Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ruled the box office a third week while Chris Hemsworth's 12 Soldiers and Den of Thieves came in behind despite being critical duds. Hugh Jackman's The Greatest Showman has been the sleeper surprise continuing to hold on strong.
"Daddy's Home 2" and Kenneth Branaugh's "Murder On the Orient Express" proved older audiences will come out to theaters with the right films while Chris Hemsworth's third outing for Marvel holds on to the top box office spot with "Thor: Ragnarok."
Overall, Thor: Ragnarok is a fun and enjoyable film for those who enjoy a comedy film every now and then. This may bother some folks who think that this film is too over the top for its own good and overcompensates for how the character has been handled in his MCU appearances. That too is a minor issue on my part, but Thor could use a break.
