The Dutch manager had already offloaded a lot of players from the Manchester United line-up which he inherited from David Moyes. LVG has brought in Memphis Depay, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Darmian and Romero to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window. It is believed that the 63-year-old is looking to add in two more players to his squad. Keylor Navas from Real Madrid is set to replace David de Gea, who is going in the opposite direction. Navas is a quality goalkeeper and he could prove to be a decent substitution for the Spaniard. Either of Victor Valdes or Sergio Romero can be given the number 2 spot at Old Trafford.

The French footballer Anthony Martial was quite an unknown figure in world football but in 24 hours time he has become a very popular player. The highly rated 19 year old is set to join the Red Devils and it is believed that a confirmation will soon be made by the club as soon as the medical is complete. Manchester United have sold Javier Hernandez to Bayer Leverkusen in order to create space for the Frenchman. Chicharito’s performance against Club Brugge in the Champions League play off is believed to be the main reason for the offloading of the player. Van Gaal sent Hernandez on a loan to Real Madrid to give more chances to the likes of Falcao, Van Persie and Rooney. The Mexican striker can certainly thrive at Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga as it is a comparatively weaker league to the Premier League.

The striker told Bayer Leverkusen’s official website: “I know the English Premier League and the Primera Division in Spain, two of the three major European leagues. Now I want to experience the Bundesliga.

“It’s wonderful that I get to play for a club like Bayer Leverkusen. It’s a great opportunity for me and I want to achieve something here.”

Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Voller told their club website: “With ‘Chicharito’, we have more possible variations and we’ll be more unpredictable. He’s a lively, agile and fast striker who is strong, has a good technique and a very good record. I am delighted that he has chosen to join Bayer Leverkusen. The Bundesliga can look forward to seeing a great player.”

Chicharito isn’t the only United player to leave the club for the German league. Adnan Januzaj will be joining the German giants, Borussia Dortmund but the only difference will be that the Belgian will return to England after a one year loan spell. It is also believed that another youngster, Wilson, will be heading to a Premier League on season long role as Van Gaal is looking to bring sign more players on the deadline day.
