BIG BROTHER 1738: Johnny Mac Out Final 3 Battle & Vanessa Wins HOH 1

big brother 1739 johnny mac evicted final 3 2015

On Wednesday night’s episode of Big Brother, Vanessa said sending Austin home was the worst thing she has ever had to do in this game. Vanessa tried to apologize to Liz, but Liz wouldn’t listen. John had told Steve he was going to blindside someone at the eviction but it wouldn’t be him. Steve said sheer dumb luck caused him to win head of household for the week. Liz said she was livid that Steve won head of household. Liz said she had to win competitions for Austin and Julia. Vanessa said evicting Austin was terrifying and now Liz would be her biggest hurdle for the week. Liz said she’s alone now because she can’t stand Steve and doesn’t care one way or another about John. Vanessa told John she will take him into the finale. John said he needed Vanessa to feel 100% safe with him.

Steve started the nomination ceremony. He nominated John and Vanessa for eviction. He congratulated them and Liz for making it to the final four and then the ceremony was over. Steve said he didn’t want Vanessa to win the power of veto and even though he is happy she kept him in the house he doesn’t trust her.

At the jury house, Julia and Austin arrived. Julia said being out of the game was hard. She told them Steve was the one who put her up for eviction. Julia said she had no animosity towards Steve. Julia said she was scared for Liz because she’s alone in the house with sharks. Austin said he thought Vanessa played a very flawed game. He said Vanessa blindsiding him was going to make her lose the game and he was going to make sure of it.

Season 12’s Brendan and Rachel talked to Julie Chen. Brendan said he needed to see John win the final competition. Rachel said the bond she and Brendan formed on Big Brother was the same bond she hoped Liz and Austin would share after the show is over.

For this week’s power of veto competition Season 16’s Caleb came in to host. Martial Smarts was this week’s game and it was a karate tournament concerning events that happened in the Big Brother house over the course of this season. Vanessa said if she won power of veto she could choose who goes into the final three with herself and Steve. Liz was the first one eliminated from the tournament and she said she was beyond frustrated and had to rely on Vanessa to win power of veto. Steve was then eliminated from the tournament. Steve said he thought he lost it because he had felt too comfortable being this week’s head of household. Vanessa won power of veto for the week. She said she thought she had repaired her relationship with Liz and now she had to decide if she would take her to final three. Liz said she hoped she could trust Vanessa.

Vanessa said she was using her veto on herself, making Liz the replacement nominee. John said he’s had fun and he knows that if she wanted him to beg she’d be disappointed. Liz said the game has been intense and challenging. She told Vanessa she has always had her back. Vanessa then evicted John from the Big Brother house.

John said he wasn’t surprised he got evicted. He told Julie Chen he would have evicted Vanessa if given the chance. He said he didn’t know what he was doing the whole time and that if he did it again he’d do things differently in the game. John wished good luck to the remaining three house guests and said he thought Vanessa and Steve would be the final two.

SPOILER ALERT:

Vanessa continues her winning ways as she’s won the first part of the final HOH so Steve and Liz have to battle part 2 of the HOH. Then the winner faces Vanessa and don’t be surprised to see Vanessa take them out too. She’s a fierce competitor. Here’s what Julie Chen had to say about her in a recent interview with THR.

You compared Vanessa to Dr. Will, why don’t you think she owns that she is this strategic player like Dan, Derrick and Dr. Will have done in the past?

I think it’s a little bit more difficult for women to say that they are the villain. I think women have this thing where at the end of the day they want to be liked and that’s what she’s feeling. I don’t think she wants to be booed by the public and that’s why she’s not taking ownership for all her evil doings.

Would fans be rooting for her more if she was more open about her game plan?

Yes, if she played more like Danielle did in season three where every minute she went in that diary room she laughed and had the devil horns. I think people would think she’s a hero, but because she’s being kind of weasely about it people are like, ‘No that’s not what we see, that’s not cool.’

What do you think she likes more: crying or saying the word ‘deal’?

(Laughs). I think it’s a toss up. Probably crying, but she’s good at it because although we as viewers can tell those are crocodile tears it works in the house. It’s very effective. People see what they want to see and they believe what they want to believe and you’d have to be pretty heartless with a woman in full tears asking you for forgiveness or asking you for sympathy. It’s just human nature.

Is her beanie a tribute to Derrick from last season?

I never thought that! (Laughs). No, I think it’s her. She’s not thinking about Derrick. She’s probably like, ‘Derrick who?’

THE PERFECT GUY Review: Fun Fluffy & Forgettable (2015)

the perfect guy movie review movie tv tech geeks 2015In a world where women want that high-powered career and a family life too, what is a girl to do when she feels that she has found the perfect guy? Run, run like hell! We all know things are what they seem.

The Perfect Guy, staring Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut has done very well in theatres since its release and there is no doubt that it is thanks to a juicy plotline, good looking stars and a crowd (mostly women) who like to live vicariously through the characters they see on screen. But seriously, I don’t know one woman who wants to go through what Leah Vaughn (Lathan) went through.

While the characters are definitely strong and the movie is entertaining, the mix of “are you serious” along with “come the hell on” makes The Perfect Guy less than remarkable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad per se, it’s just a little over the top, which takes away from what it could have been… for me.

One of the problems, once again for me, lies in Lathan’s character Leah. She is a strong, high power lobbyist that gets the job done for her firm but doesn’t take charge in her personal life when it really counts. She is in a relationship with Dave (Chestnut) and they have a good thing going but Leah wants more. When her chocolate drop doesn’t tell her what she wants to hear, she ends things. Two months later, she meets Carter Duncan (Ealy) a charming IT professional that sweeps her off her feet. I mean, he lays it on super thick even winning over her hard to please daddy by Charles S. Dutton (Roc). Then, as it always goes, he starts to show his true colors, which is too much for her to deal with. That’s when the craziness starts.

Without giving too much away, Leah goes through a lot with this man. He is controlling, he is overly aggressive, a stalker and just an all-around scary dude. The whole time I am watching the movie, and this is the writer in me, seeing all the shit he is doing to her, all I can think it “Fight back girl, fight back.”

There is a stark contrast in Leah’s character that some people may call the character arch of the movie but to me, it is just a plot hole if I can call it that. She is this take-charge woman at her work place but a sappy, helpless victim outside the office. She does start to finally clap back at Carter, but it is during the last, what, 20 minutes or so of the movie. That to me is not a character arch because I feel that a woman who is as bold, professional and badass at work as she is in the movie is the same way, to an extent, in her personal life.

I also feel like Ealy’s character is too much. I mean this guy is beyond psycho. Hiding under the bed while Leah and Dave have sex and later standing over them while they sleep. I feel that his character is extreme with the levels to which he goes. Case in point, in one scene, he sets up surveillance in her house, hacks her computer and sends a video of her and Dave having sex (from her work email) to every one of her professional contacts? That’s some unbelievable shit. Chestnut does very well in his part and he is actually very believable and relatable. He is the strong man, he is the lover, he is the protector.

With all of this nonetheless, the movie is satisfying if you are looking at for what it is on the surface. There is hot sex, there are oily chests, there are make-up moments and moments that make you smile. Michael Ealy is a good bad guy and Morris Chestnut is a good hero.

The great thing about black movies as I call them (movies that predominately star black folks if you didn’t know) they’re crossover appeal continues to grow which is seen in its initial box office numbers.

The Perfect Guy is not the perfect movie but it is worth watching. I give it a solid B.

‘Blasphemy’ to Doubt Peyton Manning But Logical To Doubt His Offensive Line

0

blasphemy to doubt peyton manning broncos 2015 nflAfter an entire offseason of hearing about Peyton Manning’s diminishing arm strength, we finally got to see what the 39-year-old quarterback could do Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens…well, kind of.

All I saw in Sunday’s matchup was just how bad the Denver Broncos offensive line really is this season. If you missed the game, it’s basically a miracle that Manning lived to see halftime. As over-used as the whole “he would have been better off with my couch blocking for him” joke is, it may actually be true in this case.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the Broncos have the worst offensive line in the NFL this season. Sure, Russell Wilson was sacked six times to Manning’s four, but the St. Louis Rams also have one of the best defensive lines in the league. It’ll be interesting to see how many times Manning hits the turf Thursday against Justin Houstin and the Kansas City pass rush.

So, back to the original point: Sunday was not a good sample of what Manning still can or cannot do. Maybe we’ll get a better idea of it tomorrow if the line can prevent Houstin from ripping Manning’s fivehead of his shoulders.

Until then, don’t you dare blaspheme the living legend.

“We all think it’s blasphemy…because Peyton, he still has it, you know,” said Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall. “He has what it takes. I think it’s just a matter of time because it’s a new offense…I definitely think it’s going to turn around. I have no issues or worries about anything.”

The chemistry between Manning and his receivers and O-line definitely looked off Sunday, so let’s hope it’s just growing pains to Gary Kubiak’s new style.

“If you’re gonna try to make a summary for the season in Week One,” said Manning, “then it’s not gonna be a great summary. That’s why you don’t make a summary in Week One.”

Valid point. If you generalize everything based off this past week, the Tennessee Titans are the frontrunners for Super Bowl 50.

Now let’s see if Manning can shut everyone up.

Cara Delevingne fires back at cinderall man richard madden 2015 gossipCara Delevingne made sure that Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden didn’t get away with his comments critiquing the young actress.

In an interview with Instyle, Richard said that Cara was “ungrateful” and “unprofessional” when discussing her cringe-worthy interview on Good Day Sacramento while promoting her movie, Paper Towns. Unfortunately for Richard, Cara caught wind of his remarks and she is definitely not one to hold back on expressing her opinions.

On Tuesday night, Cara wrote to Richard directly saying, “I have no idea who you are but I think it’s little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don’t know.” Going on to say, “If you really want attention that badly try focusing on your own work and not other people’s.”

Week 1 Results My 2015 Fantasy Football Blueprint. Watch Me Turn $100 into $0

week 1 2015 fantasy football blueprint images

After all the games were finished on Sunday for week one, I felt something strange. After all the fantasy football stats were tallied, I felt something dangerous….hope.

I was actually winning some money in my DraftKings football leagues.

Keep in mind that I still have Monday Night Football left to go. That might be a hopeful sign to some fantasy players, but it’s usually where I snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It seems like I never come from behind on late games for a win, but get run down consistently.

Is the fantasy football universe against me except on 1 pm and 4 pm games? Or is it possible my strategy is so jacked up that I lose in the same manner each and every week? We’ll see after week ten when my $100 is in other players’ accounts and this little experiment is over.

This first week, I went with my gut feelings on my picks. I was tempted to change up a few guys after seeing some expert picks and even some algorithm drafts on Rotogrinders. Sticking with my gut was important for week one. If I lose the whopping $10 I played, then I know going forward I can’t trust myself.

Kinda like Tom Coughlin with a game clock.

So, after all 14 games on Sunday I was winning a total of $17.60. That is $7.60 cents above my $10 that I deposited for week one. Note that I’m winning in all four money leagues. I entered a free league just to see some data from Thursday Night Football.

movie tv tech geeks fantasy football stats 2015 draft kingsLet’s see if that holds true after MNF. I only have paper winnings at this point. I can’t buy lunch or gas with that unfortunately. If I could I would cash out before MNF just to be safe.

Things get complicated in big leagues on DraftKings as it’s hard to see how many NFL players each opponent has left as the games wind down. I could check each guy’s lineup, but damn, I have to sleep sometime!

There has to be a simple way to read the PMR(player minutes remaining). It shows the number on the main contest screen, but I have no idea which opponent it refers to. Is it the closest one above me or below. Or is it the leader at the moment? More research, after sleep.

Going into Monday night on DraftKings I have just one player yet to go. Julio Fa-reaking Jones is a good one to have in the hole though. Maybe he keeps me in the money or bumps me up a bit.

fantasy football movie tv tech geeks picks 2015Though I have to imagine more than half the fantasy players have Jones in waiting just like me. That will actually help me if he does have an off game. My opponents will suffer, thus keeping us all close to the same position we find ourselves in after Sunday’s games.

The two or three gurus who have a sleeper who goes off for 40 fantasy points are the ones that will turn my $10 into $0.

OK, so MNF is over. Did I stay in the green or fall on my face for week one?

See for yourself below. I was pretty shocked.

final tally tues wk 1 movie tv tech geeks fantasy footballAs you can see I won $19.60 total and my balance is at $20 since I had .40 in my account originally. This experiment is going horribly right after week one. I know I am supposed to be showing you all what not to do and here I am actually winning. I’ll try to do much worse next week. Won’t take a lot of effort.

I went with my gut and it paid off. I am not rich but I doubled my money. It was just $10, but you can see how an expert full time fantasy football player could make huge money by just doubling his money consistently by simply wagering larger amounts.

The guys making a living aren’t the lucky ones you see on commercials that win million dollar tournaments. Full time grinders make money by entering the safer contests day after day.

As for my season long league on ESPN.com, I feel good about game one. I am behind after Sunday’s games 93 – 67. But I still have three players set to start on Monday night, Julio Jones being one! I also have Matt Bryant of the Falcons, who is very reliable, and also Vernon Davis of the Niners who should have a bounceback season in 2015.

I’m thinking of making individual bets each week in this ESPN league. I feel very good about things, especially after Chris Ivory scored some much needed fantasy points for my team.

So MNF ended just like I thought, with Julio Jones looking like the best wideout in the NFL. I look like a genius and have emailed my league commissioner asking if any other players would like to throw in the towel now instead of getting embarrassed by me in head to head games.

espn week one movie tv tech geeks fantasy football 2015Not only did I crush Capt Insano, I was the top scorer league wide. I almost doubled up the lowest scorer! Pretty badass I thought.

As you can see I feel much more confident in this season long league, even though things went very well on DraftKings in week one.

So, I’m off to check the waiver wire to see if I can improve upon week one’s performance on ESPN fantasy and to pick some more DK contests for next week. Thursday Night Football will be here quick.

Stay tuned…..

SHE GOT GAME Season 1 Catch up Recap

she got game reality show recap 2015 imagesIf you have not been following “She Got Game,” a reality show where rapper The Game looks for love, here is a recap of what has happened up to this point.

The Game calls on his celebrity friends to each bring a girl to him that they feel will he be his new lady. The group of 10 girls is assembled and it is clear from the beginning who Game is interested in.

He takes Destinee, Pricilla and Jennifer on the first date and Destinee throws all kinds of shade at The Game. She thinks that it is total bullshit that he claims not to remember her from some time he spent in Florida. I mean she really shows him a lot of attitude. During eliminations, he lets her go because he feels she is sneaky.

After giving Destinee the boot, he sends Melissa, Kiki and Pricilla on a private jet to Arizona while he rides on a bus with the rest of the girls. Pricilla and Melissa get into it mainly because Pricilla is psycho. She causes a lot of issues through the whole episode and gets into multiple altercations with the girls especially Sierra who really wants her off the show. Game spends time with Kiki and some others, which leads him to get rid of her because she just can’t with his life style.

Next, the girls head to St. Louis. Sierra gets a personal date with The Game and they have a really good time. However, it seems that he needs more to choose from as three more girls are added to the mix, which pisses the others off. Rebecca lets Game know how she feels and this ends up working in her favor as he gives her a lot of attention and some tongue action. In the end, he lets Melissa go because she is just too “stupid” for lack of a better term, for him

Last week, the girls all did a music video for one of Game’s songs and it proves just a little too much for some. Briona, one of the newbies, does not cooperate with the director and gets kicked off the set. Priscilla continues her rampage and snitches on Shay for having a boyfriend, which ends up costing Shay her spot in the group as The Game sends her home. Sierra also is fed up with having to compete with the girls and voluntarily leaves the show.

This week, they are in Chicago and the girls get to meet 25 of his fans. Now some of them think it is great but others feel like it is beneath them. And I am talking about Briona who it’s becoming clear, is more and more full of herself. She doesn’t like them and wants off the boat.

Brittney B. takes a lot of pictures with the fans and the other chicks are of course hating, feeling that she is being a celebrity, picture taking whore. Elle feels a certain way about not getting any attention so after getting advice from Game’s friend that got her on the show, she goes all in, sitting on Game’s lap while he eats, being all up in his face and being kind of sloppy. Shyona tries to tell her to chill. She doesn’t listen to her. The Game finally tells her to get back because according to him, “you don’t mess with a black man when he eats.” She eventually gets the picture and walks away.

The Game sends the girls away and after they leave, he asks his fans who they think should go and without a doubt they say Brionna (she’s too rude) and Elle ( she’s too aggressive) are the two mentioned the most. He uses their feedback to determine who to take out that night.

Back at the hotel, Shyona and Pricilla bond for a bit and pretty much concur that they want Elle gone.  The Brittneys also bond and believe that yes they are there for Game but that doesn’t have to get in the way of their friendship, which leads Shyona to believe that they have lost focus of their even being on the show.

He chooses Briona and Shyona to go on the date to get see if the fans are right about these two women. They go to an art studio and once again Briona shows her ass and totally turns Game off. Shyonna on the other hand, just gets extra points with him, so much so that he invites her for the after date, which pisses Briona all the way off.

Shyona doesn’t come home until the morning and the other chicks are uber upset. As they eat breakfast, she finally walks in with some strawberries and flowers and the others girls want all the details. She tells them about the drinking, about the flowers and that Game gave her massage. They are low key pissed especially Briona.

The next day, he sets up a day date with Elle, Jennifer and both Brittneys. Elle is doing the same thing she did before and it is coming off thirsty and desperate.  While she tries to get her time in, Brittney A. discusses with the others the possible reasons they are all there, suggesting that they may be there to see who he will eliminate.  They continue to vie for his attention and Brittney B.  takes the time out to kick the other girls away to spend some time with him. He asks her what she really wants and she says that it’s all about being with him. He hears her but still doesn’t fully believe what she says.

During the elimination time, The Game takes them on a dinner and Briona, right off the bat, acts very immature. But it’s all good to her because during her confession, she says that she doesn’t care that his fans don’t like her, he would never, ever get rid of her.

He goes around the table and addresses each girl individually letting them know if and why he is saving them. In the end, he gets rid of both Brittney B.  and Brittney A. since they seem to be inseparable. That’s totally messed up.

This show is definitely a guilty pleasure.

Isaac Caldiero First AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR Finale Winner

isaac caldiero wins american ninja warrior 2015 imagesThe WWE could not have scripted a better finale for the season finale of American Ninja Warrior. Like me, most fans of this show probably thought the season would end like the previous six….no idea what stage four even looked like, and certainly no million dollar winner.

We were wrong.

The three hour finale started out with 38 runners who survived stage one of the finals. Most of the athletes that had been so dominant, met their match at stage two.

Jojo Bynum was the first man up. Splash, still can’t swim.

Daniel Gil attacked the course as he had done on his prior runs, but the Roulette Wheel was too much. That obstacle was the demise of most of the runners. It was a tough transition from one wheel to the next if you didn’t go with your momentum on the first rotation.

One of my favorites, Dustin McKinney had a disastrous run as he was eliminated just six seconds into his try. Grant McCartney had the most emotional exit as his kid brother absolutely sobbed after he hit the water. Grant said his nerves got to him a bit. Lots of lights, fire, and fans going crazy. I get it.

Finally a runner passed the Roulette Wheel. Ian Dory had a hell of a run and even got an awkward hug out of Kristine Leahy. He moved onto stage three. Brian Arnold wasn’t so lucky as he failed to seize the moment on the Roulette Wheel and hung in no man’s land on the first wheel.

Travis Rosen, Crazy Craver, and Ryan Stratis all got served by stage two.

One of the coolest ninjas ever, Flip Rodriguez got knocked out as he missed the landing from the Roulette Wheel. You could tell how hurt he was after he was beaten by the course.

Isaac Caldiero made stage two look easy as he flowed right through. He said he was trying not to take the course too seriously this year and I think that’s what propelled him.

Jeremiah Morgan joined Isaac on stage three as did Kevin Bull. Abel Gonzalez made it past stage two along with my favorite to win going in, Geoff Britten.

Brent Steffensen was not so fortunate as he wiped out on the Unstable Bridge. Drew Drechsel made it through and of course the baddest weatherman on the planet made it to stage three also, Joe Moravsky.

Stage two was tough, but stage three was a real bitch and had never been conquered on ANW. That was about to change as eight ninjas were left to face stage three in Las Vegas.

Abel Gonzalez was not going to make history. This good guy got evicted from Vegas at the Ultimate Cliffhanger. Good thing stage three was untimed or else no one would have had a shot.

Kevin Bull fans got disappointed when he exited on the Cliffhanger also. Ian Dory made it past that point so smoothly, but missed on one of the last cradles at the Flying Bar.

Then came Isaac Caldiero who was supposedly built for stage three. That was his own proclamation, but it turned out to be true. He went legend as he made it all the way past stage three and waited for the last couple of runners to see if they could join him. This world class climber was a perfect fit for three.

Jeremiah Morgan and Drew Drechsel didn’t have what it took on this night as they were bounced. Joe Moravsky would have made it to stage four in my view had he not tried to do the ledge leap on the Cliffhanger without turning to face the leap.

Up next was Geoff Britten, he of coconut forearms. He breezed through the early parts of the course with his super grip and powerful upper body. He did show he was human when he tired out at the end on the Flying Bars. He was hanging on by his fingertips on the last bar as he leaped to the platform and crawled to the end! Epic run and he would join Caldiero on stage four in a race to win a million dollars. No pressure right?

Two ninjas, one rope, 75 feet in the air. 30 seconds to becoming a millionaire (before taxes :). I guess the course creators ran out of cool obstacles and just said, “Hang a giant rope, give em half a minute to reach the top. No one’s ever gonna get this far anyways.”

The simple obstacle was still scary looking. Most humans could not climb such a rope if you gave them 30 days, much less 30 seconds.

Britten was first up. His upper body strength gave him the edge over Caldeiro I thought, even though Isaac was an epic climber.

Geoff exploded up the rope like a spider monkey, but did slow a bit at the top. He reached the buzzer with .35 seconds left! He became the first American Ninja Warrior in history with that climb. The million dollars was his as long as Isaac didn’t snatch it from him. I can imagine Geoff was planning all the ways to use that cash right then and there.

That’s what most people would be doing. Planning a trip to the bank to pay off their house, starting a giant college fund for their kid, and mentally crafting a resignation letter to the bossman.

american ninja warrior isaac caldiero 2015 imagesCaldiero wiped away any big money plans Geoff had come up with as he exploded up the 75 foot rope at stage four. One of the top climbers on the planet and what does he have to do to get $1,000,000? Climb like hell!

That’s just what he did, reaching the top of the rope to hit the buzzer in just over 26 seconds, ripping the million dollars from Britten, just like that. The two men had a nice hug after the fact which was cool and on point with the spirit of ANW.

Seven years in the making, two unbelievable athletes reached the pinnacle of American Ninja Warrior. Geoff Britten and Isaac Caldiero had lots of people behind them as they made history. Their success was built on hard work, a bit of luck, shear will, and also the experience of warriors who had gone before them.

It took seven years for someone to conquer all four stages on ANW, but those first six seasons weren’t failures. The ninjas that came close in years past paved the way for the two men in 2015. All the American Ninja Warriors learned by watching others, training with groups, and pushed each other past the limits of seemingly impossible obstacle courses.

It was the ninjas as a community that conquered Vegas.

american nina warrior final two winners isaac caldiero with geoff britten 2015I wish both guys could have had the million dollar prize since it was so hard to get. But Caldiero beat the course and Britten’s time fair and square. I don’t know how much different Caldiero’s life will be now that he’s rich. Dude lived a very free life beforehand. I do imagine he will quit his bus boy gig though.

I had a blast covering this amazing show in 2015 and  look forward to next season. I bet Geoff will be back and surely Caldiero will return to defend his title as American Ninja Warrior.

The prize money should end Caldiero’s career as a busboy and working odd jobs to support his rock climbing and ninja training, Caldiero tells MarketWatch, but he insists he won’t be adventurous with his newfound wealth. “You’re not going to see us driving around in a brand-new Ferrari,” Caldiero says. “I’m going to be smart with the money and invest it.”

Though he wouldn’t get into specifics, beyond saying he’s still talking to trusted friends in the financial industry, Caldiero suggests he’ll be far more risk-averse in stocks than he is on rocks.

Though it’s more money than he’s ever seen, after taxes he won’t exactly be a millionaire, Caldiero notes. But other than the $3,000 he owes on his Subaru, he doesn’t really have any debt. So he plans to share his winnings with his family, replace the motor on his 1978 Dodge Jamboree RV, and invest the rest to support an ascetic lifestyle centered on traveling and climbing across the country with his girlfriend.

“For the past six years, my girlfriend and I have lived on less than $10,000 a year,” says Caldiero, who has had “home bases” in Utah and Nevada. “There have been times I’ve had less than $20 to my name — there were times I’d eat cereal and water for breakfast and live on ramen noodles and potatoes, and sleep in the front seat of my car or in the RV.”

Caldiero says he’s learned to strategize with his limited means. “Who needs all that consuming, anyway?” he asks. “It’s a lot of sacrifice, but it’s worth it to have the ultimate freedom we have.”

Aside from climbing and traveling, Caldiero says he’d also like to work to increase awareness of the ninja sport. Along with rock climbing, parkour and ninja gyms have surged in popularity as people search for fitness alternatives to more traditional workouts.

Pressed to name one item he might splurge on, Caldiero concedes he’s long overdue for some new clothes. “I might buy myself a nice shirt,” he says, which may surprise fans who’ve only seen him topless on the show.

La Liga Week 3 Soccer Recap 2015

la liga week 3 soccer recap steven nzonzi images 2015In the first match of the third week of theSpanish league season, Levante and Sevilla played out a 1-1 draw. Steven N’Zonzi had put the Andalusians ahead in the first half, but Roberto Camarasa’s strike grabbed a point for Levante. The draw means that Unai Emery’s side are still left looking for their first win of the 2015/16 season.

Real Madrid were in marauding form against Espanyol and ran away 6-0 victors on the back of a sizzling performance from Cristiano Ronaldo who grabbed five goals for the side. The win was second successive for Los Blancos and moved them second in the table behind Barcelona – who are the only team with a 100 per cent record after the first three games of the season.

In a closely fought encounter, newly promoted Sporting Gijon threatened to clinch all three points against Valencia, but Los Che’s perseverance paid off as they grabbed a late winner to move eighth in the table with their first win of the season.

In the biggest match of the week, the winners of the last two league titles, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, went head to head at the Vicente Calderon. The Catalan giants started the game with Lionel Messi – who had missed the final day’s training owing to the birth of his second son – on the bench. Despite the absence of the Argentine in the starting eleven until the hour mark, Barcelona were the dominant team and looked the superior of the two sides. Fernando Torres broke the deadlock in the second half, but Los Rojiblancos’ lead lasted only a few minutes as Neymar struck a majestic free-kick to bring the scores level.

Messi came in on the hour mark and his impact was immediate. He ultimately grabbed his team’s winner to ensure a third successive league win for his side.

A Ruben Castro strike settled Real Betis’ encounter against David Moyes’ Real Sociedad who are yet to score a goal this season.

Villarreal won 3-1 over Granada while reigning Spanish Super Cup champions Athletic Bilbao defeated Getafe by the same margin. The win moved the Yellow Submarine to fourth in the table, while the Basque giants’ first win saw them move to tenth in the standings.

In the most exciting game of the weekend Celta Vigo and Las Palmas played out a 3-3 draw.

Eibar, who were relegated last season only to be reinstated due to the financial irregularities at Elche, remain unbeaten in the league so far. After two successive wins, they held Malaga to a scoreless draw and are fifth in the table – highest of all Basque teams.

In the final match of week three, Deportivo La Coruna defeated Rayo Vallecano three goals to one courtesy of strikes from Celso Borges, Luis Alberto and Lucas. Adri Embarba scored the Madrid outfit’s solitary goal. The win moved Deportivo La Coruna to seventh spot in the league standings – they have drawn their other two games. Meanwhile, Rayo Vallecano are 19th in the table.

Bundesliga Week 4 Soccer Round Up 2015 Recap

bundesliga soccer week 4 round up recap 2015 imagesThe fourth week of the Bundesliga kicked off with a 3-0 win by last season’s relegation strugglers Hamburg SV over last term’s high flyers Borussia Monchengladbach, who will soon be starting their Champions League campaign.

Lucien Favre’s side are enduring a torrid time in the league this season as they have lost all four of their games, while conceding 11 goals in the process. As a consequence, they sit bottom of the league standings and need to resuscitate their campaign soon if they are to repeat their heroics from last season.

Newly promoted Darmstadt continued their unbeaten run in the league as they downed Bayer Leverkusen by a solitary goal to move to 11th in the table.

Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich needed a lucky penalty in the dying moments of their clash against Augsburg to register their fourth successive win and remain second in the table behind Borussia Dortmund. The Bavarian giants went behind just before the half time, but a goal from Robert Lewandowski brought the scores level and the late penalty converted by Thomas Muller won them all three points.

Last season’s Bundesliga runners-up Wolfsburg were held to a scoreless draw by newly promoted Ingolstadt. The result meant the Wolves are third in the table while Ingolstadt are ninth in the standings.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel’s Borussia Dortumund continued their sizzling run this season as they put four goals past Hannover to win their fourth successive Bundesliga game which was also their ninth successive win in all competitions. More importantly, the BVB are playing attacking football and have put 15 goals past their league opponents at the rate of almost four goals per game. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace for the Black and Yellows and Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored once again to swell his tally for the season to nine strikes in all competitions.

A goal each from Genki Haraguchi and Fabian Lustenberger gave Hertha Berlin a 2-1 win over VfB Stuttgart, who second from the bottom in the table, having lost all four of their matches so far.

Alexander Meier scored hat-trick, Luc Castaignos grabbed a brace while Haris Seferovic scored one of his own to help Eintracht Frankfurt to a 6-2 hammering of 1. FC Koln. The comprehensive win places Eintracht Frankfurt fourth in the league standings as they dream of a return to the Champions League after a long absence. The season is still long and much can happen from now until the end of the season, but Armin Veh’s men have looked impressive in their four games so far.

Werder Bremen defeated TSG Hoffenheim 3-1 and climbed to sixth in the league table, while Hoffenheim are left looking for their first win of the 2015/16 Bundesliga campaign and are hovering above the relegation zone in 15th.

Joel Matic and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar were on the scoresheet for Schalke as they defeated Mainz 2-1. The win sees the Royal Blues move amongst the European spots in fifth.

Serie A Week 3 Soccer Recap 2015

Iago Falque and Juan Manuel Iturbe struck a goal each for Roma against newly promoted Frosinone and registered their second win of the campaign and moved to fifth in the Serie A table. The Italian capital outfit have looked strong so far and look like the side that will challenge Juventus for the league title this season. Rudi Garcia’s side have also been helped by the poor form of the Old Lady.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men, who have won the last four league titles and were in the final of the Champions League against Barcelona in June this year, have endured a difficult start to their campaign as they lost their first two games – against Udinese and Roma. And they looked set to lose their third successive game of the season against Chievo Verona as Perparim Hetemaj’s early strike had put the away side ahead. But the home side were given a lifeline in the 83rd minute when they were awarded a controversial penalty. Paulo Dybala made no mistake from the spot to win Juventus their first point of the season.

Hellas Verona and Torino played out a 2-2 draw on Saturday at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi. The clash between Empoli and Napoli also finished in a 2-2 draw. Riccardo Saponara and Manuel Pucciarelli were on the scoresheet for Empoli while Lorenzo Insigne and Allan Loureiro scored the goals for Napoli.

Another two matches ended in 2-2 draw – between Palermo and Carpi, and Sassuolo and Atalanta.

Palermo, who lost their star of last season Paulo Dybala to Juventus in the summer transfer window, remain unbeaten in the league and are currently sitting in seventh in the standings, while newly promoted Carpi won their first point of the season and are 18th in the league table.

Sassuolo are now sixth and Atalanta are tenth after the first three games of their 2015/16 league campaign.

Alessandro Matri grabbed a brace for Lazio to help them register a 2-0 win over Udinese which came at the back of a 4-0 shellacking they received at the hands of Chievo Verona in their previous match. The Italian capital side are now ninth, while Udinese are 13th.

In the biggest match of the weekend, the Milan giants played the first derby of the season. Both the sides struggled in the last campaign and finished in the middle of the table. But they have done extensive business in the transfer window and are aiming to return to European football.

Carlos Bacca was very impressive but a goal evaded AC Milan. In the 58th minute Fredy Guarin’s long range effort proved enough for Roberto Mancini’s side to ensure all three points from the first Milan derby of the season.

In the final game of the week 3 action, a goal each from Citadin Eder and Roberto Soriano helped Sampdoria to a 2-0 win over Bologna.

Top 10 Soccer Players Who Can Make It Big In Premier League 2015 2016 Season

0

top players for premier league pedro rodriguez 2015 soccerPedro Rodriguez

In a major coup, Chelsea completed the acquisition of Pedro Rodriguez, who up until the Stamford Bridge outfit’s bid, looked on his way to Manchester United or Manchester City. The former Barcelona man showed his qualities on his Blues’ debut with a goal and an assist each. If early signs are anything to go by, there is still a lot to come from the Canary Islander.

Nicolas Otamendi

The latest Manchester City acquisition is going to significantly bolster their defence. The Citizens were hampered by the fitness issues of Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Managala’s first season jitters last term, but in Otamendi they have a player tailor-made for the Premier League.

Dimitri Payet

The France international has landed at Upton Park from Marseille and has stamped his class in his first few games in the English Premier League. He ran the show in the Hammers’ wins over Arsenal and Liverpool and will be even more effective once he settles in to the new league.

Kurt Zouma

The burly Frenchman made 15 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last season; however, he has seen action in all four of their league games so far this season. And with John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic struggling for form, Zouma is likely to play a significant role in Chelsea’s campaign.

Hector Bellerin

The young Catalan was unexpectedly thrust into the Arsenal first team last season after injuries to several defenders. But despite his young age, the right-back held his own and secured a place in the team on merit. He has been preferred over Mathieu Debuchy so far.

Morgan Schneiderlin

The former Southampton man has moved to Manchester United and has featured in all of the Red Devils’ games so far. The elegant Frenchman is expected to hold his new team together from his position in deep midfield – a role he excelled in at St. Mary’s.

Christian Benteke

The Belgian had been prolific during his stint at Aston Villa and has earned a move to Liverpool. The 24-year-old has netted only once from his first four games for the Reds, but with promise of much better service at Anfield, the forward is likely to be among the top goalscoeres come the season’s end.

Jordy Clasie

The Dutchman has been brought to Southampton by Ronald Koeman and the midfielder – who has garnered comparisons with Xavi Hernandez – will be keen to make absence of Morgan Schneiderlin not felt by the St. Mary’s faithful.

Andre Ayew

The Ghana international is fast proving himself to be the signing of the season so far. The Swansea City forward came for free from Marseille and has scored three goals from his first four games for the Swans.

Xherdan Shaqiri

The Switzerland international made an unexpected move when he landed at the Britannia Stadium from Inter Milan. The skilful winger will be eager to stamp his obvious class at Stoke City and elevate them to greater heights.

league steve rannazzisi lied about 911 escape 2015 gossipSteve Rannazzisi Lies About 9/11 Escape

You have to really be one sick pup to lie about being a part of one of the most devastating events to ever happen to this country. Comedian Steve Rannazzisi did just that and has finally admitted that his escaping from 9/11 was all a lie.

“The League” star made up an elaborate, harrowing story about working at Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor of the south tower when the north tower was attacked. He claimed that after seeing/hearing it, he took to the streets before his own building when down which he attributed to the moment he realized he should pursue what he loved most because life was too short to wait.

Now how he was able to go on as long as he did telling this lie is beyond me because surely someone present with him during that time would have spoken up sooner. But as he was confronted recently with evidence that debunks his story, he had no choice but to tell the truth. His publicist released this statement:

“I was not at the Trade Center on that day… I don’t know why I said this. This was inexcusable. I am truly, truly sorry.”

You don’t know why you made this up?

This, no doubt, will affect his sponsorships and other endorsement he has with brands like Buffalo Wild Wings.

While he has declined interviews, he has made this statement,

“For many years, more than anything…I have wished that, with silence, I could somehow erase a story told by an immature young man. It only made me more ashamed. How could I tell my children to be honest when I hadn’t come clean about this?”

Such a load of crap!

nene leakes says no amiyah scott for real housewives of atlanta 2015 gossipNene Leakes and Amiyah Scott Beefing… Over… What?

NeNe truly is something else and even if you don’t like her, you kind of have to give her credit for having guts out of this world.  I mean really, she does not care at all.

Most recently she has said some things about Amiyah Scott the transgender model who we all thought was joining this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to Leakes, it’s not true and was only rumored so the network can get more viewers since she has left the show.

Of course Scott clapped back at NeNe suggesting that NeNe herself is a transgendered woman.

“I just don’t understand why it’s so much shade…You would think that transgender women would support each other.”

There is always so much going on and NeNe, as when she was on the show, is the center of it all. Not only has she said Scott is not joining the show, but also mentioned that the others (Kim Fields, Sheree Whitfield, etc) aren’t joining either, which is interesting because from what I have seen, Whitfield and Fields have been at tapings for season eight, so

terrance howard personal life rivals empire 2015 gossipTerrance Howard Personal Issues Getting the Best of Him? Or is his life imitating Lucious Lyon on Empire?

You would think that with Terrance Howard being on the hottest show set to return to television next week, Empire, he would be in a pretty okay place financially. But when you have ex-wives and personal issues to deal with, it can make even the best things in life seem distant. His Lucious rivals his own personal life mess so it’s easy to see why he’s taken to that character so well.

It is no secret that Terrance has been going through a pretty ugly court situation with one of his exes who supposedly was trying to stick him for all his paper. There have even been reports that he is broke and living off of his current but soon to be ex-wife.

He recently let us in on more than just a little bit in reference to the things that use to go down with him and his exes and has admitting to hitting at least one of them in front of their children.

“She was talking to me real strong, and I lost my mind and slapped her in front of the kids.” Howard, who was arrested following the incident, tells the magazine. “Her lawyer said it was a closed fist, but even slapping her was wrong.” (The police report also notes that Howard “punched her twice with a closed fist.”)

As for his second wife, Michelle Ghent, Howard was accused (in a lawsuit she filed) of beating her severely in 2013 in Costa Rica.

According to the lawsuit, Howard “followed [Ghent] into the restroom of the rental house and punched her on the left side of her face. [Howard] also grabbed [her] by her neck and pushed her against the bathroom wall and strangled her for several seconds.”

Howard responds to these allegations as well in the Rolling Stone interview. “She was trying to Mace me,” Howard explains, “and you can’t see anything so all you can do is try to bat somebody away, and I think that something caught her. But I wasn’t trying to hit her.”

Howard’s relationship with his current wife, Mira Pak, also appears to be conflicted. Pak — the mother of Howard’s son Qirin — is present and affectionate throughout most of the interview, and Howard remarks of their relationship, “When you meet your one, it’s completely balanced … I’ve got a good wife.” Strangely, Pak reportedly separated from Howard in 2014 and earlier this year, filed for a divorce, which is expected to be finalized soon.

It kind of makes sense now why he seems to have so many problems dealing with the court situation. Based on his Rolling Stones interview, Terrance is kind of crazy himself. Even in his third marriage, that is supposedly about to end, it is clear that he is somewhat of a troubled man. According to his current wife Pak,

“He’s not perfect. Doesn’t do the dishes. Doesn’t cook. Doesn’t lift a finger. I probably leave him 30 times a month…He’s so selfish. But, you know, he didn’t have much of a childhood. It was difficult for him being picked on and bullied all the time. We don’t have a normal life.”

That is truly sad.
