Remember when all these celebrities were trying to mediate the huge Twitter feud between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minja? Well, you wouldn’t even have remembered it happening with the opening of Sunday night’s VMA’s which featured Nicki Minaj with a surprise pop up from Taylor Swift. You can check out the full performance opening number just below.
It was truly a superb way to open the VMA’s as Minaj is always guaranteed an over the top performance, but near the end when Swift rises onto the stage, and sings her way to her now friend, you almost wonder if this was all just a great publicity stunt. The feud hit at the right time to lead up to the VMA’s. It actually doesn’t matter as it’s one of those performances that will be talked about until Taylor’s next Twitter feud/misunderstanding.
Minaj opened the show with a bang, performing “Trini Dem Girls” before introducing a special guest. Swift joined her during “The Night Is Still Young,” sending the audience (and Twitter) into a frenzy.
Swift then launched into her hit “Bad Blood,” and afterword, the two, who previously made headlines for a Twitter beef, hugged it out on stage.
