This week’s celebrity gossip includes a new member of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, drug abuse in the music industry, an engagement and much more. Fans of Big Bang Theory will be happy to know that Jim Parsons is the latest celebrity to receive the honor of a Hollywood Walk of Fame induction. His mother, boyfriend and several fellow cast members were present at the induction ceremony on Wednesday.
The Philippines is not exactly welcoming music group One Direction into their country for an upcoming concert. Local government authorities have stated that each member of the group must take a drug test before they will be allowed to enter the country. Bar Refaeli recently got engaged to boyfriend Adi Ezra. The couple has known each other since 2013 and despite their 10 year age different Refaeli thinks her older man is a perfect match for her and stated that men with more experience are easier to date.
While women like Bar Refaeili are sure of themselves, others can’t say the same. Russian supermodel Irina Shayk recently stated in a magazine interview that the five years she spent in a romantic relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo have left her insecure and that the couple is no longer together. She explained that having the wrong man makes a woman feel ugly.
In shocking news, Madonna confessed during a recent interview with Howard Stern that she was raped shortly after arriving in NYC at the age of 19. The singer reported that she was too shell shocked to tell anyone what had happened to her. This is only the second time she has publically talked about this incident. She previously mentioned it during a 2013 interview with Harper Bazaar magazine.
Madonna is also making headlines for expressing her satisfaction with her collaboration with Kanye West on three songs for her recent album. She stated that the album included a lot of reminiscing and that as far as she is concerned “Kanye is the new Madonna.” She referred to herself and Kanye as comrads.
Miami Beach police were called to the home of Lil Wayne this week in what turned out to be a hoax. The person that called the police told them that four people had been shot at the house and that the shooter wanted to start a firefight with police. Lil Wayne reportedly was not home at the time of the incident.
Lindsay Lohan is in hot water this week after she tweeted about a recent Kanye West concert and included the dreaded N word in her tweet. After receiving backlash from many of her followers, Lohan deleted the offensive tweet.
Pharrel Williams and Robin Thicke learned an expensive lesson this week when they were both found guilty of copyright infringement and now have to shell out $7.3 million to the family of Marvin Gaye. The two collaborated on the song Blurred Lines in 2013, but a jury determined that they ripped of Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up,” released in 1977.
While in Australia filming the next Pirates of the Carribbean movie, Johnny Depp reportedly suffered a hand injury off set, according to a source. There are rumors that Depp will have to undergo surgery before resuming work on the movie.
The drama between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey continues as Cannon is stating that Carey sold the couple’s mansion in Bel Air without even telling him. According to Nick, who has filed a lawsuit not only against Mariah but against her business manager too, the house was sold behind his back. Her business manager fought back by stating that Cannon is desperate and is filing a frivolous lawsuit.
On an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week Jussie Smollet, an actor on the TV show Empire, admitted that, like his character in the show, he is gay in real life as well. He told Ellen that she had inspired him and he felt she was very inspiration for gays and lesbians all over the country.
It seems that Bill Cosby’s career may be starting to bounce back after recent allegations that in the 70s and 80s he assaulted several women. During an episode of Good Morning America earlier this week, a promotional video that he filmed for an upcoming project was aired.
Hilary Duff threw a baby shower for her sister Haylie this week. Several celebrity guests were in attendance at the shower, including Kaley Cuoco, Lauren Conrad and Lacey Chabert. The shower reportedly included ice cream and cupcakes in pastel colors.
Scott Disick has come under fire for his last minute cancellation of a planned appearance at a southern England nightclub. The nightclub manager he cancelled on alleges that Scott, through his manager’s twitter account, informed the manager the night of his scheduled appearance that he was not going to be able to make it. According to the manager Scott decided to go party in Paris instead. He also said that Scott’s manager was spineless and wouldn’t return phone calls from the manager.
In town for Paris Fashion Week, Lady Gaga is making headlines after one of her bodyguards allegedly choked a fan who tried to get too close to Gaga as she left her hotel. Fans are making quite a stir during Paris Fashion Week as Robert Pattinson and Kendall Jenner ran into similar problems.
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s alleged boyfriend Nick Gordon reportedly entered a rehab facility this week due to both suicidal tendencies and drug abuse owing to his struggle to be near Brown as she lies comatose in an Atlanta hospital. Gordon was the subject of an intervention led by TV host Dr. Phil McGraw.
Cate Blanchett recently announced she had adopted a baby girl with her husband Andrew. The couple has three sons ranging in age from six to 13 years old. The actress once told Time magazine that she only takes on projects that allow her to continue raising her children with her husband.
