J.J. Watt Leading the Houston Texans on a Redemption Rampage

jj watt leading texans on a redeeming rampage 2015 nfl images

J.J. Watt’s switch flipped after losing to the Miami Dolphins, and now he’s back.

Losing to the Miami Dolphins was the final straw. With the Houston Texans sitting at 2-5 after a 44-26 loss, a switch flipped in J.J. Watt.

It was at that point that Watt, already one of the most physically dominant players in the NFL, began playing out of his mind. Over the past five games, the best defensive end in the league has put up a jaw-dropping 9.5 sacks and 24 tackles.

The Texans defense rallied behind their leader. After giving up 44 points to Miami, the preseason-top-three defense was approaching dead last. Over the past four games, the Texans have allowed just 35 total points. That total includes the mere six points that Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints high-powered offense were able to muster against Houston, making them the first team to keep the Saints out of the end zone since Sean Payton and Brees joined forces.

All of a sudden, one of the most disappointing defensive units in NFL history has become one of the most feared.

With J.J. Watt on pace for his third consecutive 20+ sack season, the Texans are right back in the race for first place in the trash AFC South. Remember last season when Watt would do everything—literally everything, sacks, defensive touchdowns, and receiver touchdowns—for the Texans? He’s regained the terrifying form which should have won him NFL MVP last season.

Now, with the hype around the Texans as real as it’s been the past three seasons—so real, in fact, that NBC flexed the New England Patriots-Houston Texans matchup onto Monday Night Football—the question is can they maintain it? We all know J.J. Watt can keep up his ridiculous pace. He did it all last season, and he’s done just as well this season.

The Indianapolis Colts are currently tied with the Texans at 6-5; however, Matt Hasselbeck and company hold the tiebreaker. Hasselbeck has yet to lose a game as the starter.

The Week 15 matchup between these two teams, and the AFC South race, in general, just got a lot more interesting.

‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ 601 Life’s Pitch Bitch

real housewives of beverly hills 601 lifes pitch 2015 imagesWhile Brandi Glanville, who was the resident troublemaker for the past few seasons on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is no longer amongst the cast this season, the other housewives made sure to bring plenty of their own drama to the table this season. Like NeNe Leakes did on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Brandi will pop in later this season. Like Leakes, the show is moving on just fine without her too.

Tonight, season 6 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills started up with returning cast members Kylie Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna. In addition, newbies Kathryn Edwards and Erika Jayne-Girardi also joined the crew. As always, the episode began with a whole new intro that included new quotes from each of the women. I think Lisa V won this season with her quote, “I have a passion for dogs, but I’m not crazy about bitches.”

From the brief preview of the season, fans can look forward to getting some insight into Kim Richards’ arrest, Yolanda continuing her fight against Lyme disease, and, of course, a whole lot of cat fights between the housewives. Unfortunately, the show is a little bit behind and shows Gigi (Yolanda’s daughter) still in a relationship with singer Joe Jonas. However, this is no longer the case, as Gigi has quickly moved on to Zayn Malik. In addition, Yolanda is still with her husband of four years, David Foster, but the two just recently announced their divorce. Nonetheless, there is plenty to look forward to this season.

The episode opened with Housewives veteran Lisa Vanderpump warming up her pitching arm with LA Dodgers A.J. Ellis. A.J. comes to Lisa’s house to teach her how to throw, as she was asked to throw out the opening pitch at a baseball game supporting the LGBTQ community (which Lisa is highly involved in). At first Lisa’s attempts weren’t all too promising, however after her husband Ken tells her to imagine she is throwing the ball at Brandi’s face, Lisa is able to find her inner athlete.

Meanwhile, Lisa Rinna, who is undoubtedly the funniest and most modest housewife of the pack, is being filmed for an episode of Oprah’s Where Are They Now. Lisa jokes that she hopes to have a few more milestones in her career, as she doesn’t want her stint on the diaper commercial to be her legacy.

Fellow actress Eileen Davidson is still busy this season on the set of The Young and the Restless. Eileen points out that she is now playing the mother in a mother-daughter-boyfriend love triangle, which is a full circle for her, as she played the daughter in the same situation almost 30 years ago. Nonetheless, Eileen once again lacks personality in comparison to her counterparts, just as she did last season.

Shortly after, we see Kyle ordering new merchandise for her successful retail store. Following this, Kyle meets up with Lisa V for lunch at Villa Blanc (Lisa’s restaurant). During this segment, Lisa tells the confessional that she isn’t convinced that Yolanda has Lyme disease. It seems like these housewives are taking a page out of the RHOC playbook, as the same situation is currently being hashed out over on the other side of California.

Meanwhile, Yolanda is continuing to do anything she can to rid of her illness. She explains that she hasn’t been able to function properly since her diagnosis over 3 years ago. For the most part Yolanda is shown without an ounce of makeup on, which is admirable, as I doubt any of the other housewives would agree to do the show if they knew they were going to be bare-faced the majority of the time (although I do have to give it up to Lisa Vanderpump, 55, who takes off her shirt on camera to quickly change at the baseball game). In addition, Yolanda explains that she has been living in David (her then husband)’s condo in the city, as it is closer to her doctors and clinics. Her distance from David seems to foreshadow the marital problems that the couple inevitably had over the following months. Funnily enough, Gigi is further forced to live through her past relationships, as Yolanda is seen bonding with Cody Simpson’s (Gigi’s ex-boyfriend) mom, Angie.

It is definitely tough to see that the fellow housewives are so critical of Yolanda when she is evidently suffering a lot. Yolanda confides to Angie that if it weren’t for her kids, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar, she would have given up a long time ago.

None other than Lisa Rinna, who takes her two daughters out shopping, provides us with the best moment of the show. In confessional, Lisa is going on about how her daughter works at a deli and how she wants to instill a strong work ethic in her children. She then jokes, “I know too many women that have married men with money, who feel terrible because they have never done anything. I mean they have every [designer bag] known to man, they have everything, but does it really feel good…Probably. It probably feels great actually [laughing].”

The episode closes out with Lisa [Rinna]’s birthday dinner. All of the housewives are shocked to see Yolanda there, especially with not a stitch of makeup on. It is actually pretty surprising to hear Lisa [Vanderpump] in the confessional saying that she thought Yolanda should have taken 10 seconds to put a bit of concealer on. Later on, she also comments that if she were that unwell she wouldn’t have even shown up.  The lack of compassion seems to run in the Vanderpump family, as Lisa’s husband Ken tells the dinner guests (after Yolanda leaves early), “I told [Yolanda] she looked better, but I can promise you she didn’t.” Once again, Lisa [Rinna] wins best housewife of the night, as she criticizes how judgmental Ken and Lisa are being, especially when Yolanda opted to come in the vulnerable state she is in.

You can catch next week’s episode on Tuesday, December 8 on Bravo!

Next Week:

Lisa V, Kyle Richards, and their families jet off to Tuscany for a luxurious vacation. While there, Lisa crosses the line when she begins giving Kyle advice about her relationship with her sister, Kim Richards. Eileen and Lisa R visit Yolanda at her condo, where they realize how severe her condition has gotten. In addition, Yolanda encounters a big health scare as she undergoes another treatment for her disease.

Week 12 NFL Indepth Recap

Philadelphia Eagles 14 Detroit Lions 45

All you need to know in this game is that Megatron lives and Matt Stafford figured that out. Detroit destroyed Philly on Thanksgiving Day, and the Eagles are reeling after back to back weeks giving up 45.

The Eagles team has likely given up on the season so even pride won’t be a factor the rest of the way. Look for more blowouts against Chip Kelly’s flawed system and players.

Eye-popping stat: 5 TDs and 0 picks for Matt Stafford.

Fantasy carnage: Stafford and CJ combined for 61 standard fantasy points and were a great play on DraftKings.

Carolina Panthers 33 Dallas Cowboys 14

Cam could have stayed Clark Kent in this Turkey Day beat down. The Panther defense did all the damage necessary to get a win in Texas.

Tony Romo got knocked out of the game with a broken collarbone but not before throwing three INTs in the first half. Two were returned for scores. He came back early for this?

Carolina CB Josh Norman erased Dez Bryant and crushed him after the game saying Dallas should take Dez back to customer service for a full refund of that $70 mil.

Dallas’ season is over, and Carolina remains perfect.

Eye-popping stat: 2 pick sixes for Romo in one-half.

Fantasy carnage: Carolina D.

Chicago Bears 17 Green Bay Packers  13

It wasn’t the prettiest NFL game you’ll ever see, but that’s the type game Chicago can steal. Jay Cutler and his crew handed Green Bay a tough loss in some nasty weather on the holiday game.

Aaron Rodgers had a shot to go ahead at the end, yet failed on fourth and goal from the eight-yard line with just seconds to go.

Green Bay falls back to second in their division with Minnesota’s win in Atlanta.

Eye-popping stat: Just 4.7 yards per completion for Rodgers.

Fantasy carnage: Should have sought other games.

St. Louis Rams 7 Cincinnati Bengals 31

Nick Foles is a great slump buster. The Rams offense has nothing but Todd Gurley and teams only have to focus on him to get wins over the hot-headed Jeff Fisher coached club.

Cincinnati snapped a two-game losing skid as they scored at will on St. Louis. AJ Green had his way with the Rams secondary on his way to a two score game.

Gurley has gone four games in a row without eclipsing the 100-yard mark, and Jeff Fisher even had to defend his team’s effort afterward. That’ll happen when you drop four straight, my man. What success has Fisher had in his four years with the franchise anyway?

Eye-popping stat: Nick Foles: 3 INTs, No touchdowns.

Fantasy carnage: Dalton with AJ and the Bengals defense scored well also.

New Orleans Saints 6 Houston Texans 24

Brian Hoyer doesn’t need to be the best QB in the NFL when his defense plays like they did on Sunday. Not hard on the “D” either when the opponent is New Orleans.

It turns out the Saints offense is about as dependable as the defense.

JJ Watt had two sacks and is on pace for 20 once again in 2015. The Texans defense has allowed just 35 points in the last four games. Their schedule sets up nicely the rest of the way, and they could be in the playoffs as long as they don’t fall apart completely.

The Saints need a total overhaul and Houston is peaking at the right time when other teams are going the wrong way.

Eye-popping stat: 167 rushing yards to just 50. Advantage Houston.

Fantasy carnage: Houston’s defense put up decent fantasy points.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers  12 Indianapolis Colts  25

What’s it gonna take for folks to believe Hasselbeck is the better option at QB for Indy right now? They guy is doing more with what he has than Luck did when healthy this year. The key may be Hasselbeck taking what the defense gives him which allows him to avoid big hits with a quicker release than Luck. That could stop injuries like a lacerated kidney!

Tampa only had to worry about the Colts’ passing game yet still had no answer for the 40-year-old led offense. Tampa looked to be on the rise, but this loss shows they aren’t ready to be consistent yet. Winston is showing flashes but is still a rookie that needs more games under his belt.

Adam Vinatieri’s four field goals were a big factor as well.

Eye-popping stat: Matt Hasselbeck is 4-0 as the starter for Indy.

Fantasy carnage: TY Hilton stacked with the old QB was a good play.

San Diego Chargers  31 Jacksonville Jaguars  25

Philip Rivers somehow managed four touchdowns with a taped together receiving corp. The Chargers QB also protected the ball, avoiding costly picks against the Jags.

Jacksonville’s biggest problem is they can’t stop anyone. They can score some serious points but find themselves behind way too often.

Blake Bortles had an up and down game while Julius Thomas finally had a breakout performance as a Jag with 100 yards receiving.

Eye-popping stat: 10 – Number of receivers who caught passes from Blake Bortles.

Fantasy carnage: Rivers was huge.

Buffalo Bills  22 Kansas City Chiefs  30

Kansas City got the best of Buffalo with a brilliant game from Jeremy Maclin who racked 160 yards on nine catches. The Chiefs lost linebacker Justin Houston during the game but don’t know the severity of the knee sprain as of this post.

Rex Ryan got questioned about his challenges, but the one concerning a catch was a good one. Any catch can be overturned with the flimsy NFL catch rule.

KC is playing better without Jamaal Charles somehow, and they are on a five-game roll. Spencer Ware had another solid game with 114 running the ball.

Eye-popping stat: Sammy Watkins with 158 receiving yards, most of which came in the first half.

Fantasy carnage: Alex Smith and Jeremy Maclin stacked were money.

Miami Dolphins 20 New York Jets  38

Ryan Fitzpatrick’s four touchdowns should squash the calls for Geno Smith’s return. Wait, there were calls for Smith to actually play quarterback?

The Jets completed the two-game sweep of the warm weather Dolphins that are once again irrelevant in the cold weather months. Somehow Ryan Tannehill has amazing looking stat lines in these losses. He is king of garbage time play apparently.

The Jets got back on track even without Darrelle Revis in the mix who was out with a concussion. The NY offense seemed to reign in the deep passes a bit to make the most of Fitz’s abilities. The Jets defense had little trouble with Miami once it was apparent the Phins weren’t interested in running the ball, ending up with just 12 yards on the ground.

Bill Lazor was fired after the game for the poor offensive output this year.

Eye-popping stat: 12 yards rushing for Miami.

Fantasy carnage: Fitz and Brandon Marshall on DraftKings should have earned some users real cash.

Oakland Raiders  24 Tennessee Titans   21

Here comes Oakland back as their valley and peak season rolls on. They got two-win Tennessee after Derek Carr led his Raiders on a winning drive with under four minutes left to get the victory on a rain-soaked day.

As soon as Marcus Mariota has some weapons around him he will get more wins just like Carr is doing this year.

Seth Roberts had a monster game with Amari Cooper playing well too. Both wideouts had similar stats, but it was Roberts providing two scores.

Oakland needs to string together about three wins in a row to gain confidence on a weekly basis. They can score with anyone. They just need to get used to winning.

Eye-popping stat: 128 rushing yards between both clubs.

Fantasy carnage: Carr hitched to Seth Roberts on Draftkings or standard play.

New York Giants 14 Washington Redskins 20

If you’re in the NFC East, you have a chance at winning the division. Even the Cowboys are not out of the playoff hunt technically. Washington handed NY a disappointing loss that put the Skins in the driver’s seat for now in their weak-ass division.

Washington jumped to a 20 point lead and sat on it most of the game as the Giants tried to mount a comeback. Too bad NY doesn’t get points for how many highlights Odell Beckham shows up on.

Kirk Cousins can be called streaky or unreliable, but when he is on his game, he is as dangerous as an escaped Tiger on the streets of DC.

Eye-popping stat: 51 passes for Eli Manning, three were intercepted.

Fantasy carnage: Cousins, a great guy to take each week as an outlier in DFS tourneys.

Arizona Cardinals 19 San Francisco 49ers 14

Arizona can win beautiful shootouts, and they proved they can win ugly with this win over San Francisco. The Niners defense still has some pride despite all the retirements and defections. They held a potent offense to just two touchdowns.

Carson Palmer put the game away with a 14 play drive that ate up 85 yards and nearly eight minutes.

Arizona suffered some injuries in this game that could hurt them in the coming weeks. Both Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington left the game hurt. The Cards run by committee, but the committee is getting beat up as a whole.

Arizona’s Honey Badger Tyrann Mathieu won’t win the defensive player of the year because of JJ Watt, but damn this kid can play.

Eye-popping stat: 13 penalties on San Fran

Fantasy carnage: Palmer was decent.

Pittsburgh Steelers 30 Seattle Seahawks 39

Russell Wilson is known for ripping the hearts out of opponents. He usually does it with a mix of runs and some late game deep balls. Against Pittsburgh Wilson was all about the passing game, amassing five touchdowns in the air. Three went to Doug Baldwin and two to Jermaine Kearse.

Thomas Rawls had another nice game but did fall short of the 100-yard mark.

This back and forth game may have been swayed by a few calls against the Steelers in the end. Nonetheless, Seattle did what they needed to to put themselves right in the playoff mix.

The Hawks did lose Jimmy Graham for the year with a patellar tendon injury. He may not have been what he was in New Orleans, but he was still a good tight end, just not a superstar in the Seattle system.

Big Ben ended up with a concussion and could miss next week’s game versus the Colts on SNF.

Eye-popping stat: Wilson’s 5 TDs.

Fantasy carnage: Wilson with 34 standard league points.

New England Patriots  24 Denver Broncos 30

It wasn’t the matchup that the networks salivate over, as Peyton Manning was out and Brock Osweiler was in. I doubt the result would have been the same had Manning been the starter, though.

Osweiler looked sharp and gave his Broncos the best chance to win. He wasn’t Tom Brady, but he didn’t put Denver in bad spots either.

New England had the game in control with a 21-7 lead in the snow. That lead slipped away as the Patriots had a muffed punt that helped Denver climb back into the game. Tom Brady set up the FG to tie the game as usual, and we headed to overtime.

The Pats failed to move the ball on their OT possession. Denver made them pay when CJ Anderson took it to the house on a walk off touchdown from 48 yards out. Game over, Patriots’ record now imperfect.

Eye-popping stat: 179 yards on the ground for Denver.

Fantasy carnage: CJ Anderson went off, and the OT touchdown was the cherry on top.

Baltimore Ravens  33 Cleveland Browns 27

I just think bad things happen to my Falcons. Cleveland should patent all the ways they find to lose games. It’s truly amazing.

This game featured some no names in starting roles for Baltimore, and the main reason to tune into this contest was to gamble or watch your fantasy team. That said, the game was pretty damn entertaining.

Josh McCown went out after a big hit and with Johnny Manziel reduced to third string, Cleveland puts in Austin Davis at QB. He goes out and throws a touchdown, going 7/10 for 77 yards.

Matt Schaub ended up throwing for two scores and two picks on the Baltimore side of the field.

With the game tied Cleveland was looking to set up the go ahead FG. Davis was moving the offense down the field but burning a lot of time and inexplicably didn’t use a timeout. He even slide down in bounds after a scramble. The Browns’ Travis Coons came on the field to attempt a 51-yard field goal, and Baltimore managed to not only block it, but Will Hill proceeded to run the thing back 64 yards for the touchdown. Game over, Ravens win by six.

The last minute of offense by Cleveland let Baltimore have a chance to win. The Browns could have moved closer for their kicker had they managed the clock properly.

Eye-popping stat: 64-yard return with zeroes on the clock.

Fantasy carnage: Kamar Aiken was decent for a desperation MNF draft pick.

What’s causing the Atlanta Falcons’ Meltdown?

0

Whats causing the Atlanta Falcons Meltdown 2015 nfl imagesWhy are the Atlanta Falcons in a freefall?

If I could answer that question about the Atlanta Falcons, I could get a fat check from one Arthur Blank. If I could actually fix the issue, I could become a full-time employee of the Falcons. Maybe with the title of QB whisperer since Matt Ryan carries much of the blame for the Falcons’ continuing meltdown that started about week six.

Atlanta started off hot as a firecracker at 5-0. Since then they have limped to a 1-5 record and sit at 6-5 overall. They are 0-2 in their own division against the bottom two teams, New Orleans and Tampa, and still have to face the best team in the NFL, undefeated Carolina, twice.

The meltdown started against Washington when Atlanta had to go to overtime at home to beat a Kirk Cousins led team. If not for a walk-off pick six by the ATL defense in overtime, Atlanta may not have gotten that win at all.

We have to be realistic about the 5-0 record. Atlanta was beating some bad teams in close games. Philly is atrocious. Dallas was led by Brandon Weeden. NY is mediocre. Houston was playing as bad as any team in the League at the time. Washington is up and down each week.

As for the lone win in the past six weeks. The Falcons eked out a three-point win over Tennessee who has since fired their head coach and won only two games this year. The Birds scored just ten points with Ryan, Julio, and Devonta all on the field.

The teams that have beaten Atlanta during this meltdown are mostly bottom feeders. New Orleans, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, and Indy are not good teams. Minnesota, the latest to conquer Atlanta in their home stadium, is decent.

The Falcons’ wins weren’t super impressive looking back, but their losses to low tier teams make the ATL look even worse.

Let’s start with Matt Ryan. He is making poor decisions and bad throws. Worse, he’s doing it in the red zone, costing his team precious points. The offense is racking up decent yardage. They just can’t score enough. The most points they’ve scored during their six-week slide is 21 as you can see below:

atlanta falcons chart 2015 movie tv tech geeks
Source: Pro Football Reference

Ryan’s offense averaged 406 total yards in the first five weeks. They have fallen off to 382 yards per game the past six, but that average is 34 more than Carolina who has not lost a game. The difference? Carolina scores points. Over six more per game than Atlanta.

Points win games, not yards.

Atlanta is also giving the ball away too much, 21 times compared to Carolina’s 12 turnovers. Ryan has 15 turnovers on his own. See the full comparison between Atlanta and the Panthers.

falcons vs panthers charts 2015 movie tv tech geeksThe pressure is increasing as more questions are asked each week about Ryan’s bad play. Ryan is being accountable saying again after this week’s loss to Minnesota, “It starts with me and my decision making.”

Ryan said his second interception of the Vikings game was him “trying to make a play that wasn’t there.”

Coach Quinn backed up his guy as expected. You can’t throw your franchise QB under the bus of course. “I’m not backing off of Matt Ryan,” was Quinn’s statement in the post-game presser.

Even though Matt Ryan is saying all the right things after these losses, it doesn’t matter when he goes right back out the next week and does the same things. Eventually there has to be some accountability in terms of action.

I don’t know that benching Ryan does any good, but what else can wake the guy up?

I do know this. Matt Ryan needs a closed door meeting with Dan Quinn and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. It’s entirely possible this new offense just doesn’t suit Ryan’s specific skill set. Matty Ice appears to operate much better in the two minute drill with no huddle. The problem is he’s having to run that offense each and every game after his team gets behind running the normal offense during the majority of the game.

I don’t expect Shanahan to scrap his entire offensive scheme, but if he’s unable to make some adjustments to help his franchise quarterback out then Shanahan isn’t talented enough to hold the title of offensive coordinator.

In the NFL, you have to adjust to what’s happening. Doing the same things repeatedly when they aren’t working is truly insane.

Ryan is not the only one to blame though he should bear most of the burden. He’s the face of the franchise and gets paid like it. But he does need help from his receivers. Julio cannot be the only guy he can look to. Someone has to step up. Roddy White, a forgotten man the first six weeks, has been purposely incorporated lately but to no avail. Leonard Hankerson is drop prone so Ryan has been forced to depend on tight end Jacob Tamme when Julio isn’t open.

Last year the Falcons’ woes were easy to diagnose. The defense was flimsy at best and the offensive line unable to protect Matt Ryan. The team was also getting nothing out of over the hill Steven Jackson at running back.

This season the defense is doing their job, ranking 11th, better than New England. The offensive line has been ranked at or near the top of most charts. And we know the running back position has been a blessing with Devonta Freeman second in touchdowns scored and fifth in yards from scrimmage despite missing all but six minutes of the past two games.

This 2015 season hinges on whether Matt Ryan can pull himself out of this funk.

Dan Quinn has done a magnificent job with the defense. Kyle Shanahan should be congratulated for how he has improved the O-line and the running game.

Now these two coaches better figure out a way to help their most important asset get back on track before the Falcons’ 5-0 start is completely wasted.

Kylie Jenner Chapped & Adele Not Looking To Super Size Status

kylie jenner chapped up 2015 gossipNow that she is 18-years-old, Kylie Jenner is getting more and more daring with her looks and projects. Today, Interview magazine released a racy art spread that featured the young star in various dominatrix-esque looks.

In one of the more risky shots, Kylie is shown wearing latex chaps with her whole backside on display. In another photo, Kylie is seen wearing a dominatrix cone bra, latex gloves and licking an ice cream cone. Throughout the shoot, Kylie seems to be channeling her inner-doll, as her eyes stare blankly ahead.

In the issue, Kylie also shared some surprising insight into her crazy life. Although Kylie is always sporting the latest designers, she explains to Interview that she is not materialistic. Kylie claims, “I really don’t find happiness within materialistic things. Like, it’s cool if I can buy myself a new car, and I think it’s amazing for a week, but then the thrill is over and I’m like, ‘Oh, so I guess that wasn’t really happiness.’” Nonetheless, the star continues to purchase more cars, as she owns a G-Wagon, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Range Rover, amongst numerous others I’m sure.

She goes on to say that she puts on an act when she is on Snapchat and Instagram. Kylie reveals, “I’m not myself on Snapchat or Instagram. That’s totally not me. I’m way flashier on Instagram and Snapchat, because I feel like that’s what people want to see and that’s I’ve always done, so I’m not going to stop. People want to see my cars and my purses. People love fashion. But that’s so not me.” Kylie recounts an encounter with singer-turned-actress Lady Gaga (who is currently starring in American Horror Story: Hotel). She explains, “[Lady Gaga] came up to me and was like, ‘I think you’re so amazing, and whatever you’re doing, people are just obsessed with it,’ and basically she told me to not change.”

While Kylie just released her line of lipsticks and lip liners yesterday (which sold out in minutes), she claims that she is tired of makeup. Kylie says, “I honestly hate wearing make up. Lately, I’ve just been so over it. I feel like I’m way too young to wear such heavy makeup all the time. It’s just bad for your skin, but I’m always doing photo shoots or red carpets and events, so I obviously want to look good.”

adele not looking to supersize status 2015 gossipWhile Adele’s new album may still be dominating the charts, she reveals to Rolling Stone that she is not interested in pursuing superstar status. Her latest album, 25, has broken countless records, including being the highest selling album debut of all time. However, Adele remains adamant that she isn’t interested in the fame and whole craze that many artists strive for.

Adele explains to the magazine that she is a fan of pop music, but wouldn’t be able to handle the stardom that surrounds most artists in the genre. She says, “It doesn’t move me…but I love [pop music]. I love it to be the soundtrack to my life, and it gets me excited for my day and stuff like that, so it still has a huge part of my life. But I don’t think I could pull off being like a pop-pop star. I have no desire to, either, and I feel like unless you’re willing to reinvent yourself all the time, like Madonna – and I think Taylor [Swift] has been doing a great f**king job with that – unless you have the ability to do that, I think it’s just a dangerous world to step into because it’s very short-lived and I don’t have it in me to reinvent myself a lot, to flip in and out of genres and styles and trends. I just don’t have the ability to do that.”

Considering the 27-year-old sold over 3.4 million copies of 25 in its debut week, it seems to me there really isn’t anything she can’t do. However, I think we have enough bubblegum pop stars nowadays, so it it’s probably best that Adele is looking to stick with her alternative, soulful music.

The singer went on to tell Rolling Stone, “I will be making records for the rest of my life, I think.” After the world went for so long without any new music from the singer, it is definitely nice to hear this!

Joe Jonas Purges Gigi Hadid & Kylie Jenner’s Lips Sell Out

kylie jenner lip sticking well for buyers 2015 gossipKylie Jenner isn’t just outselling her sisters in subscriptions with her personal app and website; she is now taking on the cosmetic industry with her latest venture into lipsticks. Early Monday, the 18-year-old reality star debuted Lip Kit by Kylie in three different color variations – Dolce K, Truly Brown K and Candy K.

For $29.00 US, fans can get their hands on a liquid lip color and a matching lip liner. Unfortunately, merely minutes after Kylie’s lip kit’s site went live, all of the colors sold out, and the site crashed from overwhelming traffic.

Meanwhile, Kylie and her family attended her Lip Kit launch party at the DASH boutique in West Hollywood. While at the event, Kylie showed up donning dark green hair – which is one of the few colors that the star has yet to sport. Her parents Kris and Caitlyn Jenner also attended the gathering.

While many fans are upset they weren’t able to get their hands on a lip kit, Kylie has assured people that she will be making more kits available in the near future. In a photo, she posted to Instagram Kylie simply states, “what an amazing day. More to come before Christmas x.”

Considering the young star has started a trend when it comes to getting surgical enhancements to one’s lips, it is definitely not surprising that her $29.99 lipstick packs sold out so quickly.

joe jonas purges gigi hadid 2015 gossipThe latest romance to rock Hollywood is between supermodel Gigi Hadid and ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik. Although it has barely been two weeks since Gigi ended things with her boyfriend Joe Jonas, she is already moving on to her next relationship.

Over the weekend, Gigi and Zayn were photographed holding hands at they left The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood. While lots of fans were pleased to see the new pairing, this evidently was not the case when it came to Joe, Gigi’s ex.

After the photos of Zayn and Gigi together surfaced, Joe opted to un-follow both Zayn and Gigi on Twitter. In addition, Joe also deleted a picture he had tweeted out in the spring, which showed him, Zayn and Kanye at a Valentino fashion show. The post originally had a caption reading “#SQUAD,” however this no longer seems to be an accurate depiction of Joe’s feelings towards Zayn.

Since Joe’s social media purge, Gigi has taken to her Twitter to cryptically address the whole situation. The 20-year-old model posted, “I’ve found the only way to happiness is by living as though the microscope isn’t there.” Going on to say, “If there was a real way to sit with each one of you and tell my side of things, I would. But there’s not, so I won’t.”

She explained further, stating, “Sometimes life just happens…for whatever reason in whatever timing. And sometimes it doesn’t make sense till it does. That’s it.”

However, it appears that Gigi has since deleted the tweets.

Kobe Bryant Announces Farewell Tour 2015 imagesKobe Bryant Announces Farewell Tour, Intentions to Retire at the End of the Season

20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, countless wins, and five NBA championships later, Kobe Bryant will be hanging up his jersey for the final time after this season.

“You gave a six-year-old boy his Laker dream/, And I’ll always love you for it./ But I can’t love you obsessively for much longer./ This season is all I have left to give./ My heart can take the pounding/ My mind can handle the grind/, But my body knows it’s time to say goodbye,” said Bryant in his tear-jerking free verse poem “Dear Basketball” on The Players’ Tribune.

“And that’s OK./ I’m ready to let you go./ I want you to know now/ So we both can savor every moment we have left together./ The good and the bad./ We have given each other/ All that we have./ And we both know, no matter what I do next/ I’ll always be that kid/ With the rolled up socks/ Garbage can in the corner/:05 seconds on the clock/ Ball in my hands/ 5…4…3…2…1.”

I’m not a huge Kobe fan, but even I shed a manly tear after reading his take on retirement. It’s sad to see him go. I’d argue that Shaquille O’Neal is lightyears better than Bryant any day, but even I can’t deny the mark that Kobe left on the game of basketball. And to be able to express it in words so beautifully?…sorry I’m getting emotional again.

It’s good to see Bryant hanging it up; however, it really is the right time. You could argue that he stayed a season too long, but can you blame him for wanting to make his rounds one more time on the court rather than on the bench in a suit due to injury?

I definitely understand his decision now.

And no matter how he plays, Bryant is well respected amongst his fellow players. When asked about his idol’s retirement announcement, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant for one had some choice words for the media regarding their treatment of Bryant this season.

“I did idolize Kobe Bryant,” said Durant. “I studied him, want to be like him. He was our Michael Jordan, I watched Michael towards the end of his career when he was with the Wizards, and I seen that’s what Kobe emerged as the guy for us.

“I’ve been disappointed this year because you guys treated him like sh*t. He’s a legend, and all I hear is about how bad he’s playing, how bad he’s shooting…You guys treated one of our legends like sh*t, and I didn’t really like it. So hopefully, now you can start being nice to him that he decided to retire after this year. It was sad the way he was getting treated, in my opinion.”

Better buy those end-of-the-season Laker tickets quick. The secondary market won’t be cheap.

German Bundesliga Game Week 14 Soccer Review

German Bundesliga Game Week 14 Soccer Review 2015 imagesAfter 14 match weeks, Bayern Munich are still unbeatable in the German league. With 13 wins and a draw, the Bavarian giants are eight points ahead of their closest rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Pep Guardiola is guiding the German giants to their 26th league win, his third since joining Bayern in 2013. Bayern Munich are 15 points clear of the third-placed Wolfsburg, and thus their only competition at this point seems to be Thomas Tuchel’s Dortmund.

At the weekend, Bayern Munich beat Hertha BSC 2 – 0 at the Allianz Arena. Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman netted one goal each to earn three points for their side. Guardiola’s men dominated the match with 24 attempts on Hertha’s goal in contrast to the latter’s four.

Borussia Dortmund have won 10, lost two and drawn two of all their matches in the Bundesliga this season. They played host to Stuttgart on Sunday, and the match at Signal Iduna Park ended 4 – 1 in favor of the hosts. Castro bagged a goal while Aubameyang scored a brace. Aubameyang has taken his season tally to 17 goals and is the top scorer of the league followed by the former Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, who has netted 14 goals so far.

Dortmund coach Tuchel was relieved as his side returned to winning ways after the 3 – 1 loss to Hamburger SV.

“Overall, I am very happy with this important win,” Tuchel told reporters. “We were aware of Stuttgart’s attacking strength and had a clear plan how to defend against them with intensity.

“The opening goal gave us some extra certainty. Spaces were too big before that. We worked hard to get into the game.

“We defended very well in the second half and did not allow them any chances.”

“We had already planned to rest Hummels, although I almost had second thoughts after all that’s been written about him,” Tuchel added.

“It was a great feeling to send someone on with the quality of Hummels.”

Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke were involved in a 1 – 1 stalemate at the weekend. Leverkusen and Schalke are sixth and eighth in the league table, but they aren’t very far from the Champions League spots.

The fight for the third spot could go down to the wire if Wolfsburg doesn’t find their form of last season. In game week 14 in the Bundesliga, Wolfsburg were held to a goalless draw at Augsburg. Borussia Monchengladbach could’ve taken advantage, but they too drew at the weekend. Monchengladbach also picked up a point at the weekend after the draw at Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim are currently at the foot of the Bundesliga table. Augsburg and Stuttgart are 16th and 17th respectively after earning 10 points in 14 matches. The 15th placed Werder Bremen are only 12 points behind the third-placed Wolfsburg, but this gap might increase in the coming weeks.

‘The Voice’ 922 No To Sunshine But Madi & Jeffery Austin Made Up For It

the voice 922 no to sunshine 2015 jeffery austin imagesThis week kicked off with the Top 10 performing on NBC’s The Voice. Yes, the competition is already down to 10 competitors, with each of the four coaches – Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine – having at least one musician still in the running.

The Voice has got me rather confused about Braiden Sunshine as he’s easily one of the dimmer lights shining in this season which is populated with far superior voices going home than him. Last night’s cover of Imagine Dragons‘ “Radioactive” was just bad, and it felt like a small poodle trying to act like a Rottweiler. Sunshine literally shines when he does the ‘pretty voice’ songs, but when it comes to meatier more meaningful powerful vocals, he just can’t cut it. It was shocking that the judges were being so effusive after his performance when he had a ragged note near the end, and then he missed that powerful breathy gasp in the chorus. This song is a rather dark one, and it felt like Braiden Sunshine was trying to turn it into a piece of cotton candy.

braiden sunshine destroys radioactive the voice 2015 imagesI understand Gwen Stefani not wanting to hinder this young singer’s wishes, but as a coach/mentor, you would think she would guide him to songs that better suited him and didn’t make him stand out for all the wrong reasons. America voted him as most popular last week for some reason, but true artists like Madi Davis and Jeffery Austin deserve the votes much more. That’s my two sense, so fire away with why I’m wrong and who you think is more deserving.

So as we enter the final stretch of season 9 of The Voice, here is a recap of tonight’s performances:

Jeffrey Austin

Team Gwen

“Jealous” by Labyrinth

Jeffrey kicks off the night with an incredibly strong vocal performance. Against a barren stage and wearing a simple suit and tie, Jeffrey relies on his voice and dynamics to carry out his performance. While it was a slow song, his clarity and range kept it interesting throughout. In addition, I felt that he was able to evoke emotion without being over-the-top theatrical, which many singers tend to do on The Voice stage.

Afterwards, Jeffrey got some pretty impressive compliments from the coaches. Both Adam and Blake noted that they felt transported by his performance and were thoroughly captivated by his voice.

Emily Ann Roberts

Team Blake

“She’s Got You” by Patsy Cline

Following Jeffrey is 17-year-old Emily Ann Roberts. It is safe to say Emily had a good week, considering she got a phone call from Wynona Judd praising her performance from last week and was gifted a brand new guitar from her coach, Blake Shelton. Once again, Emily had a strong performance. The song she performed was a perfect match to her bluegrass tone. Furthermore, I am pretty sure she is a shoe-in for next week’s performances.

Braiden Sunshine

Team Gwen

“Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons

Braiden was like a whole new person this week, as he exuded confidence throughout his rehearsals. Braiden opted to put a jazzy spin on “Radioactive,” and got hands-on when it came to setting the stage and visuals.

This week, Gwen didn’t simply convince Braiden to straighten his curly locks for his performance. Gwen was actually able to get Braiden to cut off some of his hair and sport a more edgy look.

Admittedly, I have not been a big fan of Braiden’s since the start. I never felt he had the vocal strength that the others did. However, this week he improved a lot both vocally and in terms of his stage presence. I still don’t think he should win the competition, but I think he earned his spot this week if he is saved once again.

Shelby Brown

Team Adam

“Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill

Shelby, Adam’s sole country artist, decides to sing “Go Rest High On That Mountain” in honor of her late grandfather. She wanted to choose a song that she could emotionally connect with, and this song was a favorite of her grandfather, which made it a suitable choice. In rehearsals, we see Adam gift his team member with a stuffed animal giraffe, which he promised her if she did well last week.

Undoubtedly, Shelby has an amazing voice. Specifically this week, she was able to incorporate her grit without going overboard. Unfortunately, I feel like her lack of differentiation may ultimately lead to her demise as she is one of the artists I always fail to remember afterwards. However, I am admittedly a harsher (but definitely not qualified) critic when it comes to country artists.

Korin Bukowski

Team Gwen

“Same Old Love” by Selena Gomez

For the second time, singer Korin was saved during the Live Saves last week. During rehearsals, Gwen advises Korin to bring all the “drama” and personality to her performance that she can, because “that’s who [Korin] is.” While giving her tips, it almost looks like Gwen is coaching her mini-me.

I wasn’t a huge fan of her performance this week. She kind of went a weird route with the styling, as blaring red lights flashed above her while she wore a full red suit. She wasn’t really able to have any breakout moments this time around, and the chorus fell flat. This might finally be the end of her lucky streak in the competition.

Amy Vachal

Team Adam

“Bye, Bye, Bye” by NSYNC

Amy explains how she has continued to take “twists and turns around the musical genres” throughout the season. This week is no exception, as she and Adam decide to go with a bluesy take on the infamous boy band hit. From her rehearsals, it seems like Amy once again has it in the bag.

And…She did not disappoint. Probably one of my favorite performances thus far, Amy’s rendition played up both the fragile aspects of her soft-spoken voice and the stronger, powerful qualities. In addition, I think she is feeling more at ease on the stage, which complemented the well-chosen visuals that surrounded her.

Jordan Smith

Team Adam

“Hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley

Jordan opts to go with a haunting rendition of the classic song, “Hallelujah.” Him and his coach, Adam, decide to reconfigure the song so that it emphasizes the build-up of both his vocals and the instrumentals from beginning to end.

I was initially a bit hesitant with Jordan’s song choice, as it is obviously a popular song for singing competitions (and thus, can be boring and predictable). However, he was able to bring his artistry to the song in a tasteful manner, which is tough with a song like “Hallelujah.” Unsurprisingly, Jordan was able to once again showcase his incredible range and dynamics.

Zach Seabaugh

Team Blake

“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen

The resident heartthrob of this season, Zach Seabaugh, decides to put a more modern twist on the Queen hit. The song, which was originally written as a tribute to Elvis, fits right into Zach’s established wheelhouse.

Throwing it back to his first live performance, Zach brings out all of his dance moves – including his now signature gyrations. This week, Zach had much more stable vocals, and his dance moves definitely won over the in-house crowd and most likely the viewers at home. I think he’s found his sweet spot in the competition.

Madi Davis

Team Pharrell

“Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper

Madi has a lot to prove, as she is the last member of Team Pharrell. Ultimately, Madi decides to bring her own stripped down, alternative twist to the Lauper hit.

Madi seems to have borrowed a trick from Team Adam’s Amy Vachal’s playbook, as she brought a unique take on a popular song. Madi owned it, as she embellished the slowed-down rendition with her strong, powerful vocals. I was surprised that she was able to manipulate the song so much but managed to keep it feeling smooth and not over-worked. Fortunately, I think Madi is here for at least another week, keeping coach Pharrell in the competition.

Barrett Baber

 Team Blake

“I Wanna Lay You Down” by Conway Twitty

The last singer of the night was Team Blake’s Barrett Baber. Barrett opts for a Conway Twitty song, as the singer is also from Arkansas State and wants to pay tribute to it.

During his performance, Barrett decides to play his guitar and stay seated. Therefore, I didn’t feel captivated by his performance, as he wasn’t bringing anything new to the stage. Ultimately, if it were up to me, I would say Barrett should be the next to go home. However, with all the country fans out there I have a feeling that won’t be the case.

And that’s it for tonight’s performances!

You can catch the Live Results tomorrow, as host Carson Daly announces which 9 singers will move on to next week’s performances. The Voice airs tomorrow, December 1st on NBC at 8 pm.

Heroes & Zeros: Black Religious Leaders & Chris Rock

0

heores zeros black religious leaders 2015 chris rock opinionThe latest heroes and zero are a group of black religious pastors who tell Trump “hell no” and an actor/comedian (Chris Rock) who’s not sure if he has an adoptive daughter?

bishop clarence mcclendon hero 2015 opinionHero- Black Religious Leaders

Now here is why they are heroes this week in my book- they stood up to Donald Trump. When I heard that some pretty big name black religious leaders were talking about meeting with him, as the mothers of the church say, it just didn’t sit right with my spirit.

Several black pastors, according to CNN and several other outlets, were invited to meet with Donald Trump on November 30th. We are told that they were set to endorse him for president, but the event has been cancelled by Trump’s camp and reports are saying that it has everything to do with the black leaders saying, “Hells no.”

Los Angeles-area pastor Bishop Clarence McClendon was one of the men invited to the gathering but clarified via Facebook on Friday what the purpose of the meeting.

“The meeting was presented not as a meeting to endorse but a meeting to engage in dialogue.”

Not all religious leaders invited were as diplomatic as McClendon when speaking about their invite. Senior Pastor of The Holy Ghost Cathedral and star of “Preachers of Detroit,” Bishop Corletta Vaughn, was a lot more open and honest about not attending nor endorsing Trump.

“Trump is an insult and embarrassment. But he represents the country we have become… “ZERO experience … Flaunting a ticket of unbridled bigotry, sexism, racism and everything that is wrong with America,” she said via Facebook mid last week.

The thing about the situation is that it was clearly marketed as a “meeting of the minds” so to speak where 100 of the most influential black evangelicals and religious leaders would come together and endorse Trump for the GOP at the Trump Tower.

“On Monday, Mr. Trump will host an informational meet and greet with many members of the Coalition of African American Ministers. This is not a press event, but a private meeting, after which, a number of attendees are expected to endorse Mr. Trump’s campaign for President.”

How this even became a thing that they believed would happen is beyond me. The majority of black folks are not messing with Trump because he is indeed “disrespectful” among a host of other things. I mean, Trump, you allow black protestors to be brutally beaten at your rallies without chastising those involved, and you expect black leaders to look past that; come the hell on?

For telling Trump to “suck it” and for standing up for their beliefs, the religious leaders who turned down Trump’s invite are definitely heroes.

Zero- Chris Rock

There is no doubt that funnyman Chris Rock has been busy within the last year, in particular with his divorce. But how could he have forgotten that he and his wife adopted a little girl from Africa while they were married? Well, the answer to that is simple- he didn’t forget he just refuses to acknowledge her. This makes him a super duper zero in my book.

It’s tough when you are famous and going through a divorce I get it, but the reports about Chris Rock not claiming the South African girl who had been living as his and Malaak Compton-Rock’s daughter since she was six months old are disheartening.

The story goes, or rather a part of the story is that she was in the U.S. on a visitor visa “for pleasure.” Her real father, Crispen Khanyile, spoke to TMZ in an attempt to shed some light on the situation since he and the girl’s mother were broke and already caring for two children at the time of Ntombi’s birth.

Now per TMZ, who reported that Rock “never signed legal documents to adopt her and bringing her into the country was his estranged wife’s doing,” his reps have also stated that he does not have an adopted child.

My question is how do you just disconnect from a child that has been living with you since she was six months old? Adopted or not, I would imagine that you still hold some kind of affection for the baby. It has been reported that Rock hasn’t seen his ex-wife or Ntombi since he filed for divorce almost a year ago.

Even with all the speculations surrounding the girl’s adoption status, Chris Rock seeming not to want anything to do with her is “Zero” behavior.

Brandon Marshall & Eric Decker: Quietly NFL’s Best Wide Receivers

0

brandon marshall eric decker quietly best wide receivers in nfl 2015 imagesBrandon Marshall & Eric Decker Quietly the Best Wide Receiver Duo in NFL this Season

Everyone can name the best wide receivers in the NFL this season. No matter the order, guys like Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr, Julio Jones, and DeAndre Hopkins come to mind. Not many people would mention New York Jets receivers Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in their top five or maybe even ten.

Taken together. However, they’re the best duo in the NFL.

Decker and Marshall have combined for over 122 receptions and 17 touchdowns this season as the Jets offensive leaders and favorite targets of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Those numbers include Marshall’s two touchdowns and Decker’s scoring grab in the Jets 38-20 blowout victory against the Miami Dolphins Sunday.

That win marks the sixth game this season in which both Decker and Marshall have caught a touchdown in the same game. Six games. The duo is only one shy of the NFL record of seven set by Minnesota Vikings greats Randy Moss and Cris Carter back in the 1998 season.

Everyone knew Marshall was great, and the only concern for him was his age, but Decker has certainly earned a lot more respect this season. Leading the league in drops with Peyton Manning as your quarterback does not a good receiver make; however, Decker has proven that he can actually hold on to the damn ball over the past two seasons with the Jets. In fact, Decker has caught a touchdown in all but two of his starts this season, bringing his total to eight through 11 games. No bad for the former drop king.

The Jets are 6-5 after their victory, but they will need more from Marshall and Decker in order to stay alive in the tight AFC Wild Card race. The Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs are all 6-5 right now, and the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills are both knocking on the door at 5-6.

Of course, either the Texans or Colts will win the AFC South, but that still doesn’t allow for much breathing room. Marshall and Decker will need to break that record if they want to continue playing into January.

Premier League Game Week 14 Soccer Review

Premier League Game Week 14 soccer review 2015 imagesManchester City are back at the top of the Premier League table after an impressive victory over Saints at the Etihad Stadium. Leicester City are second in the league after a 1 – 1 draw at home against Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United.

Leicester City played host to the 20-time English champions in the late kick-off on Saturday and went ahead in the 24th minute as Jamie Vardy netted his 14th goal of the season. The England international broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of 10 consecutive Premier League games with a goal. Claudio Ranieri’s men have the same points tally as Pellegrini’s City but they are second in the league because of inferior goal difference.

Manchester United have dropped back to the third spot after the draw at the King Power Stadium. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored his first Premier League goal just before the half-time break, but it wasn’t enough to earn all three points. In the post-match conference, Van Gaal seemed frustrated with the stalemate and cited that they had some good opportunities to win the game in the second half.

The Premier League champions, Chelsea, were involved in a goalless draw at White Hart Lane. Neither side could find a breakthrough, and all the off-field antics of Diego Costa grabbed all the headlines. The Brazilian-born striker threw his bib towards Jose Mourinho after the latter’s decision of not using his services in the London derby. The incident went unnoticed by the Portuguese manager, but when he was made aware of it, he played down the incident. Mourinho said, “If he wants to hurt me it would not be with a bib. I have a good relationship with him.”

The North London club, Arsenal, are yet again struggling because of injuries to the main players. Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielny have joined the treatment room after the 1 – 1 draw at Norwich. Arsene Wenger will find it very hard to grind results with some of his best players unavailable in the busiest period of the Premier League season.

Jurgen Klopp won his first match at Anfield as Liverpool defeated Garry Monk’s Swansea 1 – 0 on Sunday. James Milner scored a penalty in the 62nd minute to earn three more points for his side. The Merseyside giants have climbed up to the sixth spot in the league table, and they are only six points behind the leaders, Manchester City and Leicester.

Crystal Palace were the big winners of the weekend as they thumped five goals past the troubled Newcastle United team. Newcastle are now 19th in the league table, only ahead of Aston Villa, who are already five points far from safety.

Aston Villa lost 2 – 3 to Watford on Saturday, thereby making it 11 losses and two draws in 14 matches. The good news for the Villans is that it is still very early, and they can definitely turn it around if they start making amendments soon. The league table looks incredibly tight as Man City and the 12th placed Watford are separated by only 10 points after 14 game weeks.
