This week, we have not one – but two – adorable, adoptable cuties ready for you!

We here at MovieTVTechGeeks are so excited to continue our teaming up with North Shore Animal League America. Through collaborating with Animal League America, we have been able to further raise awareness for pet adoption and rescue. In addition, thanks to our readers, we have also been able to find loving homes for countless deserving animals – both cats and dogs!

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we are working even harder this year to get even more pets adopted than last year.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

Now, please help give a warm welcome to Febo and Fido!

Febo and Fido are just as adorable as their names. They are twin 7-month-old Shepherd/Corgi mixes. These two were fortunate enough to be rescued from the horrific Yulin Dog Festival, which animal lovers have been working tirelessly to stop over the past few years. Back in May, Febo and Fido were brought to North Shore Animal League America by the equally admirable animal organization, the Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation. Just like many twins, Febo and Fido have an extremely close bond. This is why Animal League America is looking to find one home for both of these pups.

At the shelter, Febo and Fido can often be found hanging out together. They love to wrestle and play during the day, as well as snuggle up with each other at night. Their resilience and infectious spirit make them great additions to any suitable and loving home.

Generally, Shepherd’s are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and energy. They are often their happiest when given a task, such as fetching a Frisbee or showing off all of the tricks they have been taught. They make excellent family pets, as they love to tag along for a day at the park or at the beach. Based on their Shepherd background, it is suggested that Febo and Fido get 30-60 minutes of exercise a day at the very least, as they will need an opportunity to expend their innate energy.

Rosie Tombolo, a Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America notes, “Febo and Fido are sweet dogs in need of a patient family who is willing to teach them how to trust and love their human companions.”

North Shore’s staff recommends that Febo and Fido go to a home with children (if any) who are over the age of 12. They would thrive in a home with loved ones who can play fetch with them and spoil them with lots of treats. If you are interested in adopting Febo and Fido, but already have a canine at home, North Shore invites you to drop by the shelter and do a meet-and-greet with Febo, Fido, and your current dog(s) to make sure that they all get along.

If you have the space in your home and the time to take care of this duo, please contact RosemarieT@animalleague.org.
