So it seems that the folks over at Love and Hip Hop are scrambling as it has been reported that one of its main “stars” has quit the show. Ray J is not coming back to the Hollywood franchise because he feels that the negativity and the stupidity that surrounds the show has sabotaged his relationship with Princess Love. Angelil who is 73 years old, has to be fed via a feeding tube because of the cancer.

This is such a heartbreaking and sad situation. Cancer is never easy and for it to be as aggressive as it is,  it definitely taking a toll on he singer.

Dion has known her husband pretty much her whole life as he has been her manager since the age of 12. They have three sons together whom she walks through the process of their father’s battle as well.

One commenter said “But you didn’t graduate tho” to which Diddy tells the younging to …” address me as Doctor Combs… Lol it’s all love.” He has an honorary doctorate from the HBCU.

I love these responses because let’s face it… it’s Diddy. He truly has no worries and people trolling his account or any famous person’s account with negative things to say just hates their lives because they don’t have the money, clout or freedom that they do.

Malik Yoba Sets the Record Straight

I am sure you were just as shocked as I was when Rhonda killed Vernon during Empire’s season finale. Well, of course the rumors started swirling about why Lee Daniels and Fox decided to get rid of Malik Yoba’s character, with many news places citing drug use as the reason.

Yoba has since taken to social media and has spoken to media outlets to set the record straight.

“Lee called me and told me…He said that, um, someone at Fox said that someone needed to die in the season finale. So, I was like ‘Word?”

Yoba goes on further to say,

“To this day, I don’t know — in the infinite wisdom — who thought it was the best approach, but someone did. I never got a clear answer on it. But it wasn’t about the work or ethics or work ethics. It was the plot line.”

While Yoba maintains that it was not drug related and he is not using, a source close to the show says that he was indeed fired because of his substance abuse.

Will Windows make another big licensing mess with Windows 10 or have they finally learned their lesson?

Licensing software. That’s how Microsoft makes most of its money. Microsoft made its first big bucks when it licensed its version of BASIC to Altair. The same thing happened when it licensed PC-DOS to IBM but retained the rights to sell the operating system to other companies. Big mistake in IBM’s part, but all that is history. Microsoft is now the world’s largest software company which sells its software through retail and various licensing schemes. Its biggest money maker is its Windows operating system, with its various versions and editions is used in over 90 percent of desktops and laptops worldwide. Windows is sold through retail, through OEM partners and through limited to volume licenses to various companies.

The amount consumers and customers pay for licensed versions of Windows used to be ridiculously high, justified by free customer support, updates and possibly upgrades for the lifetime of the software which is often five to ten years. That high amount is cited as the main reason that Windows is also the world’s most pirated software. Many users can afford to forgo the free customer support and other benefits since most need only the base installation to make their computers run. Disconnected from the internet, a base Windows/Office installation works just fine. Properly cracked or installed using pirated volume license keys, pirated Windows versions have the same usability and updates as genuine Windows versions.

Windows 10 will soon be upon us which is a major version change skipping Windows 9 altogether. Along with this uncanny version skip, Microsoft also announced a major change in how it sells this new operating system. Announced last January, within one year of the new operating system’s release, users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1, including Windows Phone are entitled to a free upgrade to Windows 10 via Windows Update. What’s out of this world is the recent announcement that this free upgrade includes pirated versions of the software which Microsoft affectionately refers to as ‘non-genuine’.

For the first time, users won’t need to grumble about spending another fortune to be able to use a new version of Windows. They can upgrade their computers at night and wake up to a new version of Windows in the morning. These users include individuals and businesses running Windows 7 and 8.1, and all for free. Pirated copies will also be included in Microsoft’s grand plan for a Windows 10 hegemony that includes possible Skype and Office 365 subscriptions. If Windows 10 is internally similar to Windows 8.1 in terms of speed and stability, upgrading is not at all a bad idea.

Such an offer could also be a ploy to get people to purchase licensed copies of Windows 8.1 and even Windows 7 for their systems and finally leave Windows XP which Microsoft no longer considers part of the program. Offering something for free often makes people think twice and consider getting something even if they don’t really need it. Like customers spending five dollars more to make two hundred just so they could get that free umbrella at the counter. After leaving XP, users could play around with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 for a year before deciding on that juicy free upgrade or decide to stay with what they purchased if they like it. Either way, Microsoft wins. They’ll be in that program which excludes Windows XP and will have to upgrade sooner or later to stay in that program.

However, there’s really no such thing as a free lunch. There’s often a catch, an asterisk, then a footnote and there’s that fine piece of text at the bottom only those with 20/20 vision can read and an IQ of 100 can understand. The word ‘free’ has such an ambiguous meaning which could lead to financial disaster unless properly clarified. Microsoft later clarified that not all versions of Windows 7 and 8.1 will be free; that Enterprise versions of Windows 7 and 8.1 will not be included and that upgraded non-genuine versions will remain non-genuine. So pirates don’t really get it free but they do get a free chance to go legit. Also, allowing pirated versions to be upgraded yet maintaining their non-genuine status seems fair enough. What’s a few bucks to be free of that itch called guilt and to be qualified for free support, not to mention being free from any lawsuits? Windows prices have been dropping anyway (upgrading to Windows 8 was offered at 14 dollars) unless that pirated version is an Enterprise edition. The Enterprise versions have been excluded since users could afford to purchase these expensive versions anyway and pay for paid upgrades. As for Windows RT, for all intents and purposes, it’s dead to Microsoft; a shame really because it could have been their ARM tablet platform.

Microsoft has clarified what versions are due for their free upgrades. As for OEMs, they will still have to pay their licenses of Windows 10 for new computers. And what about the stuff they already have? They can upgrade their Windows 7 and 8.1 inventory when Windows 10 comes out but what about their old licenses?

For the folks who buy into Microsoft’s program an upgrade, what happens when the one-year period is done? Since the upgrade will be done through Windows Update, will Microsoft be able to record the original Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 license and maintain eligibility should they need to reinstall Windows 10? If not, those who do upgrade may actually have to buy Windows 10 should their system crash or needs to be reformatted after the free period is done. If so, users of Windows XP will be inclined to purchase Windows 7 and anticipate the free upgrade and be eligible onwards. The plot thickens for the last remaining holdouts. Microsoft will have to further clarify what happens next to really entice everyone to do an upgrade and be part of Microsoft’s new world.

As for retail, after the free period, will Microsoft start selling Windows 10 as various editions with different licensing schemes like before? To the ordinary consumer and even to businesses, licensing can be confusing. Forums abound with questions about the limits of use of OEM and retail copies whether they can be reused or transferred and even the limitations of the editions they use. Microsoft now has a chance to revolutionize how they license Windows the way they now sell Skype services and Office 365. In Microsoft’s planned hegemony, it would be great to have just one edition running on all desktops, laptops and hybrids, limited only by the specs of the devices. With Windows 10 set to run on a wide variety of devices, it makes sense to be simple. Just a suggestion, Windows 10 for 10 bucks a pop whether it be a retail copy or an upgrade whatever device it is. It will be a lot simpler for partners, customers, consumers and even pirates.

Grapefruit League Week 2 Review 2015 & Top Performers

The spring training is rolling along in Florida as teams in the GrapeFruit league prepare for the upcoming season. As opening day sits less than two weeks away we get a chance to take a look at which teams have performed well as well as which players stand out between the 15 teams in the Grape Fruit League.

The American League East represents the top two records in league as the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays both sit at 12-9 mid way through the spring. The two teams have stacked up pretty similar as the Yankees have scored 88 runs this spring versus just 77 runs allowed while the Blue Jays have scored 89 runs but have allowed 81 runs.

As you look at these two teams each of them have the talent to contend in 2015 with their current rosters. The main concern for the Yankees will come with their health and age as the team has experienced some key injuries last year including to pitchers Ivan Nova, Masahiro Tanaka and C.C. Sabathia. Along with the starters the team also lost first baseman Mark Teixeira and outfielder Carlos Beltran for a significant portion of time.

For the Blue Jays the results this spring look encouraging for a team that was very busy this off-season bringing in Josh Donaldson, Justin Smoak and Russell Martin to provide more fire power in the lineup. That has worked as the three have combined to hit six home runs while driving in 12 runs in just 100 at bats this spring.

The one surprising team this spring has been the New York Mets who have scored the most runs in the entire league. This has helped the club post a 12-10 record while outscoring their opponents by 28 runs this spring. That being said no one really looks at the standings or statistics during the spring to gauge how a team will do during the regular season.

The key behind the Mets attack this spring has been newly acquired outfielder Michael Cuddyer along with a healthy David Wright. Cuddyer who spent the past few seasons with the Colorado Rockies is hitting .351 this spring with four doubles, five home runs and six runs knocked in. Wright on the other hand is hitting .303 with one double, three home runs and 10 runs batted in.

While the spring has been great for some teams a few teams have struggled early on including the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles. The Tigers enter this week with the worst Grapefruit record at 7-14 while the Orioles sit just two games behind at 9-13. For each of these teams their struggles have come with their pitching. The Orioles have allowed the fifth most runs in the league while the Tigers have allowed the second most.

We expect both of these teams to rebound over the next few weeks as teams start to reduce in size and the starters continue to go deeper into ball games. The Tigers enter 2015 with some concerns as Victor Martinez is coming off an injury and Miguel Cabrera is just starting his spring regimen. On the flip side the team found a way to acquire Yoenis Cespedes to anchor the outfield as well as provide the team another power bat in the middle of the lineup.

Now that we took a look at how some of the teams are performing in the Grapefruit League we will turn out attention to which players are performing the best through the first few weeks of spring training. Along with Cuddyer of the Mets, J.D. Martinez of the Detroit Tigers have stood out for us early on. The Tigers outfielder is hitting .349 in 15 games this spring with three doubles, five home runs and nine runs batted in.

The Orioles will look to use Pearce in multiple roles during the upcoming season including in the outfield as well as first base.

Main draw play has begun at the 2015 Miami Masters, a tournament that is also known as the Miami Open. Action on Wednesday, which saw several first-round matches completed, did not feature any of the key players in the draw. However the top players are scheduled to begin their efforts in Miami soon, including tournament favorite and World No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic, a winner in Miami on four previous occasions, is fresh off of a title from Indian Wells last week. The Serbinator appears to be all the more convincing of a favorite given that the Miami draw is without Roger Federer, Djokovic’s main hard court rival. Another key hard courter missing from the tournament is Marin Cilic, the reigning US Open champion.

With Federer missing from the draw Andy Murray, a finalist from Melboure Park in January, is considered to be the second favorite in Miami. The Scot has won the Masters Series 1000 event a couple of times, including recently as he won the event in 2013. However Murray has also had some poor showings at the tournament, with losses to Alex Bogomolov Jr., Mardy Fish, and Mario Ancic.

Murray, the third seed in Miami, is opposite the draw of Djokovic and hence the two players could not meet until the final. But if the tournament’s seeds held up then tennis fans would have plenty of matches to look forward to ahead of the final. The quarterfinals, which would be played next week, could look like this:

Djokovic, Murray, and Nadal will always make major headlines whenever they are a part of a tennis tournament. However a major story in Miami this week has to do with another player, one not seeded in the tournament. Argentina’s Juan Martin del Potro is set to make his return to competitive tennis having only contested one event since ATP Dubai 2014. Delpo, who is currently ranked just 616th in the world, is starving for ranking points and he’ll be looking for some wins in a big tour event to get back into contention on tour.

But having not played much competitive tennis in the last year, the Argentine will do well in Miami just to make the second round. Del Potro will face Canadian Vasek Pospisil in the opening round with the winner to face 9th seeded Grigor Dimitrov. That isn’t exactly the kind of draw you want if you are looking to find a groove and it could make Delpo’s American hard court swing a very short one.

Americans in the event are numerous however there are virtually none with a reasonable chance of winning the 2015 Miami Masters. John Isner remains the biggest hope for the USA, however he’s well outside of the top ten favorites in the event. Sportingbet, a sportsbook, have Isner priced at 150 to 1 to win the 2015 Miami Masters, odds that may underrate him a tad.

Other Americans in the draw include Ryan Harrison, Steve Johnson, Jack Sock, Sam Querrey, Donald Young, and Tim Smyczek. All of those players combined might only have about a 2% chance of winning the tournament although Jack Sock, who won his first round match, could negotiate his way to the fourth round as he now shares a section with Fabio Fognini, Dominic Thiem, and Feliciano Lopez.

The final of the 2015 Miami Masters is scheduled for Sunday, April 5th. From the onset it clearly appears to be Djokovic’s tournament to lose, especially with Federer missing from the draw.

After going through some major controversy like Adrian Peterson has, you would think the player would be happy to have NFL teams ready to keep them on, but Peterson is showing the opposite and hoping not to have to fulfill his three year remaining contract. It’s interesting that he’s going out of his way to stir up so much media after all the scrutiny he went through, he seems fine to continue on with it. The Vikings are expecting him to stay, but he wants to go, so it will be interesting to see how this dysfunctional relationship turns out next season.

Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer reiterated the organization’s stance on the status of tailback Adrian Peterson, saying he expects Peterson to honor his contract and play for the team in 2015.

“I’m not going to speculate on what he wants or doesn’t want,” Zimmer said. “Adrian’s under contract for three more years with us, and that’s why you sign those contracts. That’s why you get these big bonuses, you know?”

He later stated emphatically: “We have no plans to trade Adrian.”

Zimmer’s comments reflected those made by co-owner Mark Wilf and general manager Rick Spielman earlier this week at the NFL owners meetings. Peterson’s agent, Ben Dogra, said Monday that he didn’t think it was in Peterson’s best interest to remain in Minnesota after pleading guilty to charges related to injuries his son suffered last summer.

Zimmer met with Peterson earlier this month and has spoken to him on other occasions. He expressed hope that Peterson would revise his stance and suggested it would be the best decision for his long-term legacy.

“I think when he goes into the Hall of Fame, he’s going to want to go in with the jersey that everyone remembers him as,” Zimmer said. “That will be as a Viking.”

Commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that the NFL still considers April 15 as the relevant date for a decision on Peterson’s reinstatement despite his appeal of the suspension he was issued by the NFL last year. Goodell said the NFL continues to examine the case and he expects to meet with Peterson again before that April deadline.

Recent speculation has linked the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals as teams that might have interest in trading for Peterson. Cardinals coach Bruce Arians was asked about Peterson on Wednesday and quickly changed the subject.

“You trying to get me fired? That’s tampering, dude,” he said. “I can’t talk about another player. I ain’t saying jack about Adrian Peterson. I’d get fined for that.”

After missing nearly the entire 2014 NFL season due to his child abuse scandal, Adrian Peterson was setting himself up for problems in 2015. Those problems began at the Scouting Combine when Peterson’s agent Ben Dogra had to be separated from the Minnesota Vikings Vice President Rob Brzezinski, after which Dogra made it clear that the 2012 NFL MVP would never wear a Vikings uniform again.

The Vikings have met with Peterson twice in March in an attempt to rebuild those burnt bridges. General Manager Rick Spielman and head coach Mike Zimmer had a home visit to talk to their star running back early in the month, and then more recently Peterson met with owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf along with Spielman in New York City.

At both of these meetings, Peterson expressed his concerns and uneasiness with continuing his career in Minnesota. Despite AP’s message to the top dogs in the organization, the Vikings have made it clear that they will not release Peterson, who is still under contract with the Vikings through 2017.

Things between Peterson and the Vikings aren’t getting any better: last Saturday Dogra denied an invitation from Spielman to meet over dinner during the upcoming NFL Owner’s meetings in Arizona.

Now the Vikings are faced with a difficult decision—keep the 30 year old back in 2015 and pay him $13 million in hopes that he will play to his full potential, or trade him and his huge contract to some willing team with a lot of cap space.

Well, the Vikings wouldn’t be smart to get rid of the best running back in the NFL. Peterson will be reinstated on April 15th, and the Vikings have made no attempt to replace their superstar.

“Adrian’s a member of our football team,” said Spielman. “He’s under contract with us. We are focused on the 2015 season and expect Adrian to be part of that. Our whole focus is getting ready for that season with Adrian.”

From a purely football perspective, the Vikings should do all they can to retain their star running back and make him happy. Norv Turner is trying to build a well-balanced offense around young quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. The Vikings have already brought in Mike Wallace this offseason, a speedy receiver who will help spread out the defense and make things easier on Peterson. In return, Peterson’s rushing will help free up Wallace down the field.

On top of that, it would be almost impossible for a trade involving Adrian Peterson to work out in the Vikings favor. Peterson is worth a lot, so the Vikings would certainly expect a lot in return for him. In other words, the Vikings would need to find a team willing to give up a couple of 1st round draft picks and maybe a superstar as well for Peterson and his tremendous salary—$13 million in 2015, $15 million in 2016, and $18 million in 2017.

The whole situation is just a mess. Peterson was a huge distraction for the team in 2014, and it is already clear that the distractions will continue this coming season. The Vikings have a lot of things to consider, as keeping an unhappy superstar on the roster could be setting the franchise up for a disaster in 2015. Also, good luck restricting his contract if they decide to keep him against his own wishes.

At the end of the day, Adrian Peterson is a fantastic player despite his off the field problems. The Vikings will need to decide whether or not Peterson is a distraction would having.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash is walking away from the game of basketball after 19 seasons in the NBA. Nash, 41, has had nothing but injury problems since arriving in Los Angeles in 2012; and he actually has not played a game yet this season.

“To now realize that it’s over, it’s really difficult to put into words,” said Nash.

During his 19 years in the NBA, Nash won NBA MVP in 2005 and 2006, securing his place as one of the best players in Phoenix Suns history. Nash was also the undisputed captain of the Suns during his eight seasons with the team between 2004 and 2012. In fact, for nine seasons straight Nash led his team to the rank of No. 1 offense in the NBA—2001-2002 with the Dallas Mavericks and then 2002-2009 with the Suns.

Nash is also third in all-time career assists, so it was no surprise that the Lakers wanted him before the 2012 season. Unfortunately, due to his injuries that trade backfired on the Lakers: four draft picks and $28 million later, Nash was a Laker. His time with the Lakers was not at all indicative of the rest of his career; Nash simply couldn’t stay healthy. A broken bone in his leg, multiple knee and hamstring issues, and a string of back problems kept Nash on the sideline for 99 games over his first two seasons with the squad.

Nash was the star point guard at Santa Clara before being drafted 15th overall to the Suns. After two seasons of riding the bench in Phoenix, Nash was traded to Dallas in 1998.

“I remember when Dirk and I were nobodies,” said Nash. “He used to say over dinner sometimes, ‘How are us two stiffs gonna make it in this league?’ Somehow we made something of ourselves. After all the wins and all the great times we’ve had around the world together, what really means the most to me are the late nights early in our careers when we’d go back to the Landry Center in Dallas, to play a few more games of H-O-R-S-E and one-on-one.”

The night that began with Tony Parker visiting the Hawks locker room to chat with Spurs former assistant coach Mike Budenholzer, ended with the defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs teaching the best team in the Eastern Conference—Bud’s Atlanta Hawks—a tough lesson in their 114-95 victory over the Hawks in Philips Arena in Atlanta on Sunday.

That lesson: everything the Hawks have worked so hard to build this season, their 50 win season, can all be undone in the playoffs or any other win-or-go-home situation.

The Hawks have now lost three games in a row for the first time this season. The Spurs exposed the Hawks deficiencies and really got under their skin. The Hawks lacked the physicality and big men they needed to compete with the Spurs; and by mid-way through the third quarter, Bud got himself ejected with two technical fouls for yelling at the officials—his first early exit as a head coach.

“Varsity is schooling the JV,” joked one Hawks fan during halftime of the matchup as reported by NBA.com. It was that kind of night for the fans—their team has now lost to the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Spurs. Sure, all three of these teams are in the Western Conference; but after their fantastic regular season, the Hawks are expected to make it to the 2015 NBA Finals. A playoff series loss anywhere in the early rounds would be considered an upset.

Well, let’s say the Hawks make it to the Finals. Odds are they’ll be facing one of these three teams. The Hawks simply haven’t been the same team since the All-Star Break, and big losses to the top teams in the West do not bode well for the Birds moving forward.

With an eight game lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers for 1st place in the East, the Hawks will have no problem securing the top seed. The question now becomes how much they will be able to do with their top-dog status in the playoffs.

With just four episodes left in the entire series, ‘Justified‘ went with an old fashioned western bar scene this week. ‘Burned’ centered on a pizza parlor gathering complete with free whiskey and a white hatted Marshal propped up at the bar. The towns people were all together to hear speeches about the future of Harlan. I liked the feel of the show, but I can’t say the story had much new to add from what we’ve been seeing most of this season.

The big reveal of the rat in the old Grady Hale case came to an anticlimactic head when Art and Raylan paid a visit to Wynn Duffy as he was tanning himself in his personal booth. The season long build up to see who snitched on Katherine Hale’s old man ended with a file folder shoved toward Duffy and he simply admitted his dirty deeds against his own kind. More shocking than the rat reveal was that FX got approval to show Duffy in his tanning attire for the second time this season. Pretty disturbing to viewers once again.

Duffy got pressured into helping the Marshals again as Raylan gets him to push Boyd toward stupidity by making him believe that Markham is going to move all his cash that very night. Duffy agrees to help and his boy Mikey is none too pleased with his boss. Duffy tells him that’s how you survive in the criminal world and that Hale, Markham, nor Boyd would have an issue doing the same thing to them if the need arose.

Seabass, last remaining member of Markham’s Jarhead Clan, proved the group’s incompetence once again. He managed to get his brains blown all over Katherine Hale’s hotel room walls after barging in on her and Markham to demand money. Hale is a cold blooded lady, Seabass an idiot.

I wondered if Ava was going to tell Boyd about what she told Raylan at the end of last week’s episode. She did and I still don’t know who she is siding with though it appears she is just going to play both sides of the law until the very last second. Duffy lays the trap for Boyd moving on the safe during the pizza party. Boyd lets money blind him once again as he tells wacko Zachariah that they have to move up the scheduled explosion. I’m sure this is going to end well.

Loretta McCready finds a dead rattlesnake in her living room floor. Pretty weird even for a teenage marijuana expert grower. The reptile was left there for her by a new to the scene freak named Boon. This six shooter toting weirdo is another of Markham’s goons who fancies himself the next Billy The Kid. Boon is sure to meet the same fate as William H. Bonney once he crosses Raylan Givens‘ path a few times. He is trying to intimidate Loretta once again over her precious land.

Loretta goes to Boyd Crowder for help. She knows how to grow all the weed needed once it becomes legal, but she wants his help with security and distribution. Boyd’s eyes lit up as he began telling her how they might go about this plan and I wondered what the hell he was even talking about. Is he going to rob Markham and bounce or is he going to be a hippy lettuce farmer, in it for the long haul? He switches gears and tells her he will help with the land situation so she can do her thing and he will provide the muscle and distribution. I’m guessing he thinks he can run all that from a secluded island after the big heist he is planning. Too many plans that are too big for his limited means.

The pizza parlor party gets going and Raylan is glad to find the whiskey is free at the bar and he sure does consume quite a bit for a man who will need to stop a big robbery involving dynamite later on in the evening. Loretta shows up at the party that Markham is throwing and Raylan offers her his land at a fair price. This youngster is going to be running Harlan if things go her way. Lunatic Boon shows up next to Loretta as she speaks to Givens. There is a great exchange between the Marshal and this new thug who doesn’t even know who John Wayne is. He tells Raylan he isn’t like the jarheads that were so easily disposed of, but Raylan is not very impressed as usual.

Markham got around to making his little speech about how he was trying to help Harlan with new industry. Boyd offered his two cents as he made it clear that the man was an outsider with no interest in helping Harlan folks. Pretty hypocritical from the guy threatening land owners not to sell their own property. Loretta cut Boyd off as she jumped on Markham while pointing out just how out of place his girlfriend was in Harlan. Katherine Hale really did seem out of place there. To Boyd’s surprise, Loretta makes it known they will be partners in the new legal weed biz. Raylan wasn’t happy about this news as he later told her how she was going to get caught up with a man that “could be either arrested or dead later that night.” The young lady has always been pretty stubborn and now she has gained plenty of confidence. She is half loose cannon and half super savvy.

Wynn Duffy in the mine with Boyd is like seeing a Art in a tanning bed. Dude is out of his element. And how dumb is Boyd to keep going with this idiotic plan to steal the safe money? Raylan is right there in the bar! Ava tells Raylan the details of the plan and that she is to set a fire so the place clears out. He tells her she “best get to it.” I’ve never seen a law man more anxious to get a crime started.

In the mine things go badly for Boyd as crazy old Zachariah whacks him on the head and chains his leg to a post as he lights the fuse to the explosives. Boyd’s in a tight spot! Zachariah tells him he will be buried by his own greed and he is exactly right. Luckily for Boyd, Carl had more loyalty than Boyd has shown to his people lately. Carl gets back in time to give Boyd a hammer so he can free himself. He escapes a greedy death and he along with his crew escape the mine shaft alive as Tim and Rachel watch. Boyd is saved from sure capture because of his own stupid plans falling apart. Raylan must be pulling his hair out over Boyd’s inability to get anything right. Hard to arrest a man who can’t seem to get to the actual crime.

Boyd is quite pissed about nearly being buried alive and he takes it out on Ava, thinking she made Zachariah turn on him. Her defense was that she warned him that her uncle was crazy from the start. Rachel is just as mad as Boyd. She takes out her hostility on Raylan. She wants to see some results from this investigation. Raylan is better at wrapping things up with a gun shot than elaborate set ups.

The story has sort of stagnated this year, but the characters are still fun to watch. I think they could have wrapped the show up last year instead of going through the motions of an unnecessary story line this year. I’m still enjoying the ride, more for the people than the events though.

The European giants are 14 points behind the third placed, Lazio, who have amassed 52 points so far.

Roberto Mancini’s Inter are showing no signs of getting back to their best. The 2010 Champions League winners lost 1 – 0 to Sampdoria, registering their ninth defeat of the season. Citadin Martins’ 65th minute strike separated the two sides and allowed Sampdoria to climb above Napoli to the fourth spot.

Inter boss Mancini revealed that he didn’t expect that getting Inter back among European elites would be very hard. In an interview to Tuttosport, he said, “When I arrived I thought it would be difficult, but I didn’t know it was going to be so hard. “Podolski could have done more because he’s played several matches now. Carrizo? I have no regrets over using him in the Europa League,” added Mancini.

The Italian champions are inching closer to another Serie A title after each match week. On Sunday, they won 1 – 0 in Turin to Genoa. Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute.

Out of the relegation battlers, none recorded a change in points tally. Among the three teams in the relegation pit, Parma don’t stand any realistic chance. They lost 2 – 0 to Torino at home and have embarrassingly accumulated only nine points after 26 matches. Only a miracle can save their season now. One out of Cagliari and Cesena can practically escape the dreaded relegation zone. The 17th placed, Atalanta is at five points distance from them and they would most likely drop some points in the remaining ten fixtures.
