Eagles Fans Want Chip Kelly Fired After Jameis Winston

Eagles Fans want chip kelly fired 2015 nfl imagesOutraged Philadelphia Eagles Fans Call for Chip Kelly’s Job After Being Embarrassed by Jameis Winston & Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No one said the NFL would be easy, and he knew that the Philadelphia Eagles have a historically difficult fan base to please, but Chip Kelly still took the job. After the insane roster moves he made this offseason, the seat warmers just cranked all the way up. Now, after the Eagles latest embarrassment, this one at the hands of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and rookie quarterback Jameis Winston, fans are calling for relief at the coaching position.

“The year’s Eagles team has sucked the joy out of football for me. No heart. Embarrassing in every aspect of the game,” tweeted @Merv_215.

That was about as nice as it got from Eagles’ fans on Twitter after the 45-17 loss in which the defense gave up five passing touchdowns to Winston.

“Chipped tooth > Chip Kelly,” said @WHITEMIKEOZ.

“I wish I could be in a room with Chip Kelly. So I could let my frustration out in the form of fists to face #FIRECHIPKELLY,” said @_Josh_Weaver.

Tough crowd. Let’s be sure to keep Josh away from Chip.

It was just a rough day all around for the Eagles. Everyone was mad at everyone. The fans were mad at Kelly, safety Malcolm Jenkins was caught screaming at his defensive teammates after a stupid 12-man penalty kept a Bucs scoring drive alive, and even Mark Sanchez and Darren Sproles were caught getting into it on the sideline after a pick-six.

“A game like this will shake your confidence,” said defensive coordinator Bill Davis, whose seat has been getting a lot warmer as well. “We have to make sure it doesn’t destroy us.”

That’s easier said than done. The Eagles failed, once again, to catch up to the New York Giants in the division race, and are now sitting at 4-6, barely ahead of the 3-7 Dallas Cowboys who lost seven straight before a win over the Miami Dolphins Sunday.

“I apologize for how we played football today,” said linebacker Connor Barwin after the game. “They deserve better. We have to play better and get it fixed before Thursday. These fans deserve to see better football.”

Your coach could use some better play if you want to keep him around for a while. Then again, it’s not the fans’ fault that you all suck this season.

‘Empire’ Could Learn From ‘How to Get Away with Murder’s’ What Did We Do?

how to get away with murder 209 what did we 2015 images“How to Get Away with Murder” may get over the top, but it knows how to let a story breathe a little and then pack us with a punch, unlike Lee Daniel‘s “Empire,” which feels the need to pummel us over the head with action and silly storylines. Last season, “Empire” had a great storyline that moved quickly, but it still gave us time to catch our breath. The ratings were crazy high for it with good reason. This season, it feels like it’s trying way too hard to live up to those ratings while forgetting what it’s really all about. It’s an updated “Dynasty” with a little pinch of “Glee” thrown into the mix.

I truly hope that “Empire” can pull it together, but thank goodness we’ve got “How to Get Away with Murder” even though it’s off the air for a few months. Now off the amazing mid-season finale that kept me on the edge of my seat and ended with my mouth wide open.

I literally don’t know where to start with this winter finale of “How to Get Away with Murder.” A lot of questions are answered but yet still a lot of new questions arise. Here I go.

Bonnie is back this week because as foretold she has a big part to play in what happens to ADA Sinclair. And her return serves as the catalyst for what happens to the ADA as Bonnie delivers the blow that Asher’s dad hanged himself because everything that came out about him Asher’s mom blames him, Asher blames Annalise, Annalise’s camp points the finger to Sinclair, and thus a plot for revenge is born… kinda.

Asher “ambushes” Sinclair in a parking garage late at night after she gets Nate fired. Yea, she goes into his station and accuses him of changing Philip’s record, which we know he did, and, of course, he denies it. But that’s not what got him fired. She pushes Nate to the edge by mentioning his wife, and he pretty much threatens her in front of the whole prescient. She files a harassment suit; he gets fired but not before he counters with a discrimination lawsuit. She then meets with him in said parking lot and offers to drop her suit (because she’s a lot of things, but “not a racist”) if he helps her bring Annie down. Now back to Asher.

He confronts her about his dad as she heads back to her car and this bitch tells him that the whole world is better off with his dad dead because, “He wasn’t a good man.” This infuriates Asher, and as she walks to her car in the opposite direction (she got turned around) he puts his car in reverse and hits her, hard! He calls Bonnie, who is calm and collected. She knows what to do. Call Annalise.

Speaking of Annalise, she is dealing with a firestorm back at the house. Michaela, who slept with Caleb, who showed her the gun he found in Catherine’s room, calls Connor, and he tells her to call Annalise. She doesn’t want to because of course she wants to protect Caleb, who wants to protect his sister. They end up taking the gun to Annie’s house, which pisses her off because a) they moved the murder weapon and b) this means she has to drop Catherine as a client because clearly she and Philip are working together. Caleb protests but Annie says it has to be done, but her plan is much, much darker than just leaving Catherine to fend for herself in court. She plans to blame ADA Sinclair’s death on her too because she owes it to Asher since she is kind of the reason an investigation was opened up into his dad in the first place.

This is where it gets deep, dangerous (as if it wasn’t already) and desperate. Before this is when Annie gets two phone calls. One from Nate who tells her about the deal the ADA offered him and the other from Bonnie about the trick being dead. It sends her reeling for a moment, and that’s when she comes up with the idea to blame it all on Catherine. She tells Bonnie to bring the body to the Hapstall’s house where everything goes down.

The crew goes there, and they don’t know the sinister plan until it is too late and they have to go along with it. Annie moves quickly and tells Caleb (who has no idea what’s going on) to go to Michaela’s apartment. From there, things get super interesting.

With Caleb gone Annalise puts her plan it motion. Bonnie shows up with the body and Annie slips away so that they can put it in place (on top of the roof), but they are caught by the Keating Five who want nothing to do with it. Connor, in particular, has reached his tipping point and vehemently protests. Here we see Annalise lose her cool, something that we haven’t seen in the show’s two seasons. She tells them they have to help because their killing Sam is the reason they are in the mess in the first place. According to her, they have to help cover this up for Asher because he didn’t know she’s been covering up for them this whole time. Yes, Asher finally knows what really happened.

The reluctantly do what she says with Connor and Michaela helping Bonnie take Sinclair’s body up to the roof, but they bail as they refuse to push her body off the ledge. Meanwhile, Laurel and West argue over what to do with the gun when all of a sudden BAM! Sinclair’s body hits the ground. And then there is the climax.

Annie covers her bases by calling Catherine and Sinclair to tell them to come to the house. Then she turns to the interns to shoot her because, surprise, it has to be believable and to do that, they need to make it like Catherine shot her. But none of them will do it. Well, Connor is about to after Annie threatens to ruin Ollie’s life but Michaela jumps in front of her teacher and Connor tells Annalise, “I hate you.” He runs out, and Michaela follows suit. That leaves Laurel and West to do the do and, yep you guessed it, West pulls the trigger after Annalise tells him that Rebecca is dead and has been dead the entire time. Only, he doesn’t shoot her in the leg as she told him to. He shoots her in the stomach. Then he stands over her, points the gun and is about to pull the trigger again when Annie whispers, “Christoph, Christoph,” stopping him in his tracks. Then there is a flashback.

Ten Years Earlier…

A young Wes sits with a woman detective who questions him about his mother death. As he tells her he saw, we see an equally young Annalise AND Eve standing behind a one-way mirror and Eve asks her, “What have we done?”

Lort! What happened? What DID they do? I am all kinds of mixed up right now. And we have to wait like two months to see what happens.

‘Shark Tank’ 709 Bubble Soccer Tabs

shark tank 709 bubble soccer 2015 imagesTonight, business moguls Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner were presented with a series of business pitches in ABC’s Shark Tank. Each pitch featured entrepreneurs who were hoping to start, grow or save their up-and-coming businesses. The entrepreneurs offer a certain percentage of their ventures for a given monetary amount. The sharks are able to negotiate the equity percentage, but must be willing to give the monetary amount that they were presented with, in order to strike a deal.

So here is a recap of tonight’s pitches:

The National Association of Bubble Soccer

Asking: $160,000 for 10%

The first pitch of the night is by John Anthony Radosta, who is hoping to share the latest craze in sports all over the world: Bubble Soccer. Bubble Soccer is a “sport” where players are encased in giant blown up bubbles and essentially play soccer while bouncing around.

The Sharks were completely entertained by the demonstration and a few even give the game a shot. Afterwards, John explains that there are two markets: the players who just want to play once for the novelty and the players who are interested in joining the ever-growing league. Currently, his company has received over $355,000 in revenue and is on track to do $430,000 this year.

Unfortunately, the sharks have a hard time taking the pitch seriously. All of the sharks are unable to see how John is going to make a scalable business and are confused by his current business model. Thus, all 5 of the Sharks drop out and John leaves without a deal.

Brazi Bites

Asking: $200,000 for 10%

Brazil-native Junea Rocha and her husband Cameron MacMullin created a business around the Brazilian delicacy, cheesy bread. Brazi Bites is cheese bread that is gluten free, which is stored in the freezer and baked in the oven before consumption.

Currently, the product is carried in over 700 grocery stores, including Whole Foods. They have been growing stably for the past three years, and are on track to earn $1 million this year.

Daymond is the first shark to show interest, as he explains his success with a boneless-ribs business he invested in through Shark Tank. He offers them $200,000 for 25%. Afterwards, Lori offers them $200,000 for 25% as well.

Kevin “has some fun” with the other sharks and offers them $200,000 for 15%.

Unfortunately, the owners reveal that they are currently $200,000 in debt and only own 50% of the company. Thus, Robert and Mark drop out of the deal.

Kevin decides to offer for 12.5%. Meanwhile, Lori decides to revise her offer to 20% but is quickly matched by Daymond. Lori then proceeds to go to 18%. The owners try and get Lori to agree to 15%.

However, in the end they make a deal with Lori at $200,000 for 16.5%.

Umano

Asking: $150,000 for 15%

Umano is a clothing company created by brothers Jonathan and Alex Torrey. The business creates adult clothing that has children’s artwork on it. For every shirt purchased, Umano donates a backpack or school supplies to a child in need. The brothers are hoping to connect their customer with “up and coming artists,” aka kids.

Currently, they partner with schools overseas and in Athens, Georgia. They were able to get their products into Bloomingdales based on the social efforts behind the brand. In the long run, the brothers want to expand into a lifestyle brand that includes leggings, dresses, etc.

Kevin expresses that he feels the company is based on child labor. However, Jonathan and Alex explain that their company is determined to focus on being an ethical, social enterprise, even as they continue to expand. Kevin calls the company “embryonic” and drops out. Robert tells them they are in a tough business and drops out as well.

Lori is impressed by their “scrappiness” and offers them $150,000 for 25%. Based on his experience in the clothing industry, Daymond offers the entrepreneurs $150,000 for 33.3%. Mark tells them they need help with financing their inventory and with their online store. He ends up offering them $150,000 for 20%. Mark invites Lori into his deal.

In the end, Jonathan and Alex close a deal with Mark and Lori at $150,000 for 20%.

Sock Tabs

Asking: $50,000 for 20%

The last pitch of the night is from Glen and Tracie Burress of Sock Tabs. Sock Tabs is a business that is looking to be the solution to missing socks. The product clamps your socks together, so they have no way of escaping or “being taken by the sock monster” when going through the washer and dryer.

After an amusing pitch that included sock puppets, Glen and Tracie hand out Sock Tabs to the sharks. They are little devices that are worn throughout the day so that they are ready for use when you throw your socks into the laundry hamper.

In 6 months, the entrepreneurs have sold a little over $20,000. Currently, 60% of their sales are through their online site, and the rest is from the limited stores that carry their product.

Unfortunately, Lori explains that she can think of several products that are direct competitors to the Sock Tab. Therefore, she drops out. Robert also drops out, as he doesn’t feel any connection with the product.

Daymond tells Glen and Tracie that he can’t invest in the company, as he is part of a sock company that makes money off of people losing socks.

Mark tells the entrepreneurs that he can’t match their enthusiasm about the product, so he also drops out of the deal. Shortly after, Kevin advises Glen and Tracey that they shouldn’t jeopardize their full time jobs and also drops out.

However, just as Glen and Tracie begin walking out of the tank, Daymond announces he is back in at $50,000 for 30%.

Thus, Sock Tabs walks out with a deal with Daymond John.

Next Week:

Unfortunately, next week is a rerun of Shark Tank, but the show will be back with a new episode on December 4th.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ 909 Platonic Permutation Recap

big bang theory 909 platonic 2015 imagesOn this week’s episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” Sheldon said he had an extra ticket to a Thanksgiving buffet at the local aquarium and invited one of them to claim it. Penny and Leonard said they were cooking at home, and Howard and Bernadette were going to work at a soup kitchen.

Then he had a video chat with Amy to offer her the aquarium tickets. He told Amy to take one and give the other one to the guest of her choice, and Amy said she and Sheldon could go as friends. Emily and Raj went with Howard and Bernadette to the soup kitchen. They were turned away because no more volunteers were needed. Then the man running the soup kitchen changed his mind and let them volunteer.

Penny and Leonard prepared Thanksgiving dinner. Leonard asked Penny to log into his laptop with his birth date, but she didn’t know it. He said he wasn’t going to let her forget his birth date again. Leonard told Penny all of the things he knows about her. He slipped and got caught having read Penny’s journal to learn more about her. Leonard said reading Penny’s journal was an accident, and he only read it because he is a bookworm. He offered to let her read his online journal. Penny made Leonard read the most recent thing he had written about her.

Amy and Sheldon drove to the aquarium and discussed the topics they could safely talk about. After discussing the weather Amy told Sheldon they could have a conversation without establishing a list of safe topics. Sheldon said he knew Amy had been dating other men. Amy said she had been on six dates with three men for coffee or dinner but that she hadn’t slept with any of them. Amy asked Sheldon how he was doing since their breakup and said she wanted him to be happy.

Emily, Raj, Howard and Bernadette were asked to wash dishes at the soup kitchen. Raj said he read on the Internet that washing dishes could be a form of meditation. Then three people were needed to serve food and Raj, Bernadette and Emily ran to do it. While washing dishes, Howard met a volunteer named Elon Musk, whom Howard was a fan of. Elon asked him if he was ever going back into space. Eli said his company was always looking for engineers so he would stay in touch with Howard.

At the aquarium, Sheldon said the buffet was really bad. Sheldon asked Amy to place an ocean-themed game with him. While they were playing the game Amy admitted to missing being around Sheldon.

Leonard put on lingerie of Penny’s and told her to take a shaming photo of him and put it on Facebook, but she said she didn’t want to. Then everyone else walked into the apartment and saw Leonard in the lingerie. Leonard said he was glad Sheldon had fun with Amy. Sheldon then got a call from Amy, and she said she wanted to be Sheldon’s girlfriend again. Sheldon said he thought he just needed to be Amy’s friend.

ISIS vs. Anonymous: Who’s the Idiot?

Anonymous Continues War with Isis

What happens when an unstoppable force encounters an immovable object? They trade banter. When the dreaded hacktivist group Anonymous openly declared war on ISIS (Islamic State) in the wake of the horrible terrorist attacks on Paris, the ever-defiant terrorist group called Anonymous a bunch of idiots, implying that they cannot be stopped by a bunch of computer-savvy individuals.

‘What they gonna hack…all they can do is hacking Twitter accounts, emails, etc… Do not make your email same as your username on twitter this mistake cost many ansar [users sympathetic to ISIS] their accounts and the kuffar [non-Muslims] published their IP, so be careful.’

— ISIS Cyber Army

The term idiot is one of many that refers to persons that are intellectually disabled but in modern use simply refers to stupidity. Both groups consider the other as a bunch of idiots, despite their activities requiring high levels of intelligence. Both groups have so far managed to keep themselves hidden from authorities, only exposing themselves when announcing and/or performing their activities. That requires a lot of technical skill and cleverness. ISIS is known to be keeping under the radar and uses the internet to recruit new members, convincing known decent individuals to become sadistic religious zealots. Anonymous is an ideological hacking group that uses their high-level hacking skills to disrupt governments, businesses, groups and individuals that do activities or dictate policies that are contrary to the well-being of the general population. Both groups have proven themselves capable of carrying out their threats. Being intelligent and capable, both groups can hardly be called idiots. The difference between these groups is that ISIS members don’t always live to fight another day.

But the term idiot also technically includes people who act in self-defeating and counterproductive ways. Individual members of ISIS, who blow themselves up, can hardly be called productive and self-defeating for them, would be an understatement. Anonymous, as with most vigilante groups, acting outside proper channels can also be considered counterproductive. Instead of stating their grievances to the authorities or assisting them or suing the pants off those who aggrieve the people, they use hacking to punish public or private entities and/or expose them by illegally hacking into their systems. But that’s how it is with vigilantism, if the law is too slow, can’t or won’t do something, we will. In both groups’ point of view, however, they’re producing results.

Anonymous has tracked down over 5,500 Twitter accounts and shut them down and has also produced several names of suspected ISIS members and supporters. Like they said:

‘You should know that we will find you, and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you. Expect massive cyber-attacks. War is declared. Get prepared.’

It means that Anonymous is just getting started. But like China, ISIS responded with rhetoric that Anonymous is just wasting their time but unlike China, the rhetoric includes tips on how to deal with the problem and avoid the hacktivist group:

  • Do not open any kind of links unless you’re sure of the source
  • Use VPN and change your IP constantly for security reasons
  • Do not talk to people you don’t know on telegram and block them if you have to ‘cause there are many glitches in telegram, and they can hack you by it
  • Don’t talk to people on Twitter DM because they can hack it too
  • Do not make your #email the same as your #username on Twitter. This mistake cost many Ansar their accounts and the kuffar published their IP so be careful. May Allah protect you and all Ansar of the Islamic State from those dirty kuffar

The problem here is they gave the dirty kuffar what to look for if Anonymous didn’t know already. Both Anonymous and other government agencies basically know these tricks. But there are those in the Ansar who slip and those potential Ansar, who have to be confronted first on regular channels to convince them to join the cause, therefore still traceable if one knows what to look for. The NSA can now do their real jobs and monitor everyone on Telegram. So who’s the idiot now? But for regular people, these tricks are also handy in keeping their lives private from Big Brother, Thanks ISIS.

But the thing is, killing innocents for the sake of religion is hardly the act of an intelligent person, a sane one for that matter. That holds true at least in the modern world and modern society. In modern standards, killing a bunch of innocent people in a concert, in a restaurant, in a school, killing innocents, not of the same religion is what’s idiotic.

It’s difficult to argue with religion, though, as for thousands of years, all religions, demanded the blood of both followers and enemies alike, until collective knowledge and reason minimized the blood flow. Unfortunately for us, that type of religion seems to be coming back, and it’s up to a bunch of “idiots” to keep this from happening and expose the real idiots to the authorities.

‘The Walking Dead’ 607 Glen Lives & Walls Tumble As We Told You

the walking dead 607 heads up glenn lives 2015 imagesThe Walking Dead: Season 6 Episode 7 Heads Up

If we learned anything from this week’s “The Walking Dead,” it’s not to try repelling for the first time if you must do it over the Undead. Also, if Carol wants you to babysit, just do it without delay. If she’s asking then, someone needs killing. The other thing you readers learned is that we do know what we’re talking about too when it comes to “The Walking Dead.” You all doubted us when we reported a month ago that Glenn was still alive (we even put in our headline!), and we even laid out the exact scenario that happened. So for all those that tried to trash us, we forgive you. Plus, we’re living up to winning all those awards this year, including Best Pop Culture website!

The main lesson from “Heads Up” was how to dumpster slide. Glenn is indeed alive and well after slipping under the nasty dumpster after his boy Nicholas was ripped apart. The survival of Glenn was handled well. It’s not implausible that Glenn could have survived under the dumpster after killing a few of the Walkers which built up a barrier between him and the rest of the starving zombie dumpster divers.

walking dead 607 spencer zombie rapell 2015 imagesGlad that Glenn is back, but if he were dead, I would be fine with it. I’m not a fanatic about main characters never dying. The good thing is that the writers gave the viewers a real sense of what the characters feel once someone walks out those doors of Alexandria. They don’t know if they’ll ever see them again, and this was a great way to let fans feel that sense of anxiety, although we didn’t.

Enid shows back up to offer Glenn some water, but she doesn’t want to be attached to anyone. Glenn spent a lot of time and effort getting her to come back to Alexandria with him.

Back in Alexandria it’s time for a sit down between Rick and Morgan. Rick’s just a little miffed at the fact that he was attacked by some Wolves that could have been dealt with beforehand by Morgan. Carol ratted Morgan out to Rick about the Zen Practitioner letting some Wolves walk away.

Glenn runs up on the poor bastard that ended up dead at the fence gate a couple episodes back. He sees the note for the guy’s wife which gives Glenn some more motivation to make it back to his own wife.

Rick begins teaching Ron how to use a gun as Carl chimes in with advice as well. I can see this training going really badly for the Grimes family. I can also see Rick removing the firing pin in the bulletless weapon just in case Ron gets any ideas about securing some bullets on his own, which is just what happened.

By the way, prayer meeting has been canceled by Rick Grimes this week.

While I don’t want to spend too much time on Morgan’s philosophy versus Rick’s, Morgan had a point about how all the people at the table had changed. Michonne, Carol, Rick, and Morgan himself have truly evolved so he thinks he can rehabilitate even the worst of the humans like the Wolves.

Carol reminded Morgan that the Wolves “burned people alive.” That’s where his philosophy takes a hit. It’s admirable that he is willing to die in order to keep to his code. The problem lies in the fact that he’s willing to let other innocent people suffer if that’s what it takes for his code to stay intact.

Rick still can’t trust the Alexandrians to help much when needed, but Michonne sees it differently. Rosita is even going “Last Samurai” with a group of Townies to help them prep for more Zombie run ins. She gave Eugene a proper dressing down, and it would be better for all if she would have just lopped his block-head off right then and there.

I’m not sure what to make of Enid. She seems to be this Emo type that has given up on the world. Is she just going to roam by herself forever? That can’t last long. She’s shown to be pretty clever, yet she’s no match for roaming packs of zombies and the occasional evil humans.

Glenn would have been wise just to leave her behind once she pulled a gun on him. That scene gave me a brilliant idea for the show which would have melted the internet down with horrified Walking Dead fans going insane. I thought how cool (and cruel) it would have been if Enid just capped Glenn right then and there. Boom! Glenn survives under the dumpster for days while fans weren’t sure if he was really alive, and then 20 minutes after he reappears, he gets treated like Omar Little buying a pack of Newports before he is unceremoniously killed off.

We see Rick get help from a Townie as they secure the wall and discuss the blood oozing into the walls. The Alexandrians are more willing to help now. They simply lack the experience to be of much help with the fighting.

Maybe the line of the night belonged to Enid. “What’s the point. The world is trying to die. We should let it.” She’s pretty depressing to listen to actually. The world has always been dying, yet we all get up each day to start fresh even though there is no getting out of this thing alive in the end. She’s missing that point. Death is a constant in her world, but it’s always been there. It’s just more brutal and frequent in her current Walker world.

I don’t know what prompted Spencer to try his stupid cable stunt. Well, he was probably just drunk. Rick and Tara had to save him once it went bad. Stupid idea that would never have worked anyway. He should have come to Rick with the plan, even though it would have been shot down as he said. For good reason….it was dumb.

Morgan now needs antibiotics for his prisoner. The doctor is willing to help, and they head off to see the evil patient. Carol is smart as hell and is watching Morgan. She needs to drop off Judith at a sitter so she can handle her business. I can see her snatching the life right out of the prisoner and maybe even Morgan. Carol doesn’t suffer fools.

We see Ron stalking Carl and are left to wonder what happens next week with these two. I hope Rick was smart enough to take the firing pin out of that gat. The confrontation may go down just like Carl described to Ron when they were training him on what it would be like when face to face with a man with a gun.

BTW, is Tara pregnant too? If not she needs to get active.

Just as Maggie finds hope seeing the green balloons from Glenn, hope evaporates quickly. As usual, Rick’s group can’t have a proper home for long before the riff-raff moves in and takes down property values.

It happened again as the tall tower hit by the big rig toppled over, crushing a big section of wall. Zombies are pouring in just like at the prison and at Hershel’s farm. This homestead is over, and the only remaining part of it will be Deanna’s plans for the future that Michonne has in hand.

The attack by the Wolves took time but led to the walls falling in Alexandria.

All this will be dealt with next week in the mid season finale. There’s no way to fix the wall collapse before all the Walkers roll in that I can imagine. Daryl and company are headed back that way with a gas truck so who knows.

I’m not tired of the setting of Alexandria at all. I wish they could maintain it for a while longer. It’s going to be hard to start another place like that from scratch. But try they will. These survivors haven’t given up on the world.

‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ 1102 Price You Pay Scott Disick

“The Price You Pay” episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was all about Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s struggle to develop a new normal amid their split. While it is Kylie and Tyga’s rumored split that has been all over the headlines for the past few days, the show is still a few months behind and is just covering the nitty-gritty of Kourtney and Scott’s sudden breakup that happened over the summer.

At the beginning of the episode, Kim tells – not asks – her mother that she, Kanye and their daughter North are moving into her house for five months. This, just after Kim tried to persuade sister Kylie Jenner into housing her family, in which Kylie bluntly responded, “Nobody is staying at my house.” Nonetheless, Kris isn’t able to be so stern with Kim and agrees to let them temporarily move back in.

Meanwhile, Khloe jets off to Australia to promote the launch of “Kardashian Kids” clothing line. Unfortunately, Kim was not able to join her due to her pregnancy and Kourtney felt she should stay home with her kids, especially with all of the drama happening with their father. Khloe admits she often picks up where her other two sisters slack when it comes to their clothing lines. Later in the episode, Khloe states, “I’m doing a kids promotional tour, and I don’t have kids.”

While Khloe is in Australia, she receives a text from Scott, whom which she hasn’t interacted with in over a month. However, Khloe doesn’t feel comfortable responding to him until she finds out what Kourtney wants her to say, or not say.

Back in California, Kim and Kris discuss Kourtney’s relationship troubles. Being the mother, Kris expresses that she feels bad for Scott and is worried about his overall well being, as the breakup has hit him hard. However, Kim isn’t so compassionate as she exclaims, “He was the one who f**ked up.” Afterwards Kim tells Kris, “I wish you would move on from [Scott]. I’m over him.”

After, Kris, Kim and Kourtney meet up at a grocery store to do some shopping. While there, Kris tells Kourtney she has plans to meet with Scott and have lunch. Kourtney informs her that he has been MIA for the past few days. Nonetheless, Kris asks for her “blessing,” which Kourtney gives, but insists they have lunch in private (i.e. at Kris’ house).

When Khloe returns from her business trip to Australia, she decides she wants to confront her sisters and tell them she is not okay with all the work she has had to pick up for them. Khloe tells Kim and Kourtney that she needs help when it comes to promoting their clothing lines, as it has been getting too stressful and has begun affecting her personal life. Ultimately, Kim and Kourtney agree with Khloe and claim that they will be more involved and supportive from here on out. However, Khloe couldn’t escape without a bit of wisdom from Kourtney, who tells her that she has to get over the guilt she puts on herself when she says no to people.

Later in the episode, Kris invites Scott over for their lunch and tries to sort through some of the issues. During their meet-up, Scott tells Kris that Kourtney has been making things extra tough on him, as she keeps changing her mind on what is acceptable. Scott goes on to say that they initially had “an open-door policy” when they split, where Scott could go to Kourtney’s house and visit the kids whenever. However, she has suddenly decided to be strict when it comes to letting Scott visit.

Kris tells Scott that she feels she is “missing a part of the story.” She takes on the role of mediator and calls up Kourtney while Scott is with her. Kourtney explains that she changed the “open-door policy” because Scott’s partying was getting more and more extreme. Kourtney goes on to say, “He was flaking too often. Every time I’ve tried to have him sit and have dinner with [the children], he sits in the other room on his phone. He flakes on going to the kids’ first day of school.“ On speakerphone, Kourtney addresses Scott directly and says that the kids need consistency, and that is the complete opposite of what he is giving them. Kris convinces Kourtney to let Scott drop by in the night and tuck his kids into bed. However, Scott seems outraged when Kourtney tells him he has to stay longer than 30 minutes and refrain from going out partying instead of staying with them for an extended period of time.

After Kris hangs up the phone, she asks Scott if he is certain he is going to go and tuck his kids into bed. Suddenly, Scott announces to her that he is going to Florida in “a couple of hours.” Frustrated, Kris tells him he needs to value every moment he gets with his kids and earn back Kourtney’s trust. She bluntly says, “I have to be honest with you and part of love is being honest…you really f**ked up.”

Next Week on Keeping Up with the Kardashians:

Next week on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris decides to throw an extravagant graduation party for Kylie. Meanwhile, Kim ends up going halfway around the world for a pregnancy craving and Khloe believes there is a spirit living in her house.

Novak Djokovic Ends Near Perfect Year with ATP World Tour Title

0

novak djokovic ends near perfect year with ATP title 2015 imagesNovak Djokovic did almost everything in 2015, and he concluded his season on Sunday with a win over long-time rival Roger Federer at the 2015 ATP World Tour Finals. Djokovic finished the season off with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over the Swiss Maestro at the London event. Except for Davis Cup play, which can only feature players from Great Britain or Belgium, the 2015 season is now over.

Djokovic, besides claiming his fourth Tour finals title, claimed a lot of other important titles in 2015. Besides winning results in multiple Masters Series events, the Serb won three of four Grand Slams. He started the season with his fifth title in Melbourne Park, later in the year he won his third Wimbledon title, and he finished the Grand Slam season off with a second title from Flushing Meadows.

Of course, the glaring hole in Djokovic’s season is the missed opportunity at Roland Garros. With Rafael Nadal playing below his normal standard, even on clay, Djokovic was into the final in Paris through the Spaniard. However, the Serb dropped the championship match at Roland Garros to underdog Stan Wawrinka, a player who claimed his second career major title. In losing to Wawrinka, the World No. 1 missed a glorious opportunity to complete his career Grand Slam, something that he will certainly be judged on at career’s end if he does not win the French Open in the future.

But all of his currently active titles have contributed to a very lengthy stay on top of the ATP rankings. Recently Djokovic surpassed John McEnroe for fifth all-time in terms of weeks as the highest ranked player in the world.

In finishing 2015 off as the World No. 1, Djokovic will add a handful of weeks to his total during tennis’ very short off-season. However, his lead is so great in the current rankings that it is hard to picture the Serb losing the top spot anytime soon, even after the start of the 2016 season. That said, Djokovic would need to retain the World No. 1 ranking for almost two years straight before he would come close to Jimmy Connors, the player currently in fourth position in terms of weeks spent at No. 1.

But while Djokovic just completed a year of dominance, it was also a year of disappointment for several other players. Wawrinka is an exception as he over-achieved in just winning one major. Furthermore, Federer, playing so well at such an advanced age, is beyond reproach.

However, Nadal has faded on tour and Andy Murray, in order to get a passing grade, would have needed to take a bite out of Djokovic’s Grand Slam dominance in my view. Furthermore, 2015 did not really see a new face make a huge impact. All of the players currently in the Top 15 have a lengthy history of being so highly ranked, with the exception of Kevin Anderson.

We’ll have to wait and see what happens in 2016. However, I expect Djokovic to win the Australian Open and the elusive French Open. I think Nadal will re-surge some while I think we might see David Ferrer fall out of the Top 10 for good. Furthermore, I think we’ll see Borna Coric, the 19-year old from Croatia, who is currently ranked 44th, make a charge toward the Top 10. In watching numerous of his matches over the last few months, I think he only needs a little bit of fine-tuning to start putting a scare into the top players on tour more often.

The ATP hasn’t updated their calendar for next season yet but expect a handful of minor tournaments to be played in very early January. For those that only follow the major events, the 2016 Australian Open is up next, an event that starts January 18th (with quallies in the days prior).

Early Picks from NFL Rookie Class of 2015 Yet to Make a Real Impact

0

Early Picks from NFL Rookie Class of 2015 aaron donald imagesMaybe we expected a little too much from them. Odell Beckham Jr, Kelvin Benjamin, Jarvis Landry, Aaron Donald, Mike Evans, and Khalil Mack were just some of the stars from the 2014 NFL Draft who have already earned their keeps. It was a tough act to follow.

I’m not saying that the Class of 2015 is a disaster by any means. Todd Gurley and Amari Cooper have emerged as forces to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, they seem to be the odd men out as far as the first-round selections are concerned.

Stefon Diggs, Jamison Crowder, Karlos Williams, and Kwon Alexander have all stood out this season, and they all have something in common—none of them were picked before the fourth round of the draft.

The first-rounders have been forgettable for lack of a better term. Remember when Leonard Williams was touted the most talented player coming out of college? Well, the sixth-overall selection by the New York Jets is sitting on 33 tackles and an embarrassing half a sack. Vic Beasley, the eight-overall pick set to save the Atlanta Falcons from their defensive woes? Two sacks and one interception.

Shane Ray, Arik Armstead, Bud Dupree, all taken in the first round, all less than impressive through Week 10. They aren’t the only ones either: No. 3 Dante Fowler, No. 11 Trae Wayne, No. 12 Danny Shelton, No. 13 Andrus Peat, and No. 24 D.J. Humphries have all failed to have a positive impact on their teams so far this season. Some like Fowler and Humphries haven’t even played a snap yet due to injury.

Then, of course, there’s Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, who are either doing really well or completely flopping depending on who you talk to.

Regardless of the top two selections, a good portion of the other 30 needs to step it up. I’m not calling anyone a bust; it’s way too early for that. All I’m saying is if they don’t get it together soon, they’re well on their way to that dreaded label.

Ezekiel Elliott Goes on Lengthy Post Game Rant: Video

Ezekiel Elliott Goes on Lengthy Post Game Rant 2015 imagesThe grounds crew at Ohio State University will be doing some landscape repairs outside Urban Meyer’s office this week. The scorched earth left behind by Ezekiel Elliott will be in need of a serious overhaul.

Some engineers will also be needed to design a few new bridges to replace the ones that were lit on fire by Elliott in his postgame rant after his team lost to the Spartans of Michigan State.

If you didn’t see the Ohio State running back going off in the locker room, then take a look:

This was not a tirade like you might see from Dez Bryant. Elliott didn’t curse at the reporters and never really raised his voice at all. Dude was methodical and measured as he broke down the shortcomings of his play callers.

Make no mistake, though, dude was pissed, and he took about six and a half minutes to breakdown how the coaching staff cost his Buckeyes the game and most likely a shot at the college football playoffs. Elliott only carried the ball 11 times in the 17-14 loss, in which the Spartans never had the lead until it counted most, with zeroes on the game clock.

Ezekiel Elliott said he lobbied for the ball multiple times on the sidelines during the game. The tail back said he was 100% healthy so “he deserved more than 11 carries.”

Elliott was as clear as he could be about where the blame lied in the loss, telling Big Ten Network‘s Rick Pizzo, “The coaching staff didn’t put us in a position to win.” Boom!

When asked about any disappointment concerning his 15 game streak of 100-yard games ending with this 33-yard performance, Elliot said he didn’t care about that. He stated he was only concerned about winning the game. I can’t get inside the man’s head, but he seemed very sincere. I got the vibe that he wasn’t being selfish. He talked about how he spoke to teammates in the locker room after the game lamenting they all had very little time left together and needed to focus on next week’s game against hated Michigan.

Oh, Elliot emptied his flamethrower with one last soundbite, telling reporters there was no chance of him returning next year! See the clip below as the three older guys I assume are Ohio St. officials in the background watch in sheer horror. I’ve never seen a person more relieved than the bald guy with glasses on his head when Zek finally walked away from the mic!

Of course, you want to be a good teammate even after a big loss like this one. So Elliott got plenty of criticism on Twitter after he broke the OSU coaching staff off. I had to correct the Twit who had this to say:

I made it clear to the original Tweeter that Meyer doesn’t put in 70 hours for the running back or the rest of the team. He does it for the $5.8 million dollars OSU pays him yearly.

Meyer isn’t working for the Red Cross doing these kids a favor. He’s being compensated at the highest level. That makes it OK for a player to criticize him in my opinion. While others will be on Elliott all week about his comments, I’m fine with it. Glad he did it actually.

I’m fine with him doing it on the way out the door to the NFL also. Meyer would hang these players out to dry in a minute if he found it necessary. We’ve seen coaches bounce for bigger paydays or when NCAA sanctions are looming. Meyer did it himself, hanging Florida out to dry to “spend more time with his family.” It took the coach less time to find another coaching job than it did for one of his former players to become an alleged serial killer.

I doubt we’re going to see any punishment for Ezekiel Elliott as OSU heads into their biggest rivalry game next week with Michigan. If Meyer decided to bench Elliott, that would be to the player’s benefit. No need in the kid getting hurt with just a couple games left to play in his “student athlete” career. He should save those knees for the NFL where they believe in capitalism.

I’ve no idea why Elliott didn’t get the ball more during the game which was close throughout. I could understand if the game was getting out of hand and OSU had to throw it around more. Maybe the coaching staff didn’t feel like their starting tailback was 100% like he believed himself to be. Judging by the cyst on his leg that he showed reporters, he certainly didn’t look 100% to my untrained eye. That infection was serious enough to land him in the hospital earlier in the week.

Whatever the reason for the lack of touches for Ezekiel Elliott, he made sure the world knew how he felt about it. It gave me great joy to see it happen. None of those reporters that were climbing over each other to record the running back’s comments would have pressed Meyer on why he only gave his star back 11 carries. They would have asked the question politely and moved on when Meyer answered it to no one’s satisfaction except his own.

Here’s to Ezekiel Elliott having a great NFL career and I congratulate him on torching his coaching staff on the way out the door. Meyer and his staff make plenty of money so they should not be above criticism, even from the unpaid help who are expected to tow the company line without much in the way of company benefits.
