Seems like trouble runs in the Lohan genes, as Lindsay’s younger brother Michael C. Lohan was arrested for reportedly forging a parking permit. 27-year-old Michael was detained on Thursday in Manhattan following an investigation from the New York State police.
The police revealed in a statement that Michael had displayed a forged parking permit that read “official business.” Also on the permit was a depiction of an NYS government seal. The permit was displayed on his 2015 Audi, which was parked outside of his apartment building in the Gramercy section of the borough.
Michael’s attorney, Mark Heller tells Page Six that the police “just summarily arrested [Michael]” and “put him in handcuffs and put him in a car,” without issuing a formal parking ticket. Mark also revealed that Michael told him he didn’t “intentionally” violate the law. Going on to quote Michael, who apparently explained, “I have never been arrested, and I’m a very hardworking and successful entrepreneur.”
The New York police department stated that Michael was arrested for criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree and criminal impersonation in the second degree, both of which are misdemeanors. His future court appearance is scheduled for December 14.
For the past several months, Rosie O’Donnell’s strained relationship with her adopted daughter Chelsea has been playing out the public eye. This follows an incident a couple months back where 18-year-old Chelsea reportedly ran away from home.
On October 20, Chelsea posted a plea on her social media account saying, “I don’t want to come off rude, that is not my intention. However, I have asked not to be brought into any Rosie drama and that I don’t want to hear anything about her. I would appreciate if anyone who is tagging me or asking me questions about her would please stop. Thank you.” After this, Chelsea proceeded to post a collage of selfies on her social media page.
Now, Rosie has decided to address Chelsea’s plea to her followers in an attempt to distance herself from her adopted mother. On her Twitter, Rosie posted two photos: one of Chelsea’s message to fans asking them to not tag her in posts regarding Rosie and also the Instagram “photo shoot” picture Chelsea posted of herself shortly after.
Along with the photos, Rosie wrote, “18 years ago tomorrow – I met my daughter for the first time…a plea ten days ago…now a photo shoot #choices.”

Chelsea has continued to speak negatively about her mother to the press. Something tells me after this latest tweet from Rosie, we will be hearing more from Chelsea in the near future.
