One Direction Goes It Along For Awhile
Unfortunately, the bad luck of Friday the 13th has come down on the fans of boy band, One Direction. While the “Directioners” were gifted the band’s new album Made in the A.M. today, they were also presented the news that the band’s planned hiatus will last two years.
In an interview with BBC 1 Radio, member Liam Payne spilled that the world is going to have to go the next two years without One Direction. He explained that he is looking forward to being able to write more while on break, saying, “writing’s not really a job, it’s so much fun, we’ve always had to rush it. So it’s nice in these two years I’m going to write some songs and see what happens.”
While some are speculating that Liam was just using two years as an estimate or a figure of speech, others are shocked by the definite time period that Liam put on the band’s hiatus.
Later in the interview, band member and father-to-be Louis Tomlinson revealed that the four band members would still be working together while on break. He said, “We’ll probably team up and do a bit of writing together.” He went on to joke, “I’m going to take over the world of music and Niall’s becoming a golf pro.”
Interestingly enough, both One Direction and Justin Bieber had their albums drop today and critics are unanimous is calling Biebs the future while the Harry Stiles and company are living in the past. Maybe the two years will help them catch up to the future.
Kris Jenner Opens Up To London
Kardashian matriarch and momager, Kris Jenner opened up to London’s Evening Standard magazine. In an interview, Kris discusses her ex Caitlyn Jenner, Lamar Odom and her close-knit family.
Kris tells the magazine that she ensures her family doesn’t take things too seriously, especially since they are often the punch line of jokes. She confessed, “We’re in on the jokes. I don’t have any regrets. I always tell my kids, ‘Don’t take yourselves too seriously.’”
The magazine asked Kris whether she believed Caitlyn was intimidated by her during their over two-decade long marriage. Kris answered, “I didn’t think so at the time, but perhaps. You’d have to ask him – Or her.” Kris defused the subject when asked further about Caitlyn, saying, “I’m not going to talk about [my past marriage]…I wish everybody well; when it comes to everybody else’s journey, as far as people that are trying to find themselves, this is a very fresh and new thing, so I think it’s important for me to let her tell her own story.”
When asked about her former son-in-law Lamar Odom, who is recovering from being found unconscious outside of a Las Vegas brother, Kris explained, “Khloe would never want anyone that she loves to be in a bad place of in pain.” Going on to say, “When you love someone, you love someone. Family is family. We all love him.”
Kris and her larger-than-life family will be returning to E! for the 11th season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians on Sunday, at 9e/6p.
