What’s Wrong With Chelsea?

0

whats wrong with chelsea soccer gary cahill with john terry 2015 imagesJose Mourinho stayed true to his record of doing exceptionally well in his second season, as he guided Chelsea to the Premier League title last term with ease. The Blues were extremely dominant over the course of the 2014/15 season and ultimately clinched the title long before they took the field for their last game of the campaign.

They were dominant not just against the smaller teams, but also bossed some of the Premier League giants on way to a triumphant campaign that ultimately ended in a domestic double of the league title and the League Cup, which they won after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the final at Wembley in March.

After such a dominant display, it was only appropriate that Chelsea were tipped by most pundits to continue their dominance of the Premier League and retain the title this season, especially after witnessing the disjointed and lethargic displays from Manchester City, the incoherence of Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United, the perennial inconsistency of Arsenal and the blow hot blow cold approach of Liverpool.

But the start to the 2015/16 campaign has left most watchers befuddled. Five matches in, Chelsea can count only one win – over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns – and have lost thrice – to Everton, Crystal Palace and Manchester City. The sequence of results has left Mourinho’s side flirting with relegation zone in 17th spot.

And it is not the case that the Stamford Bridge residents have been unlucky with the results. They have simply looked second best in most of the games they have played. They were lucky to get a point from their inaugural game against Swansea, who looked better of the two sides. Manchester City completely outplayed Mourinho’s men at the Etihad Stadium on their way to a 3-0 win. Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace also fully deserved their three points, and Everton completely toyed with Chelsea in their 3-1 win at Goodison Park.

There are plenty of problems plaguing Chelsea at the moment.

Firstly, the centre-back duo of Gary Cahill and John Terry has failed to replicate their form from last season. Age seems to be catching with the 34-year-old Chelsea captain, who had to be withdrawn after half time against Manchester City in favour of Kurt Zouma.

The ever dependable right-back Branislav Ivanovic has also been found wanting and has been scorched time and again by pacy wingers running full pelt on his side of the defence.

Cesc Fabregas looks completely disinterested on the pitch and has failed to complement his midfield partner Nemanja Matic, who has also been unable to reach his high standards of the last campaign. He appears laggard in his movements and appears shy of attacking the ball with the same zeal that he did last term.

Eden Hazard has looked threatening, but only in patches. Nowhere close to his usual self.

There are problems aplenty for Mourinho to address and sooner he gets them sorted the better the chances for the Blues of resuscitating their faltering Premier League campaign.

Premier League Week 5 Soccer Recap 2015

0

premier league week 5 soccer recap images steven naismith 2015The fifth week of 2015/16 kicked off with a clash between reigning English champions Chelsea and Everton at Goodison Park. The Blues had dispatched the Toffees 6-3 in the corresponding fixture last term, but they went in to the match on the back of a 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge at the hands of Crystal Palace.

The match started badly for the Toffees as they had to substitute Steven Naismith in for Mohamed Besic inside the first ten minutes due to an injury to the Bosnian, but Naismith’s introduction turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the home side as he grabbed a hat-trick to condemn the visitors to their third loss in their first five games of the season.

A goal each from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud handed Arsenal a 2-0 win over Mark Hughes’ Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium that moved the Gunners to fourth spot in the league standings.

Manchester City continued their marauding start to the season as they registered their fifth successive league win. They were frustrated by Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace and needed an unlikely hero in Kelechi Iheanacho who grabbed a late winner to hand the Citizens all three points at Selhurst Park. On current form, it is hard to see past Manchester City as possible league winners come May.

Norwich City defeated fellow Premier League newbies Bournemouth 3-1 to move 9th in the table with two wins from their first five games, whereas the Cherries are lying 16th.

An Odion Ighalo strike was sufficient to give Watford all three points against Garry Monk’s Swansea City, who have enjoyed a stellar start to their campaign, having beaten Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium in their last game.

West Bromwich Albion and Southampton played out a scoreless stalemate at the Hawthorns.

In the biggest match of the weekend, Manchester United defeated fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford 3-1 to move to third in the league standings behind Manchester City and Leicester City. Daley Blind put the hosts ahead with an expertly taken free-kick and an Ander Herrera penalty doubled their lead.

Christian Benteke scored a specatacular overhead kick towards the end to give the Reds some hope of a comeback, but the visitors were dealt a crushing blow when Manchester United debutante Anthony Martial introduced himself to the Old Trafford faithful with a brilliant goal that ensured all three points for the hosts.

Tottenham Hotspur registered their first win of the 2015/16 league season when a strike from Ryan Mason ensured all three points for the Lilywhites against Dick Advocaat’s Sunderland. The win moved Spurs to 12th in the table, while the Black Cats were left 19th.

West Ham United registered their first home win of the season to add to their away wins over Arsenal and Liverpool courtesy of twin strikes from Dimitri Payet that moved Slaven Bilic’s side to fifth. On the other hand, Steve McClaren’s men are dwelling at the bottom with no wins from their first five games.

TI Backtracks On Iggy Azalea & THE VIEW’s Joyless Sponsor

Yes! Friday is here and I have some juicy gossip for you. T.I. backtracks quickly on Iggy Azalea, Miss America shade is thrown and Joy Behar knocks off a sponsor for “The View.”

ti backtracks on iggy azalea split 2015 gossipT.I Has Ended his Professional Relationship with Rapper Iggy Azalea

The day has finally come. T.I is no longer dealing with Iggy. The Australian rapper who took the world by storm has been kicked to the curb by her Grand Hustler mentor.

The Atlanta rapper said that the way Iggy’s team dealt with the cultural appropriation that so many have accused her of put him in a bad position and after everything was said and done, he made the choice to distant himself from her. He cites in particular the situation between Q-Tip and Iggy and how her people back peddled on the work he did to smooth things out as the last straw.

“After the Q-Tip thing, after I kind of had smoothed it over, like, OK, ‘What is really meant to be said… it was cool, everything was cool, and then [Iggy and her team] kind of came back and undid what I had just done…”

There is no doubt the backlash that she has been receiving since she pretty much cam e on the scene, took a toll on her as a person and a rapper. Q-Tip was no doubt the most respectful of all the people calling her out and with her telling him that she doesn’t need a history lesson on rap and blackness to particular in the culture, that made the situation worse.

And probably what’s the most interesting turn in these events is that Iggy is claiming to have had no idea that T.I felt the way he feels or that he was going to distance himself from her.

“Personally, I don’t think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone that’s part of your team… He seems to think there’s nothing wrong with what he said, everybody else seems to disagree… I’m sure tip will publicly clarify what he meant when he feels he has the right platform to do so and other than that, I’m chillin.”

We are too, Iggy, we are too!

Naturally, TI has backtracked rather quickly after it hit the media, and he’s now saying, “That’s still my partner,” the 34-year-old hip hop star clarified in a new interview, per Vulture, noting that she’s still his “little sister”. ”Her life has taken her in a different direction. My life is still as it was before. But Iggy is doing what she feels makes Iggy happy. That’s what she should do. We’re focused on making the next Iggy record and dodge the same adversities we faced last time.”

T.I. had previously cited Azalea’s Twitter feud with Q-Tip last December, which concerned issues of cultural appropriation and the history of hip-hop, as the breaking point in their professional relationship, but he now says he simply wanted to “pull back” after the controversy.

“It’s definitely not a ‘sever my ties, walk away, I’m upset’ thing,” he said. “It was more so like, OK, you have a lot on your plate right now. I’m going to pull back or wait until you come to a place where you’re ready to come back to the table, so we can start again and make history some more.”

I can already predict how this will go down. TI is basically saying that he and Iggy are taking a ‘break,’ but five years will go by and you’ll realize they never did anything else together. It’s a politically correct way of breaking it off without hurting anyone’s feelings….kind of like the ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ BS.

miss america suzette charles vanessa williams 2015 gossip1984 Miss America Suzette Charles Hating on Vanessa Williams

So yes, Vanessa Williams got a long over due apology from the Miss America organization during the ceremony on Sunday and while most people believed that it was the right thing to do, Suzette Charles, the runner up who took VW’s place when she stepped down doesn’t think so.

“I’m not sure what that was all about. I have a feeling that was about ratings… “I think that as accomplished as she is and has worked so tirelessly for 32 years to build her career and to prove to America what she was always about, I’m not sure why she needed that apology.”

It sounds to me that there is a whole lot of hating going on with Charles. Of course there were horrible things said about Vanessa and her family then. The organization was still predominately white and reeling over the fact that a black woman won.

She just seems a little salty. Why not just support and congratulate instead of trying to figure out why they are saying sorry.

joy behar nurse joke lose view advertiser johnson johnson 2015 gossipThe View Loses Sponsor over Bad Taste Nurse Jokes

It is no secret that The View has been struggling in the last few years to recapture the ratings and support of its glory. But making tasteless jokes about a profession as beloved as nursing has proved to be a horrible idea and they are paying for it.

Apparently, their sponsors thought so too and two of their major ones have already dropped them. Johnson & Johnson and England’s Best pulled their ads from the show’s time slot. The View is definitely doing damage control, as they brought on “real-life nurses” to give “a look at the life-saving role they play every day.”

Joy Behar, who has always been a source of controversy, is the one to blame (as well as Michelle Collins) for the offensive comments. She made the horrible joke about Miss Colorado Kelley Johnson whose talent for the Miss America pageant consisted of a monologue about being a nurse.

The two sponsors decided to pull their ads after an outcry from many of their customers and supporters, who are all apart of the medical/nursing profession, expressed their offense about the comments.

Goes to show the importance of watching what you say.

BRING IT! 221 Get Yo Pom Poms In A Panic

bring it 219 recap pom pom panic images 2015Another team coach with an attitude arrives on this episode on Bring It, the girls compete in a very important and different kind of battle. Dianna also reflects on the summer season and feels that the drama she’s been going through with other coaches has almost threw her off her game because she’s had to focus more on the adults than the girls. But, of course, we all know there is no stopping her from losing focus.

The Dancing Dolls compete in the pompom competition at Port City Majorette Battle and only the top four from that competition will get a chance to compete in the stand battle.

Dianna does not make the usual three dancers compete for solo captain spot, one of the three categories they are dancing in this week. She chooses Camryn for the routine. Dianna pretty much as her dancing in a cage with the theme “unleash the beast.” Hmmmm, a young girl, dancing in a cage… IDK how age appropriate that is but hey, it’s TV so go figure.

This week too, Dianna shows a soft side as she and her husband renew their vows. Miss D tries to show calm putting all her focus into practicing but the girls bring out the excitement in her. Since this is going down, the moms, in particular Mimi (suck up) decide to throw her a bachelorette party.

As far as leading the girls in the stand battle, Dianna picks MaKalah since she did such a good job last week when she, Camyrn and Crystianna competed and won the trio captain stance. Mimi, of course, throws shade because to her, Carmyn is the greatest thing since Janet Jackson, but you know how mommas are. They believe that their kids are the best so.

One of their biggest completions this week (there are two) is the Southern Royalettes and their coach, Sharon, is coming for Dianna. They may be new but they are picking up trophies “left and right.” Sharon believes that because she is a trained teacher skilled in a variety of dance genres, that experiencing gives her girls an upper hand over the Dancing Dolls. “Dianna has a great team but when we hit the floor all the audience is going to be cheering Southern Royalettes.

Mixed into the competition is the Columbus Jaguars and it is clear the their coach is extremely petty. He leaves a note on the Dollhouse’s door to let Dianna and the girls know that he is going to “beat their butts.” This of course doesn’t sit well with Miss D because of all the ways to “talk trash” you leave a letter on the door? Um, okay.

Moving on from that, the girls have trouble learning the pompom routine as they just can’t seem to get it together. They are running out of time and Dianna is running out of patience, especially because they can’t move on to practice for the stand battle routine.

While Dianna is giving it to the girls, Mimi and the other mom’s throw her bachelorette party in the parents lounge. Mimi knows that it is going to be hard to get her in the back but comes up with a “story” to get her attention. She tells her that two of the moms are fighting and as Dianna comes in, the surprise her.

The ladies have a good time and Dianna actually has a good time too. She sits back, smiles and says “thank you” to all of them. It is just a good moment for the show. No fighting, no shade (from what they showed) and no yelling. Yay!

On the day of competition, DD’s two biggest rivals are ready for them. All three teams look good but of course it is all about the Dancing Dolls and they look great on the floor. Although Dianna and the moms think the girls did well, the judges don’t crack a smile, which kind of alarms Dianna but she stays calm.

In between the competitions, while waiting on the judges to decide who moves on to the stand battle, Dianna and the Columbus Jaguars’ coach have a little run in. He acts like he knows her, she asks who are you, he says the one who left the note on the Dollhouse’s door and she lets him have it. She tells him how petty it was and silly and he “disagrees.” It then just escalates too quickly. I mean it just gets so out of hand that security steps in. There is cussing and yelling and … just… no man should be that petty with a woman. Period. Sigh… but I digress.

Next up is the captain solo competition and Mimi is a little worried because Carmyn hasn’t had time to really practice. First out on the dance floor are the Southern Royalettes and they are a really good team, doing flips, moves and all that jazz. Then Carmyn comes out in her cage. While it is indeed, a little over the top, it works and she does great because guess what, she doesn’t actually dance in the cage.  I have to admit, this is probably the best I have ever seen her dance.

The girls make it into the top four and are ready to win the stand battle. DD goes against the Exquisite Starlets and they beat them, advancing to the final round. As for the other two teams, the Southern Royalettes beat the Columbus Jaguars, which is just sweet victory for Dianna.

In the stand battle, they girls are doing very well, until one of the lifts goes wrong. But none of that matters because the Dancing Dolls win first place in every category in which they danced.

In the end, at Dianna’s wedding, everyone has a great time, as Dianna truly looks amazing. It is a beautiful wedding, people cry, even Miss D herself and is the perfect ending to the episode.

There are only a few more competitions left before the big Summer Slam and the revealing of DD’s new captain.

TOTAL DIVAS 411: Paige’s Unwanted Proposal

Don’t put a ring even close to it is the theme of this episode of “Total Divas” when with Paige and her boyfriend Kevin went jewelry shopping and she thought it was odd he was asking her questions. Naomi said her husband John is so funny he could be a stand-up comedian. She said she wanted him to explore other career options. Brie and Nikki had a picnic lunch in Central Park. Paige said her friends thought Kevin was going to propose marriage to her and that is why he was asking her questions in the jewelry store. She said she was stressed out and not ready to be married or even engaged.

Brie, Daniel Bryan, Brie’s mom, brother and sister in law met for lunch to celebrate Daniel Bryan’s birthday. They talked about Brie and Daniel’s future and the future of his wrestling career. Dolph Ziggler said he could get John Cena a stand-up comedy opportunity at the Laugh Factory in L.A. John practiced stand-up comedy at home in front of Naomi and her dad. Naomi said she didn’t think it was going to consist of jokes about her. She told Dolph Ziggler John’s comedy was horrible because it was all mean jokes about her.

Paige and Kevin went on a date and she was afraid he was going to propose to her. She kept changing up the subject when he was talking about romance. She went to the bathroom and called Alicia. She said she thought Kevin was going to propose and she couldn’t handle it.

Brie told Daniel Bryan his health is more important to her than money. She said he was living in the moment and couldn’t imagine his wrestling career being over. John said he was nervous to be performing at the Laugh Factory and didn’t know if he was funny enough. Dolph Ziggler and Naomi were there to see him perform. Naomi called it the moment of truth.

Paige and Kevin went to a tattoo shop. Kevin showed her a tattoo he had that said “will you marry me.” Then he got down on one knee and presented her with a ring. Paige said yes and Kevin put the ring on her finger.

GOODNIGHT MOMMY Review 2015 Far From the Hype

goodnight mommy review images 2015Goodnight Mommy, hailed as the best horror film of the year, I am sorry to burst the bubble, is far from that.

I know that we like to give foreign films a lot of accolades because, ya know, American’s don’t know how to do the genre well, but this movie does not live up to the hype that the Internet has given it.

In limited released, Goodnight Mommy tells the story of Lukas and Elias, twins who have to readjust to their mother’s return to the home after something tragic. An accident (we assume) caused severe damage to her face and for a good portion of the movie her face is covered in bandages. The boys confide in each other about everything and from the beginning we are made to believe that the mother is not really their mother.

Now before I go any further, this movie review does have spoilers. So continue reading at your own risk.

The story is not that different from others that we have seen. It is actually quite easy to see from the beginning the plot twist. I figured it out within the first 30 minutes of the movie (and will tell you in a few).

We are not told much about the mother or why the boys believe that she is not really their “mutti.” Yes she has bandages and yes the way they cover her bruises does give her an eerie, frightening feel but let me be clear to tell you that this is not a horror film. It is barely a thriller.

One of the central conflicts of the movie is that Elias is upset with his mother for not acknowledging Lukas. She doesn’t feed him, she doesn’t listen to him, she doesn’t not react to him in any capacity. This is because, big surprise here, Lukas is just a figment of Elias imagination, in that he did exist but died. As a way to deal with his brother being gone, and for feeling some kind of responsibility for his death, he wills him still alive by talking to him. Lukas, in essence is really Elias’ alter ego and serves as the antagonist in the movie.

The boys’ suspicion really picks up as they go and visit a church and a police station to report that their mother is missing. Because people in the city know what happened, they entertain Elias and bring him back to his mother without incident. This is when the boys start to hatch their plan to get the truth out of the woman they deem an imposter.

This is also where it gets really graphic and gruesome. The things that these boys do to their mother are horrible. They tie her to a bed, they burn her face with a light of the sun through a magnifying glass. They GLUE her lips together after she gets the tape they initially put over her mouth off and then they cut it back open, causing blood to just gush from her mouth.

The thing about Goodnight Mommy is that it doesn’t explain important details. Why does Elias not believe the woman is his mother and how did Lukas die, are relevant to the full telling and understanding of this story, to me.

The movie is slow to start, which I know is something that foreign films are known for, but it did not deliver on its creepy crawly unfolding. On top of that, the premise of the story, a twin imagining his brother is still alive and we see it as such, is not impressive.

In the end, the “boys” finally let their mother go and she almost gets away, but is caught by one of their booby trap, which ultimately becomes her demise (she trips and hits her head). When she comes to, she is tied, there are candles surrounding her and the Elias is standing over her. She knows that she is in for something bad so she tries to reason with him saying that she will start speaking to Lukas again and making him breakfast as well. Elias almost gives in but “Lukas” talks him out of it and he sets the house on fire. We see his mother engulfed in flames screaming in agony.

It is clear early on in the movie the direction in which it will go. Some people like it and some, like myself don’t. There isn’t enough suspense and it just turns into a sick situation.  I give it a C.

MAZE RUNNER: THE SCORCH TRIALS Latest Clip Hits With Release

0

maze runner scorch trials trailer clip 2015

The newest series that Hollywood is trying to force-feed as the replacement for the Hunger Games (which is coming to an end this year) is the Maze Runner.

Unfortunately the first movie, which came out in 2014, didn’t garner all too much hype and ended up with a rating of 63% on Rotten Tomatoes. Many critics claimed that the film was trying too hard to be the next HG and ultimately, this lead to disappointment. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is faring worse with a 49% as it rolls into theaters today.

However, it did garner up a relatively healthy performance at the box office and thus studios aren’t ready to give up on the story just yet. They have now released the trailer for the sequel film, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, which will be in theatres in the fall of 2015.

The trailer shows the films lead Dylan O’Brien reprising his role as Thomas. Thomas, alongside his fellow Gladers, is now battling against the all-mighty organization W.C.K.D. while trying to survive the dangerous obstacles throughout Scorch, the desolate landscape outside of the maze.

Director Wes Ball explained the sequel’s concept saying, “it really does pick up immediately after the last movie, when they were lifted away in a helicopter by these mysterious rebels. The world is in dire straits, and these kids are important for fixing the world. And because they are so important, a lot of people want their hands on these guys.”

The trailer shows Thomas and his team escaping from the maze facility they were trapped in by W.C.K.D. The maze was a type of experiment/testing facility, which allowed the W.C.K.D. to determine who was destined for bigger things within their organization (by seeing who lasted long enough to escape the maze).

In the new trailer, audiences hear the chancellor of W.C.K.D. Ava Paige explaining, “It’s safe to say that the maze trials were a complete success…. It’s time now to begin Phase 2…”

Now that the characters have entered the Scorch, they are surrounded by a whole new landscape. The world outside had been decimated by a solar flare. For the most part, the surviving population was taken out by a plague, which is preparing to emerge once again. Director Wes Ball also recently explained the virus saying, “in the last movie we said these kids were immune to the virus, but in the second book we learn they actually are infected. So it will sort itself out in the movie. The question is who is infected and who isn’t. That’s a mystery we hold out.”

A notable addition to the cast this time around is Aidan Gillen, who is known for his role as Littlefinger on Game of Thrones. Aiden plays authority figure Janson (known as Rat-Man in the books), who is shown in the trailer teasing Thomas with the secrets of the maze and the W.C.K.D.

As Thomas and his Gladers escape the walls of the W.C.K.D. facility, they will eventually run into a new group of characters known as the Cranks. The Cranks are a clan of infected scavengers living outside of the maze. It is here that Thomas and his crew realize that there are other mazes and therefore other survivors just like him.

The trailer shows Thomas realizing that “we never escaped. This was all just part of their plan,” as they discover a new facility filled with embryonic versions of Grievers, which were creatures that killed many of their friends within the maze. They begin realizing that the W.C.K.D. was behind all of the horrors that filled the maze and they were placed there for a reason.

The trailer hypes an even bigger story with the sequel as Janson is heard saying, “Thomas, the maze is one thing…but you won’t last one day out in the Scorch.”

Although the movie is no doubt action-packed, it does have an incredible amount of similarities to The Hunger Games. Unfortunately, The Maze Runner doesn’t seem to add anything innovative to the typical young adult sci-fi genre.

Most likely, I will be waiting two more months and getting my fix with the last installment of the Hunger Games. I don’t think the Maze Runner franchise is going to be able to create the fan base it was hoping to and I am guessing the reason for its moderate success is partially because of the lead actor’s (Dylan O’brien) incredibly devoted fans.

Furthermore, while this film will deliver on action, I don’t think it will bring much else to the table.

You can catch Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials in theatres on September 18, 2015.

PARANORMAL WITNESS 404 Suzy Doll Recap

paranormal witness creepy suzy doll images 2015It’s a creepy doll on this episode of “Paranormal Witness,” and the Platt family told the story of their daughter Heather’s childhood baby doll that she carried with her everywhere. Heather’s sister Lisa said Heather was always a fun and outgoing child. Heather’s aunt gave her the favorite baby doll as a birthday present. She said that the doll looked exactly like she did. Heather named the doll the Suzy Doll.

One night in the middle of the night Heather’s mother, Linda, said she heard a noise in their house. She woke up her husband Gerry and told him something was downstairs making noise. He heard a growling sound and thought it was an animal in trouble. They looked out their bedroom window and saw a shadow coming up the road and then suddenly it was gone. One morning Heather was eating breakfast with Suzy Doll sitting on the couch behind her. Heather left the room to go get a drink and went back in the room. Suzy Doll was now sitting on a chair instead of the couch Heather had left her on.

Linda got up the next morning and went downstairs to find the kitchen had been trashed. When Gerry saw the mess in the kitchen he immediately went up to his daughters’ room and drug them out of bed. The three sisters argued about who had made the mess in the kitchen.

Later, Gerry went into their living room and saw furniture rearranged and piled on top of other furniture. Heather was sitting in a chair in front of the TV, but there was only static on the screen. After calling her name, Heather got up and faced her dad.

Heather and her sisters kept hearing the sounds of children playing, but they didn’t know where the sounds were coming from. Lisa woke up the next morning with hair on her face and eyes. She went to her mom, who found a circle where a bald spot was on the back of her head. They took her to a doctor and the doctor ran tests to see what was wrong with her.

paranormal witness suzy doll recap 2015 images toilet trainingThe family found Suzy Doll sitting on the toilet, which was Lisa’s boiling point with the doll. Linda said she thought someone was playing a joke on them. One day when Gerry was home alone and sleeping, he woke up to hear noise coming from downstairs. He went downstairs and the kitchen was trashed again. The front legs of the kitchen chairs were on the table while the back legs were suspended in the air. When he picked Linda up from work he told her about it. She told him the kids were just playing a joke on him but he insisted the kids weren’t responsible for this.

The next day Linda moved Suzy Doll from the couch to the rocking chair. Linda sat down for lunch and saw the beads in her doorway start to move and shake. She also saw marbles thrown down the steps, making her think there was an intruder in the house. She took a kitchen knife and went upstairs to investigate. She went in the girls’ room and opened their closet. A baby doll fell of the top shelf.

Linda went back downstairs and saw marbles laying on the floor in the living room. The then marbles disappeared. Gerry and Linda realized there was a supernatural in their house.

paranormal witness suzy doll gerry scratched 2015Gerry was sitting on the bed when something hit him in the side and knocked him to the floor. He looked up and saw the knobs on the bedpost which then came flying at him. He called Linda upstairs and she found him with a bleeding shoulder.

paranormal witness suzy doll possessed little girl 2015Linda and Gerry brought someone into their house to get rid of the supernatural. The family held hands around a lit candle and Linda felt like she was being touched on the ear. A strong wind blew the candles out and Heather was heard screaming from her bedroom. The supernatural was speaking through Heather and telling everyone to get out. Gerry asked if she was possessed but was told she wasn’t yet. They determined an exorcism would have to be performed. A priest performed the exorcism and less than one minute into it the rocking chair started rocking with the baby doll in it. The curtains were blowing violently even though the windows were closed. Linda then realized everything bad that happened in the house happened in a room where the baby doll was. The family was told to go outside so the Priest could complete the exorcism. They prayed that they would be protected. From outside Linda realized the exorcism didn’t work so the baby doll would have to be removed from their house. She threw the doll away even though she made Heather cry by getting rid of it. When Linda saw the garbage taken away she knew the baby doll was officially gone. Heather said she never owned another baby doll again after that. Linda said she often wondered where the baby doll is now.

2016 Republican Presidential Debate Winners & Losers

0

republican 2016 presidential debate winners losers 2015As a country, we are faced with one of the most important decision to make within the next 16 months- who will be the next president of the United States.

In the second republican presidential debate we saw a lot of things. We saw Carly Fiorina really stand her ground and showcase her knowledge on foreign affairs. We saw Mike Huckabee showcase a very seasoned debate style that, despite some of his views, came off pretty competent and we saw further proof that Trump is nothing more than a petty charlatan. But the greatest thing we saw were some emerging candidates who, for what it’s worth, understand that these debates are not about making Trump look like a fool (he doesn’t need any help with that) but about presenting information on issues for the American people to cast their votes.

Jake Tapper moderated the debate and hit the hopefuls with some hard questions about foreign relations, current policies and each other. Their answers to the questions were telling to their understanding of the issues and to their mindset on what they plan to do if elected. Considering all that was said at the debate, here are my take aways about certain candidates.

Jeb Bush– He really needs to show more backbone. Yes he is a part of a political family and knows a lot about politics and policy on the national level I am sure, but allowing Trump to shut him up and talk over him and not really demand respect or protest or anything doesn’t communication authority well.

Carly Fiorina– She had some very strong moments and not only was able to express herself intelligently; she actually knew what she was talking about. In this presidential election it is important for candidates to give evidence that they have an understanding of what the stakes are when it comes to not only issues at home but abroad and she did.

Donald Trump -Speaking of coming off as knowing what they are talking about, he doesn’t. I am not sure how much longer he can go off of saying that he is a businessman therefore he can make America great again. Or that he will talk things out with leaders like Putin and others who we don’t have the greatest of relationships with as a way to encourage better relations. He steadily gives no real support for why he is a competent choice and his petty jabs at other opponents on the stage, his total disregard for the political process and his lack of knowledge that he clearly shows every single time he opens his mouth about pertinent political concerns will cost him any real chance he has at getting the republican nomination.

Ben Carson- While his reasons for running may be commendable he is a boring speaker. Carson doesn’t really catch your attention nor holds it for that matter and after having a president like Obama, you have to be able to engage people on that kind of level.

Scott Walker- I mention him for no other reason than he calls Ronald Reagan the greatest president of his lifetime. The very fact that he says this relates to me that he is either in denial about the things that Reagan did that negatively and majorly affect the black community (among other things) or he doesn’t care. I do commend him for confidently coming for Donald Trump who is the bully of the republican candidates.

Chris Christie- If you ask me, he has the right amount of charisma and knowledge out of all the candidates (well he and Rand Paul). This can give him a hand up over other candidates that may be more knowledgeable but don’t have as much charm because he can make up for what he doesn’t know by how he says what he does know.

Mike Huckabee– He speaks with a lot of passion and a confidence which is somewhat intriguing. He has been around the political debate block a lot so he has the delivery down pat.

Ted Cruz- I honestly don’t even know why this guy is even running. He comes off pompous and the very fact that he is willing to shut down the government over his desire to defund Planned Parenthood brings into question his priorities. PP is not worth stopping the government and I am appalled that he feels okay with doing that.

Rand Paul- He is pretty. He knows what he’s talking about and calls Trump out on his bull crap. He had some strong points and relays them well. I think he had a solid debate performance. He said a lot of things that the others on the panel don’t agree with.

John Kasich- He has an unapologetic way of expressing his views and it helps that his support as to why he feels the way that he does is communicated along with his dissention.

There is still a long way to go for this ticket and only time will really tell as the true agenda of these hopefuls are revealed. My only and greatest hope is that the American people will do their research and not go with the flow but with what’s best for them and this country.

Rihanna Says No Thank You Taylor Swift & Kris Jenner Talks Kylie’s Lips

rihanna says no thank you to taylor swift onstage 2015 gossipAlthough super star Taylor Swift has had a slew of celebrities join her on stage during her 1989 tour, it doesn’t look like Rihanna is ever going to be one of them.

Rihanna is featured on the cover and in an interview in the latest issue of UK magazine, NME. When asked if she would ever consider joining Taylor Swift on stage, Riri explained, “I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it make sense. I don’t think our brands are the same: I don’t think they match; I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m not.”

Rihanna then went on to hype her upcoming album R8 saying, “To me [an album] is never done until it’s done. Until the final moment…I have so many songs I love – and they’re so different – that it’s hard to actually put them all on the same album.”

Although she hasn’t revealed all too much about her new album she did tease her upcoming collaboration with Kanye in the interview, explaining, “We just have to wait to get back in the studio together. His schedule and mine are totally opposite right now, but I think this month we’ll be back in the studio.”

She goes on to talk about her fans getting impatient claiming, “No matter what I post online, within three comments there’s somebody saying, ‘Where is R8?’ But it makes me excited, because I can’t wait to give them something great.”

kris jenner not happy wiht kylie jenner lips 2015 gossipAlthough Kris Jenner thinks Kylie is a very “mature” 18-year-old, it doesn’t mean she initially approved of her daughter’s decision to get lip injections.

On Wednesday, the famous momager revealed that she was hesitant about letting Kylie go through with the treatment, explaining, “I get a little crazy – and I think that is what no one sees – and I do have definite thoughts and ideas or [ideas on] what she should do, you know, at a really young age. I am from the generation that in my day, I mean some of this stuff did not exist for sure, but I don’t think I did one thing physically to myself until I was in my 50s. So I am thinking. ‘Why? Why? Why do you need to do that?”

She went on saying she got “really upset,” but then Kylie went through with it and she decided to “let it go.”

Interestingly enough, Kris then says, “once [Kylie’s lip treatment] was done, it’s just my kid. I love my kid. We make mistakes.” I don’t think Kylie would appreciate her mother referring to her lips as a “mistake,” but at the same time it is making Kylie millions so she probably doesn’t even care at this point.

Kylie will soon be releasing a lip kit, that allows fans to achieve – or at least attempt to achieve, the big lips that Kylie has become famous.

Kylie explained her newest venture saying, “I just put in my order for how many of [my kits] I want them to produce from my manufacturer. I was struggling with the number to ask them to make because I was like, ‘Do I want to make this much?’ No, because nobody is going to buy it. I didn’t want to order that much. But then my mom was like, “Kylie, people are going to want your lip kit.’ I guess sometimes that’s all I need to not get nervous.”

Doesn’t seem like Kris sees her daughters lip empire as too much of a mistake, considering she gets a cut off the top of Kylie’s revenue stream!

Chelsea vs Arsenal Soccer Preview 2015

0

chelsea vs arsenal preview soccer 2015 imagesIn one of the biggest matches this weekend, Chelsea will play host to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. In the recent past this has been an incredibly easy fixture to predict as Arsenal have been comprehensively dealt with by the Blues – in fact Jose Mourinho’s side have consistently got positive results at the Emirates Stadium as well.

But there is a sense of uncertainty about this clash as Chelsea have endured a torrid start to their Premier League campaign.

The Blues cantered to the Premier League title last season as most of their challengers – Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool – fell to the wayside that allowed the west London outfit to collect their first league title in five seasons.

The Pensioners were widely expected to enjoy a similar run in the current campaign, but they have found the going tough. They began their Premier League defence with a draw against Garry Monk’s Swansea City and have since lost to Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Everton that has ensured just four points from their first five games of the season; as a consequence, they are sitting 17th in the league standings, just above the relegation zone.

More worryingly for them, they have far too many problems plaguing them to allow them a quick solution ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Stamford Bridge this weekend. It is hard to think of a time when Chelsea have looked so vulnerable.

Arsenal, too, started their campaign with an unexpected 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium, but since then they have recovered to register three wins – over Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Stoke City to climb to fourth in the table.

Arsene Wenger held the dubious record of never having beaten a side led by Jose Mourinho – who, characteristically, labelled the Frenchman a specialist in failure last season. But Wenger finally broke the duck against the Portuguese as he led his side to a 1-0 win over the Blues in the Community Shield match at Wembley at the start of the season.

They will surely be buoyed by the positive result from the early season and with the kind of torrid form exhibited by Chelsea, the Gunners will fancy their chances of taking all three points from their trip to west London.

However, it is fraught with danger to count a Mourinho team out no matter what sort of form they are in.

The Portuguese schemer is capable of pulling tricks that leave most opposition managers befuddled and his superior record over Wenger goes to show that he has had an upper hand over the Frenchman when it comes to devising match winning tactics.

Arsenal’s penchant for playing attacking football which generally leaves open spaces in midfield could play in the hands of Mourinho’s side, who will be keen to exploit the vulnerabilities of their opponents by deploying the likes of Willian, Pedro Rodriguez, Eden Hazard and Diego Costa to make full use of the spaces left by Arsenal.

Rising Fantasy Football Stars Heading into Week 2

0

rising fantasy football stars week 2 tyler eifertDon’t forget to set up fantasy football lineups for Week Two. Go do that right now…okay, well read the rest of this first. I’ll remind you again at the end.

Now, when you’re setting those starters, here’s a few guys to remember to put in. I feel back for you if they were riding your bench this past weekend:

DeAndre Hopkins: Hopkins was available pretty late in most every draft, being considered no more than a FLEX to most people heading into the season. Well, Hopkins sure proved everyone wrong. With nine receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns, it looked like Calvin Johnson suited up for the Houston Texans instead of Detroit this weekend.

Carlos Hyde: Frank Gore had a great run in San Francisco, but if Hyde keeps doing what he’s doing, fans there probably won’t remember him by Week 5. Hyde was easily the top running back of the week, especially considering his average draft position. With 168 yards and two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings Monday, Hyde is a must-play this week if you made the mistake of sitting him this past one.

Tyler Eifert: I don’t want to gawk over Eifert too much yet. He hasn’t had consistently great performances by any means over his career, and he still has Andy Dalton as a quarterback. At the same time, stats are stats, and 104 yards and two touchdowns makes him the best tight end not named Gronk (or Travis Kelce). Even though he were playing the Oakland Raiders, Eifert could easily end up as one of the top five tight ends of the season.

Now that teams see him as more of a legitimate threat, it’ll be interesting to see how the Chargers play him this weekend. If Dalton can still throw his way 12 times a game moving forward, Eifert will be a scary matchup on the field and in fantasy.

Now go set those lineups!
