When Microsoft first talked about Project Spartan, many were interested. Oooh, it’s a new browser. Will it replace Firefox, Chrome and Safari? It’s certainly supposed to replace the much-maligned Internet Explorer.
We've known for some time that Windows was basically killing off its search engine Internet Explorer, and now it's Spartan placeholder name has officially become Microsoft Edge. It fits right in with Chrome and Firefox now.
Remember the good old days when the European Union pulled the plug on Internet Explorer being included in Microsoft Windows? Same thing is happening in Russia except Microsoft is no longer the bad guy.
