‘Scream Queens’ 107 Beware of Young Girls Recap

scream queens 107 beware young girls 2015 imagesThis week on Scream Queens, we are one step closer to learning who the killer is taking out the Kappas with ‘Beware of Young Girls.’ We also get a little TMI for a few of the characters.

The house finally has a funeral for Chanel #2 (Adriana Grande) and, of course, Chanel Prime gives the eulogy. She does not hold back mentioning everything she believes her ex-friend was including a slut who slept with her boyfriend. Not even her parents care that she’s dead according to her.

“As soon as Chanel No. 2’s parents learned that their daughter’s dead body had been found, they went on a cruise to celebrate. That’s how much they hated this dead bitch.”

Everyone says their goodbyes and the quest to find out who the Red Devil or Devils continues.

In the midst of Zayday and Grace trying to determine who is it, there is a second story that unfolds showing just how dangerous and demented Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) truly is. And one is quite prepared for what they will uncover.

The back-story is that her husband, a professor at the University, fell in love with one of the soros the year before. Feather McCarthy took the Dean’s man, and while she tried to play coy about it, Munsch was more than bothered by her husband of many years leaving her for a pretty young thing. I mean, who wouldn’t feel a certain kind of way? We see the gruesome way in which he was killed, arms chopped off and head placed in a fish tank. Munsch is questioned by the police and somehow leads everyone to believe the Red Devil is behind her husband’s demise. But we all know it is indeed the original scream queen herself. Feather is the one who goes down for her lover’s murder and is sent away… to an asylum… in a straight jacket.

Now that you know about that, here’s the rest of the story that feeds into the overall plot of the show. The Chanels continue to hate being under Chanel Prime. Of course, they don’t tell her to her face but behind closed doors and plot to take her out. They make their plans, which is to do it after she falls asleep. But something magical happens which lends to the reaching that the show already does on a weekly basis.

Thanks to a séance after Chanel’s funeral, the girls contact her. They ask her questions like does Chanel #5 have teeth in her vagina as that is one of the running jokes on the show. They also ask who is killing everyone, and she says that Chanel is the murderer. This pisses the president off, and she doesn’t want to play anymore.

Later that night, Chanel is visited by Chanel #2 who is in hell burning and having to pick the food out of the beards of Saddam Hussein with her teeth for all of eternity.

“Yes, there are waterslides, but they’re lined with razor blades and splash down into a pool of boiling pee.”

She tells her former frenemy that she is sorry for all the stuff she did while she was alive and that she is there to make amends because she doesn’t want to be in hell anymore and this is her way out. She also tells her that the others are planning to kill her. Immediately Chanel wakes up and confronts her crew.

They apologize for planning her death, which we all know, is a load of crap. Chanel #6 a.k.a Hester played by Lea Michele is the ringleader. She comes up with the idea to kill Chanel and gets the others to see things her way. She is also the most apologetic when called out about their plan.

Back to Zayday and Grace finding out who is the killer, Pete (who has a huge crush on Grace) joins helping them find out the truth. Which is an issue for Gigi, who we find out has something to do with everything that is happening. She is either one of the killers and or is behind the Red Devils as there are more than likely a few of them. She tells her minions over the phone, to get their stuff together.

“We are murderers hell-bent on revenge. That is our brand.”

And on that note, there’s really all there is to say about this episode. We have five more weeks before we know if our predictions are true, and I am looking forward to finding out the truth. Are you?

‘Being Mary Jane’ 304 Inadequacies Recap

being mary jane 304 2015 imagesThis week on Being Mary Jane, Kara deals with her inadequacies as a mother, Nicey gets a job, and MJ is still reeling from the loss of her best friend.

Kara works hard to keep her world in order, but for whatever reason, she just can’t seem to get her stuff together. After having a wild night of sex with her boyfriend Gael, she wakes up late which causes her to miss her parent/teacher conference with her ex-husband. She’s already pissed about that so it doesn’t help when he tells her that their youngest son may have a math learning disability. She is upset that she’s not able to be there for her boys the way she wants, so she suggests that they stay with her for a while. And her ex-husband agrees.

Back at SNC, Mary Jane has her screen test, but Greg doesn’t think that she is ready and makes her wait another week, which is a no go for MJ. Kara finally shows up, and Mary Jane goes off on her about not being there. Kara put her in her place though because, ya know, she was dealing with her kid, and MJ needs to realize that the world does not revolve around her. Kara tells her to give her some time she will handle it.

Back at the house, Mary Jane continues to find ways to cope with Lisa being gone. Everywhere she turns, there is something in her house that reminds her of late friend. In particular, a piece of mail that MJ has yet to open haunts her. Instead of opening it, she puts it to the side and seeks to drown her sorrows in a nice piece of chocolate in the form of a hunky sidepiece. They get it on so much he tells her that she broke him.

Speaking of broke, that is what Cece is trying to make MJ. After she and her piece of loving get finished going the do, she leaves him for split second so that she can take care of her bill to the woman who is blackmailing her. She meets her in the park and hands over the $5000. Cece then says something to her that sparks MJ to tell her to, “Shut, up, shut up, shut up, you hear me?” She mentioned Lisa and because MJ is so vulnerable right now she is not having it.

Once again, speaking of vulnerable, Kara is just that, especially when having got take care of her boys full time. They have moved into her condo, and she tries to juggle being an active, full-time mom, working, having a love life and it is all getting to her. One scene, in particular, shows just how much Kara is going through. She wants to bake some brownies for her son’s school, to put to rest all the moms who talk about his store bought brownies he usually brings, and she does a good job… at first. Everything is mixed, and she puts it in the oven, only she forgets about them, and they burn to a crisp. Kara literally has a breakdown.

This part of the episode explores the pains and struggles that people with depression who are on meds go through. She goes to Mary Jane’s in the middle of the night and has a meltdown. She talks about not being able to have it all, not being a good mom and wishing that she never had her kids, which sounds harsh but is very real. She begs MJ to make the brownies for her because she just can’t pull it together. Which is clear because she collapses in her friend’s arms weeping uncontrollably. How many of us have been there? MJ comes through and makes the brownies for her.

The next day, after Kara sends her kids off to school when she gets to work, she finds Marisol speaking to Greg about some ideas that she has for the segment. Kara is not happy about it and pulls the young Latina out of her meeting. “Me and you have a problem, and I don’t like problems.” She goes off on Marisol and calls her out for sleeping with Greg, which she denies. Kara tells her to run stuff by her and don’t go trying to change things.

Mary Jane keeps herself occupied at her house and by occupied I mean still sexing her sidepiece. They have a skinny dipping session in the pool when Nicey shows up. MJ was supposed to help her with her resume and forgot all about it. She gets out of the pool to help her niece.

The next day, Nicey goes on her interview, and the girl asking her questions is condescending and judgmental. Nicey senses this and tells her that her company needs her more than she needs to work there. The lady mentions that she was late, and Nicey tells her “I am a mother, and I was late.” She gets up and leaves.

In the end, MJ confronts Cece about what she’s been doing with her money. Apparently she has bought a bookstore. Cece tells her that she is a survivor when MJ accuses her of being a fraud. She tells her that she needs to stop talking about Jesus and “my blessing” because what she’s doing is wrong but Cecilia disagrees.

Kara breaks up with her boyfriend for the sake of being there completely for her children and even offers to move back in with her ex-husband to be a full-time mom and to save money. He reluctantly agrees.

Finally, MJ opens the mail from Lisa, which is an invitation from her to join her on one of her charity trips. She breaks down crying on the kitchen floor, and her sidepiece comes and comforts her. After she pulls herself together, she joins him on her patio for a cigar and Whiskey a combination he tells her always brings peace to his life.

There were some breakthroughs on this episode, which can only lead to more in the weeks to come.

Hassan Whiteside NBA 2K Rating Rising Quickly After Hot Start to Season

0

hassan whiteside nba 2k rating rising 2015 imagesMiami Heat center Hassan Whiteside was one of 50 players with an 80+ rating in NBA 2K16, but after a red-hot 15.8 PPG, 11 RPG, 62.8 percent shooting start to the 2015-2016 NBA season, you have to ask if 81 was too low.

You know Whiteside is asking the same thing.

“I’m just really trying to get my NBA 2K rating up,” said Whiteside famously after recording a triple-double including 12 blocks in a win over the Chicago Bulls last season. Whiteside also tweeted out his thanks to the video game after discovering his rating for this season.

But all jokes aside, Whiteside is doing all the right things to become the next superstar in the NBA. No, he’s not there yet by any means, but he’s definitely on the right path, and he has the supporting cast to make it there.

“He was just saying, ‘Keep working,’” Whiteside recalled from his conversation with current Heat executive and Hall of Fame center Alonzo Mourning. “He was just talking about coming in and just putting in the hard work every single day.”

Whiteside definitely understands the need to put in work. He wouldn’t be where he is today if he hadn’t been grinding for years.

Whiteside played his college ball at Marshall University where it didn’t take long before he gained national attention as a shot blocker and dominant big man. After one season in college, Whiteside was the 3rd pick in the 2nd round of the 2010 NBA by the Sacramento Kings.

A couple of assignments to and recalls from the NBA D-League and a knee injury later, Whiteside was waived by the Kings in 2012 in what looked to be likely the end of his NBA basketball career.

But Hassan never quit. He kept the dream alive by bouncing around the D-League, eventually going to Lebanon and then China. The Memphis Grizzlies picked him up at two different points in 2014, but that didn’t last long, and Whiteside found himself back in the D-League both times after being cut.

Finally, the Miami Heat came along. The team signed Whiteside on November 24, 2014, assigning him to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the D-League a few weeks later only to recall him in two days. Then, on January 4, 2015, in a game against the Brooklyn Nets, Whiteside stunned the league with 11 points, ten rebounds, and five blocks—his first NBA double-double.

The rest is history. Since then, he has continued to leave it all on the court, and the name Hassan Whiteside has started to become a household name amongst NBA fans. The crazy part is he’s still got a lot of room to grow. Whiteside is using Heat legends as role models to get there.

“He basically told me, ‘This is how I used to get a lot of lobs to Shaq,’” said Whiteside, recalling a conversation he had with Dwayne Wade, who won the 2006 NBA Championship with the help of the great Shaquille O’Neal. “I just kind of listened to that and try to do it that way. It’s crazy. I remember watching them in high school. Now I’m playing with him. Who didn’t watch Shaq and D-Wade? I was practicing on a little hoop outside, but it’s crazy that it’s actually happening.”

You could definitely draw a lot of comparisons between Whiteside’s style and that of Shaq, but he has a long way to go before he even deserves to be mentioned with the Big Diesel.

Whiteside is shooting 76.3 percent from the field through the first four game of this season—the best start of any player since 1986. It’s a little ridiculous to expect him to maintain that, but if he can stay above 60 percent for the season, keep those rebounds above 10, and maintain Dikembe Mutombo-level blocks, then I have no problem talking about him as one of the top 15-20 players in the league today.

Net Neutrality that Zucks

0

net neutrality that zucks 2015 tech imagesWhat does net neutrality have to do with selling fish? Hardly anything really, unless you could get into Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg’s head. But getting there could be dangerous territory as in his head, there’s such a thing as too much net neutrality. There is? In his latest conference at the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, he compared having too much net neutrality to a guy selling fish in his local village.

“…It is possible to take net neutrality ‘too far’… If there’s a fisherman in the village who now has access to the Internet to sell some of his fish and provide for his family, no one gets hurt by that. That’s good…”

–Mark Zuckerberg, New York Times Interview

Pretty deep really. This author’s still trying to wrap his head around it. But aside from the fish, he’s thinking about a limited form of net neutrality with regards to his venture, Internet.org. A venture that provides free internet access for the poor, to places where the bandwidth makes you imagine hearing the squeaking and squawking of old modems. It’s a cool, even noble idea of giving access to the internet to people whose main priority is to simply get three meals a day. News and information matters too that could empower them and improve their lives.

But at the down and dirty business end of the venture, Internet.org otherwise known as Free Basics, is about signing up that large percentage of people who don’t have access to the internet. That’s a huge number of people signing up to a stripped-down version of Facebook in countries like India and other parts of the world with less than 3G access. It’s about the expansion of influence to that elusive percentage known as the poor. It’s about throwing a few text-based ads along the way. It’s also about signing up websites that meet a certain criteria. Internet.org is a venture between Facebook and other tech companies which include Samsung, Ericsson, MediaTek, Opera Software, Nokia, and Qualcomm. They partner with their host country’s telecoms providers to give affordable access to selected internet services such as Wikipedia, news, weather and other general information. But isn’t the idea of net neutrality supposed to be about getting past access to content and bandwidth boundaries?

Internet.org does get past bandwidth boundaries by giving internet access to people with minuscule bandwidths. But if Mark Zuckerberg does support net neutrality, the selectivity of Internet.org as many critics say betrays the idea. The site basically acts as a web portal with links to the services it has selected and is open to websites that meet a certain criteria. It’s an internet but not ‘the’ internet and not every website can enter thus violating net neutrality.

It surely does. It’s basically like a walled-garden app store for the poor. Internet services willing to participate will have to pass through any criteria laid down by Facebook and its other partners. But Zuckerberg’s defense, he launched the Internet.Org Platform that will enable developers of websites to connect to internet.org, still with some criteria to follow:

  • Explore the entire internet (show the potential of the internet, give users a taste of what’s out there)
  • Must have data efficiency or must be able to give out as much data as they can in limited bandwidth
  • Be able to be used on a wide variety of screen sizes especially on older, less advanced mobile devices and must not be dependent on HTTPS and Javascript.

After showing everyone a gate and a few house rules, Mark can’t exactly be accused of holding out on anyone. But Internet.Org still has the final say, after all, gardens still need to be curated, trimmed, pruned and weeded out. There can’t be too much freedom, too much net neutrality in the garden otherwise; it would be anarchy and chaos much like the real internet. Besides, Internet.Org is a scaled down, stripped down web portal for the poor and not everything can fit in there.

Also, the concept of it as a preview or lite version of the internet, its push or its goal to usher people to the real internet, to entice with a carrot, is still similar to denying people access. That they would eventually need to pay to have real access, get Netflix or HD quality movies and images. Lossless music or high-quality MP3 instead of MIDI. If you’re really sincere about giving everyone a free and net neutral internet, then build the infrastructure and somehow give the poor people a shot. Something along the lines of a free public school digital library or public internet café for poor kids to do research.

But, the whole thing is after all, his idea. It’s Mark’s vision of a free or more affordable, internet and whether it’s net neutral or not, credit is due for his effort in giving the little folks a taste of what’s out there. Providing the internet to countries that are even alien to the concept of net neutrality, where net neutrality doesn’t really matter or cannot be applied. In such cases, net neutrality can take a back seat for a while as far as Mark’s concerned as long as more people get connected and later yearn to share what they’re having for lunch with the world.

Scott Disick Quiet Rehab & Justin Bieber Appendage Talk & Selena Gomez

scott disick quiet rehab 2015 gossipWhile Lamar Odom has been the subject of many media headlines over the past few weeks, Scott Disick has managed to escape the press and has been living a relatively private life since entering rehab.

Scott entered rehab the same day that Lamar was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel, due to a drug overdose. He has been in the facility for about three weeks, as he seeks treatment for his drug and alcohol abuse. Reportedly, Disick decided to enter rehab, as he wanted to turn his life around and lead a better lifestyle for his three young kids – Mason, Penelope and Reign.

A source close to the star tells E! News, “Scott’s doing really well. He sounds happy, clean, and clearheaded.”

The source went on to explain “I think [Scott] took it really seriously this time. He took a real break from work and partying to focus on himself. He hasn’t sounded this good in ages. He says he’s feeling great.”

scott disick reahab 2015 gossipEarly in the summer, Kourtney Kardashian broke up with Scott after being together for over nine years. This split followed the surfacing of pictures of Scott partying and cuddling up to another woman while on vacation.

This is Scott’s fourth time in rehab. However, in the past Scott only stayed in the rehab facilities for a very short period of time and was quick to fall into his unhealthy habits as soon as he got out. Reports claim that both friends and family of Scott have been urging him to seek treatment, but it wasn’t until Lamar’s scary situation occurred that he actually decided to take action.

justin bieber talks appendage and selna gomez 2015 gossipJustin Bieber stars in a new article with Billboard magazine. In the piece, Justin explains how he is trying to repent his troublesome past. He said, “enough with the Justin Bieber Show. I want to veer away from the self-centered attitude. I’m just focused on the people who have been there since the start, on people who are taking the journey now. I want to feel like we’re doing this together.”

Justin is releasing a new album titled Purpose, as his comeback from multiple incidents that wound up earning him the title of spoiled brat. Over the past few years, Justin has been arrested for DUI, charged with vandalism and even faced a public petition begging the US government to deport him back to his home country of Canada.

He reflects on this past, saying, “It might seem awesome from the outside, but I’m struggling. Certain things broke my trust with people…I felt like people were judging me all the time. I came out alive. I came out swinging. But, I was close to letting [fame] completely destroy me.”

Justin also discusses his now infamous nude picture scandal that happened a few weeks ago. Justin explained, “ I do feel the photo was an invasion of my privacy. I felt super violated. My dad made light of it, but I don’t think that’s sick and twisted. It was funny…Dads are going to be dads.”

Of course, the magazine got a few comments out of the young pop star on his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Bieber said, “I’m proud of the woman [Selena] is today. When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it’s a love that never really dies.”

‘Empire’ 206 High Hopes For A Low Heaven Recap

empire 206 high hopes for a low heaven 2015 images cookieEmpire returned this week after a one-week hiatus, and it picked right back up from where it started- Hakeem is still missing.

But before I get to that, let’s talk about the ass Becky gets in the opening of the show. And I am not just talking about some sympathy “Oh, big girls need love too” kind of ass. I’m talking about fine, chocolate, mmm, mmm good ass. Yes, Becky gets it on, and while I question her hair color and style weekly, the girl got my vote for repping for the big girls. Now, back to Hakeem

Who, as I said, is still kidnapped but that’s okay cause momma and daddy are to the rescue. Even though momma accused daddy of kidnapping their baby. They get past it. After Cookie and Lucious come together to deliver the $40,000 the kidnappers demanded, they get their son back, but all is not well with the baby Lyon as he is not in the van when it pulls up. The driver tells them that he wanted to get out so he let him go and they, along with the whole world, want to know why the hell he did that. Scene switch to Hakeem stumbling down the street to Anika’s who is just coming in from a run and telling her mother, over the phone, how her life is ruined.  She and Hakeem get it on. Hmmm, is their love triangle back?

Speaking of “back,” the guys who took Keem have these big ole bull-head tattoos dab smack in the middle of their backs, which comes in handy to know later on in the episode. Yes, I’m going to tell you why. Hakeem also sees the tattoo.

At Empire, while mom and dad save the day, Andre shows everybody on his team, in hopes of showing his dad, who’s the boss at Gutter Life. He pulls a list of all the Gutter Life artists and wants to meet with each of them. Which he does.

What we find out here is that the chocolate piece of candy that Becky was screwing is a Gutter Life artist named J-Poppa and the only artist on the label that catches Dre’s eye. Which has everything to do with the fact that his name is Job, is a pastor’s kid and can quote scripture.

Jamal spends some time in the studio with his dad who directs him on a new song. He gives him some pointers, and while he does, Jamal complains to his dad that the Staples Center told him, in his words, that he’s too gay to fill their venue and passed on his concert. Just then, a man named Jameson Henthrop that Lucious despises comes into the studio. Jamal is happy to see him but Lucious is not. Apparently back in the day when Lu left his old record company, he was going to work with Jameson but didn’t because he’s gay. Sigh, ok Lucious ever the homophobe. Mmmm, that’s kind of played out now Lee Daniels. I’m just saying.

Hakeem is having a hard time readjusting, and there’s two reasons why. First of all, he can’t really hear out of one of his ears. This causes trouble for him when practicing with the girl group. He actually goes off and blames them for not being able to get his cue.  The other thing wrong with him, which explains his rage, is that he feels like he went out like a punk when the kidnappers beat him up. He didn’t fight back or anything. He tells his brothers about it, right after speaking to his dad who told him he’s not a man, and they make him feel better. In fact, he feels so great after his brother’s pep talk that he goes on stage and much to Lucious’ consternation, he gets through his performance with the girl group on stage, with the help of Laura. Why Lu has to be pulling for his kids to fail is beyond me.

Which brings me to Andre’s artist showcase. J Poppa performs, and the crowd goes crazy. He is hot, sexy and Becky is watching for him. As he performs, he quotes scripture, which is a total turn off to Lucious and Becky. Then Freda Gatz or Bre-Z, who is super corny, like I don’t believe her hardness, which just comes off as… corny gets on stage. She “kills” it, but not everyone thinks so. A heckler calls her out during the performance, but she continues rapping. He keeps saying stuff and she kicks him in his nose then runs up on him and punches him. Her “crew” gets her out, and Dre is livid. He tells his dad that she’s off Gutter Life’s roster, and Lucious tells him no way. “You put me in charge of this record label,” Dre tells his dad and then Lu says one of his coldest lines this season.

“I put you in place, don’t confuse the two.”

In the end, Cookie tries to get an understanding of everything and in doing so, leans on Alex. They end up having sex but wait, what do we find out here when he takes off his shirt? He is a part of the group that kidnapped Hakeem as he has one of the bull-head tattoos in the middle of his back.

Thanks to the previews for next we, it’s confirmed that he is in on a scheme to extort Cookie and the family for a lot more than a booker’s tour fee.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ 907 Leonard Nimoy Tribute Recap

big bang theory 907 leonard nemoy tribute 2015 imagesOn this week’s episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” Sheldon got a text message from Wil Wheaton that said he was working on a documentary about the impact Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy) has had on culture. Bernadette told Howard to pause his video game so she could talk to him about redecorating the house.

Sheldon left a message on Amy’s cell that he was being used in a Mr. Spock documentary. Then Wil Wheaton arrived at the apartment with Leonard Nimoy’s son. Back at Howard and Bernadette’s house, Bernadette said that she would compromise because she wanted to redecorate the house and Howard didn’t want her to. He wanted to preserve his mother’s memory by leaving everything the way she had it. She suggested redoing one room in the house, but Howard objected to her remodeling the kitchen or bathroom.

Back at Sheldon’s apartment, Leonard Nimoy’s son Adam interviewed Sheldon. He said hat he admired Spock because his home planet was all about logic rather than emotions. During the interview, Sheldon pointed out Penny as being the one who gave him a napkin with her autograph on it. Sheldon then opened a safe in the wall of the living room that neither Penny nor Leonard knew about.

Bernadette invited her father over to her and Howard’s house, and Howard wanted Raj to help convince both of them the house shouldn’t be remodeled. Bernadette said her dad would remodel the house for free.

Sheldon then showed Adam a napkin that Leonard had autographed. Penny asked Sheldon what else was in his safety deposit box. Penny then saw a ring box and asked Sheldon why he had it. That was when Sheldon admitted he had gotten it to propose to Amy. While being filmed for the documentary Sheldon told stories of his childhood related to Mr. Spock. Penny said Sheldon has feelings like everyone else, but he denied it. He got upset and walked off camera and left the room.

At the house, Bernadette’s father and Howard went into a crawl space under the house. They got to talking about kids, and Bernadette’s father said she had told him Howard didn’t want kids. Bernadette was in the dining room and heard what they said.

Sheldon said he was going to find Amy and ask her to marry him. When he spotted her outside her building, she was kissing another man. Sheldon saw her doing it and turned around and left. Sheldon went home and watched a Star Trek movie. He told Leonard he had been foolish for idolizing Spock for having no emotions.

Bernadette told her dad and Howard that she said Howard didn’t want kids because she didn’t want to disappoint her dad.  He told her raising kids is a great experience, and she accused him of making her mother do everything when Bernadette was growing up. Howard told Bernadette that since his dad had left him he had wanted to grow up to be a great dad.

‘Survivor Second Chance’ 3107 Adios Chaos Cass

survivor second chance 3107 adios chaos cass 2015 imagesOn this week’s episode of “Survivor Second Chance,” at the Ta Keo camp; Andrew said his fellow tribe members were liars, and he thought he was better at reading people. He said he felt Kass betrayed him, but he wouldn’t go down without a fight. He said if he had to act like a wimp to win the game he would. Spencer said Savage felt guilty because he got caught trying to blindside him. He also said he has to rely on Kass this time, even though he hadn’t in the past.

The Bayon tribe was told to wait for visitors to come to their camp. They were given a map to what would be their new home in the game. Andrew said he wanted the two tribes to merge so he could go back to his Bayon brothers. When the two tribes got to their new home, there was a letter telling them they had been merged into the Orkun tribe. Kelley said this time she made it into the merge, and she was excited about it. Kass said she felt like Spencer trusts her because she has supported him and not lied to him; she also saved him at last week’s tribal council.

Andrew said he was happy to be back with his Bayon friends. He also said Wigglesworth seemed trustworthy, and he wanted her to be one of them. Kelley said she wanted to talk to Joe and Spencer because they were power players in the game. Andrew said it was critical for him to reconnect with Joe face to face.

Kelley said she wanted to check and see if Spencer wanted to work with her. Spencer and Joe talked about who was aligned with who. Tasha said she felt like Kass was fishing for information when she talked to her. She said the first time she went home because of Kass and she wasn’t going to let it happen again.

Kass said she was ready to rumble with Tasha. She said the original Bayon tribe was going to be running the game. Tasha told Kass she didn’t trust her because that is what she learned the first time around, but Kass said Tasha played right into her hands. Andrew said he would never go after Joe.

For this week’s immunity challenge, they had to move down a beam while balancing a ball. It came down to Joe or Spencer to win individual immunity this week. Joe won the week’s immunity at tribal council.

Joe said he had been put in a position where he and Spencer were big swing votes in the game. Andrew said he had wanted to win immunity to prove he could compete against his younger tribe mates. He also said he wanted Ciera gone from the game and that he didn’t trust her, and she was super dangerous. Andrew called Ciera public enemy #1.  Joe said Kass was ruthless and haphazard and that scared him. Spencer said he wanted to save Kass but wasn’t sure if he could. Keith said Kass stirred up a lot of bickering, and he’d be happy to let her go home. Kass said if she could get enough people to vote with her Tasha would be gone. Spencer said it was up to him who went home that night, and he had never been in that position before.

At tribal council Ciera said the season had been crazy so far. Kass said Tasha was causing chaos and Tasha denied it. Ciera said you never wanted to be involved in chaos in this game. Spencer said it was an easy vote, but Ciera said that wasn’t true.

Votes were then cast, and Jeff tallied them. He then announced that Kass was being sent home but would become the first member of the Survivor jury.

Fantasy Football Start & Sit NFL Week 9: Eli Manning & Ronnie Hillman

fantasy football start sit week 9 eli manning 2015 nfl imagesThe Cincinnati Bengals remained perfect against the Cleveland Browns to kick off Week 9. Johnny Manziel did his best, but Mike Pettine still managed to screw everything up after halftime.

Anyway, go set your lineups. Or if you have Matt Forte, Steve Smith Sr, and Kendall Wright like me, just chalk this week up as an L and move on. Either way, here’s a few players to think about in your fantasy leagues and Draft Kings games:

Start—Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants: Eli may have been out-shined by Drew Brees last week, but if you played or played against him you definitely remember the 350 yards and six touchdowns he tossed against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.

The Saints defense is a great matchup for any QB, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers shouldn’t put up much resistance to the two-time Super Bowl MVP either. I mean, Matt Ryan, Kirk Cousins, and Blake Bortles all did well against the Bucs, so Eli better.

Last time Manning played the Bucs he threw for 510 yards and three touchdowns. It may not be 50 fantasy points again, but no owner would complain to see that stat line from their quarterback.

Sit—Frank Gore, RB, Indianapolis Colts: Gore had 92 total yards this past Monday against the Carolina Panthers on more touches than he’s seen all season. Normally this would be a good thing, but on the other hand that was the third game in a row where he failed to reach double-digits for fantasy owners.

And there’s the whole short week heading into a matchup with the number one defense in the NFL. That’s usually not an attractive start. The Denver Broncos may have given up seven rushing touchdowns this season, but only Jamaal Charles and Adrian Peterson have been able to get past 45 yards against Wade Philips’ scheme.

And let’s be honest, do you really trust Andrew Luck to set Gore up in a position to score this week?

Novak Djokovic Moves Forward At 2015 Paris Masters

novak djokovic moves forward at paris masters 2015 tennis imagesTennis fans watching the third round of the 2015 Paris Masters saw completion on Thursday. Eight matches were featured in the men’s draw, a round where the final unseeded players were eliminated from the tournament. The third round also marked the end of Roger Federer’s 2015 Paris Masters campaign as the Swiss Maestro suffered an upset.

Here are all the line scores from Thursday:

Singles – Third Round

[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) d [14] Gilles Simon (FRA) 63 75
[2] Andy Murray (GBR) d [16] David Goffin (BEL) 61 60
[13] John Isner (USA) d [3] Roger Federer (SUI) 76(3) 36 76(5)
[4] Stan Wawrinka (SUI) d Viktor Troicki (SRB) 64 75
[5] Tomas Berdych (CZE) d [9] Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) 63 64
[10] Richard Gasquet (FRA) d [6] Kei Nishikori (JPN) 76(3) 41 Ret. (side)
[7] Rafael Nadal (ESP) d [11] Kevin Anderson (RSA) 46 76(6) 62 – Saved 1 M.P.
[8] David Ferrer (ESP) d Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) 67(4) 61 64

In regard to the Federer ‘upset,’ I don’t know that a lot should be read into it. Firstly, Isner only won the match by the minimum and the American entered the third round in Paris a lot better rested than his counterpart. Federer, as his fans will recall, won ATP Basel last week; he had to be feeling some effects from playing so much tennis in a short period of time. Accordingly, he should be as tough as ever when the ATP World Tour Finals roll around in mid-November.

Andy Murray, with a straight sets victory that only included one lost game against David Goffin, is certainly looking great to make the Paris final. Novak Djokovic remains the outright tournament favorite however, as he dispatched of Gilles Simon.

Kei Nishikori, a player who has not been at 100% for a little while now, is looking for questionable. His retirement to Richard Gasquet has to be concerning for those looking forward to him competing in London later this month. Nishikori’s injury is suspected to be a neck one, according to IBN Live.

Friday’s matches from Paris are below, with the Nadal/Wawrinka contest being one to watch.

COURT CENTRAL start 2:00 p.m.

[10] Richard Gasquet (FRA) vs. [2] Andy Murray (GBR)
[8] David Ferrer (ESP) vs. [13] John Isner (USA)

Not Before 7:30 pm
[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. [5] Tomas Berdych (CZE)

Not Before 8:30 pm
[4] Stan Wawrinka (SUI) vs. [7] Rafael Nadal (ESP)

Spirit Airlines Racism Claims & K Michelle Taking It Down

Spirit Airlines has got some people talking, K Michelle is getting her natural figure back and Love & Hip Hop Hollywooders beef it up on Twitter.

spirit airlines racist 2015 gossip

Is Spirit Airlines Racist?

I am going to be honest here if you fly Spirit Airlines, you kind of deserve what you get. They have horrible service, they charge you for every single thing, even to print a boarding pass or carry on luggage.  With that, while it is a “get what you pay for” kind of airline, does that mean it’s okay for them to single out a particular race? No.

That’s what seven black passengers who were removed from an LAX flight are saying. They believe that they were discriminated against because they are black. As the story goes, one of the male passengers of the group was approached by a flight attendant who accused him of being rowdy and being a threat and asked him to get off. The couple he was with were also told to deplane as well, and they said no. LAX police were then called, and the couple cooperated. They got off of the plane and took another flight.

About five other “African Americans” felt a certain kind of way, obviously, as became “disruptive” according to a report by ABC Seven News and they were asked to leave as well. They had to take another light leaving the next day.

According to one of the passengers kicked off the plane, Alexandra Wright, she feels all the black people on the plane were singled out.

“A man was sitting in the wrong seat, so he and the woman were supposed to switch seats, but they decided that they wanted to sit together. The flight attendant overheard the conversation… came over and was just making nasty remarks…”

There are a few sides to the story of course but from what it looks like, this is yet another reason, for black folks at least, to forgo the discounted airlines and opt for better all around service someplace else.

Here’s something rich. K. Michelle, the reality TV star singer known more for her antics than her talent, has let the whole world know that she plans to get a but REDUCTION. Huh?

The singer told B. Scott of LoveBScott.com “I want my normal shape back.” K. Michelle is proud of her shape, apparently, but still wants to, once again, change her appearance and she’s trying to convince us that it has something to do with furthering her career. Um, I’m sorry, I thought that’s what the ass implants were originally supposed to do so I’m confused.

“I have like movies and different things I’m working on, and I was having a real conversation with Tyrese — we’re really like great friends. I was telling him about my butt, how I hate being type cast because my bottom is so heavy — not saying I don’t love myself, but…you know.”

No K. I don’t know. She goes on further to say,

“For me, and my career right now, and me doing business — like really being on the frontline in business — I don’t need to have a man looking down at my ass when I’m trying to talk numbers. I don’t need to not be able to get the role. Like, I wanna be in Jurassic Park!  Let me be in Jurassic Park! I don’t need to not be able to run through Jurassic Park because my ass is too heavy.”

Well, at least she has a plan right?

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Cast Members Go at it on Twitter

Looks like we have another beef with the stars of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. Moniece Slaughter and Shanda Denyce, the newcomer to the west coast franchise, had some words via Instagram. It probably has everything to do with the fact that Shanda has gone back to stripping as of the latest LHHH episode. According to Desginandtrend.com Shanda fired back at Moniece.

“Moniece, Moniece, weak ass Moniece… Don’t tag me in a post and delete it coward bitch. See me, I’m a strong woman that takes care of hers by any means…oh and my relationship with my mom is great. See you should work on being a mother before coming with the bull…”

Apparently Moniece said something about her return to the strip pole calling her a prostitute.

“Definitely not a coward… Left it just long enough for you to get it. Don’t have your number or I would have called you. I’m back in town now bitch, and you’re in my city. You’re not hard to find. I’ll see you soon without security, without the cameras. Until then be well, doll.”

Honestly, Shanda can’t be mad. The chick went back to stripping behind her HUSBAND’s back. She can’t throw shade because someone called her out for her behavior. I’m just saying.

Kobe Bryant ‘Freaking Sucks’ at Basketball: LA Lakers Drop First Four

0

Guess who’s back! That’s right, fresh off another season-long injury, Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is back on the court—and, somehow, he seems to be making the Lakers worse. Hard to believe, I know. The Lakers are really bad. Like Charles Barkley said, “The Lakers are the fourth best team in California. They lucky the Sparks ain’t playing, they’d be fifth.” But it’s true. Everyone complained when Kobe was ranked towards the bottom of all NBA players preseason, but he’s certainly playing like it. He looks horrible. This is not the Black Mamba. This is the coat of skin that the real Mamba shed. At least he isn’t making excuses. “I just can’t make a shot,” said Bryant. “I’m just playing like sh*t right now…I suck right now, dude. I’m the 200th best player in the league right now. I freaking suck.” His play is making it very difficult to disagree with him. Through four games this season, the Lakers are winless, and Bryant is shooting a pitiful 32 percent from the field and 20 percent from beyond the arc. He may have air-balled more shots than he’s made so far this season. Nonetheless, LeBron James came to the aid of his fellow star. “What I see is a challenge to himself,” said LeBron. “It has zero to do with his age. Zero. I think at one point in my career, in my 20s, I felt like I sucked. It’s all a personal challenge.” I have a hard time believing that being 37 and coming off a string of serious season-ending injuries isn’t having any sort of impact on Kobe’s play this season. Who knows, maybe he is just rusty, but until he figures it out we’ll be stuck watching him throw up bricks. “He’ll figure it out,” said head coach Byron Scott. “Kobe is the last person that I worry about.” The way things are looking right now, Scott won’t have a job by midseason anyways. Maybe the interim head coach will have the balls to bench Kobe—or maybe he’ll actually turn things around and make the most of (presumably) his last season.
