UPDATE: King Henry has found a great home for the New Year!

Now, time for our last “Adopt Me” feature before Christmas!

For well over a year, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks have been teaming up with North Shore Animal League America to feature adoptable pets – cats and dogs – every week. Fortunately, with the support of our loyal readers, we have been able to help North Shore find homes for nearly every pet we have featured on our site thus far. You can see the other rescue pets that are looking for a wonderful warm holiday home here.

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we hope to continue to find loving, suitable homes for even more pets.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

Now…meet the adorable and regal…King Henry!

The handsome King Henry is a young adult, domestic longhaired kitty. Fortunately, he was rescued by North Shore from the New York Tri-State area. He has beautiful, soft long white fur and striking yellow-green eyes. His perky little ears and pink button nose will undoubtedly capture the heart of any animal lover.

Like most of his cat counterparts, King Henry can undoubtedly help mature children learn responsibility, value for life, socialization and help build their self-esteem. He can also provide ample companionship to adults and seniors and improve their feelings of self-worth. Taking care of him can also help provide a sense of purpose for his owners.

It has been said that pet owners smile more, laugh more and form special friendships with other animal owners and lovers. King Henry will surely bring these improvements to his new owners’ lives and help them lead a more joyful life.

Cats are extremely versatile and adaptable animals, making them the perfect pet option for almost every household. As mainly independent animals, cats are often low maintenance and are perfect for those who live an active and busy lifestyle who may not be able to take on the responsibility that is associated with owning a dog.

Rosie Tombolo, the Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America notes, “King Henry is a big mush. He loves receiving treats and playing with toys! King Henry chirps for attention, and rubs against your legs when he wants to be petted.”

The staff at North Shore recommends that King Henry go to a home where he is the only four-legged friend roaming around. In addition, it is best that he go to a family with children (if any) above the age of 12.

Moreover, not only will King Henry’s adorable and handsome looks win you over, but his well-rounded and lovable personality will as well. He is full of joy and has a playful spark that will undoubtedly bring a whole new light to any family. Help us find King Henry a welcoming home that he can finally call his forever kingdom.
