As Whitney Houston’s third year anniversary of her death was approaching, I wondered if Bobbi Kristina Brown would pass on that day, and now it’s being reported that the Houston and Brown families have agreed to end her life support on that day. Obviously, to some it might seem a little calculated, but unless you’re in that situation, it’s impossible to know what they’re thinking.
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family have agreed to take her off life support on Wednesday, the NY Post reported today, which would be the third year anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston’s death.The idea is to wait until the stroke of midnight to pull the plug on the life support machine as that is the day that Houston was found dead in a bathtub full of water at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This was something that many people were wondering was happening when the family continued keeping her on life support after the doctors told them there was nothing else they could do. It sounded creepy, but sources are saying that the Brown family see this move as a symbolic way to keep mother and daughter together for eternity.
“This is the only thing they can agree on — that she’s gone [brain-dead], and there’s nothing more than can be done for her,” the source said.
This same source has said that grandmother Cissy Houston broached the idea with the Brown family this past weekend at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
We reported yesterday that the family held a prayer vigil last evening hoping for a miracle to bring back Bobbi Kristina who has been completely unresponsive aside from a slight eye movement since she was found facedown in a bathtub full of water Jan. 31. She has been in a medically induced coma since then.
The families have been at odds as we reported, and filmmaker Tyler Perry has been acting as the olive branch to bridge the gap between them.
Police in the Atlanta area have reportedly begun a criminal investigation in the case for possible foul play as injuries on Brown’s body can’t be explained. The nature of the injuries are still unknown, but TMZ reports that multiple sources, including many family members, have said there is a history of violence between Bobbi Kristina and boyfriend Nick Gordon. This information, along with the injuries are leading authorities to target Gordon at the moment.
Mutual friend, Max Lomas, who discovered Bobbi Kristina facedown in a bathtub full of water, stated that he arrived at their home around 9 a.m. ET last Saturday. Gordon was around, but when asked about Bobbi Kristina, he told Lomas that she was in the bedroom. It wasn’t until an hour later that the body was discovered when a cable serviceman needed access to the bedroom so no one knows exactly how long she was without oxygen. TMZ also reports that Lomas claimed Gordon allegedly cleaned up their home along with removing blood stains.
Law enforcement sources are claiming that Lomas’ attorney insisted on immunity before his client spoke to the police, but as of Friday, there has been no immunity given to him. He has not spoken to the police any further while Gordon has also retained legal services.
