First up for this week’s celebrity gossip is Taylor Swift’s recent date night in Manhattan with new boyfriend Calvin Harris. The couple was spotted dining at an upscale Italian restaurant in NYC’s Little Italy and strolling the streets of Manhattan arm in arm.
With her personal life on the upswing, Taylor has many blessings to count these days as she also made the Forbes list of the top 100 most powerful woman. At the age of 25 she is the youngest woman ever to appear on this Forbe’s list.
In more couples gossip off and on couple Katy Perry and Jon Mayer reportedly headed to Disneyland together over the weekend. They dined at Club 44 an exclusive Disneyland restaurant that caters mainly to celebrities and other rich folks. Though the couple won’t publically state whether or not they are dating again they have been spotted out together on several occasions over the past few months.
Kiera Knightley and husband James Righton became first time parents this week with the birth of their baby, whose gender and name have not been revealed to the public as of yet. Nevertheless, congrats to the happy couple!
Meek Mill, who has been romantically linked to Nicki Minaj, is denying rumors that the two are engaged to be married. The rumors started after Mill gifted Minaj with a 15 karat diamond ring, which he swears is not an engagement ring. Mill has said that it is too soon for the couple to contemplate marriage because they are still getting to know each other.
This past weekend’s F1 Grand Prix race was attended by Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and two of their friends. Though the race car driver they were rooting for did not win the Instagram pictures the girls posted from the race showed them enjoying themselves anyway.
Rose Byrne, who co-stars in the upcoming Spy with Melissa McCarthy, recently said in a magazine interview that she enjoys working with Bobby Cannavale, her live in boyfriend. She said she felt making a movie is consuming and she enjoyed being able to share the experience with her boyfriend.
The TLC network has come under fire for airing a marathon of 19 Kids and Counting after the recent revelation that Josh Duggar molested little girls in the past. Though Duggar released a public apology many viewers still felt the marathon should have been pulled in the wake of this news. The network has since publically apologized for not doing so.
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush, Kim Kardashian stated that she didn’t understand why people would follow her on social media only to bash her. I say you reap what you sow and I can’t see one redeeming quality that Kim Kardashian has. I mean, she hooked up with Kanye West and that should tell you all you need to know about her.
In other Kim/Kanye news the couple took to social media to send each other happy anniversary wishes as, by some miracle, they actually made it to their first wedding anniversary which is surprising since she’s a Kardashian and he’s just Kanye West. Anyway, Kanye tweeted to Kim that she is the girl of his dreams and that he loves her and their daughter so much.
These Kardashians are always into something, as Kylie and Kendall are celebrating the launch of their clothing line, which consists of styles inspired by the fashion of Morocco. The clothing line is sold exclusively at Pac Sun stores across the country. Summer weight dresses and tops are featured as part of the clothing line.
Proving some good can come from celebrities using social media Eva Mendes is receiving praise for a selfie she posted on her Instagram in which she thanked people for helping to support the family of Andrew Wilson Wratten, a baby stricken with Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer. Mendes also stated on her Instagram post that she was going to autograph a t-shirt and send it to the first person who made a donation to the child’s family within 48 hours of her post.
Speaking of selfies, over the weekend, the Rock (or Dwayne Johnson, if you really want to call him that,) set a new world record for the highest number of selfies anyone has ever taken within a three minute time period, with 105 pictures of his gorgeous face. This world record was broken at the London premiere of San Andreas.
The first very short leg of Mariah Carey’s Las Vegas residency has come to an end and, despite having had to cancel one of her first ever residency shows due to vocal cord issues, she was showered with letters and gifts from her fans to congratulate her on the show’s success. To thank everyone Mariah took to her Instagram account and posted a video thanking them and telling them how much fun she has already had with her Las Vegas residency.
After having recently called off her wedding Bristol Palin took to her blog this week to ask her fans and readers for prayers for her and her family. She said that everyone was hurting and that she trusted God’s plan for her life. Bristol announced that she and her baby son are rebuilding their lives in their home state of Alaska.
Though as a former Victoria’s Secret Angel, Karlie Kross is used to living a glamorous lifestyle, earlier this week she donned a St. Louis Cardinal shirt and threw out the first pitch at their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. She had the pitch caught on camera and posted the picture to her Instagram account stating that nothing she had ever done before had made her more nervous. On the more glamorous side of life, Karlie Kross also recently made an appearance at an AIDS Gala held in Cannes last week.
