The club missed out on qualification to the Champions League last term after their defeat at the hands of Lazio. Manager Rafael Benitez went on to join Real Madrid, and the Neapolitans appointed former Empoli boss Maurizio Sarri at the helm. Sarri, for all the great work he did with Empoli, was still an unknown quantity, and Napoli did take a gamble in giving him the reins of the side.

The Partenpoi started their season with an opening day loss to Sassuolo; however, they have moved from strength to strength since and are unbeaten in their 12 league games, following that late August defeat. They have won eight times, including successive wins over title contenders Juventus, AC Milan and Fiorentina, and have drawn the other four to sit second in the league standings. They are just two points adrift of league leaders Inter Milan, who have a tally of 30 points from 13 matches.

Napoli will be up against Inter Milan next, and their title credentials will be further tested at the Stadio San Paolo on Monday night.

Inter Milan started their league campaign with a series of five successive, albeit unconvincing, wins. Their form then dipped, and they drew three and lost one of their next four games. However, they have recovered since and are on a four-game winning run in the league as they travel to Naples for their next game.

Roberto Mancini’s side, although the top of the league standings haven’t been the most convincing side in the Italian top flight this term. They have registered narrow 1-0 wins over AS Roma and AC Milan and were held to a scoreless 0-0 draw in the Italian derby against reigning Serie A champions and 2015 Champions League finalists Juventus at the San Siro in October. Their only defeat has come against Fiorentina, who inflicted a crushing 4-1 thrashing of Mancini’s men on Inter’s home turf.

The upcoming clash between Napoli and Inter Milan is promising to be an enticing encounter between two teams on top of the standings. The way Sarri’s men have played means that they will be favourites on Monday night.

For the Neapolitans, Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain has been in splendid form, having netted ten goals from his 13 league games thus far. Sarri has opted for a 4-3-3 formation in most of the games and has put hugely influential Lorenzo Insigne on the left wing, former Real Madrid winger, Jose Maria Callejon on the right wing while Higuain has played through the middle. Jorginho, Allan and Marek Hamsik have been pulling the strings from the midfield. The attacking football espoused by Sarri has earned him many admirers.

Mancini has opted for 4-2-3-1 and its variations in Inter’s games, but his experiments with other strategies have suggested that the former Manchester City is still trying to figure what is best for his side.

Napoli will start as favourites and a win for them will firmly underline their credentials for the league title.

nhl weekend preview monteal canadiens 2015 imagesHeading into the Black Friday weekend here in late November, the top headlines in the NHL are mostly about injuries. Most notably, the Montreal Canadiens, the current front-runners in the Eastern Conference, will be without Carey Price once again. The netminder and Vezina candidate will be out for at least a week, a situation that will give Mike Condon a chance to shine in goal again.

According to a recent NHL.com article:

“Price left the game Wednesday against the New York Rangers after two periods with the same lower-body injury that kept him out of the lineup for nine games from Oct. 30 through Nov. 19…Price’s right leg appeared to bend awkwardly when he was trying to move across the crease during a sequence in the second period.”

Other injury news in the league has afflicted the Edmonton Oilers. The winners of the draft lottery earlier this year have seen their fortunes slide in the last month. Edmonton seemed to have a chance at making the playoffs a month ago as the team came together under coach Todd McLlellan. However, the Connor McDavid long-term injury has been followed by a short-term one to Nail Yakupov (ankle sprain). While McDavid will be out for several months, Yakupov is expected to be back sometime in December.

Edmonton head into this weekend as the last place team in their division. With road games at Detroit on Friday (7:30 pm ET) and Pittsburgh on Saturday (7 pm ET), it doesn’t look like Edmonton will be turning things around anytime soon.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the current division leaders in the NHL are Montreal in the Atlantic, New York in the Metro, Dallas in the Central, and Los Angeles in the Pacific. However, the hottest teams at the moment are both Boston and Ottawa, the respective third and second place teams in the Atlantic Division behind Montreal. Boston host the Rangers on Friday afternoon (1 pm ET) while Ottawa will be in action in Glendale on Saturday night against the Arizona Coyotes (10 pm ET).

Hockey Night in Canada this weekend, as it does practically every weekend, will involve the Toronto Maple Leafs (7 pm ET Saturday). The second-last place team in the Atlantic will host the Washington Capitals in a game that should be two points for the latter. The night cap on the CBC will feature the Calgary Flames as they travel to California to take on the surprising San Jose Sharks. Not much was expected of San Jose after McLellan took the job in Edmonton. However, the Sharks are right there in the Pacific Division, just one point behind Los Angeles at the moment.

The points leader in the NHL is Patrick Kane. Chicago’s best right winger has 34 points on the season so far, enough to edge out both Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin for top spot. Kane also leads the league in assists at the moment with 21 while Benn leads the NHL in goals with 16. Defensively it is Henrik Lundqvist who has the best stats between the pipes. The Rangers’ goaltender has a 1.94 GAA and .939 save percentage to lead both categories in the NHL.

Kane will be in action against Anaheim on Friday night (5 pm ET), Benn and Seguin will be in Minnesota on Saturday night (8 pm ET), while the Lundqvist’s Rangers, as mentioned earlier, have a Friday matinee.

The Edmonton Eskimos are into the Grey Cup final for the first time in ten years, quite a lengthy absence when you consider how few teams there are in the CFL. The Esks, in a game that will come from Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, will face the Ottawa Redblacks, a franchise making its Grey Cup debut.

Edmonton, although they have not enjoyed any Grey Cup success since 2005, should be a confident team this weekend. The Esks dethroned Calgary in the Western Conference final, the franchise that has given Edmonton a lot of problems over the last decade. Furthermore, Edmonton enter the Grey Cup having won nine straight games, the playoffs and regular season combined. Lastly, Edmonton defeated Ottawa in both of the games that the two franchises played against one another this season, including one game by 29 points.

But besides this year’s events, Edmonton also have long-term history on their side. The Esks, despite not winning many championships lately, have won more than their fair share of Grey Cups overall. A win on Sunday would bring them their 14th, a mark that would be good enough for second all-time. The Redblacks, playing in just their second season, have no Grey Cups but even when you consider the achievements of other Ottawa-based CFL franchises, you still have to go back decades to find a championship for Canada’s capital city.

The 103rd edition of the Grey Cup will take place on Sunday with a start time of 6pm ET. TSN will have the television coverage, Quebec’s Bobby Bazini will sing the national anthem and American band Fall Out Boy will feature in the half-time show. While it’s been somewhat fashionable for the Prime Minister to find his way to the Grey Cup in the past, recently elected Justin Trudeau is not expected back from Europe until next week.

My hunch on the game is that the Esks will win in a cakewalk, defeating the Redblacks by double digits.

Black Friday is when you hear about every deal that sounds too good to be true, and that’s usually with good reason. Now there’s an app out there claiming to give you early access to all those amazing Amazon Black Friday deals before everyone else. The makes definitely knew how to hit that sweet spot we all have of wanting to be the first, but beware of this Android app. It is not at all what it claims to be and could wind up costing you some major headaches along with lessening your cash flow.

The security firm Zscaler Research first discovered the app, which the company says is designed to steal your personal information. When installed, the app apes the look of the Amazon icon to really sell the con.

Zscaler reports that once you open the app,  it will launch a completely different app called (com android engine). It will then ask you to grant the malware a slew of special permissions, including the ability to see your text messages, call logs, and contact information, as well as to send texts and make calls. It can even view your Web browser’s history. We’ve grown so accustomed to apps requesting that, it become instinctual to just hit ‘okay’, but that’s where all your headaches and holiday misery will begin.

Zscaler doesn’t say what the information the app is collecting could be used for, though apps of this nature can be designed to hold your data for ransom.

The biggest thing to remember about apps like this is that they have to be downloaded from a third-party URL, not the Google Play Store. And to even install the app, you have to allow third-party app installations in the Android Settings menu. So getting this thing on your phone isn’t exactly as easy as downloading your Facebook app.

real amazon app vs fake malware 2015It’s worth pointing out, however, that Amazon offers its own Underground app that you have to install in much the same way as this phony app. Amazon’s offering, though, provides you with free apps and games and doesn’t steal your information.

It’s obvious that the malicious app’s makers are targeting Amazon users who are familiar with the Amazon Underground app but may not be savvy enough to tell the difference between it and the malware.

Adrien Rabiot opened the scoring with his goal in the third minute of the game, summer-signing Angel di Maria scored a brace, while Ibrahimovic, who had booked the city square for Malmo fans to enjoy his return to his alma mater, got on the scoresheet in the 49th minute. Lucas Moura completed the scoring late in the second half. In the second game of the group, Real Madrid were 4-3 winners over Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos were in cruise control at 4-0 up, but gave up three late goals to the Ukrainians. The hosts were in the danger of conceding an equalising goal, but managed to hold on to a narrow win.

German side Wolfsburg were 2-0 winners on a difficult visit to CSKA Moscow in a Group B encounter to climb the top of the group as they attempt to secure their place in the round of 16. Meanwhile, Manchester United let go off a chance to secure their place in the knock-out stages when they were held to a scoreless draw by reigning Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven. At the conclusion of the five rounds of games, Wolfsburg sits atop Group B with their haul of nine points, while the Red Devils are second with eight points, just a point more than PSV Eindhoven. CSKA Moscow sits bottom with four points from five games.

In a Group C clash, reigning Kazakhstan champions FC Astana held Portuguese giants Benfica to a 2-2 draw. The Kazakhstani outfit ran into a 2-0 lead in the first half of the game, but the Portuguese clawed their way back into the game courtesy of a brace from summer signing Raul Jimenez. In the other game of the group, Atletico Madrid were 2-0 winners over Turkish giants Galatasaray. Both the goals for the 2014 Spanish champions were scored by France international Antoine Griezmann. The win means Diego Simeone’s men have a haul of ten points from their five games, same as Benfica, and the two teams are assured of a place in the round of 16. Galatasaray are third with four points while Champions League new boys FC Astana are lying in fourth with three points.

Borussia Monchengladbach were 4-2 winners against Sevilla at Borussia Park and condemned the reigning Europa League winners to an early exit from the Champions League. After their great performances in the Europa League over the last few seasons much was expected from the Spanish outfit, but their Champions League foray has come to a cropper. Juventus were 1-0 winners against Manchester City at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night courtesy of a goal from summer signing Mario Mandzukic. The Old Lady sit atop Group D with a haul of 11 points, while Manchester City are second with nine points. Both sides are assured of their place in the round of 16.

The Catalans were in breathtaking form, and the interplay between their forwards was a delight for the football connoisseurs as they made life difficult for the Serie A outfit on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou. Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi grabbed a brace each while a strike apiece from Gerard Pique and Adriano completed the scoring for the reigning European champions. Edin Dzeko, who missed from the spot, pulled one back for his side late in the stoppage time. In the other game of the group, Bayer Leverkusen played out a 1-1 draw with Belarusian outfit BATE Borisov. The draw has put the Germans in a tough spot as they will need to better Roma’s result from their last group stage fixture against BATE Borisov in order to make their way into the round of 16 stage of the competition. Meanwhile, Barcelona have sealed their passage to the last 16 as group winners.

Arsenal were in a tough spot heading into their game against Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates Stadium as any result other than a win would have severely hampered their chances of progressing to the last 16. However, they kept their hopes of qualification alive with a 3-0 win over the Croatian outfit. Alexis Sanchez scored a brace for the Gunners while Mesut Ozil completed the scoring. Bayern Munich ran away 4-0 winners against Greek champions Olympiakos to book their place in the round of 16 as group winners. The Germans started in splendid fashion and were 3-0 up by the 20th minute of the game courtesy of a goal each from Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller. Juventus loanee Kingsley Coman struck a goal of his own in the second half to complete the thrashing of the Greek giants.

In Group G, Porto were beaten 2-0 at home by Dynamo Kiev. Their defeat has left the group wide open in the race for a spot in the knock-out stage of the Champions League. Barcelona and Chelsea linked Andriy Yarmalenko put the Ukrainians ahead with a spot kick in the 35th minute. Derlis Gonzalez added to the scoreline in the second half. In the other game of the group, Chelsea inflicted a crushing 4-0 defeat on Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv to condemn them to the fourth spot in the group. However, the reigning English champions are still not sure of a place in the round of 16 and will need to secure their qualification on the final group stage match day in December.

In Group H, Zenit Saint Petersburg continued their winning run and registered a 2-0 win over Spanish giants Valencia. The Russians remain the only side to have won all their games in the group stage. Belgian side Gent ran away 2-1 winners against French outfit Lyon to condemn them to the last spot in the group.

#AskJerryJones Turns Out As Expected

Let me preface this with a big ole’ What the hell were y’all expecting?

The “NFL HQ” Show on NFL Network ran a promotion Wednesday where fans could use the hashtag “#AskJerryJones” to ask the Dallas Cowboys owner questions for his upcoming interview. Jerry Jones wasn’t exactly the Prom King before signing and defending Greg Hardy, so giving the people of Twitter a free run at him may not have been the best idea.

I think they learned their lesson:

“Rae Carruth is expected to be released from prision (sic) in 2018. With a need at WR, will you be interested in signing him? #askjerryjones,” tweeted @KingFavre. No, that’s not the real Brett Favre, just for the record.

For those who don’t remember, Carruth was a receiver for the Carolina Panthers who was arrested and found guilty of conspiring to murder the women he impregnated. He’s been incarcerated since 2001, but a comeback at age 44 isn’t out of the question when Jones is concerned.

“Since Joseph Randle assaulted a police officer do you plan on re-signing him and making him the starter? #AskJerryJones,” said @AnthonyBeers.

Jones has to be considering it.

“If OJ Simpson, Greg Hardy, and Pablo Escobar were all in their prime and available which one would you sign? #AskJerryJones,” said @brendanoconnor0.

Gotta think he would go with Simpson, but Escobar has to be one of the best of all-time at moving the rock…get it? Cause he was a drug dealer…Like, crack rocks…Sorry, I’ll stop.

“#AskJerryJones What is the secret to finding future Cowboys players? Looking through police blotters? Scouting prison yard pickup games?” said @LaneFrench.

And then there’s my personal favorite by @calbears96:

‘Captain America Civil War’ Latest Trailer Charges In

Captain America Civil War Latest Trailer Charges 2015 imagesWhile it is still a ways away before Captain America: Civil War is released into theaters, Marvel Studios debuted the first trailer for the movie during the late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!

On Tuesday, both actors Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans appeared on Kimmel to talk about the upcoming superhero movie. On the show, the stars revealed that they had some obstacles when filming, especially during the brutally hot days in Atlanta, Georgia. Robert, who plays Tony Stark (i.e. Iron Man) in the movie, explained that he had it the worst considering he was cooped up in a full fledge mask and costume suit for most of the movie. His co-star Evans joked, “I really just wanted to come to work on my days off and watch [Robert] suffer.” Fortunately as Captain America, Chris only had to wear a partial mask for most of the movie.

The synopsis of the highly anticipated movie explains that it picks up right where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off. Captain America: Civil War follows Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, as he leads the new and improved team of Avengers. Together, the superheroes hope to continue their fight against evil and protect humanity. However, after an international incident involving the crime-fighting team results in notable damage, political pressure leads to the creation of a systematic procedure and governing body that determines when to list the group. Unfortunately, this system of accountability tampers with the group’s ability to protect the world, especially now that there is a new villain in the picture.

As previously mentioned, Chris Evans stars as Captain America. However, he is not the only superhero in the movie, as he is joined by a slew of Marvel characters such as: The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Spider-man (Tom Holland), amongst several others. Unfortunately, some of these characters are pitted up against each other, as Captain America leads a team opposing Iron Man’s. In addition, villain Baron Zemo (played by Daniel Bruhl) is also added to the mix.

The trailer begins with Captain America gathering up his troops. Shortly after, it is clear that Captain America and his team face some conflict with the public and government. They sit in a meeting, as they are told their ungoverned actions, unlimited power and lack of supervision will “no longer be tolerated.” This conflict is heightened, as the team of heroes feel they are being limited in their ability to protect the world.

Later in the trailer, tension arises as Captain America encounters Iron Man once again. The teaser ends with a glimpse into a fight scene between Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan), Captain America and Iron Man.

To up the ante, the studios are putting these heroes not only against a villain but also against each other and the political world.

While the movie still relies on much of the foundation that Avengers: Age of Ultron did, it seems to be much more focused on the development and story surrounding Captain America. However, it also throws in enough glimpses of other fan favorites, like Iron Man, to ensure that everyone will leave the theater happy.

In addition, there are some new names dropped into the mix, such as Ant-Man. It will be interesting to see Paul Rudd’s portrayal of his superhero characters amongst all of the other relatively more established action stars. The movie is also introducing the young Tom Holland as Peter Parker, aka Spider-man. While there have been numerous Spider-man movies in the past, this is Tom’s first portrayal of the character.

Captain America: Civil War brings back brothers and co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Nonetheless, fans will have to wait until May 6, 2016 when the movie is released in North America. However, Warner Brothers did end up moving their superhero movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s release date from May to March. Therefore, there is plenty of action to look forward to in the coming year!

On Sunday, Gigi and Zayn were seen leaving West Hollywood’s The Nice Guy (restaurant), after they both attended an after-party for the American Music Awards. Gigi was photographed hopping into Zayn’s car as he pulled up in front of the venue to pick her up.

Now, witnesses are claiming that Zayn and Gigi were out and about together once again on Tuesday night. According to sources, Zayn and Gigi once again dined at The Nice Guy and were joined by Gigi’s younger sister and fellow model, Bella Hadid.

The source goes on to reveal that the two seemed very affectionate, considering they are still going under the cover of being just friends. The source says, “Gigi and Zayn couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They were holding hands under the table, whispering in each other’s ears, and Zayn [was] holding Gigi’s leg. Gigi was so attached to him that she even followed Zayn outside to the patio during a smoke break.”

Another restaurant goer claims that the two “seemed close and comfortable in each other’s company.”

Since Gigi just recently broke up with her boyfriend Joe Jonas, it is unlikely that she will be putting an official label on this new romance anytime soon.

kylie jenner talks tyga 2015 gossipOn Wednesday, Kylie Jenner made her first ever appearance on Ellen. During her visit, the young reality star opened up about her relationship with rapper Tyga.

It has been about a week since headlines broke out claiming that Kylie had broken up with her boyfriend on his 26th birthday. This rumor spread quickly, as Kylie and her whole family were missing from all of Tyga’s birthday celebrations.

However on Ellen, Kylie laughs off the speculation. She states, “no, honestly people have it all wrong…we’re not broken up.” She goes on to reveal, “we, just honestly, we became best friends before anything happened, so I think that that’s awesome. And we’re just like. I don’t know. Hanging out. Living life.”

Host Ellen DeGeneres went on to joke about Kylie having to stay with him considering the car he bought her for her 18th birthday. Earlier in the year, Tyga gifted Kylie a brand new Ferrari that is reportedly worth over $240,000.

Although Kylie may be playing off the break-up as simply rumors, her actions seem to suggest otherwise. Considering the Kardashian and Jenner clan is known for throwing extravagant birthdays, it is definitely out of character for Kylie to skip out on Tyga’s big day. In addition, Kylie posted a video to her SnapChat showing her and her mother, Kris Jenner, presenting Tyga with a (very small) birthday cake a few days after his actual birthday. It seems like the family was making up for their absence at his party.

So as much as Kylie wants to present herself as a put-together, mature woman in a relationship, she is still 18-years-old and seems to be in the same on-again/off-again situation with Tyga that many find themselves in at such a young age.

For those people, Cyber Monday is the best day. For those in the know, Black Friday’s deals aren’t necessarily the best deals to be had during the holiday season – even though most of us think so.

Electronics, especially, are usually much less expensive after Black Friday. But, you may risk not getting exactly what you want if you wait for a better deal because so many will snap up the most popular electronics either before or on Black Friday.

The weekend after Thanksgiving is touted as the best time to check off toys from your gift list, but Cyber Monday is actually the best time for the cheapest bargains. A couple of the hot toys rumored to be on sale for Cyber Monday are the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Barbie and any toy based on the Disney movie, Frozen.

If you’re looking for clothing, it doesn’t really matter which day you shop on, but beware that a couple of days before Christmas is when the clothing prices dip to their lowest. Again, you run the risk of items or sizes being out of stock.

Keep your eye on the many websites devoted to finding and posting the best deals based on the latest ads. Find one you like and sign up for alerts to the bargains you’re interested in.

BLACK FRIDAY

According to a survey commissioned by NerdWallet and conducted by Harris Poll, this year 3 out of 4 Americans plan to shop Black Friday sales. And they’ll spend more money than they did last year — 20% more, in fact ($529 in 2015 vs. $440 in 2014). So, what’s all the fuss about and are the potential savings really worth facing the crowds?

Pros

There’s nothing quite like the thrill (and novelty) of piling into the car in the wee hours of the morning and waiting for your favorite retailer to open its doors. Adventure awaits: Will you score the ultimate doorbuster deal? Or how about that unannounced surprise sale that could be offered? Both are very real possibilities that you can only experience live and in person.

And sometimes nothing can replace the sensory experience, especially when shopping for clothing or furniture.

You don’t have to worry about shipping costs or canceled orders either, because you’ll be carting your loot home.

Cons

If the turkey dinner tryptophan hits you hard and the last thing you want to do is swing by your neighborhood Best Buy, then Black Friday shopping might not be for you.

The chaotic crowds and potentially aggressive atmosphere aren’t for the faint of heart. Plus, the frenzy makes it easy to get caught up in “deals” and overspend: Sure, you’ve got two flat screen TVs at home, but this one is only $200.

Finally, by shopping in-person on Black Friday, you run the risk of items selling out. Doorbuster deals may have limited quantities. There’s nothing worse than surviving the early hour, the elements and the brutal crowds only to come home empty-handed.

CYBER MONDAY

To some, Cyber Monday offers many of the same benefits of Black Friday without all the hassle. According to the National Retail Federation, Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend) is expected to contribute significantly to overall holiday sales — an anticipated $105 billion in online sales, So, is it worth opting for the couch instead of the mall?

Pros

One of the best aspects of Cyber Monday shopping is the ease of comparing prices. If you’re not sure that you’re getting the absolute best price on the laptop you’ve been coveting, another retailer is only a click away.

Plus, you save so much time. Rather than hopping back in the car or walking across the mall, you can get to the next store on the Internet in mere seconds. Cyber Monday sales also tend to be store-wide rather than product-specific, which can be a good thing if you’re not looking for a particular make or model of a product.

Shopping from the comfort of home or work makes for more rational decisions, and you’re not dealing with the crowds.

Finally, the pleasure of shopping in PJs can’t be discounted. There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with a cup of cocoa and getting your spend on.

Cons

Shopping online isn’t all cozy clothes and relaxed browsing; it does have its downsides.

Cyber Monday lacks many of the doorbuster deals that Black Friday is famous for, and it’s unlikely you’ll receive extra prizes for being first in line. You also miss out on possible in-store-only offers and the excitement and of the day.

Additionally, the delayed gratification is no joke. It can be tough to score the one tech toy you’ve been coveting for months and then have to wait five to seven business days for it to arrive. And don’t forget about the shipping costs.

Plus, you always run the risk of being disappointed when it arrives. Things tend to look different online, and something might be slightly off in color or a different texture than you anticipated. And then you have to deal with an inconvenient return that might involve shipping costs. A serious bummer.

If you’ve decided that Black Friday is not to be missed, we’ve noted some of the more worthwhile doorbuster deals and come up with a short list of stores to hit:

• Target will be offering 25% off all Beats wireless headphones

• At Best Buy, take up to $125 off on the iPad Air 2 and $200 off a 21.5-inch iMac with 8GB of memory

• Walmart is advertising a 40-inch 1080p LED TV for $149, a Fitbit Flex wristband for $59 ($40 off) and a 5-inch Samsung Galaxy 5 phone for $229 (regularly $479)

2015 Cyber Monday Deals

If you’d rather be at home than at the mall, we’ve noted some of the better deals that will crop up on Nov. 30:

• Staples is prolonging the party and offering their Black Friday deals through Cyber Monday. A complete win-win.

• EBay is advertising a Samsung 55″ 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart TV for $1,199.99 (regularly $3,999), the GoPro Hero4 Action Camera for $299 (regularly $399) and the Lenovo ThinkPad 11.6″ Notebook Computer for $209.99 (regularly $499.90).

• J.C. Penney is boasting more than 50,000 Cyber Monday online deals, specifics yet to be announced.

‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’ 212 Finale Recap

love hip hop hollywood 212 finale 2015 imagesIt’s the end of “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood.” This season was short, full of tired controversial plotlines and… boring.

This go round was definitely one of the less exciting and less committed seasons. But I feel like all of the Hollywood franchises are. No one goes as hard as New York, which starts back up in two weeks. But, I know that you are dying to find out what happened to your fav Tinseltown characters so here we go.

Milan finally meets Miles’ family, and the introduction is a lot to handle for him. Before he arrives, Miles finally addresses his mother. They cry it out, and she calls him the king of her castle (so does his sister). When Milan arrives, sparks fly as they drill him about his career, being a “male stripper,” etc. He keeps calm and lets them know what all of this is for him. The outcome? Miles’ sister tells his boyfriend that she is down for him because he’s down with her brother and he’s welcomed into the family. Awwww.

Ray J buys a house… for Princess Love. Yes, this man is going all out. He is determined to get her back and show the love of his life that there is no life without her. He surprises Princess, and although she says that she is not looking to move fast with him, she accepts it. Later on, during a candlelight evening, he pops the question. Talk about NOT moving fast.

Teairra Mari, who only has to say that it has been a long year for her little storyline, poses with her new body and some models during, I don’t know, a photo shoot for something.

Omarion and Apryl are still on tour, and he is selling out everywhere. After one of his shows, as they are on the tour bus, Apryl brings up the whole “I want to work” conversation again, and as before, her baby daddy tells her to chill and just wait. While she expresses how she feels, he gets up in the middle of their conversation and tells the driver to stop. And what do they stop in front of in the middle of his tour? A studio, so that Apryl can… lay some vocals? I was a little confused. But that sums up their storyline.

Amber continues on with her music and is not letting her heartbreak get to her because she’s a “bad bitch.” Max and Brandy are good as she is filming her music video with her partner and Hazel is on to bigger and better things. Don’t know about Nia Riley and Soulja Boi or Willie and Shanda because… they didn’t show them

Now on to the real climax of the show. Nikki’s messy ass, remember I said she’s the Karlie Redd of the Hollywood franchise, runs into Rich at a club and you can bet your bottom dollar that the bitch tells him about Moniece telling Fizz she still loves him. Rich is taken aback and heartbroken and of course, Nikki tries to play it off like, “I thought you should know, I’m not trying to cause no mess.”

Scene switch…

Moniece is in the studio recording her song and Rich shows up. He waits for her to finish and they sit on the couch. She is in a super good mood and showers compliments upon herself, but Rich is not laughing; homie doesn’t crack a smile. He goes right into it. He tells her, pretty much, that he came to Cali, endured all this shit with her mom and her, left his home in New York because he wanted to be with her and thought she wanted it too. He then reveals that he , finally, bought her the engagement ring she’s been begging him for, but all of that doesn’t mean anything because she’s still in love with her baby father.

Moniece looks dumbfounded and tries to deny what Rich says Nikki told him. He doesn’t believe it and with a lot of anger and force, gets up, tells her “F you” and throws the ring at her (it hit the couch, though). All she can mumble to herself is, “Nikki must have a death wish.”

In the end, she goes to Fizz’s video screening and things get heated very quickly. Shanda and Brandi are both there and you know they have Nikki’s back so when Moniece comes for her, as she should have, they jump in too. Max holds back his wife, Fizz drags Moniece away, security hold Shanda and Nikki? Well, that bitch just stands there talking shit. She tells Moniece she was not trying to break up her relationship, blah, blah, blah. All Moniece wants to do is get to her so she can beat her ass and Nikki even stands there saying, “I’m right here.” But that’s real easy to say when you’re not the one being held back.

Nikki is messy and fake and needs not be on TV. She has no talent and is just a bad example for women.

All this drama concludes this season of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, but don’t worry; there are a couple of reunion shows to look forward to within the next two weeks.

‘Scream Queens’ 109 Thanksgiving Recap

Chanel tells Chad that he doesn’t have to worry about Hester anymore because she, along with gravity, have taken care of her. This means she can go with him for Thanksgiving to the Hamptons to meet his parents. Chad thinks it so hot that she killed for him and wants to see the body. But not only does he want to see the body, but he also wants to have a three-way with the body. Gross. They go to the icebox where they put her body but surprise, she’s not there. He asks Chanel if she checked Hester’s pulse but hey, Chanel is not a nurse so of course she didn’t.

Gigi spends Thanksgiving with the other Red Devil, and it is pretty pitiful. She tells whoever it is that Boone, their brother, was not worthy to work with them, and it’s a good thing that he‘s dead. Um okay, Gigi. She gives the Red Devil an electric knife to carve their little fowl, but we don’t see what happens there.

Chanel #3’s Thanksgiving is depressing as she eats a Swanson dinner at her parents house and has to sit in the back with the help because she was late. She can’t take it anymore; she hates defrosted food and the fact that her family doesn’t care about what’s going on at the Kappa house. She plans to never return as the Kappa house is her home.

When she gets there, she hears a knife clinking and goes into the kitchen to find it’s Munsch slaughtering a turkey. She is cooking dinner and everyone is invited.

Grace avoids her father deciding to stay at the Kappa house. He calls her to see if she’s coming home. She asks about Gigi, and he tells her she didn’t show up, so Grace invites her dad to the house to have dinner with them.

At the Radwell’s Thanksgiving, Chad’s mom introduces Chanel and is less than excited about her being there. Everyone stands and introduce themselves. His brother Brad, played by the awesome Chad Michael Murray, introduces himself and is extremely self-centered; I love it…well, really I love seeing him back on TV. Chad’s mom stands up and says that she’s thankful for her son being alive despite the killings on campus and that he will have a long life and meet a lot of women. Chanel can’t take it any longer and screams at her about wanting to reach across the table and slap her. Then, HESTER SHOWS UP asking, “What did I miss?”

Chad introduces her as his sober coach. Hester stands up and announces that she is pregnant with Chad’s baby, but his mother is not having it. She shuts it down, and Hester sits in embarrassment and disappointment.

After dinner, Chad’s dad offers Chanel money to “leave now and never come back.” She is appalled and walks out on him. She storms to tell Chad, and he says that maybe she should take it because “it is kind of awkward” and with their traditional game of Pictionary, it’s going to be painful.

Back at the Kappa house, they have a conversation, which includes playing a game where they guess who the Red Devils are. Munsch accuses Chanel #3 and goes over all the reasons why it’s her. Number 3 then turns it around and says that it’s Dean Munsch, and so on.

Chanel #5 comes in, with her eight-meat stuffing, right in the middle of Chanel #3 making her case for Dean Munsch and Grace points out that she has a point; it could all be apart of her plan of revenge. They lay out an elaborate mountain of evidence against her, including the fact that Munsch saying she is allergic to Bologna is what got her off for killing her husband, but #3 saw her eating a bologna sandwich a few days before while out and about. Plus the stuffing #5 made has spam, which is full of sulfates just like bologna. In the midst of all this, Wes stand up and says that his daughter is the killer. They debunk it, and Pete comes in with what he believes os evidence that places Wes as the killer.

With all the drama at the Kappa house, there is even more drama at Chad’s family house. They play their game with Hester and Chanel the butt of the jokes. They are  horribly embarrassed as pitted against each other. All of the Radwell’s guesses are insulting and mean and funny as hell. Chanel cannot take it any longer. She stands up, apologizes to Hester and tells Chad’s family all the way off, addressing and perfectly insulting each member. She is done with Chad, lets him know in front of his entire family and storms out. Hester follows right behind her.

At the Kappa house, we find out that Wes was a man whore back in the 90’s thanks to Pete’s research, and he drops the bomb that he is Boone and (thus obviously) the other Red Devil’s father.

He retreats to a room in the house, and Grace finds him. “I didn’t know, and I swear if I had I would have taken responsibility.” She believes him, and he asks her if she can really send one of her siblings “to the chair” and she says yes. She will do anything for the people she loves, even the Chanels who are all a part of her “highly dysfunctional family.” She assures her dad that no one is going to the police and everything is going to be okay.

They join the rest of the crazies, including Chanel Prime, downstairs as she tells everyone what happened at the Radwell’s.  But at the last minute, Chad shows up the house, so that he can “get his turkey on” her. #5 brings out the turkey but hold up wait a minute, it’s Gigi’s head!

I didn’t see that coming.
