Cam Newton: 25 facts for Super Bowl 50

$103.8 Million: Total Value of Five-Year Contract

The Panthers inked Newton to a five-year, $103.8 million contract in June 2015, with general manager Dave Gettleman saying at the time, “We believe he’ll take us to the Promised Land.” Now that Newton has the team back in the Super Bowl, Gettleman’s words seem prophetic. The deal earns Newton $60 million in guaranteed money and comes out to an average of nearly $21 million per season. Not a bad deal for the one they call SuperCam.
