Roger Federer Beats Kevin Anderson On To Berdych: 2015 Rome Masters

Roger Federer is moving much further along in the 2015 Rome Masters Open than he did in the Madrid Open, and it looks like he may be on a course to hit the courts with Rafael Nadal if he beats Tomas Berdych, who he’s set to play now on Thursday.

Second seed Roger Federer stayed on course in his bid to lift the Internazionali BNL d’Italia trophy for the first time, defeating Kevin Anderson 6-3, 7-5 on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals in Rome.

Federer stumbled towards the finish line, but recovered his poise in time to close out victory in 76 minutes. The Swiss squandered a 5-2 double-break lead in the second set as Anderson staged a fightback, but Federer broke again in the 12th game before serving out at the third time of asking.

“I had to adjust and react differently in today’s match than yesterday’s match,” said Federer. “It was so different, because it’s Kevin and his amazing serve. There’s only so much you can do on the return games. The first thing was not to get frustrated, because I was not seeing where he was serving.

“But thankfully, I got off to a really good start in both sets. From then on, I could relax almost. I was able to break him four times, which was a really good effort in the quick conditions here in Rome.”

The Swiss is making his 15th appearance at the Foro Italico and has reached the final three times, finishing runner-up in 2003 (l. to Mantilla), 2006 (l. to Nadal) and 2013 (l. to Nadal).

For a place in the semi-finals, Federer will face Tomas Berdych, who defied a raucous atmosphere on Pietrangeli to edge home hope Fabio Fognini 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2) in two hours and 35 minutes.

The sixth seed saved eight of the 10 break points he faced to claim his 32nd win of the season, highlighted by runner-up showings in Monte-Carlo (l. to Djokovic), Rotterdam (l. to Wawrinka) and Doha (l. to Ferrer).

Federer takes a 13-6 FedEx ATP Head2Head advantage over Berdych into the pair’s 20th meeting, but they have split their past four contests, all on hard court. The 29-year-old Berdych will contest his ninth straight quarter-final in nine events in 2015 and is looking to reach the semi-finals in Rome for the second time (l. to Nadal 2013).

Tomas Berdych defeated Fabio Fognini to move into the quarter-finals of the 2015 Rome Masters Open and now will face the Swiss maestro Roger Federer. Berdych worked hard for his win and the match took two and a half hours resulting in his victory 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2).

Interestingly enough, even though Rafael Nadal beat Berdych in the 2015 Madrid Open semi-finals, if he manages to beat Federer, Nadal will no longer be in the top four seeds at Roland Garros aka 2015 French Open.
[pdf-embedder url=”http://movietvtechgeeks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/2015-rome-masters-open-quarter-finals-draw-schedule.pdf”]

Berdych has been called the underachieving tennis player with plenty of promise by our own Shane Lambert with good reason. He’s moved up to the number five position in the tennis rankings, but part of this was also due to Rafael Nadal stumble this season. Here’s the overview Lambert gave on the Czech player.

With that in mind, when looking ahead it is hard to picture the Czech No. 1 picking up any elusive titles of significant prestige. To date, Berdych has only claimed one Masters Series title, that coming from Paris in 2005. Furthermore, The Birdman has a weak record against the top players on tour – players that he would likely need to beat to claim any prestigious titles in the months ahead.

Let’s take a look at how Berdych has done against some of those rivals.

For starters, he is just 4-18 overall against Rafael Nadal, one of the Czech’s major nemeses. The Spaniard has blocked Berdych in numerous important events, including in the final of Wimbledon
2010.

Conversely, Berdych has enjoyed some success against Andy Murray, however none of the Czech’s six wins over the Scot have come in a semifinal or later. That means that, even when Berdych has defeated Murray, the current World No. 7 has still had to deal with other late round obstacles.

Berdych has also enjoyed a little bit of success against Roger Federer. The Czech star is 6-13 against the Swiss Maestro, not a bad tally against the player considered to be the best ever. However in championship finals, it has always been Federer who has owned the podium. He defeated Berdych, most noteably, in the championship match of the blue clay fiasco, otherwise known as the 2012 Madrid Masters.

But even if Berdych were to solve Murray consistently in the year ahead and even if Federer were to just flat out retire then Berdych’s major nemesis would still remain: Novak Djokovic.

Berdych has only found a way to solve the Serb in two of their twenty matches to date, sad commentary for those hoping to see the Czech claim major titles in the year ahead. It is worth noting that one of Berdych’s victories over Djokovic was in the biggest match the two players contested against one another, the 2010 Wimbledon semifinals. However it is worth counter-noting that Djokovic had not yet ascended to his very-very best tennis when he and Berdych met at the All England Club.

Another major obstacle, besides Nadal, Murray, Federer, and Djokovic, that the Czech star will have to deal with as his playing years dwindle is the remaining field of players. Younger stars like Milos Raonic, Kei Nishikori, Grigor Dimitrov, and maybe even David Goffin appear to be more talented than Berdych. Raonic and Nishikori, as examples, already outrank Berdych – when the other younger players emerge the Czech player will have all the more obstacles to clear if he is to win a Masters Series title or Grand Slam.

Personally, I think that those prestigious titles are all but out of reach now for Berdych now. I would look for the Czech to continue to work hard toward his goals. Accordingly, he should continue to pull off occasional upsets in the quarters of big tournaments here and there.

However don’t expect the Czech star to claim another Masters Series event and don’t expect to see him in the final of a Grand Slam. He has rarely had the energy in the late stages of the big tournaments and the 2015 Australian Open is a case in point.

David Ferrer Taking On ATP Nottingham Open 2015

David Ferrer will have a little break after the Roland Garros aka 2015 French Open before becoming of of five world top twenty tennis stars to compete in the new ATP World Tour championship even in Nottingham this June. One thing about it, tennis players have their pick of many matches to choose from the way they keep adding them.

The former world number three is a two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist and reached the 2013 French Open final.

Now ranked eighth in the world, the Spaniard has already won three titles this year and joins compatriot Feliciano Lopez on the entry list.

David Goffin and Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gilles Simon will also play.

Aljaz Bedene, who gained British citizenship last month, is the second Briton on the list after James Ward announced his participation in March .

Nick Kyrgios, who beat Rafael Nadal in the fourth round at Wimbledon last year, will return after winning the 2014 Nottingham Challenge title.

The tournament begins on 22 June, the week before Wimbledon.

The former Nottingham Open, a men’s tournament held at the city’s tennis centre, folded in 2008 after 14 years as a warm-up event for the sport’s only Grand Slam to be played on grass.

Meanwhile, it was announced in December that the East Midlands venue will also stage a WTA women’s tournament from 8-14 June.

John Wall Not Enough As Washington Wizards Lose To Atlanta Hawks

Despite the broken hand, John Wall was a go for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals between the Washington Wizards and the Atlanta Hawks. With the series tied 2-2, Wall wanted to do all he could to put the Wizards in a position to close out the series at home in Game 6.

Things started out pretty well for the Wizards, who nursed a 47-41 lead at halftime. The 3rd quarter started out well again for the Wizards, but ended with the Hawks outscoring them by seven points.

The 4th quarter is when things got interesting. The Wizards looked like they were going to run away with this game; but a deep three by Kyle Korver and then a corner three by Al Horford, and suddenly the Hawks were right back in it.

Before you could even tell what was happening, a few big plays on the offensive and defensive sides of the court by Horford had his team up by five.

Enter The Truth. Paul Pierce wasn’t going home easily, especially after the crowd chanted “Paul Pierce sucks!” Maybe they forgot about this game-winning shot in Game 3; or maybe Atlanta is just jealous that while Pierce has gotten better and better as the season progressed, the Hawks have been on a steady decline since the All-Star Break. Respect greatness, guys…

Anyways, Pierce hit a three to bring the Wiz within two. Shortly after, Pierce hit another three from the corner, putting them up by one with just under 10 seconds to go. That sure shut the crowd up.

Well, in the end, the Hawks got the last laugh. Dennis Schroder’s game-winning layup attempt was blocked, but Horford came out of nowhere for the rebound. His shot found the bottom of the net, and with no timeouts for the Wizards that was all she wrote.

The series shifts back to Washington, D.C. for Game 6 on Friday.

Rafael Nadal vs Stan Wawrinka: 2015 Rome Masters Open Quarters

Stan Wawrinka knocked out Dominic Thiem from the 2015 Rome Masters Open quarter-finals rather quickly 7-6(3), 6-4 on Thursday, and now he gets to go up against Rafael Nadal who he’s lost eleven matches to. Granted, Wawrinka won their last battle, and can use that as he enters the quarter-finals with the Spanish tennis star.

Stan Wawrinka set a Rome quarter-final clash with Rafael Nadal after dismissing Dominic Thiem 7-6(3), 6-4 on Thursday at theInternazionali BNL d’Italia.

The Swiss will look to overturn a 1-12 FedEx ATP Head2Head record against Nadal, but he did beat the Spaniard in their last meeting, capturing his first Grand Slam championship with victory in the 2014 Australian Openfinal.

The eighth-seeded Wawrinka took his chances in a tight match with Thiem, breaking once in the second set to claim victory in one hour and 38 minutes. The Swiss notched his 20th win of the season as he recorded back-to-back victories for the first time since lifting the Rotterdam trophy (d. Berdych) in February.

The 30-year-old Wawrinka is searching for a return to top form at the Foro Italico, where he reached his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 final in 2008 (l. to Djokovic) and subsequently broke into the Top 10 of the Emirates ATP Rankings.

Seventh seed David Ferrer won an all-Spanish contest with Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-1, 6-3 in 86 minutes, converting five of his 11 break points. The right-hander goes on to face David Goffin, who was granted a place in the quarter-finals when Andy Murray withdrew.

The 33-year-old Ferrer has reached at least the quarter-finals in eight of his 10 events this season, lifting the trophies in Doha (d. Berdych), Rio de Janeiro (d. Fognini) and Acapulco (d. Nishikori). He is looking to reach the Rome final for the second time, after finishing runner-up in 2010 (l. to Nadal).

Rafael Nadal Flawlessly Ousts John Isner From 2015 Rome Masters Quarter-finals

rafael nadal ousts john isner for 2015 rome masters open quarter finals images

Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal reminded fans of what he’s capable of as as he flawlessly knocked John Isner from the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters with a 6-4 6-4 victory on Thursday. Nadal has struggled this year, but in the 2015 Madrid Open, he made it to the finals to face Andy Murray, who wound up defeating him. Today, Murray had to withdraw from this open due to exhaustion so Nadal could be on course to face Roger Federer in the Semi-finals and perhaps Novak Djokovic in the finals.

The Spanish great remains on course for an eighth championship in the Italian tournament at yet another clay court competition that he has historically dominated.

But after critically breaking his American opponent once in each set, Nadal was able to progress past the notoriously big-serving Isner in an hour and 19 minutes hours.

Nadal was never unduly troubled by Isner’s service games due to his ability to absorb the power and command returns on his favourite surface.

After the first four games were shared, Nadal created daylight by breaking at the third attempt in the opening set which never looked in doubt after that moment.

Isner’s seven aces and dangerous serving kept him competitive until Nadal moved 5-4 ahead in the second set with a stunning forehand return directly from the high-bouncing serve.

The Spaniard hit just three unforced errors en route to a sixth consecutive win over Isner.

While Nadal now meets the winner between Stan Wawrinka and Dominic Thiem in the next round for a place in the quarter-finals, he admits – at least publicly – he will be sitting on the fence when Real’s arch-rivals Barcelona take on Juventus in the June 6 final of Europe’s premier club competition at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

“I’ve lost a lot of times, and Real Madrid lost yesterday. That’s just part and parcel of sport,” said the Spaniard.

“I have a good friend at Juventus in Fernando Llorente – I will be happy for him – and also Alvaro Morata.

“At the end of the day, if Barcelona win I will be happy for them, but if Juventus win I will also be happy because I have friends there as well.”

In the meantime, Nadal said he was happy with his game but said he was not “consistent enough” to be considered the main favourite for Roland Garros next month, when he will bid for a record 10th title in Paris.

“I’m more than happy, I think I played a fantastic match against very, very tough opponent,” said Nadal.

“Today I did (moved better) and it seems like now I’m having more good days than bad days. The past few months have been on and off.”

Nadal has won the French Open at Roland Garros nine times but said his form on the red dirt so far this season means he won’t be the bookies’ favourite.

He added: “This year for sure I haven’t been consistent enough to be considered the main favourite for Roland Garros.

“Let’s see how I finish this week and then we can start to think about Roland Garros.”

Nadal will next faces Stan Wawrinka.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovic Vie For 2015 Rome Masters Quarters

The Super Four have now been cut down to the Super Three as Andy Murray has had to withdraw from the 2015 Rome Masters Open due to exhaustion. That’s not surprising as he’s been going on fumes for some time now, but that leaves Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal to duke it out. Nadal and Federer could wind up in the semi-finals and Djokovic has a shot at going to finals with either of the two.

The remaining 16 players are all in action on a blockbuster Day 5 in Rome. Eight of the world’s Top 10 feature, with Novak Djokovic,Roger Federer, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal, who boast 83 ATP Masters 1000 titles between them, headlining the day’s play at the Foro Italico. Three players are looking to continue their run of reaching the QF at every tournament they have contested this season: Djokovic (6 of 6), Murray (7 of 7) and Tomas Berdych (8 of 8).

The New York Rangers, playing in the deciding game of their second round series against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, advanced to the Eastern Conference finals behind a dramatic game seven victory. In a one-goal game Derek Stepan, a 24-year old center, joined the likes of Esa Tikkanen, Todd Marchant, Pat Lafontaine, Claude Lemieux, and Martin Gelinas. Just as those players did in years gone by, Stepan scored an overtime winner in game seven of an NHL playoff series.

New York answered in the second period with a powerplay goal from Kevin Hayes. At that point the defences tightened up and no more scoring would come until Stepan broke the 1-1 tie in the overtime session – end the game and Washington’s season.

The series will not only be remembered for the game seven overtime session but for New York’s comeback. Down 3-1 after four games, the Rangers appeared to be done for. However heading into the Eastern Conference finals, New York, who made the Stanley Cup finals last year, are not only far from being done for but they are the new Stanley Cup favorites (source: betway).

CSI: CYBER Ep 110 Recap: Ghost In the Deep Web Machine

On the extra episode of CSI: Cyber, Spencer, a teenage boy in Chicago was playing a video game remotely with his friends. He received a package on his doorstep, opened it and ended up riding his bike to a neighbor’s house to give him the package. As he was looking at an electric drill in the yard a man named Ramsey Scott asked Spencer what he was doing on the man’s lawn and then a hidden gun in the drill went off and killed Spencer

At home Agent Mundo was making out with his ex –wife, Devon, when the smoke detector in the kitchen went off because the couple left eggs cooking on the stove for too long. After he turned off the smoke detector he invited his Devon out to a ball game and dinner with their young daughter and she turned him down because she didn’t want to move so fast. The couple was talking about the state of their relationship when his phone beeped with a text message from Agent Ryan, saying they may have had a break in Spencer’s case.

At the FBI headquarters Agents Ryan and Mundo determined that the company behind the electric drill that killed Spencer was one they had been chasing for years. This put the man running the company, Trigger, in the number seven position on the list of most wanted cyber criminals. Agents Ryan and Mundo then traveled to Chicago to further investigate the case.

When Mundo and Ryan got to Chicago they interviewed Spencer’s distraught parents. Agent Ryan told Spencer’s parents she thought he had purchased a gun from Trigger and that was the gun that ultimately killed him. Daniel and Nelson looked at Spencer’s tablet and realized it had no games or apps on it. They then discouraged Spencer had a parental control app on his tablet that would prevent his parents from knowing what he was really using it for.

Agent Mundo then gave Spencer’s cell phone to Daniel so they could determine what else the boy had been hiding from his parents. He also told Daniel that Spencer’s parents did not know who Ramsey Scott was. Nelson and Daniel determined that Spencer knew Ramsey Scott and purposely went to the man’s house only to be killed in his front yard.

At a business’s building in Chicago Agents Ryan and Mundo was called to a crime scene where they found Ramsey Scott dead. Agent Mundo said that even though Spencer’s death was accidental, Ramsey Scott was murdered. The agents speculated that Spencer had gone to Ramsey Scott’s house to kill him. Agents Mundo and Ryan said if they could figure out how Spencer and Ramsey were connected it would help them find the person that killed Ramsey.

At FBI headquarters Raven told Daniel and Nelson that they couldn’t find a connection between Ramsey and Spencer because they were only looking in the obvious places. Raven then suggested they look at Spencer’s gaming console to determine if there were any clues on their linking the two of them together.

Blacklight: Retribution, the game Spencer played every day, was one that could be played with many other people. They found out that Spencer was ranked in the top 50 most successful Blacklight: Retribution players. By looking further at his gaming files they figured out that part of the game include Spencer taking a delivery to Ramsey’s house. They also found a suspicious player, Viper 75. Agent Ryan said if they found Viper 75 they would find the person who murdered Ramsey.

csi cyber ghost in machine recap 2015 images 533x800-001

Daniel found a recording of Viper 75’s voice in the game. He then isolated conversations that had taken place between Spencer and Viper 75 while they were both playing Blacklight: Retribution. Viper asked Spencer where his dog was and what his dog’s name as well as when his parents were usually him. Spencer said the dog was outside in the yard and his parents were usually working. Agent Mundo said Viper was using the game to find out when Spencer was the most vulnerable.

csi cyber ghost in machine recap 2015 images 533x800

Nelson and Raven found out that Spencer’s avatar in the game was hacked into. Nelson figured out that Viper 75 was the one who did it. The FBI tried to get access to the account through the video game manufacturer and was denied. The FBI team then found another player that may have been involved in the case. They used his screen name, Ace, to track down his IP address and get his home address from that. They figured out Viper contacted Ace when his account was hacked into, just as Spencer’s was. Ace ended up being the person that delivered the gun to the building where Ramsey was killed.

csi cyber ghost in machine recap 2015 images 596x335-001

Nelson and raven tracked down a third player, Goldenbeast (a.k.a Corey) that was about to deliver a package with a gun in it. Agents Mundo and Ryan went to Corey’s apartment and attempted to arrest him but Corey jumped out a window onto the roof of the building and then jumped to the pavement. Upon talking to Goldenbeast they determined he was not the gamer they were looking for. The real Goldenbeast turned out to be a girl named Jessica. In Jessica’s apartment Agents Ryan and Mundo determined where their criminal might be; at a park in Chicago.

At the park the agents desperately tried to figure out who the guilty party was. Suddenly a gun shot was heard in the park. The team at FBI headquarters tracked Trigger down to a public library in Tampa, Florida. Nelson and Daniel went to the library and apprehended Trigger. Once they got into Trigger’s computer they found proof that he was the person that had the packages sent to the previously mentioned video game players.

Agent Ryan caught up with Viper 75. She told him she knew he targeted Ramsey and Spencer for personal reasons. Viper tried to escape but was arrested. He was marked captured on the list of most wanted cyber criminals.

Manchester United managed to secure three points at Crystal Palace on Saturday. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, on the other hand, suffered a shocking loss at the hands of Swansea City now that we’re in the 36th week of the Premier League.

Wenger’s men lost 1 – 0 to Swansea at the Emirates. The Gunners’ boss wasn’t impressed with opponent’s defensive tactics.

“We were unlucky I think against a team who refused to play completely and just defended,” Wenger said. “We’ve scored plenty of goals until recently.

“In the last two home games we didn’t score and that was frustrating when you have so much of the ball and play with such accuracy around the box.

“They defended well. They came just to defend with four defenders and six midfielders, and they defended. That’s it. If you win, you’re fantastic but if you lose people say to you, ‘Why did you not play?’ They won so they are fantastic.”

With the league title already won, the Champions League spots are still up for contention. Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United are fourth on the Premier League table, just two points behind Arsenal. Although, the North Londoners have a game in hand and can easily grab the automatic qualification spot for the Champions League. The Gunners are set to face the Manchester giants at Old Trafford on Sunday and this match can be very crucial in deciding the placement of the teams at the top of the table. If United win both their remaining fixtures and Arsenal slip-up in two out of three matches, the 20-time English champions might finish above Arsenal after the final day.

david de gea saves manchester united vs eagles 2015 premier league

Manchester United grabbed a victory at the Eagles on Saturday and David de Gea was again the savior of his side. Mata and Fellaini netted one each in the 1 – 2 victory over Crystal Palace. Liverpool’s chances of retaining top four suffered a huge blow as the newly crowned champions Chelsea stopped Brendan Rodgers’ men at the Stamford Bridge. Liverpool’s outgoing skipper, Steven Gerrard scored the equalizer to John Terry’s 5th minute strike in the 1 – 1 draw in London. Terry’s goal on Sunday has made him the highest goal scoring defender of all times.

In the post match conference, Brendan Rodgers admitted that they will have to be satisfied with the Europa league spot. He said, “We sit in fifth place and that’s probably where we’re at. If we want to make the next steps, we need to find some acquisitions in the summer to help us do that.

“The players that I’ve worked with have been brilliant, given everything. Like today, we’ve been very unfortunate.”

The former champions Manchester City were rampant against Queens Park Rangers and have now climbed up to the second spot on the table. QPR’s relegation got confirmed after the 6 – 0 loss to City. Sergio Aguero bagged a hattrick in the goal fest on Sunday. Burnley won 0 – 1 against Steve Bruce’s Hull City but it was all in vain as they also got relegated from the English top division. One of Hull City, Newcastle, Sunderland and Leicester are in danger of taking up the last spot.

Bundesliga Game Week 32 Review: Dortmund closer to Europa League spot

bundesliga game week 32 dortmund images 2015

It hasn’t been a memorable season for Jurgen Klopp’s men as they have slumped to the seventh spot in the Bundesliga after a disastrous start to the season. But of late, the 2013 Champions League finalists have cranked it up a notch.

borussia dortmund beats hertha bsc bundesliga 2015

Only a few weeks ago, Borussia Dortmund were in the bottom half of the table but since the announcement of Klopp’s departure has unified the Bundesliga outfit. Dortmund played host to Hertha BSC and the game at Signal Iduna Park ended 2 – 0 in favor of the hosts. Subotic opened the scoring in the 9th minute and Durm’s strike in the second half sealed three points for Dortmund.

schalke lostes to fc koln bundesliga 2015

They are just two points behind Schalke, who lost 2 – 0 to FC Koln at the weekend. Following the defeat, Schalke manager Horst Heldt announced that three players were sacked from the team. Kevin Prince Boateng, Sidney Sam and the 25-year-old midfielder Marco Hoger got on the wrong end of the Schalke manager.

kevin prince boateng vs horst heldt bundesliga 2015

“The relationship of trust with Boateng and Sam is gone”, said Heldt, “And for Höger, we have doubts about his loyalty. He will have the chance to think about that for a week.”

With only two games remaining in the end of this campaign, one slip-up could prove to be very costly for Schalke. Dortmund are eyeing a place in the European competition and thus, the next week’s clash against Wolfsburg is a must-win for Klopp’s men.

barcelona beats bayern munich 2015 bundesliga

Bayern Munich have already clinched the Bundesliga title and hence they don’t have any ambitions remaining in this competition. They lost yet another match in the German league taking their season tally to four losses. Pep Guardiola’s men were eliminated by Barcelona in the midweek and their only consolation was the second leg win at the Allianz Arena. Following the loss at the hands of Catalonian giants Pep Guardiola praised Lionel Messi and also his players at Bayern.

“I am very proud of my players,” Guardiola saif.

“We did everything we could. It’s a pity. I hope we can play better next season. I now want to celebrate our Championship before planning for next season.”

“Congratulations to Barcelona also, I hope they win their fifth Champions League final in Berlin.”

Things are still very tight at the foot of the table. Seven clubs in the bottom half of the table are in danger of going down to the second division of German hierarchy. Stuttgart, 18th, are just a point behind Paderborn, Freiburg and Hannover, all of which have equal point tally of 31. Hence this relegation battle will certainly go down to the wire and the last day of this Bundesliga season will be very exciting for the neutrals.

Celebrity Gossip Roundup: RHOA Kenya Moore’s Prince Comes Out & Nina Debrev Opens Up On Ian Somerhalder

When it comes to celebrity gossip, time really does fly by, and it is already Wednesday. Cissy Houston is making it known that she still blames Bobby Brown for her daughter Whitney’s death, Real Housewives of Atlanta Kenya Moore‘s Prince Charming comes out…or is revealed and Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev talks about Ian Somerhalder’s wedding.

Cissy Houston Blames Bobby Brown for Whitney Houston’s Death

There is no getting around the tragedy of Whitney Houston’s death and the current condition of Bobbi Kristina just adds to the sadness. And while a lot of attention has been put on Bobby Brown, Whitney’s ex-husband, and how he feels/is dealing with the situation, it seems that one of the people most affected by the death of Whitney does not get the empathy that she deserves- Cissy Houston Whitney’s mother.

It comes as no surprise then that Cissy does not think highly of Bobby. In fact, she blames him for Whitney’s death. This is what she had to say in an interview with Entertainment Tonight:

“Whitney was a very soft and easy person. She was kind. She was free-hearted… My baby tried. She did. She just had the wrong partner”

Accusations like this are always hard to stomach for me because there are so many things that go into why someone did what they did and what eventually ended up happening to them.

There are all kinds of speculations about what happened (with the Lifetime unauthorized biography of Whitney claiming that she was already doing drugs when she met Bobby Brown) but when it comes down to it, the choices people make, are the choices that THEY make. And I’m just going to leave it there.

Kenya Moore Prince Charming Comes Out?

Next to NeNe Leaks, Kenya Moore seems to get majority of the headlines (good but mostly bad) out of The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast.

kenya moore with james freeman married man 2015 rhoa

She has been called everything from a whore to an adulteress and now the latest in her salacious love life is that the man she was linked to via the Bravo show “Millionaire Matchmaker” got married right after their episode was filmed. It seems very odd that Patty Stanger would haven’t done a better background check on this guy James Freeman as it would make me very wary of other women going through something similar. At least this guy was outed as being married, but it just seems rather sad.

Being that the episodes of the RHOA show her bragging at times about finding a good man, it does now seem like she was purposefully leaving out the that he was married (which she is saying he was not at the time in a statement she released). All of her “enemies” came out the woodwork too calling her out about the “relationship” and claiming that she once again faked have someone special for the sake of the show.

Along with people like Vivica A. Fox, being messy as hell, other no life twitter folks made Kenya the subject of their “humble opinion” additions to the RHOA hashtag.  Seriously people need to get a life.

Of course not to go without setting the record straight, Kenya posted a statement on her Instagram account.

“Unfortunately, I just learned today [May 12, 2015] that the man I met and fell in love with from Millionaire Matchmaker was married a week after the show aired. I am astounded and devastated to have learned of this news via social media as opposed to from him directly.”

I go back and forth about how I feel about her. Most of the time she is a totally consumed “attention whore” but during the last episodes especially during the reunion, she really showed some maturity. So I like to believe that she didn’t know. I hope she finds real love one day.

Nina Dobrev Set’s the Record Straight About Ian Somerhalder

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder found love on the hit CW show
The Vampire Diaries” where their on screen love translated into a real life relationship that fans just knew would last. I mean, Damon finally got Elena so why would he ever let her go?

But, as reality usually goes, things didn’t work out and Ian Somerhalder not only found someone else, he married her (Nikki Reed). So you know that people and the media always have things to say and made/are making it to seem like the whole thing is a love triangle that Dobrev lost.  But she tells a different story than the one playing out on social media and other outlets.

“I’ve said this before, that we didn’t break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn’t love or friendship…. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now.”

She went on further to address her initial thoughts on hearing about their wedding.
ian somerhalder shirtless ride 2015
“When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful. They look happy and I am happy and so I don’t see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it’s not with us.”

That is very mature of her and I agree, the media needs to back the hell down. Good for her and good for Ian.
