BIG BROTHER Second Round Of House Guests Move In

On Thursday night’s Big Brother 17 the remaining house guests were introduced to viewers. Julie Chen brought them out and said she liked that they knew the game. That is when the remaining house guests found out that the other group of house guests are already living under one roof and getting to know each other. Julie then told them about the twists that were revealed on Wednesday night’s premiere. She also said one of the new house guests would b become the second head of household. Then she explained the BB takeover and sent the new house guests into the house in two groups of three.

Liz – She said she is feisty, has no filter and biggest problem in the house is going to be jealous girls.
Jason – His style is bright colors. He said he watches the feeds every summer.
Vanessa – She has won over $4.5 million playing poker. She has studied game theory at Duke, so she may be a real threat.
John – He is a rock star dentist, as he plays the guitar at night and cleans teeth at day. He wants a showmance and his relationships don’t last.
Becky – She loves the outdoors. She said she is fun and friendly and people trust her, so she can manipulate them.
Steve – He said he is probably the kid you cheated on your math exam during high school. He is a Superfan and drew a picture in fourth grade with a BB key around his neck and his dreams have come true!

They arrived at the Big Brother house and met the other guests. Austin said he felt like he was sea biscuit and Jason was his jockey. Audrey and Vanessa met and hugged. All of the house guests then set around the table, popped open a bottle of champagne and made their introductions. Da’vonne said John doesn’t seem like a dentist even though he is. Jace said that the more girls in the house that were single the more fun this would be for the guys. Vanessa said she is a DJ on Vegas even though she is a professional poker player. Da’vonne said Jason gave her a Pee Wee Herman vibe. Then they realized there were two empty seats at their table.

Julie Chen introduced Phil Cogen, host of the Amazing Race. She and Phil discussed that he was going to take over the game. Former Big Brother contestants have gone on to compete on the Amazing Race. Phil then said he was sending some Amazing Race contestants into the Big Brother house to compete. Jeff and Jackie, from Amazing Race season 26, will be the ones playing the game with the current house guests. Phil then went told the house guests about this particular takeover. Jace said Jackie will be like Archie’s Veronica. Jeff said that he was here to play the game solo.

The house guests were called to the living room to crown the second head of household. One guest from tonight’s new group was chosen to sit out of the challenge that determines who becomes the second head of household. The challenge was called UFO No. The house guests had to hold onto a stake tightly enough that the UFO would not be able to take them. Jeff said it felt like they were being pulled by an 18-wheeler. Steve said he didn’t want to win this challenge because it would put a target on him for eviction. He said he wanted to end the challenge by not being on the top or the bottom. Dirty tomato juice was then squirted on the competing house guests. Jeff said he was using muscles he didn’t know he had and his feet were throbbing. Steve was the first one to get sucked up by the UFO. Jeff was the second house guest to lose the challenge. John was the third one the UFO sucked up. Becky said the challenge was a lot harder than she thought it would be. She then became the fourth one to lose the challenge. Liz became the fifth one to be eliminated from becoming head of household. Jason and Jackie were the last two housemates competing in the challenge. Jackie was then eliminated and Jason became the second head of household.

National League All-Star Team Predictions

The National League is set to host the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star game as the mid summer classic rolls into Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. One thing for fans entering this game we should all expect to see some firepower at the plate as the All-Star game will be taking place in one of the more hitter friendly ballparks in all of baseball.

Currently, the Reds home field is ranked second in home runs, seventh in run and eighth in runs according to ESPN MLB Park factors. That being said the idea of some of the games top power hitters taking part in this game in this ballpark has us sitting on the end of our chairs. Three players we are looking forward to watching in this game in this ballpark are Bryce Harper, Giancarlo Stanton and Todd Frazier.

Stanton currently leads all of baseball with 24 home runs while Harper sits in at 22 and Frazier at 20. For the home fans of the Reds the team will get to root on Frazier who is having the best season of his career and should start for the National League All-Star team in 2015.

Here is what we think the 2015 National League All-Star team should look like.

National League Catchers

Buster Posey, Starting Catcher: The San Francisco Giants catcher takes home the starting job for the National League All-Star team in 2015. Posey is putting together a solid season behind the plate ranking near the top in every offensive category among National League catchers including wins above replacements at nearly three. On the season, Posey is hitting .294 with 10 doubles, nine home runs, 36 runs batted in and 29 runs scored.

National League First Baseman

Paul Goldschmidt, Starting First Baseman: If it wasn’t for the Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman, Joey Votto would be starting at the position in his home field. That being said, Goldschmidt is hitting .364 on the season with 49 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple, 18 home runs and 53 runs batted in. The Diamondbacks first baseman ranks near the top in every offensive category in the National League locking up his spot on the team.

Dee Gordon, Starting Second Baseman: Looking back at the time the Los Angeles Dodgers elected to trade away Gordon and then eventually replace him with a much older Howie Kendrick had us shaking our heads. In the end the Dodgers have gotten some production out of Kendrick but Gordon is been spectacular for the Marlins this year. Gordon is hitting .357 with 35 runs scored to go with 13 doubles, 17 runs batted in and 22 stolen bases.

Todd Frazier, Starting Third Baseman: We won’t lie as we would have loved to see Kris Bryant come up and put up even bigger numbers than he already has to earn the starting spot. That being said, Frazier has put together the best season among all third baseman in the National League. Frazier is hitting .293 with 46 runs scored, 19 doubles, one triple, 20 home runs and 20 runs batted in. This lands Frazier just above Nolan Arenado on the list with a little extra push since the game will be played at his own ballpark.

National League Short Stops

Jhonny Peralta, Starting Short Stop: The list of National League snubs will be long just at the short stop position. That being said we have to go with the St. Louis Cardinals short stop who is having one of the best seasons of his career. Peralta is hitting .312 on the season with 30 runs scored, 16 doubles, 10 home runs and 35 runs batted in. Following him up on the board include Wilmer Flores, Brandon Crawford, Jimmy Rollins and Troy Tulowitzki.

National League Outfielders

Giancarlo Stanton, Starting Outfielder: The Marlins outfielder is putting together an MVP performance for the first half of the season. Stanton who has been known to be one of the bigger power hitters in the game currently leads all of baseball with 24 home runs just ahead of Bryce Harper who sits in second with 22 home runs. To go with the home runs, Stanton has scored 43 runs while picking up 12 doubles, one triple and 62 runs batted in.

Bryce Harper, Starting Outfielder: All I can think about is how a bunch of baseball fans have been calling this guy a bust the past few seasons. Wonder if they are saying this now about one of the best hitters in all of baseball? Harper has put to bed all of that talk with his play this year as he has 22 home runs to go with 52 runs batted in and 49 runs scored.

Joc Pederson, Starting Outfielder: The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder is looking to run away with the National League Rookie of the Year award. Pederson hit the ground running this year as he is hitting .253 with nine doubles, one triple and 17 home runs earning him the final starting spot among the National League All-Star team.

Cole is putting together an unbelievable season pitching to a 1.71 earned run average while posting a 10-2 record for the Pittsburgh Pirates this season.

American League All-Star Team Predictions

The 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star game is approaching as the Kansas City Royals continue to dominate the voting in the American League. Currently the Royals have eight of the nine players atop their respected voting positions. This comes after the Royals second baseman Omar Infante moves ahead of Jose Altuve for the second base position leaving only Mike Trout as the only non-Royal currently being voted in.

That being said it gives us a chance to look at what the real American League All-Star team should look like through the middle of June. We will use the same format that Major League Baseball uses including a starting roster with designated hitter, 12 pitchers and 12 reserve players. We will also appoint one player from each team from each of the 15 American League teams.

Here is what we think the 2015 American League All-Star team should look like.

American League Catchers

Stephen Vogt, Starting Catcher: The Oakland A’s catcher is putting up the best numbers of all the catchers in the American League through the middle of June. Vogt is hitting .280 over his first 193 at bats with seven doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 45 runs batted in and 31 runs scored. Vogt also leads all catchers in the American league with a .26 win aboveson replacement for the position.

Russell Martin, Reserve Catcher

American League First Baseman

Miguel Cabrera, Starting First Baseman: Cabrera is putting together another big season for the Detroit Tigers. Currently Cabrera is hitting .344 with 14 home runs, 13 doubles and 47 runs batted in while producing a 3.3 wins above replacement. Cabrera along with Prince Fielder are the only first baseman in the American League to post a batting average above the .300 mark.

Brian Dozier, Starting Second Baseman: For a while we had Jose Altuve as our top option but since he has seen his batting average drop to under the .300 mark, Dozier has moved into the starting role for us. The Minnesota Twins second baseman is hitting .265 on the season with 21 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs and 32 runs batted in.

Josh Donaldson, Toronto Blue Jays: This decision might have been the easiest of all the positional players around the American League. Looking at his wins above replacement for the season Donaldson is posting a 3.9 through mid June.

Xander Bogaerts, Starting Short Stop: While we tossed around a few different players for the position, Bogaerts currently leads all American League short stops with a .293 batting average. While the case could be made for a few of the other American League short stops including Marcus Semien, Erick Aybar or Elvis Andrus.

American League Outfielders

Mike Trout, Starting Outfielder: The Los Angeles Angels outfielder is having one of the best seasons of any player in the American League. Currently, Trout is tied with three other players in the American League for the home run lead with 18 home runs. Trout is hitting .300 on the season with 13 doubles,, 39 runs batted in and 47 runs scored for the Angels.

Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles: Jones and Trout are the top two center fielders in all of baseball and it has shown early on during the 2015 season. The Orioles outfielder has put up some solid numbers at the plate this year but his defense in center field has been outstanding through June. Jones has 10 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs and 33 runs batted in through 239 at bats this season.

Josh Reddick, Oakland A’s: The debate could be made for a handful of other outfielders but this is how we see it. Reddick is ranked third in the American League among outfielders with a .305 batting average. The A’s outfielder has 10 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs to go with 40 runs batted in during his 223 plate appearances.

American League Designated Hitter

Nelson Cruz, Designated Hitter: Really no debate who should start the All-Star game at the designated hitter position. Cruz is currently tied with three other players for the league lead with 18 home runs after getting off to a terrific start for the Seattle Mariners this season.

American League Starting Pitchers

Sonny Gray, Starting Pitcher: Gray lands as our top option to start the 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star game. The debate could be made for Chris Archer, Dallas Keuchel, David Price and even Felix Hernandez. That being said, the A’s starting pitcher leads the American League with a 1.60 earned run average. Gray has also posted an 8-3 record in 14 starts this season with 88 strike outs.

The Irony Of President Barack Obama’s ‘Nigger’: For the Record

This week’s For the Record, I’m talking about something that, once again, I cannot help but add my two cents in order to shed some light on the situation. Yes, I consider myself a giver of understanding, a clearer upper of the bullshit, a poet of sane thinking… and here I go.

So here is the thing with President Barack Obama saying the word nigger on the Marc Maron show – he has every right to because he is black. Plain and simple. There is no way around it. I know that may seem kind of elementary and even invalid, but at the root of it, black people use the word and so it is not something we make a big deal about. Yes there are those who wanted to have a funeral for the word and want to vanish it from the English language, but that’s not going to happen… ever…. And I don’t quite get why someone would even still be on that soapbox.

Now, I don’t see President Obama walking around in his every day life just saying nigga like rappers or us common black folk, but his dropping the “n-word” in an interview the way in which he did should NOT have garnered the reaction it did.

And let’s talk about the way he used it. See, when I first heard about him saying the word, I was like “oh damn, he done gone hood on em,” but after hearing the comment in question, it is clear that people are overreacting. The overreaction, MOSTLY by individuals who would get more than a side eye if they used the word, is just another way in which those who don’t like, oppose and downright hate President Obama to further spew their disdain for him.

I didn’t have a problem with him saying it obviously because he was using it in a conversation as an example to support his point that racism is still an issue in America today. To keep it really real, the very fact that “certain people” take issue to him saying it further supports his point that racism is by no means gone. What, are they upset that the president gets a pass to say it and they don’t? Are they upset that he used it to describe a mindset that they secretly embrace when they are with their friends in the privacy of their gatherings, events, conversations and homes? I just don’t get the outrage. It’s not like he said, “ Racism is still alive and niggas ain’t having it.” I can see one’s consternation with that, but that’s not the case.

To be clear, I know that white people (the “certain people”) are not the only ones who are crying about his usage of the word. There are some black people who feel that it was inappropriate. But we have to really be honest here. President Obama said it in reference to the derogatory meaning it personified during a much darker time in America. We are all away of the fact that the term DOES mean different things depending on who’s saying it. There is no question about that and anyone who denies it is just doing so for arguments sake.

President Obama did nothing wrong in using it. All of this is telling to the state of racial tension in the country. I wish to God we could get past it all. It baffles me that the color of a person’s skin can cause another person to loathe them. How does that even work?

People need to stop feeling the need to make mountains out of molehills. Always fishing and reaching for something to project on black people of influence. It takes away a certain sense of credibility when black leaders are treated the way Obama is treated. I mean come on, he is the fucking president of the United States. Don’t you think he was more than aware that using the word just might have the reaction it did? Bill O Riley can call every black person regardless of what they are doing a thug or menace and that only adds to his ‘credibility.”

President Obama can’t get a break. I mean, with people thinking that it’s okay to heckle him as he speaks and all. He gets no love. But hey, that’s what happens when you are the most powerful man in the world, right?

Aaron Hernandez Odin Lloyd Murder Charges Continue For Ortiz & Wallace

The Odin Lloyd murder trial continues for two more men who’s been accused of serving as Aaron Hernandez‘s accomplices in his shooting death. Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz have been accused of joining with former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez to Odin in 2013 are due in court on Friday, the first time they will appear since Hernandez was convicted of first-degree murder in April. They are both charged with murder as as accessories after the fact and have been in custody since June 2013.

Hernandez’s lawyers are still pushing hard to have the judge overturn his murder conviction as they’ve filed four motions contending that jury corruption was involved in the decision making verdict of their client.

Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz are scheduled for status conferences Friday at Bristol County Superior Court. Both men have pleaded not guilty to murder.

Wallace has a status review conference, while Ortiz’s attorney, John Connors, is expected to argue that Ortiz’s statements to police after his arrest in Connecticut should be suppressed. According to court documents, Ortiz spoke with detectives without a lawyer present and said that Hernandez and Wallace were outside their vehicle in the North Attleborough Industrial Park when Lloyd was shot to death just before 3:30 a.m. on June 17, 2013.

Ortiz also said he was sleeping, heard a gunshot and then saw Wallace and Hernandez return to the vehicle. Ortiz also allegedly recounted conversations between Lloyd and Hernandez in the vehicle, told police he saw Hernandez carrying a handgun and made apparent references to a Franklin apartment Hernandez rented where police said they found evidence, including clothing and ammunition.

Those statements led to early speculation that Ortiz would be the prosecution’s star witness against Hernandez, 25, the former New England Patriots tight end who was convicted April 15 of first-degree murder. But Ortiz did not testify during the 10-week trial because prosecutors considered him to be an unreliable witness since he allegedly later changed his story. Court documents also indicate a polygraph test, which is inadmissible in court, indicate Ortiz lied about not shooting Lloyd.

During closing arguments in Hernandez’s trial, defense attorney James Sultan said the former NFL star witnessed Lloyd’s killing, which Sultan said was “committed by someone he knew.” However, Sultan did not identify the alleged gunman.

Prosecutors say that Oritz and Wallace drove up to Massachusetts from Connecticut in June 2013 to help Hernandez carry out the killing of Odin Lloyd. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée. Oritz’s attorney is claiming that his client was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and was not involved in Lloyd’s murder.

A lawyer for the former tight end acknowledged Hernandez was there when Lloyd was shot to death in an industrial park but pinned the blame on the other two men.

This week’s celebrity gossip includes an appearance by royalty as Prince Harry has reportedly been seen with Dr. Who actress Jenna Coleman. At a recent Hollywood event the two were spotted flirting and in later weeks they both attended the party of a mutual friend.

In really sad news for Scott Baio, his wife has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Word is the couple is still waiting to find out if the tumor is benign or not. In a message on Scott Baio’s Facebook page he stated that his wife is bravely facing her diagnosis and that she hasn’t even let herself cry over it. He also stated that together, he and his wife and child would fight this battle together. Stay tuned for any updates on the condition of Scott Baio’s wife.

Justin Bieber is trying to redeem himself with Taylor Swift as the two have exchanged heated words over Selena Gomez, her best friend and his ex-girlfriend. He recently took to Twitter to state that he is interested in getting together with Taylor Swift to perform for their fans. This is one Hollywood feud that might actually be starting to die down.

Last week Taylor Swift was the host of an elaborate baby shower for Jaime King, a friend of the singer’s. The celebrity party guest list included Jessica Alba, Gigi Hardid and Nina Dobrev. The baby shower was hosted by Swift the day after a concert in Pittsburg, where she performed for 60,000 screaming fans.

In other Justin Bieber news he is focused on cleaning up his image in Hollywood but has publicly expressed his displeasure about the fact that the expectations of both his fans and haters are expectations he struggles to live up to. In a recent interview he said that while he is willing to take responsibility for his actions he doesn’t think he should have to apologize for them because he is human and he makes mistakes just like everyone else.

Russell Simmons is speaking out in protest over the fact that Donald Trump, who he is good friends with, recently announced his intention to run for President of the United States. In a recent interview with the Huffington Post Simmons made the bold statement that he would rather see Kim Kardashian as President of the United States than Donald Trump. Simmons went on to say that he doesn’t agree with Trump’s politics and that they wouldn’t be good for the U.S.

Sean Penn and Charlize Theron have apparently hit a rough enough patch that their romantic relationship is reportedly over after a year and a half. The two reportedly broke up just after having attended the Cannes Film Festival last month. Theron reportedly told her friends that things between them were over because their relationship had run its course. This is kind of shocking after Theron gushed to Esquire magazine just two months ago about how amazing Sean Penn really is. At the time she said that she never saw her relationship with Sean Penn coming, after having been friends with him for 18 years.

Glee stars Naya Rivera and Lea Michele have never gotten along and now that they are no longer working together the word is that Rivera is planning to write a less than flattering memoir about Michele in her upcoming book where she is apparently detailing all the nasty interactions the two of them had while filming the show. The creator of Glee has stated that the rumors of tension between Rivera and Michele are false.

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria welcomed a baby boy earlier in the week. Hilaria posted a photo on Instagram of the newborn, whom the couple named Rafael Thomas Baldwin.

Jaden Smith and Kendall Jenner were recently spotted riding bikes together through the streets of New York City. The two were seen on rental bikes in Manhattan’s SoHo district earlier in the week, of course with the paparazzi snapping pictures of them. Friends Hailey Baldwin and Harry Hudson joined Smith and Jenner later in the day.

After two years of coupledom, Nick Jonas has split from girlfriend Olivia Culpo. For the better part of the month rumors have been flying that the two were headed for splitsville. They reportedly broke up due to their vigorous work schedules that kept them apart. This comes after Jonas having just last week said in an interview with Good Morning America that though their relationship was tough because of their work they were taking it one step at a time. Apparently they got tired of stepping and just gave up on the job.

Sofia Vergas is happily planning her wedding to Joe Manganiello. The couple is planning a destination wedding because Vergas wants guests to be able to attend the wedding that live in South America and Columbia and she feels Los Angeles is too far away for them to travel. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight she brought up the topic of never taking no for an answer from people, which is not surprising coming from someone as feisty as she appears to be.

Poor Kelly Osbourne is currently recovering from a rather painful spider bite delivered by a poisonous spider. She took to her Instagram account to post a photo of the spider bite on her neck. This is not the first time she has been bit by a spider either. The last time the bite was on her face. Osborne stated that when she had the spider bite on her face she had to receive a painful shot in her jaw to relieve the pain.

Benedict Cumberbatch welcomed a baby into the world with his wife Sophie. The couple has not revealed the baby boy’s name as of yet. A rep for Cumberbatch told the media that the couple prefers to keep quiet about their new baby for now.

NFL Bloopers: 5 Worst Mistakes of 2015 Offseason

There’s hundreds of transactions in any given NFL season. Most are just day-to-day movement of third-string players, calling up practice squad members, stuff like that. Only a handful of moves actually get any serious coverage, either because they’re really good or just plain head-scratchingly stupid. Well, personally, I like to focus on the bloopers. So in the spirit of embarrassing your favorite team, here are the five worst transactions from the 2015 NFL Offseason (I promise the Jags will only be on here once):

Philadelphia Eagles take a $40 million Roulette Spin on DeMarco Murray: Here’s an example of a transaction that was both praised and scrutinized at the same time. On the one hand, Chip Kelly brought in the 2014 NFL rushing leader. That’s good, especially after trading away LeSean McCoy. But, on the other hand, Kelly is bringing in a player that has had production and injury issues up until this past season. Oh, and he’s taking Murray away from the best offensive line in the NFL. Who knows, five months from now this may be switched over to the top five list; but until then $40 million ($18 million guaranteed) is a lot to throw at a player with only one great season under his belt.
Cam Newton gets PAID: I guess I’m a little bias placing this one on the list because I’m outspokenly against huge contracts for quarterbacks that have not won a Super Bowl. At least Newton won a playoff game right? Well, one season after leading the Carolina Panthers to a 7-8-1 record, Newton will be making $30 million. Throwing money at a quarterback does NOT make him good (Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler, Andy Dalton). All it does is make it harder for him to succeed because the team has to lose out on other stars in order to pay him. Welcome to Club Salary Cap Issues, Carolina!
Jacksonville Jaguars go on a (stupid) Spending Spree: It wouldn’t be a worst of the worst list without the Jags front office right?! Good thing for Green Bay Packers second-string cornerback Davon House, who received a four-year, $24.5 million contract with $10 million guaranteed. If you said “Davon who?” it’s probably because House has started 14 games in his four professional seasons. Well, the backup in a bad Packers’ secondary is getting paid like a starter now…but to be fair, he’ll more than likely be their best coverage back.
Eagles Overspend Part II: Byron Maxwell: As the best cornerback on the market this offseason, Maxwell was destined to be overpaid; but the Eagles took it to a new level with a six-year, $63 million deal with $25Ms guaranteed. Sure, Maxwell is good; and he’ll do fine with the Eagles who desperately need the secondary help. The problem I have with this is that Maxwell has more guaranteed money than Joe Haden and Richard Sherman, which is almost ironic with Sherman being the main reason Maxwell’s ability has been so over-exaggerated the past few years.
Drum Roll Please…..La’el Collins being passed up by all 32 NFL Franchises in the 2015 Draft: Yes, I’m counting this as a bad transaction by everyone (except the Dallas Cowboys who picked him up after the draft). I know, I promised the Jaguars would only be on here once, but just hear me out. Collins was a top five talent at offensive line, a safe pick, and an immediate upgrade to any team’s pass protection and rushing offense. Well, then he was brought in for questioning with regards to the murder of his ex-girlfriend. He wasn’t declared a suspect, and nothing ever came from it; but needless to say, that was a huge red flag for everyone. But c’mon. Some of these teams had double-digit numbers of picks, most late-round picks don’t even make the final roster, and still no one was willing to take a chance on the big fella? Even if he would have sat out, at least they would have kept him away from an already-stacked Cowboys offensive line.

Summer Soccer transfers: Juventus Grabs Up Mandzukic & Dybala

It’s that time of the year when we’re glued to the internet hoping our club announces the signing of an exciting player. If it hasn’t happened for your club yet it might in the coming weeks.

It didn’t take much time for Juventus to recover from the Champions League loss at the hands of Barcelona in Berlin. The Serie A champions are already active in the transfer market and have wrapped three major signings. Allegri has brought in Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid and Paulo Dybala from Palermo. Sami Khedira has also joined the Champions League finalists after his contract at Real Madrid ran out.

In an interview with Sky Italia, Allegri said: “We must not try to replace Tevez but rather sign players and see based on them what way we would like to play. We have Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala and Mandzukic is arriving too.

“Mandzukic is a player who has scored goals in every league he has played in. He has character and is a striker of international level who will do well in Italy.

“We took him because we wanted him, he is a great player and I am very happy with his arrival.”

The Spanish giants Real Madrid have brought in Brazilian right-back Danilo from Porto. The club has appointed the former Valencia and Liverpool manager, Rafael Benitez, as the new boss of the team. The Spaniard is expected to bring in a few more players but he already believes that it would be difficult to improve Real’s world class squad.

When asked if we could expect some new faces, Benitez said: “Of course. Danilo and Casemiro, for example, are players who are going to be important and the club is working every day to try to raise the level of this team with the odd signing that can help us to tackle the challenges ahead of us.”

“But let me say that improving the current Real Madrid squad is immensely difficult,” added the 55-year-old.

“This team has won everything and has shown the level it has. The fans can rest assured that this squad will possess the level of competitiveness that is demanded of this club.”

Barcelona has parted ways with their long time servant Xavi Hernandez. The midfield maestro has moved to Al-Sadd after winning yet another historic treble with his beloved club. Aleix Vidal will move from Sevilla to Barcelona and the transfer fee is believed to be $26 million. Aleix Vidal was ecstatic with a transfer to Barcelona.

“Apart from the day my daughter was born, this is the most special day of my life,” he told reporters at the Camp Nou. “I went through a lot to get here and I’m living a dream.

“I always try to give my best. There’s no better way to learn than by playing with these teammates.

“I feel that I’ve come home — it’s the best thing to begin a new winning cycle. At the end of the season we were all aware that the move could take place. I was with the national team and the whole process moved along very quickly.

“At the end of the day, each player has to move around to progress. This has happened to me and I hope this will be my last team.

“From my village team, to my time at Espanyol… I’ve played for so many teams that if I started to name them all, we’d run out of time.”

Iago Aspas failed to make much impact at Liverpool and hence the 27-year-old striker would move back to La Liga. Sevilla have made his contract permanent after the end of his loan deal.

Done Soccer Deals: English Premier League Danny Ings & James McClean

The 2015/16 Premier League season will kick off on 8th August. The clubs are busy strengthening their squads before the pre-season friendlies as we build up to the new season.

Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool are among the most active teams in the country as of now. The Merseyside giants have already wrapped up the signings of Danny Ings from Burnley and James Milner from Manchester City. The club also revealed their latest capture, Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim. Recently, Ronaldinho himself praised Firmino and tipped him to be a big success alongside Coutinho. Steven Gerrard will not be seen at Anfield next season and the 18-time English champions might have found a successful replacement who could marshal their midfield for years to come. Liverpool have also brought in Adam Bogdan to give more depth in the goalkeeping department. Such quick transactions in the transfer market suggest the club’s intention to get back in to the Champions League.

Manchester United have been linked to a galore of names since the end of last season. But Memphis Depay is the only noticeable signing at Old Trafford this summer. The English giants are looking to toughen up in the center midfield, center-back, right-back and striker positions. We can certainly expect them to get a few marquee signings before the transfer window shuts down.

According to reports, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Petr Cech of Chelsea FC and an announcement can be made any time now. The Gunners have accumulated a very good team and the addition of Cech can even make them a genuine title contender.

Southampton finished seventh on the Premier League table and will now feature in the Europa League next season. Ronald Koeman knows the tricks of the competition which is why he is trying to get more depth for his team. The Saints have brought in Maarten Stekelenburg on-loan from Fulham. They have also signed Malaga striker Juanmi and have also unveiled the Sporting Lisbon right back Cedric Soares. Soares would most likely replace Clyne who is being pursued by the top clubs in the league.

Manchester City have been surprisingly quiet so far. It is believed that Pellegrini is keen on bringing Raheem Sterling to the Etihad as the Liverpool have already brought in Firmino to replace him. Chelsea hasn’t made any move in the transfer market yet but Mourinho has reportedly set his eyes on Radamel Falcao, who finished his loan spell at Man United last season.

Swansea boss Garry Monk has already brought in forward Andre Ayew from Marseille after his contract at the French club expired this summer. The Welsh club have also signed left-back Franck Tabanou and Swedish goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt as they look forward to build on last season’s highest Premier League finish of eighth.

James McClean is delighted to finally seal his return to the top flight of the English league after signing a three year deal with West Bromich Albion. The 26-year-old was playing for Wigan Athletic in the Championship last year.

Leicester City have announced the signing of former Chelsea ace Robert Huth from Stoke City on a three-year deal. Last but not the least Youssouf Mulumbu has signed a two year deal with Norwich City after being released by West Bromwich Albion.

Good day beautiful people. Today we have some new news and some updates and some famous folks getting arrested while others are moving on and crashing.

Diddy Arrested for “Fight” with UCLA Football Coach

What do you do when you don’t like something and you are rich and famous? You throw shit. That’s exactly what Diddy did to a UCLA football coach… a kettle ball to be exact.

Reports of the incident vary but the story coming out of Diddy’s camp maintains that, “Any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.” Hmmmm, why would theydiddy have to resort to self-defense?

According to Diddy, the incident caused for such action, which subsequently lead to his arrest. But why does there seem to be so many different stories of what happened?

“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate.”

His son Justin is a redshirt defensive back. Whatever happened on the field that day, there is a court date (his bail was sent for $160,000), which will hopefully serve to for the real story to be told and to settle everything.

Rick Ross Arrested for Kidnapping

Why do these rappers always have to go there? I mean damn, you got money, you got fame you got all the bad bitches in red bottoms riding your Maybach’s and Bugatti’s. Why the hell do they have feel the need to continuously show the world how hood they are?

Case in point, Rick Ross. This fool done got arrested for assault and kidnapping. Apparently whatever he did was pretty bad because he has been denied bond. It happened in Fayette County in Georgia. He and his bodyguard were arrested for an incident that happened back on June 7^th at Ross’ home.

The warrants allege that he and Nadrian Lateef James beat a man, (who worked for Ross) knocking out two of his teeth and causing him neck and jaw injuries. The reason for the assault is unclear.

Ross and James were charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and kidnapping. James was charged with aggravated battery and kidnapping.

The two will remain in jail until they appear in court on July 1^st.

Chris Brown Moving on From Karrueche Tran For Good?

Well, he says he’s ready to let it go and by it I mean the constant need to chase Karrueche Tran. Apparently Chris Brown is super heartbroken over their break up (I guess the last one) and he is finally, once and for all moving on.

The life changing decision happened for him when looked at the situation and realized that HE is the one that is the prize, not her. According to an insider, “…he’s the prize! He’s the golden ticket that everyone’s after – not her… “He would cut off both his legs before he chases her or any other female for that matter.”

Now, I hear you Chris or whomever is saying that this is how he feels, but didn’t he just say not too long ago that he is done with all the attention seeking, etc… blah, blah, blah. It is all just so interesting because he recently claimed his love for Karrueche to be so deep it was like being addicted to crack. Wow now that’s some strong emotion.

Well this can be a great thing. In life, sometimes you have to forsake all to focus on getting your shit together and living a better life.

Jay Z’s Tidal Loses Another Chief

I am not sure why people don’t want to give Jay Z and Tidal a break, but bad news just keeps coming from the streaming service backed by the business mogul.

In what seems to be another setback, one of the top executives, Peter Tonstad, has left the company after only two months on the job. The interim chief executive who started in April replaced Andy Chen in the position. What a continual thorn in Jay Z’s side right? Tidal can’t get any love. And with the release of Apple Music this week, it’s just more competition added to the current competitors who already don’t want to see Jay Z win.

I mean, that it is what it’s all about anyway right? People just don’t want to see Jay win. But as the stories have gone in the past, we all know how that usually turns out.

The Dinosaurs are back: Celebrate the Jurassic Park success story

Steven Spielberg’s first Jurassic Park movie starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Richard Attenborough was released back in June 1993. It very quickly became the highest-grossing film worldwide and it made over $900 million in its original theatrical run. Eventually it had to give up that title when Titanic (1997) was released, but Jurassic Park still remains one of the world’s most popular film franchises.

The film is set on the small, fictional island ‘Isla Nublar’, just off the coast of Costa Rica. Here billionaire philanthropist John Hammond assembles a small team of genetic scientists, who have found a way to clone and revive dinosaurs. Hammond wants to open a wildlife park displaying the ancient reptiles but things go wrong very quickly. The dinosaurs break loose and the humans on Isla Nublar quickly have to start fighting for their survival.

Millions of children grew up with the Jurassic Park franchise. Bedrooms were filled with film merchandise from pyjamas and plastic toys to lunchboxes and t-shirts – it just wasn’t cool if it didn’t have a dinosaur on it. Empire Online gives us a better insight into the making of Jurassic Park and what made it so tremendously successful. Spielberg said: “This movie is not Alien, where they can take whatever form your imagination suggests. These are dinosaurs that every kid in the world knows.” This is one of the major appeals of the series. We might have all read about dinosaurs, but Jurassic Park makes them come to life.

Since the release of the first movie, three more Jurassic Park films have been made: The Lost World (1997) featuring Jeff Goldblum, Julianne Moore, Pete Postlethwaite, and Arliss Howard and Jurassic Park III (2001) starring Sam Neill, William H. Macy and Téa Leoni. This month the fourth instalment of the Jurassic Park series was released. Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing. The BBC reported that the blockbuster grossed $511m in its opening weekend alone.

The children, who witnessed the movies in the early 90s, are now all grown up, but the series hasn’t lost its appeal. Children now love it as much now as the previous generation did.

The fact that you can find Jurassic Park and Jurassic World merchandise everywhere now is a good indicator. Kids love collecting everything dinosaur-related: phone cases, necklaces, posters, duvets and trading cards amongst other things. This wall mural is also an amazing gift for all little dino-fanatics.

It’s fair to say that all children are at least a little bit curious about dinosaurs. The Jurassic Park series would never have been so successful if this wasn’t the case. The actors and the production team are doing a great job with making the big reptiles come back to life on the big screen. The latest Jurassic World lets us all be kids again, and why not celebrate by getting some of the merchandise and decoration to bring a part of this world to your safe, dino-free home.

Since its inception in the 1980s, the 3D printing technique is beginning to show very promising results, as manufacturers have started using them to produce prototype products at a faster pace – and for less money – than an assembly line would be able to create.

What is 3D printing?

With 3D printing, it’s now possible to create a fully-formed model from an initial design that’s been input into special printing software.

Firstly, the design is created and given specific dimensions so that the printer doesn’t make it too small or too large, before being fed into Computer-Aided Design (CAD) softwaWE cre. This software then communicates with the 3D printer, relaying the specific design instructions.

There is more than one different method of 3D printing, but generally the design is split into very thin individual layers, which the printer builds up one by one until the final design is complete.

What can a 3D printer make?

The possibilities are (almost) endless! From jewellery to jewel cases, ornaments and toys, plus individual moving parts which can be used in repairs. The technology has even been used to create a stunning 3D-printed dress for fashion model Dita Von Teese and a pair of jet engines in Australia.

Billy Scrivens, product manager at Staples.co.uk believes that, in time, the 3D printer will become a feature in most households, stating: “With the ability to make nearly anything your house would need, be it a new part or an entire product, I can see 3D being a popular feature in homes throughout the United Kingdom in the coming years. Plus with the new polymers being much cheaper, printing will save users financially in the long term”.

As medical researchers and engineers begin to turn their thoughts towards more ambitious applications for 3D printing, in the meantime there’s been an influx of exciting products from creative minds looking to solve the next big design challenge or simply to innovate in the home or office.

The advantages of 3D printing for creative minds

3D printing has many industrial benefits pertaining to the expense and manpower involved in production of models. For creating prototypes, it’s now possible to do so from one single machine rather than putting production onto the factory line – very handy if you’re still tinkering with smaller aspects of the design and need to see changes implemented quickly.

The possibilities for artists are endless: it won’t be long before we see specialist galleries showcasing only work made by 3D printers. True, it takes away some of the individual effort of art but the designs currently flowing from the minds of great artists could be masterpieces in themselves. And with the additional ability to create functional and practical objects for your home or office alongside the more imaginative art pieces, we’ll start to see even greater output of superior design – not to mention, less wastage than you might get in a typical art project due to 3D printers’ efficiency.

At the moment most 3D printers cost in excess of £1,000 (the UP! Plus 2 3D printer for example), which for professionals aiming to sell their completed work could be seen as a strong investment; for the hobbyist however it may be quite an expensive venture.

Either way, if you’re looking to get started in 3D printing, the potential is there to unleash your creative side and create products with form and function – both pleasing to the eye and even quite useful if you’ve got an eye for a good design.
