This rescue Calico Coco will add plenty of flavor to a new home

Once again, we are back with our weekly “Adopt Me” feature. For those of you who don’t know, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks have been partnering up with North Shore Animal League America for over two years now, trying to raise further awareness for pet adoption and rescue. Through featuring an adoptable pet – both cats and dogs – on our site every week, we have been able to help find homes for dozens of deserving animals. This week, we return with an adorable little kitty who is ready to find a loving forever home and family.

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we hope to continue to find loving, suitable homes for even more pets.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

Now, please put your hands together for…Coco!

Coco is a friendly 7-year-old female, dilute Calico Domestic short-haired cat. Her fur coat features a beautiful array of soft colors, including gray, white and light orange/yellow. Coco was fortunate enough to be rescued by the admirable staff at North Shore from her previously unsuitable living conditions in North Carolina. While at first, she can be rather shy, it does not take long for her to warm up to new people and let her inherently sweet/friendly personality shine through.

It has been said that pet owners smile more, laugh more and form special friendships with other animal owners and lovers. Coco will surely bring these improvements to his new owners’ lives and help them lead a more joyful life.

Cats are extremely versatile and adaptable animals, making them the perfect pet option for almost every household. As mainly independent animals, cats are often low maintenance and are perfect for those who live an active and busy lifestyle who may not be able to take on the responsibility that is associated with owning a dog.

Jessica Uster, a Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America Notes, “Coco is a kitten at heart. She spends her time playing and roaming around with other laid back cats.” Based on her independent nature, the staff at North Shore recommends that Coco goes to a fairly quiet home.

Moreover, Coco is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. She is a very healthy feline with plenty of joy-filled years ahead of her. She is more than ready to start the next chapter of her life with a loving family she can call her own. Whether you are looking to laugh and play or just hang out and cuddle for the day, Coco is truly the perfect four-legged companion to welcome into your home.
