one directions liam payne show his harry potter love 2015 gossipWhen you’re in a hugely successful boy band like One Direction you can afford to splurge. This is exactly what Liam Payne did, as he admits on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

In the interview, Liam revealed that the purchased the flying blue car from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and put it in his garden. The star explained, “I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden. You know the blue far, the flying car? I bought one because I’m a bit of a geek.”

Liam went on to say that he has taken various online quizzes so he can determine what house he would be in if he were a student of Hogwarts. Liam told the host, “my friend got Hufflepuff and I got Gryffindor. He was so annoyed.”

Earlier this year, the 22-year-old celebrated his birthday with a Harry Potter­-themed event. Liam even had an over-the-top birthday cake made in his honor, which featured Potter-esque books and an edible golden snitch on top.

While Liam has undoubtedly made lots of money for himself over the past few years, he might want to slow down his spending as he recently revealed that his band would be taking two years off.

sam frost deja vu with maxim 2015 gossipSupermodel Sam Frost is putting Maxim magazine on blast, after they doctored an old photo of her and used it for their December cover. The model explained the situation while on the air for her radio show, 2DayFM Show with Rove McManus.

Sam claimed that the photo seen on the cover is from a shoot she did back in February. And to make matters worse, she also revealed that the magazine employed notable amounts of Photoshop to “enhance” the model’s appearance. Sam said, “I’m smack bang right on the front cover, implying that I’ve done a second photo shoot, I’ve returned to Maxim. They’ve actually photo shopped my hair dark because I was blond then and now I’m brunette. They’ve enhanced my boobs – I am quite flat chested and I’m okay with that – and brought in my waist.”

Sam went on to express her concerns with the magazine cover, saying, “I personally feel like it is a bit disappointing because I don’t look like that. I’m a huge advocate for being a good role model and for young girls and just embracing what you look like.”

A few months back, Sam revealed that she didn’t like posing for Maxim. In an interview she claimed, “Yeah I did actually [regret posing for the magazine]. I wasn’t in a good head space at the time, in hindsight, I wish I didn’t do it.”

Santi Pintado, the editor-in-chief of the magazine responded to Sam’s criticism, stating, “It’s no secret magazines retouch images. The only thing we’ve done is pretty much darken her hair from the shoot. In terms of enhancements, no. We haven’t really done anything to her at all. It’s basically the hair color.”

While the magazine remains adamant that they did nothing wrong, the accompanying article to Sam’s picture in the December issue claims that the model “returned to Maxim.” However, this appears to be untrue.

Celebrity Gossip For The Week Of November 16th

Kicking off this week’s celebrity gossip, Modern Family actress Ariel Winter is lashing out at the Internet in the wake of comments made regarding pictures she recently posted in which she is with her two nieces. For some strange reason, the picture of the three of them in bathing suits on a boat was inappropriate in the minds of many of her Instagram followers. The controversy surrounds the fact that in some of the pictures she posted women’s legs had words written on them like “provocative.”

Winter then went on to say that what a female wears does not indicate what she is asking for (i.e. sexual activities.) She said females choose what to wear in order to express themselves and they don’t deserve any negative consequences stemming from what they choose to wear. Winter has also recently slammed the idea of body shaming, saying women should support each other and make each other feel beautiful.


Christina Aguilera recently hosted a party for the Verizon Hopeline Program in West Hollywood. The party was to help raise awareness of the cause of domestic violence. During the party, Aguilera was asked what she thought of the budding romance between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani (whom she has worked with as a judge on NBC’s The Voice,) and she said that they are good people who deserve happiness.

Though fans seem to love the idea of Blake and Gwen dating, there has been much speculation as to what ended Gwen’s marriage to Gavin Rossdale. A source that knows Gwen and Gavin has stated that the reason they divorced is because Gavin cheated on Gwen with their family nanny. The family reportedly shared an iPad on which the couple’s maid found explicit photos of Gavin and the nanny as well as explicit conversations between them and showed the evidence to Gwen, who traced it back to Gavin’s cell phone. There has been no confirmation as to whether or not this is true.

Even though they are a brand new couple, Blake and Gwen are shooting down rumors that they are already expecting a baby together. Using Twitter, Blake told all of his followers the rumor is untrue. He also quoted Brad Paisley when he said the more the media gets his name out there, the more money he commands in Hollywood.

Still nursing a presumably broken heart, for the first time in years Justin Bieber has chosen to skip attending the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show. The reason he chose to skip it is that the show booked his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez to perform a number. During a recent interview, Bieber also said that over the course of the past year he has gained more confidence. He cited staying out of trouble to avoid making the news as a turning point for him. In another interview he recently gave, Bieber said that the media has always held him to different standards than all other celebrities thanks to the perception of the brand his name represents. He said the media ripped him apart because he started out as a wholesome pop star.

In other Justin Bieber news he has announced that starting in March of 2016 he is embarking on a U.S. tour that will include 58 performances throughout Canada and the United States. The final concert of the tour will take place in July of 2016 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

Ellen Degeneres recently celebrated the 200th episode of her daytime talk show with special surprise guests Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Aniston. Other guests included Kerry Washington, who showed up with a bottle of red wine for the host and even Warner Television’s CEO, who renamed the show’s soundstage after its iconic host.

In tragic news, fans of the ABC daytime soap One Life To Live mourned the death of 40-year-old Nathaniel Marston. The former soap actor was involved in a serious car accident leaving him with injuries he couldn’t recover from. According to the actor’s mother, he died in her arms. She stated that if he had lived he would have been a quadriplegic and would never be able to speak again. Sympathies go out to his family, friends and fans.

Karlie Kross is now supporting a campaign run by the Wall Street Journal. The “Make Time” campaign She went on to say that the Wall Street Journal has greatly influenced her career and that she has a copy of it on her at all times when she travels around the world for her fashion career. She said she uses the Wall Street Journal to interact with professionals in many fields.
Last week in NYC Shai LeBeouf attended a movie marathon of every movie he has appeared in. He made news for offering to have any of his fans come to the theater and watch his movies with him without having to pay a dime to do so. For those who couldn’t make it in person, the movie marathon was streamed online.

Country singer Jason Aldean has come under fire for dressing as rapper Lil Wayne for Halloween. His costume included fake braids designed to look like dreads as well as paint on his face that made him look like a black man. Apparently Aldean’s fans are unhappy with him over his choice in costumes.

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe challenged Fallon to perform the famous (or infamous, depending on your viewpoint,) Gangnam Style dance after a fan in the audience challenged him to. Speaking as Harry Potter, Radcliffe told Fallon he didn’t swim to NYC from England to not get to see him do the dance. Fallon, being the good sport that he is, then performed the dance as requested.

Wrapping up this week’s celebrity gossip, Gisele Bundchen has admitted that her marriage to Tom Brady has been a struggle in the past. She said despite the challenges; they have always supported each other.

Agent Ryan questioned a witness, Tristan Jenkins, who was Isabel’s neighbor and saw the murder happen. Tristan was found in the courtyard in front of Isabel’s home. Agent Mundo, Russell and Raven went to Tampa to investigate and find clues from the video chat. Russell examined Isabel’s body and said it looked like she knew the man who killed her. Russell told Raven to get the file from the video chat.

Daniel said someone had access to the camera in Isabel’s laptop, implying that that someone had hacked into it. Nelson found a photo image of the killer on the laptop camera. Isabel’s mom saw her blood spatter on the screen as she was stabbed to death.

Agent Ryan asked Tristan if he remembered the murderer’s face. Tristan said he didn’t remember, and he felt like he was wasting her time. She deduced he was suffering from PSTD and that she wasn’t sure he remembered calling 911. She also said her gut feeling told her he wasn’t lying, but there was something he wasn’t telling them.

Tristan was shown pictures of the men in Isabel’s life in the hope he could identify at least one of them. He said he didn’t recognize any of them as the murderer. Nelson kept getting calls on his cell from an unidentified number. Daniel found a serial number device that was used to put malware in Isabel’s computer. This led them to a sex toy found among Isabel’s belongings. It included technology that would allow long-distance couples to sexually pleasure each other. Isabel had been using it to be sexual with her boyfriend while she was living in Tampa. They determined one of her sex toys had been hacked into, allowing the hacker to engage in sexual acts with Isabel. Agent Ryan realized that blood was left at the crime scene containing the DNA of the murderer. Nelson and Daniel determined Isabel’s sex toy was hacked into before she bought it.

Nelson’s brother came to him for help because he thought a friend of his was being investigated by the FBI. Nelson refused to help him because the last time he saw him was the day he got arrested for hacking.

Agent Ryan asked Tristan about Isabel, and he said they had a lot in common. He said they spent a lot of time together because neither had much family in Tampa. Agent Mundo arrested the man who hacked into the sex toy but determined the hacker was not the murderer. They found out the murderer had been able to watch every video chat Isabel had on her laptop. Agent Ryan called her a high-risk victim because she was so far from home with few people to lean on.

Daniel put a virus on one of their computers so he could start a video chat between Raven and Nelson that the murderer would be able to see. He found many decoys that kept him from pinpointing the murderer. Nelson went into the FBI database and found out there were charges against his brother.

They flagged all the locations of the decoys set up by the murderer. Daniel determined the murderer was Isabel’s neighbors, pointing them towards Tristan as the guilty party. Agent Ryan played the 911 recording of the call Tristan made. Daniel told Raven to tell Agent Ryan that Tristan was the murderer. Tristan fled FBI headquarters. The FBI raided Tristan’s apartment, and Agent Ryan found out Tristan had been pretending they were hanging out together anytime she was on a video chat with her boyfriend. Agent Mundo deduced that Tristan had never met Isabel and knew what he knew about her from spying on her. Agent Ryan told Mundo to grab Tristan’s toothbrush and have it tested.

Tristan had hundreds of hours of video moments from Isabel’s life and the life of Tristan’s family members. Agent Ryan deduced Tristan was delusional. Testing Tristan’s toothbrush determined it was  not his saliva found at the crime scene, so he wasn’t the murderer. Agent Ryan guessed Tristan remembered the murderer’s face and said out to find and kill the person.

In a video journal entry, Isabel talked about someone’s obsession with her without once mentioning the person’s name. They used a site called Friend Agenda to search for the murderer but hit a dead end. They found out Marfan’s syndrome was associated with the murderer and used social media to determine who the murderer was. The person it led them to was Nelson’s brother that he had refused to help.

Tristan showed up at Isabel’s office at work to kill her boss, Neil, thinking her boss murdered her. Agent Ryan convinced Tristan to put his gun down. Agent Mundo then arrested him and Isabel’s father shot Neil. Agent Ryan told Tristan there would be charges against him even though Neil killed Isabel.

To assist your aim in fast moving fights, VATS slows down time and allows you to target specific body parts of your enemy to increase your effectiveness.

Now in addition to collecting ammo and food, you’ll want to carry supplies in order to be able to set up your own homes and outposts. You could make a home in a friendly city or make a sniper tower in a hostile environment.

There are two editions for the game currently: Standard, and the Pip-boy edition. The Pip-boy is the device that you use in the game to monitor your health and organize your inventory, and has since become a major symbol of the game.

This edition includes a physical Pip-boy that you can place your phone in, a stand, a metal case, and the game itself. Although not required for the story, it’d be very beneficial to play Fallout 3 and New Vegas to get a good feel for the world. They’re available online at a very reasonable price, and hold up extremely well.

In Human Revolution, people getting augments was a social norm. However, at some point, those who were augmented lost control over their bodies, and millions were killed. Now, in Mankind Divided, those who are still augmented are treated as social outcasts and freaks.

The gameplay is what makes the games unique. You have a very open choice as to how you can play. You may choose to be stealthy – sneaking around in vents, taking out guards and hiding them one by one, and slowly but steadily making your way around.

The other option is to play in a more action oriented way – running and gunning, breaking down walls, and generally destroying everything you see until you get your way.

Players may also augment themselves to make gameplay a bit more fluid. Augments are extremely useful and nearly essential to the game. You have multiple types of augments that you can select.

If you so choose to play in a stealthy way, you can choose an augment that might make your footsteps quieter. Of course, if you choose to play in an action oriented way, there are augments for that, too – such as augments that allow you to carry more ammo.

This provides two very different experiences – almost making it feel like a different game, so you definitely get your money’s worth out of these games. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will come out in two different editions: standard and collectors.

The standard edition will include just the game. The collector’s edition will include the game, a 9” figurine, an art book, an extra mission, the music track, and some in-game items.

Even if you choose the standard edition, if you preorder, you will not only be able to choose up to 4 of those perks, but you will also contribute to the community. The more people that preorder, the more perks everyone will be able to choose.

When Microsoft first launched the Xbox in 2001, everyone assumed it would be unsuccessful compared to Sony and Nintendo’s consoles. However, the Xbox proved itself with the launch of one instant classic: Halo: Combat Evolved. This game blew everything else out of the water. It was visually stunning, had brand new mechanics, and was fast-paced, fun action in an intense story.

Every Halo game since then has been a hit game, selling millions of copies, as well as adding in more and more lore and fun. Halo 5 will be no different. In this installment, you’ll take on a whole new protagonist in an intriguing back and forth campaign.

If you saw the Halo 2 cut scenes remade in the Master Chief Collection, we got a little look into the story. Not only will you play as Master Chief, but you will also take control of Spartan Locke and lead Fireteam Osiris, who are on the hunt for Master Chief after he went AWOL.

Therefore, in an interesting new playing mechanic, you will be running from yourself – yet hunting yourself. Of course, everyone loves the Halo multiplayer experience. This game will be introducing multiple new game modes, including Warzone and Arena.

Warzone will be a massive, 24-player multiplayer fight. Now that may mean 24 players on each team, or it may mean 24 total (12 on each side,) but either way, it will be hectic.

Warzone will not be the only new mode.

Halo 5 is looking like a much more fast-paced, team based game that will support more fluidity and teamwork. Usually, Master Chief runs solo, but now we’ll be facing Chief’s team VS Fireteam Osiris.

This will mean that you’ll be able to take on much larger hordes of enemies – very similar to the ones we saw in Halo: Combat Evolved. You’ll be able to pick your choice of three different Halo 5 editions: standard, limited, and collector’s editions.

The standard will come with just the video game itself. The Limited Edition will come in a special box and case, include a disc with special art, a metal guardian model, Spartan Locke’s classified dossiers, a Halo Animated Series, and some multiplayer armor and gear.

The Collector’s edition includes the same things as the Limited edition, as well as a commemorative statue of Master Chief and Spartan Locke, and a new set of packaging that’s sure to please fans so check it out for the best prices.

Rousey’s Dethroning and Fighter Injuries Result in a Terrible Week for the UFC

This week had a great deal of news (most of which was negative), as well as some exciting fights. Let’s take a look at some of these top stories, as well as the important takeaway from UFC 193!

Bellator 145 Does Well in Ratings, Beats UFC

The viewership numbers for Bellator 145 (an average of 814,000) were impressive, drawing enough attention to beat the UFC last weekend. Peaking at over one million viewers, Bellator 145 was admittedly stacked with more of the promotion’s stars than UFN 77. Nevertheless, the reality remains that Bellator’s roster and cards are able to attract a sizable viewership. UFN 77 drew an average of 757,000 viewers for the main card—nothing to scoff at, but not enough to win the viewership war.

Bellator Considering a London Event in 2016

In a move that seems to be a logical progression of promoting their roster, Bellator has announced that the promotion will consider holding an event next year in London. With Liam McGeary sitting atop the light heavyweight division, the main event has essentially been decided for such an event; British stars Paul Daley, and Linton Vassell will do well to complement the event, as will the often-forgotten Terry Etim (although he hasn’t competed in nearly two years, this is a great chance to return to competition).

Serra-Longo Star Out with Knee Injury

UFC lightweight and Serra-Longo product Al Iaquinta is going to be out of action for six to eight months with a knee injury. Requiring surgery, the injury is certainly a disappointment for both him and the fans. Having won his last four fights, Iaquinta has proven that he belongs amongst the elite of the lightweight division. To put a positive spin on the news, at least Iaquinta’s recovering will give him more time to enjoy the holidays with his family, while staying warm from the cold New York winter; it would have been hard to take anything positive away from the situation had the injury been sustained in the spring or summer.

Cro Cop Retires, Is Flagged for Drug Violation

Citing a series of injuries sustained over the course of his career, fan-favorite Mirko “Cro Cop” unexpectedly retired from the sport over Facebook, leaving his co-main event spot at UFN 79 in South Korea vacant. Fans were initially disappointed, but the news took an even more upsetting twist when it was discovered that Cro Cop also failed a drug test, after testing positive for growth hormones. Cro Cop claimed that the hormones were to help heal his shoulder—and given his negative test last fight, as well as those throughout his career, his honest approach makes one want to believe him.

With this disappointment aside, Cro Cop has certainly had a storied and successful career. It’s hard to imagine a better last fight for him than his previous stoppage win over Gabriel Gonzaga.

UFC Fight Night 79 Loses Another Fight

In addition to Cro Cop’s removal from the card, MMA fans (especially those from South Korea) were dealt another large blow, as Thiago Alves was forced to withdraw from his main-event position opposite Benson Henderson. Nearly a worst-case scenario for the UFC, UFN 79 has now lost a co-main event and main event competitor just two weeks out from the scheduled date; these circumstances are oddly familiar to last month’s UFN 76 card in Ireland. It remains to be seen whether or not suitable replacements will be found in time. However, just two weeks out from an event in a foreign country, new competitors for these difficult fights will be very hard to find, to say the least.

Luis Santos Misses Weight, Cancels Ben Askren Fight

ONE’s most anticipated match of the year—for American fans, at least—was cancelled just one day before the event, due to a frankly unprofessional Luis Santos. After missing weight for his title bout by a final two pounds, Askren requested that Santos weigh-in at 190 lbs. or less on fight day—with about eight hours to further rehydrate himself (Askren would have also adhered to this weigh-in). Santos agreed, before showing up to this weight-check overweight once again, at 192 lbs. It’s a shame that he was so unprofessional here—win or lose, there were a great number of eyes on him. Askren was still paid his fight purse by ONE, but he certainly paid a great price for this cancelled bout; all of these months without competition truly are unfortunate at his career stage. With another opponent, Askren likely could have had one defense, with another fight lined up now.

Ronda Rousey Dethroned at UFC 193

There were some solid fights at UFC 193, but the bout that will undoubtedly resonate with the public for many years to come is Holm vs. Rousey. Holm demolished Rousey and secured the belt via second-round knockout, after overwhelming and besting the former champion in the first. The finish was vicious and devastating highlight-reel material that has certainly (permanently) damaged the stock of Rousey.

The most disappointed individuals in the arena, beside Rousey and her team, were likely the UFC brass. Even with the rematch considered, this bump in the road will cost the promotion an excellent deal of revenue. Although they’ve certainly had an impressive return on the funds spent to promote Rousey, perhaps this experience will allow them to be less reckless in over-promoting an athlete; while all of this money was able to help build the hype behind Rousey when she was winning, it remains to be seen just how many fans will tune-in now that she’s sustained a loss—or, more pressingly, if she loses the rematch.

Rousey’s defeat puts an exclamation point on the awful week that the UFC has had. From losing the ratings war to the UFC South Korea injuries, and finally this upset, this tumultuous set of circumstances and occurrences makes ONE’s cancelled title-fight situation look like a dream. Hopefully, next week will hold more positive news (in the way of injuries and cancelled fights, that is; the Holm win wasn’t a negative occurrence for fans, just the UFC). Enjoy the fights!

Four Top Ten teams lost and seven of the nation’s Top 25 fell over the weekend. The new College Football Playoff poll to be released Tuesday will likely feature the same top four – Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame – but the rest of the poll is in for a shakeup. Here’s a look at the winners and losers in Week 11.

WINNERS

Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds became the NCAA’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns when he scored four times in a 55-14 win over SMU. The four scores leave Reynolds with 81 career rushing TDs. More importantly, it moves 20th-ranked Navy to 8-1, 6-0 in the American Athletic Conference. The Midshipmen are on track to meet unbeaten Houston in the season finale for the right to represent the AAC West Division in the conference’s first-ever championship game.

Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer and Missouri’s Gary Pinkel both announced that they will retire at the end of this season. On Thursday, the Hokies played inspired and came from behind to defeat Georgia Tech, 23-21. Beamer’s team moved to 5-5 on the season and needs one more victory to keep the nation’s longest bowl streak alive. Another win could send Virginia Tech to a 23rd-straight bowl game. Pinkel announced he would end his 15-year career at Missouri earlier this week. The Mizzou head coach was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma and wants to take some time away from the rigors of the game. The Tigers beat a very good BYU team Saturday to move to 5-5. A win over Tennessee or Arkansas in the team’s remaining games will make Missouri bowl eligible.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt may have bought himself some more time with a gritty 20-13 win over Auburn on Saturday. The Bulldogs are now 7-3 with two games, both in Georgia, remaining on the schedule. Georgia takes on 7-2 Georgia Southern next week and then finishes the season on the road at rival Georgia Tech. Two wins would go a long way to salvaging the season and Richt’s job.

After a few years of reveling in obscurity, Southern Mississippi is back. The Golden Eagles are 7-3 after a 65-10 victory over Rice, a game win which QB Nick Mullens threw five touchdown passes…in the first half! Southern Miss faces Old Dominion next week and then faces Louisiana Tech in a game that will likely determine the Conference USA West Division champion.

LOSERS

Can things get any worse for TCU? Last week, wide receiver Josh Doctson missed most the game with a wrist injury. This week, both Doctson and QB Trevone Boykin missed significant time as the Horned Frogs squeaked out a 23-17 win over 0-10 Kansas. If the star pair cannot play the next two weeks, TCU is in trouble. Head coach, Gary Patterson’s team, finishes the season with Oklahoma and Baylor.

The Pac-12’s playoff hopes all but disappeared when Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan’s two-point conversion pass fell incomplete in a 38-36 loss to Oregon. Stanford falls to 8-2 overall and faces Cal in a rivalry game next week and then closes the regular season with No. 4 Notre Dame. Utah, ranked No. 10 entering last Saturday’s game with Arizona, watched their playoff hopes slip away in a double overtime defeat to the Wildcats. The best the conference can do now is a two-loss champion, which likely will not qualify for the College Football Playoff.

The Duke football program under head coach David Cutcliffe is better than anything the program has put on the field since the short tenure of Steve Spurrier. With the program used to winning under Cutcliffe, the Blue Devils have watched their season take a turn for the worse after the wild and crazy kick return against Miami. Duke started the season 6-1 then lost to Miami on the wacky kick return. The Blue Devils then lost to rival North Carolina and last Saturday to Pittsburgh. Cutcliffe’s squad has lost its last two games by a combined 97-44. At 6-4 and with games remaining against Virginia and Wake Forest, Duke can still finish with eight wins.

LSU started the season 7-0 and appeared to be in the running for a College Football Playoff berth. Now with two consecutive losses, the Tigers just need to salvage the rest of the season. After rushing for over 150 yards in each of the first seven games, running back, Leonard Fournette was held under 100 yards for the second straight game. Fournette ran 19 times for 91 yards in the 31-14 loss to Arkansas on Saturday night. The Tigers finish the season against a pair of 7-3 teams, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

Peyton Manning Passes Brett Favre 2015 nfl imagesWith a short 4-yard completion to running back Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos quarterback claimed yet another NFL all-time record, passing himself past Brett Favre for the most passing yards in league history. That’s a lot of pass.

Favre did sent him his congratulations to Manning in a video message from a tree stand as he was on a hunting expedition. “I’m in tree stand. Yeah, you’ve interrupted me again,” before offering his congratulations. Favre called Manning, “The best.”

Manning reluctant celebrated his accomplishment with a standing ovation from the home crowd at Mile High Stadium despite his efforts to just continue the drive. That wasn’t the record Manning cared about—he wanted the all-time wins record. Unfortunately, after an embarrassing 29-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, he’ll have to wait another week for that one.

Manning finished the day 5-of-20 for 35 yards and four interceptions. Definitely not the best performance in his Hall of Fame career. Clearly those foot and rib issues are a little worse than Manning, or the Broncos would lead us to believe.

In an effort to keep Manning, fresh and healthy, head coach Gary Kubiak sent Brock Osweiler out at quarterback in the third quarter, and Broncos fans got a taste of just how much their team will fall off in the next few seasons without The Sheriff.

It’s hard to believe that this is the same team that absolutely dismantled the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago. They looked atrocious in every aspect of the sport—especially on defense.

Let me make something clear: this loss is 100 percent on the offense’s shoulders. I’m just saying that the “No. 1” defense in the league has looked like Jack Del Rio came back as coordinator the past two games. Sure, the offense didn’t help. The interceptions didn’t make the defenses job easy, and they did do a good job holding the Chiefs to field goals, but they also looked completely lost on a good number of plays, and they certainly gave up some big ones which they had prevented through the majority of the first seven games of the year.

“Peyton’s our quarterback,” said Kubiak after the game. “If he’s healthy and ready to go, Peyton’s our quarterback.” So don’t get it confused.

Let’s just hope the NFL’s all-time leader in game-winning drives in the fourth quarter and overtime has another crazy comeback in him.

According to reports, this new wave of terrorist attacks that left 129 innocent civilians dead was highly coordinated. To do so would be to employ a type of communication that’s difficult to monitor, yet can reach out to as many potential recruits as possible. Belgian authorities say that the terrorists may be using in-game chats to communicate. If true, it’s the worst case of technological backfire in history. What’s supposed to be a platform for entertainment has become a tool for terrorism.

What led Mr. Jambon to this conclusion is that several raids in Brussels for suspected terrorists turned up several Playstation 4 consoles. Eyewitness reports in Paris say that the terrorists were between 19 to 30 years of age which is the average age for PS4 gamers which is also the age group targeted by IS recruiters for radicalization. Conversing through in-game chats would logically be safer than e-mail or social media which is allegedly being actively monitored by various governments.

Gaming used to be so simple. Just pop in a cartridge or even a cassette into a console to kill a few hours and you’re good to go. Multi-player meant playing with a friend on the other gamepad of up to four at a time through special adapters. No networking, no DRMs or DLCs or mini-purchases to worry about. The only form of communication is by talking to each other. Sure, there were already networked PC games out there where players can role-play and chat but it was all fun and games. But now, as technology grew, and the world has become so interconnected, games needed to be built-in with some form of social interaction. Most role-playing, real-time strategy, fantasy and first-person shooting games include built-in chat so allied players can coordinate their movements. Even though games have become so huge, buggy, graphic and violent, it’s still fun and games… until someone brings up religious extremism while chatting. You could imagine IS players chatting up other kids during an FPS session. “This is boring. Howzabout killing people for real?” or, “These aren’t the zombies were supposed to be killing. Let us free your mind, level up and help us kill everyone zombified by Western ideology.”

It’s appalling to think that this might be true. Gaming chat sessions might not be so monitored because they’d be perceived as nonsense by the powers-at-be, but they are. It’s just that there are so many in the community that authorities are having a difficult time. There are over 100 million users in the PlayStation Network alone and millions more in Xbox Live. With all the government snooping and privacy concerns, these platforms have beefed up their communications protocols with encryption making it easier for terrorists, pedophiles, human traffickers and drug groups to take advantage of this unconventional channel of communication.

The FBI already has facilities to monitor these channels for the already mentioned illicit activities, except for religious extremism which is relatively new is now one more thing for them to worry about. Imagine a bunch of agents spending their work time playing World of Warcraft looking for people trading in ‘magic potions’ or Call of Duty looking for actual terrorists. That’s some dream job right there, gamers. But seriously, it’s a real difficult job just looking for suspects among millions of gamers, hundreds of different games and thousands of game sessions, not to mention keeping to the task without losing one’s self playing these games. Also, to keep from being traced, there are plenty of ways for terrorists to communicate without typing or chatting as they can turn to symbolism through creative games like Minecraft, which allow gamers to create just about anything.

It’s scary to think that this sort of evil has permeated into gaming. A form of entertainment intended for young minds. Minds at an age where they are most malleable, easy to mold through promises of better companionship, a sense of belongingness and fulfillment. Perhaps gaming platforms should relax on the privacy and let the authorities freely monitor in-game communications? It’s Orwellian, but a little order needs to be inserted in this issue to protect the youth and the rest of humanity in general. Perhaps the industry should go back to the olden days where copyright is insured through cartridge-based media. Should parents start to monitor who their kids are playing with?

The gaming industry will surely object to such suggestions unless they somehow fall victim to these attacks. No blood has been spilled in recent hacks against the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, so the show goes on. Unless the governments of the world does something quick against IS, the gaming community must be wary of recruitment efforts and parents and peers need to be wary of signs. It’s not enough that gaming has been blamed for desensitizing kids on the value of life, gaming actually becomes a direct tool in ruining and taking innocent lives. If we can just go back to the time when all parents had to worry about are missing quarters in the coin jar and kids spending too much time in the arcades, shooting pixels instead of people. Vive le France.

ronda rousey invincible no more 2015 mma image ufcIt was a hell of a ride fight fans. It is now over, though. So back to reality. Ronda Rousey has been beaten by Holly Holm in nasty fashion.

Knocked the fuck Out!

Shock was the trending keyword on social media after Rousey’s lights went out and Holly Holm walked out of the Octagon with the gold belt that used to be owned by the Rowdiest female fighter we had ever seen.

I feel for the naive sports fans that could not have seen this coming. Young MMA fans had to be especially devastated by the so called “invincible” Ronda Rousey losing. I am certain all the hardcore Rousey fans thought their champion would retire undefeated.

Count me among the Rousey fans. I’m just old enough to know better than believe she could ever escape defeat long term.

No matter how dominating she had been up until she faced former world boxing champion Holly Holm in Australia, I knew she was subject to a loss. That’s what happens in the fight game.

No matter how powerful the persona of Rousey, she was not a god. As impressive as she was in interviews or how scary her stare was on her walk to the Octagon, she was a mere mortal.

Holly Holm exposed the fact that Rousey was a mere human with a round and a half of punches to the beautiful face of Rousey. The challenger then turned the lights out on the champ’s undefeated record and insane title run with a kick to the head.

Fight over, invincibility gone.

Gone too is the mystique surrounding Rousey. Holm has done to her what Buster Douglas did to Iron Mike Tyson back in the day. After Tyson was knocked out in Tokyo by the 42-1 underdog, Iron Mike was no longer able to win fights before he even got to the ring. The fear factor was erased, and he had to actually beat his opponents with his skills. The mental edge was gone.

After UFC 193, every fighter in the UFC Bantamweight division gained tons of confidence. Sure, these ladies believed they could knock off Rousey if given the title shot (even the ones already beaten by Rowdy). But Holm provided video evidence that it could be done. Rousey, like Tyson, just lost the immense mental edge going into every fight. She is human, and everyone sees it now.

The pre-fight build up barely mentioned Holly Holm, a clue to me that this could be the end of Rousey’s run. I’m a big Joe Rogan guy, but “he is the greatest hype machine for the fight game in the history of spoken word!”

Rogan built up Rousey to be a “once ever” athlete and put her above other female athletes who have dominated different sports for much longer than Rousey’s three and a half years as a pro fighter.

Ronda Rousey may well be a “once ever” athlete. Still, she had to win each fight on an individual basis. That meant avoiding injury during a fight, cuts that could stop a battle, getting caught in a submission hold, and, of course, eluding a blow to the head that rendered her unconscious.

That task was too much for Rousey, just as it was for the greatest male MMA fighter ever, Anderson Silva.

For all their skill, talent, and toughness, even the greatest champions in the fight game are not invincible. That’s what made boxing great and now makes MMA action so interesting. Every competitor has a puncher’s chance.

I can only hope that Rousey didn’t let her fame go to her head. If that’s the case, then the loss is even more disappointing in my eyes. If she let movie roles and everyone telling her how great she was to be her downfall, then that’s almost tragic.

Once again, she is only human. It’s hard to keep yourself grounded when you’re flying as high as Rousey is……or was.

Rousey made an interesting comment about how Holm probably would be unable to handle a “champion’s lifestyle.” Thinking that far ahead of the actual fight inside a cage is telling. Maybe Rousey was just filling up time during the weeks’ worth of pre-fight build up, but I’m confident she really thought Holm couldn’t handle what Rousey has to go through on a daily basis.

That was very flawed thinking. It matters not if Holly Holm hates the fame that comes with being the UFC’s Bantamweight Champion. If Holm is a boring interview compared to Rousey, so what?

Holly Holm doesn’t have to match what Ronda Rousey did outside the Octagon. She only needed to handle her business inside that steel cage. Holm did just that.

Now Rousey has to worry about getting her belt back, not whether Holm would want a champion’s lifestyle. We’ll see just how Holm handles herself as the champ going forward. After seeing how she dominated Rousey last night, I have little doubt she can carry the weight that comes with the belt.

Of course, we’ve not seen the last of Ronda Rousey. Dana White, who after the fight looked like someone just ran over his dog, was talking about a quick rematch. These two ladies are going to get it on again in the near future.

When Holm v. Rousey II takes place, fans will get to watch without the illusion of one fighter being invincible. The two MMA artists will be on more equal ground. Both human, both beatable.

Holly Holm will have the mental edge, of course, having stripped away the facade of invincibility from Ronda Rousey.

On Friday, Bieber released his latest album, Purpose. The album was created with the intention of being a comeback for Bieber, as he tries to rid away his bad boy label that he has managed to earn himself over the past few years (i.e. egging a neighbor’s house, DUI, etc.)

On Facebook, Justin told fans that he was distributing 2000 signed copies of his album to stores across the country. He decided to do so after he saw that his fans were organizing buyouts, where they would go to specified stores and purchase every copy of their idol’s album.  The Facebook post has suddenly disappeared though making things seem very odd indeed.

Since, fans have been flocking the stores and a lucky few have been able to get their hands on an autographed copy. However, some are beginning to question the authenticity of Bieber’s signature. Fans have been comparing the autographed copies and have found that the signature looks eerily similar on each CD.

While some fans are questioning whether the Biebs did, in fact, pen the signature on their CD, others are adamant that Justin wouldn’t lie, and he did, in fact, sign all 2000 individual copies.

Bieber is working hard to make sure that One Direction, who released their album the same day as his “Purpose,” doesn’t beat him out. NY Post is reporting that his team’s found ways to pump album sales including bundling his new release, “Purpose,” with tickets to two Staples Center shows last week — “That would be nearly another 40,000 albums [sold] right there,” said a source. He’s also partnered with ride-hailing app Lyft to give riders a download of his album for $5 through a “buy and ride” button. “Those will also go toward the charts,” a source said.

However, he found himself being the target of countless tabloid headlines when it was revealed that he was having an affair with his best friend, Andrew Silverman’s wife (at the time), Lauren.

Since the scandal broke, Lauren got a divorce from Andrew and is now in a relationship with Simon, as they raise their son Eric.

Surprisingly, Simon decided to open up to the DailyMail.com’s Sunday magazine and discuss the whole cheating controversy. Simon revealed, “I’m not proud of the circumstances, I can’t hold my head up about it.”

He went on to explain how he felt when it was confirmed that Lauren was pregnant with his child, “this was not something I planned. But I remember going to the first scan with Lauren. I called him Tad because he looked like a tadpole. Something just kicked in. I felt unbelievably protective of both of them. I just absolutely wanted him, I just hadn’t know that before.”

Later in the interview, Simon claimed that he wasn’t planning on passing down all of his fortune to his son. Simon said, “I don’t like the idea you just sort of pass it down from generation to generation. I mean I find that quite disgusting. No one ever gave me a penny and I believe part of my drive was to do with the fact I had nothing to lose. That gives you a lot of energy.”

It won’t be long until Simon will be able to set up play dates for his son with his protégé Louis Tomlinson (of One Direction)’s baby.

olly murs spills news on x factor uk 2015 gossipCowell’s X Factor UK had an embarrassment when presenter Olly Murs made quite the slip-up on Sunday’s episode. Fans are now asking if Murs will be fired after this rather large mistake.

After the judges had said they couldn’t figure out who to send home between Monica Michael and Anton Stephans, the choice was to be in the hands of the voting public.

Things changed quickly when Murs announced that Monica Michael had been eliminated before he was even handed the envelope with the results inside. Luckily, Murs was correct as Michael was the one eliminated. It just looks very odd when the presenter is able to make these announcements ahead of time.

Cowell’s shows have come under fire before for being a little shady, and this type of thing does not help matters any.

Murs did rush to Twitter to apologize for his premature announcement. “I apologise to everyone tonight I made a massive f*** up at the end. It was so tense!! I’m still learning & hope that never happens again!”

Let’s see how Cowell handles this one.
