New Orleans Saints 2015 NFL Draft & Offseason Recap

drew brees new orleans saints off season reviews 2015 imagesThe New Orleans Saints, along with the rest of the NFC South, were very disappointing in 2014. It seems like just a few seasons ago this was the top division in football; and now they’re coming off a season where not a single team managed a winning record, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the worst record in football.

The Saints offseason started out just as bad as their season did. For a while there, head coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis were having a team garage sale, everyone needed to go and went to the highest bidder.

When March started with the Saints releasing Pierre Thomas and Curtis Lofton, fans were right to be nervous. But, when the team traded Pro Bowl tight end and fan-favorite Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks, fans started to call for Loomis’s head. At the time it was a reasonable reaction—after all, the team just traded Graham for a center (Max Unger) and the 31st overall selection in the draft…

The team proceeded to trade away Ben Grubbs and Kenny Stills for a fifth-round pick and a third-round pick, respectively. Not the best value, especially for Grubbs; but the Saints were stocking up on draft picks they can easily use later.

Fortunately, before the riots started, the Saints began to make some good moves to fill up the holes they created during the fire sale. C.J. Spiller was a great replacement for Thomas, and he balances out the backfield that consists almost solely of Mark Ingram.

The Saints also managed to add former Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner. Browner alone would be an immediate asset to a bad secondary unit; so with Browner alongside a healthy Jarius Byrd combined with another solid season from the pass-rushing duo of Cameron Jordan and Junior Galette, this defense has a legitimate chance of jumping into the top 10.

Heading into the 2015 NFL Draft, the Saints biggest concern was to fill up the offensive holes created acquiring all of their draft picks. The team used its offensive surplus up, and now needed to find a replacement tight end, a couple of receivers, and maybe a guard.

At 13th overall the Saints called Stanford tackle Andrus Peat, who honestly looked surprised to hear his name called. It may have been a little early, but Peat was a good choice by the Saints. At 36 years old, protecting Drew Brees is crucial; and with Spiller and Ingram in the backfield having a good offensive line could mean a good run game—something New Orleans hasn’t seen since the duo of Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister back in 2006.

With their 31st overall selection from the Seahawks, the Saints selected Clemson linebacker Stephone Anthony. After a horrible season by Curtis Lofton in 2014, Anthony will be an immediate improvement at a position that has given the Saints trouble since Jonathan Vilma retired.

The real head-scratcher from the Saints draft was the second round pick of Washington d-lineman Hau’oli Kikaha. With his history of knee injuries, most teams didn’t even have this guy as an option. Even if Sean Payton and staff were committed to this guy, they could have waited until the later rounds or traded down. Hopefully everything works out, but given his past that’s a long shot.

Garrett Grayson, P.J. Williams, Davis Tull, Tyeler Davison, and Damian Swann round out the Saints pre-seventh round selections. Williams and Swann were fantastic picks for a shallow secondary. Williams should have no problem starting come September, and even Swann will be able to rotate in on this team.

Overall, it was an interesting offseason. After a horrible start, things started to come together in New Orleans; and the defense should be significantly better in 2015. The only growing concern for fans should be the offense: Drew Brees is fantastic, but only time will tell if the Saints gave up too much of their offensive weapons in exchange for defensive help.

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS’ Profound Effect Review

pursuit of happyness profound images 2015When questioned what is the movie that has had the most profound effect on me, I right away thought of the 2006 film “The Pursuit of Happyness,” starring Will and Jaden Smith.

The film is based on the memoir of Christopher Gardner. Christopher was living in San Francisco in the 80s when he decided to invest his entire life savings into portable bone-density scanners. Unfortunately, after a while he began having difficulty selling these machines to Doctors, which lead to a very difficult financial struggle for himself, his wife Linda and 5-year-old son, Christopher Jr.

However, Christopher is a very determined and smart individual. While downtown trying to sell his scanner, he meets Jay Twistle who is a manager for a financial firm. He eventually impresses Jay and winds up earning himself an internship at his firm amongst 20 others, in hopes of landing the one paid position as a broker.

Unfortunately, an internship doesn’t pay money and this enrages his wife Linda who is worried for their family’s well being. She winds up moving to New York, leaving her son and Christopher to fend for themselves.

Christopher, now a single dad, sadly ends up becoming homeless with his son, as he is left with $22.

Throughout this tough time, he continues to try and sell the last of his scanners and works hard at his internship, despite his lack of knowledge, experience and time relative to the fellow interns. He decides he will begin making calls to the potentially highest value customers, instead of starting from the bottom of the list like the other job candidates.

With barely anything, but his drive, perseverance and love for his son, Chris is able to win the job position and it is later revealed that he ended up opening his own multi-million dollar brokerage firm.

While this film may seem like your typical rag-to-riches story, what stood out to me about it was its ability to tell the story so honestly. Rather than the typical series of downfalls followed by the one big win at the end, The Pursuit of Happyness shows how Gardner’s life was nothing close to a smooth path. The movie shows moments of hope followed by moments of despair, and vice versa, which allows the movie to seem much more realistic.

In addition, in times where you would think that just about anyone would just give up, Chris Gardner showed an inspiring determination. With his wife leaving him, his last bone density scanner broken, living in a shelter, amongst plenty of other issues, Chris never let that impact his confidence in his own ability. He believed he could succeed in his internship and that is all he needed to get out of the hole he found himself in.

A particular scene that stuck out to me not only because it was emotional but also because it was very telling of Chris’ selflessness, was when Chris and his son end up spending the night in a public restroom.  Undoubtedly, this would be a distressing situation for any single father, having to stay with their son in a possibly unsafe setting overnight. However, Chris ensured to make light of the situation, playing games with his son and making sure he felt comfortable and safe, even if he himself didn’t. Throughout the movie, Chris put his son first and never lets him see the true struggles that he was facing on a day-to-day basis.

One of the best lines that embodies Chris Gardner’s strength is when he tells his son, “You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you that you can’t do it. You want something? Go get it. Period.” This quote is so relevant, especially in this time of Social Media, where people are able to be anonymous when trying to tear others down. It is so easy for people to tear down others simply because they are envious of their success, or even their potential for success. And unfortunately this can impact someone to stray away from this potential. However, being aware of this and staying focused on what you know you can achieve, will detract from the influence that others can have on your own success.

All in all, while the plot line tells a story that is similar to one that has been told many times before, the way the movie portrays it was very unique and captivating to me. It was intriguing to watch someone with so much faith in themselves and their capabilities, get torn down and “dragged through the mud,” but at the same time remain resilient and hopeful that they will make it through to the other side. And of course, in typical Hollywood fashion, the movie satisfies with a happy ending that shows that continuing the pursuit when everything is seemingly telling you to give up eventually does pay off.

On Thursday, Donald Trump joined 9 of the other top Republican presidential candidates for the debate, as numerous mediators asked some hard-hitting questions, including Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Megyn questioned his view and acceptance of women after bringing up a quote from his past where he called a Rosie O’Donnell a “fat pig, slob and disgusting animal.” She also brought up a quote from his TV show The Celebrity Apprentice where he claimed that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville would look better “on her knees.”

While most of the public viewed Megyn’s questions as fair and important, Trump didn’t view it this way and explained during the debate that he thought she was bringing particularly tough on him.

Following the debate, Trump further spoke out about his frustrations with Megyn’s interviewing during the event, saying:

“There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her whatever.”

This quote right away sparked backlash, including from RedState Gathering organizer Erick Erickson. Erick, who has great influence in the Republican Party, has disinvited Trump to the gathering. Erick explained, “I just don’t want someone on stage who gets hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal.”

The Trump party has since responded, saying:

“This is just another example of weakness through being politically correct. For all of the people who were looking forward to Mr. Trump coming, we will miss you. Blame Erick Erickson, your weak and pathetic leader.”

There is no stopping the Donald.

The split was reportedly completely unexpected and Perrie was in shock and has been upset since it happened, especially since the couple had been engaged for almost 2 years. In addition, to make the situation worse of Perrie, sources have revealed that Zayn split with the singer over the phone.

Perrie has since confirmed reports that she is upset over the whole ordeal, as she has now unfollowed Zayn on all her social media accounts, as well as deleted all of her pictures with him on her Instagram.

This is following Zayn favoriting a picture on Kylie Jenner’s Twitter just days prior to the news of their split came public. The picture shows Kylie dolled up in a mini-dress with mesh details and posing. Zayn also began following Kylie’s older sister Khloe Kardashian, which undoubtedly added to Perrie’s feelings of betrayal.

The Frenchman has put pen to paper and extended his contract with Atletico till 2019. The 24-year-old has been in exceptional form in Diego Simeone’s side and he might even get better this season and help the Vicente Calderon based side to win silverwares.

Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko is reportedly on his way out of England. The striker will move to AS Roma as according to ESPN, he has already completed his medical at the Serie A side. West Brom are set to pay a club-record £15 million for Zenit St. Petersburg striker Salomon Rondon after he arrived for a medical with the Baggies. Rondon might prove to be a great addition for Tony Pulis, who brought in Liverpool misfit Rickie Lambert last week. Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry will also join the Hawthorns on loan.

“We’re delighted to add Serge to our options,” said West Brom boss Tony Pulis.

“He is a top player and he will bring us quality in certain areas of the pitch.”

West Brom have been wise to strengthen themselves and who knows they might even jump from the 13th place finish last season to the top half of the table.

Liverpool have brought in Danny Ings and Christian Benteke in this summer transfer window and are also keen to keep Origi. Mario Balotelli was a panic buy for Brendan Rodgers last summer and that bargain didn’t pay off. The Merseyside giants are looking to offload the Italian striker before the window ends on August 31. The Dubai based club Al Ahli allegedly approached the Reds for the signature of Balotelli but he turned the opportunity to play in the Middle East.

Juventus are interested to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan. The midfielder wants to move away from the Signal Iduna Park and the Italian champions might be on his preferred destination. He could join the Turin based before the Serie A kicks off.

Kevin Mirallas, 27, has extended his contract with Everton until June 2018. The Belgian joined the Merseyside based club from Olympiakos in 2012 and since he has scored 29 goals for Toffees in 110 appearances.

“We all know the goalscoring threat and talent that Kevin brings and it was very important to end the uncertainty regarding the next step in his career,” said manager Roberto Martinez.

Mohammed Salah has joined the Italian club AS Roma from Chelsea. The winger spent most of last season on loan at Fiorentina. On completing the move, the 23-year-old said:

“I think Roma are one of the biggest clubs in the world and I’m happy to be in this team,” he told the Giallorossi’s in-house TV channel.

“I think everybody here has ambition and everybody wants to win the title. Everybody will give their best to make the fans happy.”

After bursting onto the scene for his ‘crazy’ lifestyle at Texas A&M and partying with Drake, Johnny Manziel claims that his life is now “about 95 percent football.”

Not sure where he’s getting those numbers, but I guess when half the nation thinks your last name is actually Football no one will really question you.

Since his release from rehab, Manziel has been very under the radar, something he hasn’t enjoyed since he led the miraculous victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide en route to winning the Heisman Trophy. As the stories of his drinking and going out with friends piled up, so did the attention. Everyone either loved Johnny Football or they thought he was the biggest disgrace to sports since the Black Sox Scandal of 1919. There was next to no one that didn’t have an opinion on the kid.

Personally, I loved him. He was fantastic on the field with the Aggies, and he couldn’t care less about what you thought about his lifestyle. He was basically a big middle finger to the media and everyone else who said he needed to calm down (and literally to the Washington Redskins bench). He was one of the most famous people in America, but he was still a college kid, and old people just hated it.

That aside, I’m glad he has started to shape up in the pros. It’s one thing to go to a strip club with Drake when you’re averaging four touchdowns a game, but when you quarterback one of the worst single games in NFL history, it’s time to get back to football.

Well, Manziel is lucky enough and cursed to play with the Cleveland Browns for that very reason. On the one hand, the Browns suck and good luck turning that team into something. After a fantastic start, the coaching staff allowed the team and quarterbacks to regress to Jr. Varsity levels.

On the other hand, this gives Manziel the opportunity to go incognito and get back to his football roots during the season.

“The hype is a little bit tempered and a little bit down, and that for me is a good thing,” said Manziel. “Now I can just come out and play and do my game and really get to learn, because that’s what I really needed to do is to learn.”

That’s right, even Manziel couldn’t make people outside of Cleveland care about Browns football for more than one season.

“Off the field for me right now is just really simple. It’s football right now, and it’ll be that way throughout the rest of the season.”

As the story goes, the next day, they got into it again, splashing water back and forth at each other which lead to Busta throwing a dairy protein drink at the employee. The police was called and Busta was charged with second-degree assault.

It’s funny too because according to the rapper’s lawyer, “This is all ridiculous; it was literally a bottle of Muscle Milk.” Um yea Scott Leemon but it was still an object thrown by your client at someone’s head.

Famous people are always trying to spin their bad behavior into someone else’s fault.

As for Busta, he posted to Instagram thanking fans for their support and told them,

“Heading 2 the studio 2 turn the bullshit into GREATNESS. I’m super good. #THECONGLOMERATE.”

I guess Drake mentioning Ab on his second diss track “Back to Back” is the thing that made Meek feel a certain way about him. While performing in Camden, New Jersey, one of the stops on the Pinkprint Tour, Meek said,

Meek Milly is probably upset with Ab because of he said during an interview that it is too late for him to do a second diss track (which he really, really needed to do). I mean, I don’t get what’s up with Meek if he is tripping over this. Ab didn’t say anything bad about him and he even said during the same interview that they have a respectful relationship.

I think that everything is getting to Meek Mill and right now, any mention of anything related to his beef with Drake sends him over the edge.

Austin said he had done everything he could to help Shelli and Clay this week and he didn’t appreciate them turning on him. He said he wanted to protect Vanessa and that they had to stick together in the game. Vanessa was upset Shelli and Clay sold their alliance to James. Vanessa told Shelli she was looking out for her. Shelli said she had to clear the air with her alliance because she wanted to move forward in the game with them.

He said he felt like if Shelli won he would have won too.

This week’s head of household competition was called Midway Mayhem. They had to fill funnels with gas and then ice skate across the yard to a tank. They must then reach their ball and claim a prize and stay in the competition or take the head of household position.

Becky won the HOH competion after nearly 90 minutes, but she also added another $5K to her recently won $5K. To top it off, she completed her hat trick by winning the never be a Have-Not again this season. She’s a confusing one as she has loyalties all over the house  so it could be either Vanessa, Steve, Austin for those bitchy twins going up for nomination this week.

Chris Brown Slams Nia & Miles Teller FANTASTIC FOUR Drama

Chris Brown took to Twitter to rant about his baby momma, Nia Guzman, who shares daughter Royalty with Chris. While Chris has been spending lots of time with his daughter, he doesn’t seem to want to spend the same amount of time with Nia, who has been fighting with him about custody and child support.

Chris went on Twitter early Friday morning to slam Nia’s manipulative ways. Brown tweeted:

“Some men my age run from their responsibility as fathers. I embrace mine. Just sucks that some females use children as meal tickets.”

And

“Using a child as leverage is never ok. The highest praise to the men who actually want their kids.”

A few days ago E! News reported that Nia has formally requested that Brown only be allow supervised visits Royalty. She reportedly fears Brown’s lifestyle and friends being around her daughter, especially in light of the recent break-in at his house where his aunt was held at gunpoint. However, Brown insists this is just a ploy to make him out as a bad father and is insisting he gets joint custody.

Sources revealed to TMZ a few weeks ago that Nia had been requesting $15,000 a month in child support, but at this point there has been no formal court ruling.

Things are not going so well for the cast of the new Fantastic Four installment.

The drama began when cast-member Miles Teller called out Esquire magazine for misrepresenting him in his recent interview. Esquire published their September issue with Miles’ interview, and marketed it saying, “Miles Teller is on a quest for greatness (with a bit of dickishness too).”

Throughout the interview, the magazine shares excerpts from Miles that are relatively blunt and therefore play up their claim (of him being “a dick”). Such quotes as “..I probably think I’m better-looking than the public thinks I am” and “I always did well for myself” and “I did zero extracurricular activities so I could get high” fill the article, which undoubtedly don’t paint Miles in the most favorable light.

However, since the interview came out Miles and his cast-mates have been publicly defending his “true character” and claim that Esquire was completely wrong with how they presented him.

Unfortunately, more drama for the movie has come forward after the critics’ reviews came out. The new Fantastic Four installment has earned a very low score on Rotten Tomatoes of 9%.

The shameful reviews of the film triggered director, Josh Trank, to take to his Twitter to defend himself. The since-been-deleted tweet, read:

“A year ago I had a fantastic version of this. And it would’ve received great reviews. You’ll probably never see it. That’s reality though.”

Here, the director attributes the films failure to the studios supposed interference. Of course, Josh deleted the tweet moments after posting it as he is basically admitting that the film deserved the unfavorable reviews (which undoubtedly got him into hot water with the studio and production company).

Josh Trank has already had some trouble in his directing career, as earlier he was kicked off directing a Star Wars spinoff movie due to “bad behavior”.

the guest dan stevens movie image reviews 2015Indie Thriller/action/sci-fi film The Guest is easily one of my favorite films of the year, and I don’t hand out this honor lightly. The thing that drew me to this film was the fact that it was by the same director of one of my favorite 2011 films, You’re Next. When You’re Next came out it was an indie film I couldn’t stop talking about. Well, director Adam Wingard did it again! The Guest is a very original story about a house guest that’s not only extremely charismatic, but extremely dangerous.

At first the stories plot line is a bit hard to swallow. A man shows up at a family’s home and claims that he is a friend of their son who died in war. Surprisingly, they just let this man in their home and invite him to be an overnight guest. After a few beers, the father in the home invites the man to stay for a few days, until he has a place of his own. Are these people so desperate to have a piece of their son back that they’re willing to let a complete stranger stay in their home? He’s a rather attractive stranger too that they have around their 20 year-old daughter and troubled teenage son. Apparently, the answer is yes. The children think the entire thing is strange, but somehow the parents are fine with it. It doesn’t take long before people are injured or dead in what seems to be some really, really, strange accidents and turn of events.

Dan Stevens as the mysterious “David” really gives life to this film! From the moment you see him on the screen he is charismatic, attractive and soft spoken. Although you still feel that the family are complete idiots for letting this complete stranger into their home, suddenly you have a little more sympathy for them because the guy feels just so down to earth.

Don’t get me wrong, this family is still extremely stupid though. One of the most memorable scenes of the film is seeing Dave Stevens step out of the shower. Maika Monroe who plays the family’s daughter has to close the door and take a deep breath after seeing him. It’s hard to be suspicious of a guy that looks that damn good.

However, what I love about Monroe’s character, Anna, is that she is the only one really suspicious about where this guy came from. Even when she lets him in a little bit, it doesn’t take long for her to snap out of it and get back to digging deeper into the mystery. What made You’re Next such a kick ass film was the fact that it featured a kick-ass female character that truly never gave up. The Guest has another very different female lead who is equally strong; this is always refreshing to see.

The action scenes are brutal and edge of your seat exciting! There is bones cracking and blood flying everywhere. If you were overcome by the brutality in You’re Next, then this film isn’t for you because it’s just as rough. The dialogue is smart and at times very humorous. You could easily call this a black comedy/ drama. There was one scene that was particularly disturbing to me that takes place in a diner. Without giving away too much, considering the rise of mass shootings lately this scene cut very close to home. It felt a bit salacious at first because it was so shocking, but after it took several minutes for my mouth to close I realized its purpose. Often times, there’s so much crazy shit going on around you and you’re completely powerless to stop it. While the bulk of the film had a foreboding feeling to it that was overshadowed by the action, the scene at the diner takes the feeling of terror to an entirely new level. The plot twists are also very cleverly planned out. Each “accidental death”, even if you know who was doing it, came as a complete surprise. Most of them were never even shown, which makes it more striking to hear the characters describe the surprising deaths and how it affected them. There’s a bullying story line that would give anyone who’s been bullied in the past a lot of joy. It’s the one (or maybe third time) in the film that you feel “David’s” violence is OK. In the beginning, David is someone who stands up for the little guy who is being abused. As the film goes on, it becomes clear he is no one for you to mess with or become too comfortable around.

The final scenes are a lot of crazy/action fun; however, I could take or leave the end. It wasn’t horrible and it wasn’t great.It was satisfying enough to not completely ruin the wild roller coaster ride this film is. If you liked You’re Next, you’ll love this movie without a doubt. If you didn’t love You’re Next, no worries, this is a very different type of film so still give it a try. The Guest is definitely one of the best thrillers you’ll see this year. BRING IT! 216 Whole New Doll Game Brings Neva Back

dianna with neva on bring it whole new doll game 2015“Bring It!” is back with their summer season and they are definitely bringing the funk and the drama Miss D style. Last we saw them, they did not win the Battle Royale for the second year in a row. But that does not mean that they don’t have what it takes to be number one. They are back to be the best in the Summer Slam, which is just as big as the Battle Royale.

They have to find a new captain with Kayla graduating and going to college and you best believe that nothing has changed with Miss D relationship with the moms. Sunja is also gone which causes Selena to put all her focus in Star and Sky and “Diana better not get in my way.”

The first little bit of drama comes with Selena being loud and trying to get her girls’ attention causing Miss D to come out and tell them to follow her. She surprises them with a lounge for the mothers to hang out in as she converted her storage room into their own little viewing space. The mom’s love it as they no longer have to hang on the side wall.  But of course they have something to say about not being able to really seem them on the little TV she provided for them.

She makes Kayla the assistant director for the Dancing Dolls working hand in hand with Diana to get the girls in order. There is definitely a twist for the summer season as each week there will be a different captain with the new captain being crowned at the Summer Slam. Now this doesn’t sit well with the mom’s as they feel that it is a little much and kind of unfair. Mimi especially feels a certain way about it as Camryn as she was sure it would Camyrn.

This week, the girl’s dance is what Diana calls Dollywood, a mixture of Bollywood and the Dancing Dolls signature dance steps. The very first captain battle is Camryn and Crystianna, which the parents feel a certain way about because, “they have been best friends.”

Crystianna wins the challenge and Mimi is beside herself. On the way home, Mimi talks to her daughter trying to figure out what the issue is, which of course only makes Camryn cry. This pisses Mimi off more and causes her to pay a trip to Diana to talk to her about why she seems to be giving Camryn a hard time by not just giving her the captainship. Diana makes it clear that the captainship will not be handed to her because she has to fight and work for it.

On the day of competition, it is clear that Crystianna is nervous. Kayla gives her a pep talk, which seems to really help her calm down and focus. Then there is Selena and while she is definitely the “hottest” of the parents, she is a little over the top. She comes to the auditorium in a Bollywood, gypsy outfit. All the other parents can do is laugh and give her high fives.

Then Diana runs into Neva and is all kinds of shady. Neva says let’s put things aside since it is a new season and Diana is like “hells no.” There is clearly no way Neva is going to get on Miss D’s good side and it is all kinds of funny. She asks for a hug and Diana says, “I don’t do hugs.” Classic.

It comes time for the creative dance competition and the heat is on. First up is the Divas of Olive Branch and they do a pretty good job and Neva smiles the entire time. Then there is the newest rival added to the mix, the Explosives Dance Company (EDC) of Dallas and even Diana has to admit that they did a good job. DD have to really bring it.

Afterward, the coach for the EDC meets Diana in the hall and tells her that the Dancing Dolls did a good job but they need more energy and Miss D bout fell out. They went back and forth jab for jab and walks away from each other still throwing all kinds of shade. They are so messy.

bring it whole new doll game xplosive dance vs dancing dolls 2015 imagesDD goes up against the Explosive Dance Company to see who goes on to the stand battle competition to compete against the Divas of Olive Branch (which burns Diana up) and there is so much drama just in the stares. Crystianna does very well as the captain and brings a lot of energy but EDC gives them a run for their money. But it wasn’t enough as DD advances to the final stage going up against one of their biggest rivals.

Both teams bring their very best but the Dancing Dolls win first place, which is a major boost to their ego. Neva and the girls have a tall glass of “sit your ass down somewhere” as they head back to their bus.

This was a good experience for DD and they are sure to keep building on this momentum for the rest of the summer.

It really does take you back to those summer days past with friends, hopefully without the whole dead body thing though.

500 days of summer best movies 2015(500) Days of Summer: It’s a sweet and funny romance film that makes us all think of those complicated summer loves we’ve all had at least once in our lives. A young man falls for a woman who doesn’t believe in true love. Sure, it sucks at first, but maybe he can convince her otherwise? It’s a pretty meaningless movie, but it does give you a little sense of nostalgia about that one summer your stomach was filled with butterflies.

Not the prettiest portrait, but at least it’s honest.

There’s no real plot line to it except a family’s trip out to a theme park, which proves much more difficult than expected. The film is a bit dated and even tame by today’s standard, but it’s still full of plenty of laughs. I don’t know about you, but it always puts me in mind of those uncomfortable and long road trips to the theme park with the family! This is the original one, not that sad remake that just came out this summer. Rent this instead of wasting your money in a theater.
