Premier League Game Week 35 Review: Chelsea crowned Premier League champions

chelsea blues beat crystal palace premier league 2015

The Chelsea Blues have clinched their fifth English league title after a 1 – 0 win over Crystal Palace. This Premier League title will be Jose Mourinho’s eighth league triumph across Europe. The Portuguese boss has won two title with Porto, two in Italy at Inter, one with Real Madrid and three with Chelsea in England. For other top teams the title is gone but the fight for Champions League places is still on.

Just a minute before the half-time break, Eden Hazard’s penalty against Crystal Palace was saved but the Belgian headed-in the rebound and allowed his side to amass an unattainable tally of 83 points this season. The West Londoners celebrated at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday and they can now play more freely in the remaining three fixtures.

In the post match interview after the match against the Eagles, Mourinho said: “I could choose another club in another country where it is easier to be champion but I chose the most difficult league in Europe where I was happy before.

“In my country, Portugal, we say don’t go back to where you were happy before because it is a risk.

“But I have taken that risk and I’m so happy because I won another Premier League 10 years later in my second spell. To win titles with two generations, 10 years apart, I feel I have a place in Chelsea’s history.

The 52-year-old feels that his side has done everything to show they were the best in England this season and the criticisms against them are unfair.

“I think we showed everything football demands from a team since day one. We have had fantastic attacking football, fantastic domination, high possession, low possession and defended amazingly well.

“There is a saying in my country for the ones that have big faces and say we don’t deserve it – ‘the dogs bark and the caravan goes by’. They may not say but they know.”

arsenal beats hull city premier league 2015

Arsenal and Manchester City are battling hard for the second place finish. The Gunners are third on the league table but they have a game in hand. Pellegrini’s City were dethroned on Sunday and they can even lose out on the runners-up spot as Wenger’s men are showing no signs of slowing down. Arsenal won 1 – 3 against Steve Bruce’s Hull City on Monday. The Citizens held on to Aguero’s 29th minute strike and returned from White Hart Lane with three points.

Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United lost their third match in a row, thereby giving up on the top three finish. Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool are slowly catching up and there is just a four point gap between the two rivals. The Merseyside giants face the newly crowned champions at the Stamford Bridge at the weekend. Man United can’t afford more slip-ups, although, one can expect Chelsea to beat Liverpool at home. If Liverpool lose and United win this weekend, all the places in the top four would be sealed.

Burnley and QPR lost at the weekend and their relegation seems inevitable now. But Burnley can damage Hull City’s chances of staying in the English top division as there is a massive fixture lined-up for this Saturday. Hull, Sunderland, Leicester, Newcastle and Villa are in the mix for taking up the third and final relegation spot. A lot of changes can happen over the course of next three games and we can expect an exciting finish to the 2014/15 season.

Preview: Bayern Munich vs Barcelona: Champions League semi-final

Pep Guardiola makes his first return to Camp Nou Champions League 2015 since his departure in 2012. It will be an emotional fixture for the former Barcelona coach as he will face the team which he led a few years ago in arguably the most successful era in the club’s history.

Guardiola’s career at the Catalan club both as a player and a manager has been sensational. But it will be interesting to see how the 44-year-old will march his new team against the legends he created in Spain. Guardiola is wary of the threat Messi will impose on Wednesday and he has labeled the Argentine as “unstoppable”.

“There is not a system or coach to stop talent of Messi’s magnitude,” the Bayern Munich boss said.

“The way he has been playing over the past four or five months, you cannot stop him. He is too good.

He added: “Barca is a very important part of my life. Until now it was everything but I am here to win. I am not here for a homage but to see Bayern through to the final.”

Guardiola knows most of Barcelona’s playing eleven from his days at the helm at Barcelona. Hence, we can expect him to line-up his new team based on the inside knowledge and flaws of his opponents.

Guardiola’s former teammate and now the coach of Barca, Luis Enrique claimed that the semi-final against Bayern would be much bigger than Pep vs Barcelona. In his pre-match conference, Enrique said, “We aren’t going into this as a game against Pep.

He added: “He is the number one for what he has achieved and he’s a friend, but this is such an important game for all Barca fans that it should be more important than any specific people.

“It’s nice for the players to meet Guardiola again, but they know that this game is more important than just that. Guardiola knows most of our players but I don’t think that will be decisive. There are many other factors.”

Ahead of the crucial first leg in Spain, Barca stalwart Leo Messi had a few words too. The diminutive Argentine claimed that both Guardiola and Barca players know each other well, so the ball can fall in anyone’s court after the first leg. It will Messi’s 100th European appearance on Wednesday.

“He was with us for a long time and we had the luck to win many titles and experience important moments. He is a coach that studies everything, ” Lionel Messi said.

“It is the same for both sides. Pep knows us very well and we know what he asks of his players. It is 50-50, we both know each other very well.”

He also revealed that they are still hurt by the 7-0 aggregate defeat at the hands of German champions in the Champions League semi-finals of 2013.

“That hurt a lot, but a lot of time has passed,” said the Argentina forward. “We come into the game differently, as do they, and it will be a different tie to that one.”

Manuel Neuer will be in goal against Messi on Wednesday and the German goalkeeper has vowed to show who’s the boss on the pitch.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner said: “I have a lot of respect for Messi and for everything that he has achieved. He is very humble, but it’s crucial to show authority when we meet on the pitch and show him who’s boss. I did the same in the World Cup final and this worked out pretty well.

Barcelona possible starting lineup:
Ter Stegen; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Suarez, Messi, Neymar.

Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:
Neuer; Bernat, Benatia, Boateng, Rafinha; Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Alonso; Thiago, Gotze; Muller

Exhausted Andy Murray Quickly Pushes Into 2015 Madrid Open Quarter-finals

exhausted andy murray pushes into 2015 madrid open quarter finals

Andy Murray can see why Novak Djokovic took a pass on the 2015 Madrid Open to rest up for the 2015 French Open. Murray barely had time to recover from his win in the twilight hours on Thursday to quickly take out Spanish wildcard Marcel Granollers moving him into the quarter-finals.

Andy Murray kept alive his chances of lifting a 10th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophy on Thursday by booking a spot in the Mutua Madrid Openquarter-finals.

Second seed Murray, the 2008 titlist in Madrid when the event was played on hard courts, swept past wild card Marcel Granollers 6-2, 6-0 in 64 minutes.

Murray has now reached the quarter-finals (or better) in 16 of his past 17 tournaments.

A “very tired” Murray said he had to “bluff” Granollers.

“If they want to see top players playing the best tennis, don’t play at three o’clock in the morning,” he said.

“I wanted to try and start the match with as much energy as possible, and if I could, get off to a lead early,” said Murray. “Obviously, he played a very long match yesterday [versus Gael Monfils], so I felt like if I could get ahead that I would be able to use that momentum well. It would also give me a bit of a lift really.”

Murray broke the Spaniard in the fourth and eighth games of the opening set, before breaking a further three times in the second set.

The number two seed, who won the title in 2008, fought back from 0-40 down on his opponent’s serve in the final game to seal victory.

On Monday, the Scot captured the 32nd title of his career by winning against Philipp Kohlschreiber in the rain-delayed BMW Open by FWU AG final. The pair met two days later in the Madrid second round.

Milos Raonic will challenge Murray on Friday after the fifth seed struck 11 aces in a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Leonardo Mayer in 72 minutes. Raonic has a 3-2 FedEx ATP Head2Head record against Murray.

“I got through this one fairly quickly,” added the Scot, who completed his win in 64 minutes. “Hopefully, I’ll play a good match in the quarters.”

Earlier, Rafael Nadal remained on course for a third successive Madrid title following a 6-2 6-2 win over unseeded Italian Simone Bolelli.

The Spanish third seed will now face Bulgarian 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter-finals.

“Yeah, everything worries me about Dimitrov,” Nadal said of the player who defeated eighth-seeded Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6 (7-5) 3-6 6-3.

“He’s a very good player. He serves well, very good forehand. Backhand, too. Slice also.”

Sixth-seed Czech Tomas Berdych is also in the last eight after a 7-5 6-2 victory over Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

Berdych will play United States player John Isner, who defeated Roger Federer’s conqueror Nick Kyrgios 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 6-4.

Chris Brown Instagrams His Birthday Surprise

chris brown finds amira ayeb in his home waiting 2015

Well, it has been some kind of week for singer Chris Brown! Earlier in the week the performer was accused of assaulting someone during a basketball game in Vega. Lucky for him, his rep confirmed the accusations were not true. Adding to the possibility Brown was innocent, the man he allegedly assaulted decided not to press charges. At his birthday bash Brown ended up falling off the stage.

Just when we thought his week couldn’t get any crazier, Brown came home Wednesday night to find a strange naked woman sleeping in his bed! He was away from home celebrating his birthday in Vegas for the past two days before returning to his California home in Agoura Hills. Upon entering the house, Brown found Amira Ayeb crashing at his place.

What kind of security system does he have? How does a woman camp inside of a millionaire’s house for a few days without anyone noticing? I mean does he not have any cameras or alarms in his house? This situation is both perplexing and scary.

As Brown and is security detail made their way through the house, they saw clothes belonging to the woman thrown throughout the foyer. Ayeb spray painted “ I LOVE YOU” across his kitchen counter. After looking further, they discovered the woman of 21 years-old sleeping naked in his bed. Needless to say, the cops were called immediately.

It was clear to the police the woman had stayed at the house for a few days as she left dishes in the sink and there was food lying around. This is truly one of the scariest celebrity stalker stories I’ve ever heard. Ayeb was not shy about telling the world how much she loved Brown. She spray painted “MRS. BROWN” on the side of the singers Black Range Rover and Silver Rolls Royce. I think I may be shedding a few tears at this point for Brown. Ayeb is being held on charges of burglary and felony vandalism.

The next day on Thursday morning, Brown posted a photo of Ayeb on his Instagram page and wrote: “I get home and find this crazy individual in my house. She had broken the hinges off the doors, she found time to cook several meals. She wrote, ‘I love you’ on the walls. She threw out my daughters clothing as well as my dogs stuff. Then had all these crazy voodoo things around my crib. Goes to show you how crazy people are crazy! And she painted her name on my cars!!! I love my fans but this is some is on some real real crazy sh*t.”

I think we can all totally agree on that one. I wouldn’t be able to sleep for weeks if I found out someone was camping out in my home while I wasn’t there. Brown should really consider beefing up his security. Install some cameras, add some flood lights and set loose some attack dogs. We can only hope that Brown’s week ends on a high note.

Turns out Amira is an aspiring singer attending the University of Houston and just hopped on a bus last week telling friends she was going to see Chris. She’s currently being held on $50,000 bail, but she got her infamy!

WALKING DEAD’s Father Gabriel Tries Godlike Speed For DUI Arrest

father gabriel set gilliam arrested on walking dead drugs 2015

Wow preacher man slow down! The Walking Dead star Seth Gilliam who plays Father Gabriel Stokes was arrested on Sunday morning after police caught him driving 107 mph in a 55 mph zone. Gilliam also took the police on a 4 minute high speed chase down the highway before they were able to cuff him. Unfortunately for him, the entire event was captured on video which you can see below.

The actor clearly messed up when he went flying past the police officers at 2 a.m. In the morning. After the 4 minute chase and the cops finally catch up to him, he’s told to put his hands where the cops can see them and to back up to them. Gilliam followed directions completely handcuffed right away. The cops then said he was being arrested for reckless driving.

Oddly however, the video cuts off after Gilliam is handcuffed. I’m not saying anything suspicious went on here, but It would be less strange if you saw the entire tape. The police don’t have the best track record when pulling over black men in the middle of the night after all. Cops claim (although there’s no video obviously to prove it) that they also found a joint in Gilliam car. The actor did confess to drinking three beers and a shot prior to driving. He was eventually charged with DI, marijuana possession, reckless driving and speeding.

I still think it’s strange that the actual arrest video was not released.

The AMC show is currently filming its sixth season in Senoia, Georgia. He was pulled over just 30 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta. AMC and Gilliam did not answer request for comments so far.

The Peachtree City PD told TMZ, “It’s part of the criminal investigation and anything related to evidence that could prosecute him won’t be given out until the investigation is over.”

Yeah, OK.

This has not been a great week for the cast of The Walking Dead. Last week, fellow cast member Chad. L. Coleman went on a rant after being called a n— on a train! While Chad seemed to be having a very bad day (which we all have at sometime), Gilliam did something unbelievably stupid! Considering how black men are being treated in America it is just dumb to put yourself in a situation where he could have easily been beaten or worse killed.

Not to mention, you’re on a top rated show! No one likes bad publicity for their show so if he doesn’t watch it, he could be consumed by a pack of zombies way ahead of schedule.

BIG BANG THEORY Ep 823: Mom’s Collide For Finale

On this week’s episode of Big Bang Theory Penny asked Leonard when his mom’s flight was landing and he said not until the next day. Sheldon and Leonard were receiving an award and both their mothers were flying in to be there for it. Penny said that maybe she should get Leonard’s mom, Beverly, a gift because the woman isn’t very fond of Penny and Leonard’s relationship. Leonard told her not to bother because she would have to go out and get a PHD for his mom to like her.

Sheldon’s mom Mary arrived and he told her that Leonard’s mom is a renowned psychiatrist and that his mom needed to avoid preaching religion to her. Leonard came home with his mom and she asked him if he and Penny had set a date for their wedding yet. His mother remarked that they had been engaged for a year and still hadn’t set a date and that made her wonder how the sex was between Leonard and Penny. Leonard then asked his mother not to be as critical of Sheldon’s mom as she is of Leonard. Sheldon greeted Leonard’s mom and then introduced his mom to her.

Mary and Beverly had an awkward conversation and Sheldon showed her some of the math he worked out to support the hypothesis discussed in the paper that he and Leonard wrote that they were receiving the award for. Leonard tried to tell his mom that he was the one who worked out the hypothesis but Beverly told him to calm down. Beverly asked Mary when she first realized how smart Sheldon is.  Mary said that she first realized it when Sheldon was only 13 years old. He wanted to build a nuclear reactor in his parents’ tool shed at that age. Mary said Sheldon didn’t think people should have to pay for their electricity so he wanted to build a nuclear reactor to supply electricity to the whole neighborhood. She said Sheldon wanted to use her credit card to buy uranium off an African warlord.

Raj and Howard were sitting in Howard and Bernadette’s living room playing video games while Stuart read a comic book. Bernadette then came home and said it wasn’t fair that while they were playing video games she had been out running errands. She then told the three of them to stop being lazy and go clean the kitchen.

Back at Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment Sheldon showed Beverly pictures from his undergraduate graduation ceremony. Penny then arrived at the apartment and enthusiastically greeted Beverly. Penny then showed Beverly her engagement ring and she remarked that it was lovely and must have been very expensive. Sheldon jumped into the conversation and told Beverly that the ring hadn’t cost much and that they had found it online from a company that repurposes diamond drill bits. Leonard denied this and then asked to speak to Sheldon privately. On the way out of the room Leonard told Penny her engagement ring came from Tiffany’s.

When they were alone Leonard told Sheldon he was dominating Beverly’s time. Back in the living room Penny told Mary and Beverly that they weren’t in a hurry to get married and they would set the wedding date when it felt right to do so. Mary then said it didn’t matter because Penny and Leonard were already married in the eyes of the Lord. Beverly sounded disgusted at that comment and Mary questioned her belief in the Bible as a result. Beverly then insulted Mary by saying she couldn’t believe that as smart as Sheldon is, he is her son. Leonard and Sheldon came back into the living room, still arguing about their mothers.

Meanwhile at Howard and Bernadette’s house, Howard, Raj and Stuart were cleaning the kitchen. Raj said it might be good if Bernadette stopped babying Howard. He then said that Bernadette was treating Howard the same way his mother had and that the relationship wasn’t healthy. Howard then said that Raj was right and it was time for Howard to act like an adult in his marriage. He then went to take out the trash and the bag broke, leaving trash all over the kitchen floor.

Sheldon took Beverly out for coffee and she said she was sorry she had upset Mary. He said it was all right and that his mom would forgive Beverly because if she didn’t she was going to end up in hell. Back at the apartment Leonard told Mary that Beverly never gave him love or affection growing up. Penny then told Leonard he never had to earn her love like he had to earn his mom’s. Mary told Leonard and Penny that when Beverly came back to the apartment Mary would apologize for how she spoke to her when they met. Mary then offered to make spaghetti and hot dogs for Penny and Leonard.

Back at Howard and Bernadette’s house the guys finished cleaning the kitchen and Bernadette came in and praised them for cleaning it. Howard then realized the kitchen floor was still sticky and told Bernadette to leave the room.

Beverly and Mary apologized to each other for the way they treated each other when they met. Beverly then told Leonard after talking to Sheldon she wanted to shower Leonard with unconditional love. Leonard then asked when that would start and Beverly exclaimed that he was very needy. She then put her arms out to give Leonard an awkward hug.

Howard scrubbed the kitchen floor again while Raj and Stuart cleaned the rest of the kitchen. Raj then started whistling “It’s A Hard Knock Life” from Annie. Stuart and Howard then joined in. Then they started singing the song together. Bernadette came into the kitchen, heard them singing, and immediately left the room.

David Ferrer Heads Into 2015 Madrid Open Quarter-Finals: Ready For Kei Nishikori

david ferrer hits quarter finals at 2015 madrid open

Spanish tennis star David Ferrer is proving he’s pushing himself hard this year to move back up the tennis ranks and he’s using the 2015 Madrid Open to show that. He knocked out fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco in three sets 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 Thursday which places him in the quarter-finals. He faces some very stiff competition with Kei Nishikori though, but if he wins, he could go up against good friend and another Spanish tennis star on a roll, Rafael Nadal.

The 33-year-old Ferrer claimed his 29th win of the season as he edged Verdasco in two hours and 27 minutes, converting three of his eight break points. It was the pair’s 20th meeting, with Ferrer improving to a 13-7 mark in their FedEx ATP Head2Head series after beating Verdasco for the second time this season (also Doha).

“It was a tough match,” said Ferrer. “Very tight. Fernando is a very good player. He makes a lot of winners.  With his serve, here in altitude it’s very difficult to return the ball. At the beginning it was difficult. Then in the second set, I think it was very important the first game that I managed to win. Then I could play more aggressively with my forehand and then everything was a little bit more even.”

Ferrer is through to the quarter-finals at this ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament for the seventh time in 13 appearances and goes on to face Kei Nishikori. The Valencia native has already won three ATP World Tour titles this season, lifting the trophies in Doha, Rio de Janeiro and Acapulco.

Fourth seed Nishikori, runner-up to Rafael Nadal in last year’s final, overcame Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3, 6-3 in 72 minutes. The Japanese star retained his Barcelona title (d. Andujar) two weeks ago.

Rafael Nadal Moves To Face Grigor Dimitrov in 2015 Madrid Open Quarters

Cristiano Ronaldo took some time off to watch Rafael Nadal take on Simone Bolelli at the 2015 Madrid Open and take him out in two sets 6-2, 6-2 moving the Spaniard into the quarter finals. There he’ll be facing Grigor Dimitrov in what will most certainly be a blockbuster contest on Friday after the Bulgarian tennis star took out Stan Wawrinka earlier.

Chasing a third straight title at the clay Masters event in the Spanish capital, and a fifth overall, third seed Nadal needed little more than an hour to see off an outclassed Bolelli, saving both break points he faced on his serve.

The Majorcan has a good chance of claiming another Madrid crown as world number one Novak Djokovic pulled out to rest and Roger Federer, who took over from the Serb as the top seed, fell to Australian Nick Kyrgios in the second round on Wednesday.

After struggles with injury and illness, Nadal is attempting to rediscover his best form on his favoured surface before he makes a bid for a record-extending 10th French Open singles title in Paris starting at the end of the month.

He won a 46th career clay title in Buenos Aires in February and is just three shy of the record of 49 held by Guillermo Vilas, but fell short at subsequent clay tournaments in Monte Carlo and Barcelona, two events he has won multiple times.

Dimitrov earlier edged eighth-seeded Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka, who Nadal beat in the 2013 Madrid final, 7-6(5) 3-6 6-3 and the Spaniard said he was expecting a tough contest against a man he has beaten in all five of their previous meetings, including twice on clay.

“Yeah, everything worries me about Dimitrov,” Nadal told a news conference.

“He’s a very good player. He serves well, very good forehand. Backhand, too. Slice also.

“He moves very well and has good footwork. He is a very complicated player. All round. Only way to beat him is to play at really high level.

“Let’s see what happens. I hope I’m going to be ready for the match and I’m going to have fun.”

Czech Tomas Berdych, the sixth seed, also claimed a berth in the last eight when he cruised past 12th-seeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-5 6-2.

Berdych, who lost to Federer in the 2012 final, will play 16th seed John Isner on Friday for a place in the last four.

American Isner brought Kyrgios back down to earth with a hard-fought 6-3 6-7(7) 6-4 success.

On the other side of the draw, second seed Andy Murray takes on unseeded Spaniard Marcel Granollers later on Thursday and is on course to meet fifth seed Milos Raonic of Canada in the quarter-finals.

How Cloud Computing is shaping the future of technology

The term “cloud computing” is probably one of the most commonly mentioned buzz words in technology today. Many people misunderstand its meaning and it often brings to mind data literally being thrown up into the air which in turn creates distrust in the concept.

The reality is that cloud computing has been around for many years but has not gone by that name until recently.

What is Cloud computing?

At its core cloud computing is simply the idea of pooling together physical computing resources in order to create a scalable platform that can deliver services over the Internet.

Cloud Computing in action images 2015

An example of cloud computing in practice

A good example of cloud computing in practice is popular webmail service Hotmail – this is an email service that is being provided by Microsoft over the internet. Rather than having an email application stored on the local computer it is stored remotely and then accessed through your favourite Internet browser.

Scaling the service with cloud computing

If Hotmail were to scale this service and provide it globally (which they do) then it could get very messy as they started to require more and more servers in order to provide the service to an ever growing customer base. With cloud computing technologies they are able to pool all of these servers together to form a single resource. To all intents and purposes this new resource would appear as a single computer making it very easy for developers to work with and also for the end user to interact with. The great benefit of this cloud computing platform is in its scalability and its redundancy – if the system is running low on resources then additional servers can simply be added to the system and will be automatically added to the pool.

In addition to the system is made extremely robust by cloud computing because as well as being able to easily add resources to the pool, servers can also be removed just as easily – even if this is due to hardware failure – and the pool will not suffer because the data that is stored on it is saved across multiple servers within the pool.

Software defined computing

A name that better describes this technology is software defined computing and it is the real technology behind the cloud. Rather than having the hardware itself being responsible for resource management it is the software that manages all of the servers in the pool and this provides much greater control and flexibility over the system.

Whilst the pooling of computer resources that embodies cloud computing has been around for many years, software defined computing is really in its infancy and it is a technology that is now being replicated in many different areas of computing including storage, networking and infrastructure.

As these technologies are developed further it is likely that the infrastructure behind the Internet and these cloud servers will expand exponentially. This will enable all types of services to be delivered over the Internet and will most likely change the way that we interact with and use computers.

Already we are seeing many more services moving to this model for delivery.

How cloud computing is changing the enterprise

These technologies have already changed enterprise IT – where systems used to consist of mostly on site infrastructure many companies are now moving their systems to the cloud in part or in totality.

This does not just include large enterprises but even small businesses are following the same path. Email is a great example where a large percentage of companies are now moving to cloud based services such as Microsoft office 365 for email management.

Will these technologies affect the retail market?

The retail sector has already dipped its toe in the water in the form of cloud based file storage solutions such as Dropbox and Livedrive. These two services in particular are extremely popular amongst retail users and are a great example of how these technologies benefit the end user.

Over the coming years it is likely that the home computer will become more simplified – as we are already seeing from devices such as Google’s Chrome Book – and more services will be contained in and delivered via the cloud.

How the cloud will shape our use of technology

As software defined computing expands and our Internet speeds increase it is likely that cloud computing will redefine how we use computers. It is likely that we will log in to a central system from wherever we are and from whatever device we are using. On this central system we have all of our data as well as our favourite applications.

In addition to this new environment, software applications such as office are likely to be delivered on demand. For example of we are working on a design project we will be able to gain access to Adobe Photoshop instantly, do the work required and then close it down again, perhaps being billed by Adobe for the 15 minutes of use.

Virtual office environments

Of course we already have many companies taking advantage of remote workers today but these technologies are likely to change the way in which we work. They will pave the way for a dramatic increase in home workers and remote collaboration. With these technologies in place there will be little need for employees of a company to all travel into the same location to work.

Bitcoin and digital currencies

When you consider the way in which technology is moving and the fact that any type of service can be delivered over the internet on-demand it is much easier to see the need for digital currencies such as Bitcoin. These currencies can be used to process large numbers of transactions at very low cost and that is exactly what will be needed when services can be provisioned, used and then expired in a matter of minutes.

Lightning Strike Canadiens Twice & Caps Trounce Rangers: 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs

The 2015 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs featured two games on Wednesday night. The results from each game saw both losers pushed to the brink of elimination.

In Tampa Bay the Lightning hosted the Montreal Canadiens in game three of their best-of-seven series. Tampa Bay, following two victories earlier in the series, were hosting for the first time in the second round. Although Montreal desperately needed a victory to give themselves a fair chance to stay in the post-season, unfortunately for Habs fans the Canadiens fell to Tampa Bay 2-1.

The game, though low scoring, was quite dramatic. Firstly, Montreal fell behind early in the game and they remained off the scoresheet for the first 50 minutes of action. However Brendan Gallagher breathed some life back into the Habs with a goal at 10:03 of the third period. The score would remained tied until the very last seconds of the game when Tyler Johnson scored for the Lightning, a goal that was his eighth goal of the post-season. TB now lead the series 3-0 and they can close out Montreal on Thursday night (7pm ET).

In Washington, at the Verizon Center, the Capitals extended their lead over the New York Rangers. Following an early third period goal by Andre Burakovsky, his second of the game, Washington took a one-goal lead. It was a lead that the Caps hung on to as Braden Holtby stopped all of the shots he faced in the third period. The Capitals now lead the Rangers 3-1 and they can close the series out on Friday night from Madison Square Garden.
