Bradley Cooper Ready To Be An ORPHAN X

bradley cooper ready to be an orphan x

Bradley Cooper is one busy man without any signs of stopping as he’s working out a deal with Warner Bros. to produce and more than likely star in “” a book that hasn’t even been published yet.

After the massive success of “American Sniper,” Warner Bros. is keeping actor Bradley Cooper as close as possible to them, the Hollywood Reporter reported today, as they are in negotiations to pick up film rights for Gregg Hurwitz’s upcoming book, “Orphan X.”

They are looking at this as a vehicle for Cooper to produce with Todd Phillips, his partner, but you can bet the studio wants his face just as much in front of the camera as behind it. Cooper and Phillips have a production company deal with Warner Bros. They’ve not come up with a name for it yet, but it should include the words ‘very busy.’

Hurwitz will write the adaptation, which is a thriller centering around a man called Evan Smoak, who’s called a “Nowhere Man.” He helps others by any means necessary which means things can sometimes get violent. He takes on a job that pulls him into the world of slavery that’s been devised by a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. I’m sure with all the bad press the police have gotten this past year, they’ll appreciate this one.

“Orphan X” is slated to be released in hardback February 2016 and is his latest book. His previous works include “Don’t Look Back”, “Tell No Lies” and ‘The Survivor” and he also wrote for both Marvel and DC on comics featuring Wolverine, Punisher and Batman.

He has also worked in Hollywood, having sold a spec script titled “Expulsion” to Warner Bros. in 2010 and serving as a writer-consulting producer on the ABC series “V”.

Cooper most recently starred in “American Sniper” which has done massive box office, breaking many records while also serving as quite a conduit for controversy. The film has earned six Oscar nominations while earning over $361 million worldwide.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Family Not Giving Up Hope For Miracle

Bobbi Kristina Browns Family Not Giving Up Hope For Miracle

It’s been a few days since there was a surprise shocker coming out from the Bobbi Kristina Brown case, but as it’s only two days away from the anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death three years ago, it feels like things have gotten to be inevitable. The Bruce Jenner car crash has taken away some media attention, but now that there’s a criminal investigation into this, most people know that things are going to get very messy for everyone in the Brown family.

Even though the doctors feel there’s nothing more to be done, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family isn’t ready to give up hope, CBS reported today, as they are holding a “Shining a Light for Healing” prayer vigil.

“There has been no change” in her condition,” a Brown family member said. “We are hoping that God will see fit to perform a miracle in her, so that he will get the glory. Everyone is praying; we have laid hands on Krissi and have been praying for a miracle. I don’t know why that is so controversial. If it were your child, you would do the same thing. Where there is life, there is hope.”

The miracle prayer vigil is being planned for Monday night and will take place at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center in Riverdale, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.

Bobbi Kristina is still in a coma with no signs of potential recovery. As we reported last week, Bobby Brown is refusing to take his daughter off life support due to his religion and belief that God will deliver a miracle. These feeling have not been shared by her doctors, who have advised that she will not improve and stopping life support is the most appropriate choice. Family members have talked to him about this, but as of this morning, he is remaining steadfast to his beliefs.

Nick Gordon Alleged Target For Police In Bobbi Kristina Brown Case

Police in the Atlanta area have reportedly begun a criminal investigation in the case for possible foul play as injuries on Brown’s body can’t be explained. The nature of the injuries are still unknown, but TMZ reports that multiple sources, including many family members, have said there is a history of violence between Bobbi Kristina and boyfriend Nick Gordon. This information, along with the injuries are leading authorities to target Gordon at the moment.

Mutual friend, Max Lomas, who discovered Bobbi Kristina facedown in a bathtub full of water, stated that he arrived at their home around 9 a.m. ET last Saturday. Gordon was around, but when asked about Bobbi Kristina, he told Lomas that she was in the bedroom. It wasn’t until an hour later that the body was discovered when a cable serviceman needed access to the bedroom so no one knows exactly how long she was without oxygen. TMZ also reports that Lomas claimed Gordon allegedly cleaned up their home along with removing blood stains.

Law enforcement sources are claiming that Lomas’ attorney insisted on immunity before his client spoke to the police, but as of Friday, there has been no immunity given to him. He has not spoken to the police any further while Gordon has also retained legal services.

This sad incident comes less two days away before the third anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death on Feb. 11, at the Beverly Hilton just hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammys bash.

Bruce Jenner Handing Cell Phone Over To L.A. Police Voluntarily

Bruce Jenner is being very smart in letting it be known that he’s willing to voluntarily hand over his cell phone to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. In the pictures that photographers took of the accident as it occurred, it did not look like he was texting or on the cell phone. When you see the pictures, he’s looking ahead at the car in front of him, and you know when cars start slamming on the brakes, it can be a major chain reaction, especially in L.A. Plus that road is known to be extremely dangerous and has taken many lives.

After it was reported that paparazzi wasn’t to blame for Bruce Jenner’s fatal car crash, the Olympic gold medalist announced that he was handing over his cell phone to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. to prove he wasn’t texting or making a call on Saturday at the time of the accident, TMZ has reported today.

Since TMZ seems to have a batphone hooked in directly to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept, an official there confirmed that rather than force authorities to get a search warrant for his phone, Jenner was voluntarily handing it over to them. Because he gave his promise verbally, the Dept. needs to get it in writing to be able to gain access to that information from the cell phone carrier.

Woman Killed In Bruce Jenner Three Car Accident

Legal sources are saying that the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” partriarch most likely won’t be charged with a crime, but he can be suit in civil court as there’s a law about following another car too closely. We reported yesterday that the white Prius in front of traffic made a sudden stop causing the white Lexus to crash into it and then Jenner’s vehicle hit the Lexus. Officials have said that Jenner should have been further away from the Lexus since he was pulling a trailer with Polaris UTV.

Criminal defense attorney James E. Silverstein spoke out regarding the possibility that Jenner will be facing jail time due to negligence in the accident, revealing:

“Bruce Jenner has put himself in a tough spot. He has admitted driving a vehicle which struck another vehicle, causing at least one death and several other serious injuries. He has apparently told the Sheriff’s Department that he was not driving under the influence and was attempting to flee paparazzi who were on his tail.”

Silverstein reveals that because of the seriousness of the collision, the case will certainly be investigated to determine the degree of charges that could be held against the former Olympian.

Silverstein stresses that vehicular manslaughter will most likely be the charge filed against Jenner, revealing that it could either be “a misdemeanor or a felony,” depending on the degree of negligence determined, which can result in up to six years in prison.

Jenner was on his way back from picking up his Polaris UTV at a wounded veterans group he had loaned it to.

There will obviously be more to this story as the days go on, and we’ll report to you what we find out.

RIP Ed Sabol, Founder Of NFL Films

RIP Ed Sabol Founder Of NFL Films

Ed Sabol, founder of NFL Films, died Monday at the age of 98. This man deserves as much credit for the NFL’s success as any other single person. That is not an exaggeration. It’s a solid fact. What he did for the NFL was make the game experience a personal affair instead of just an athletic contest. Ed Sabol had a vision to make professional football into art, one game at a time.

It has been just a couple of years since Ed Sabol’s son Steve passed away. Steve was more at the forefront of NFL Films, but both these men had a passion for the work they created. This duo helped shape the fan perception of the NFL for over 50 years. NFL Films won over 100 Emmy Awards along the way and entertained untold numbers of football fans even when there were no live games to watch.

ed sabol founder of nfl films 2015 images

Ed Sabol was a filmmaker who happened to love the NFL. If he had been in love with another sport, then who knows what the NFL looks like today. And who knows how another sport could have benefited from his skills. The NFL is not on top of TV ratings just because of players, coaches, and fans’ team loyalty. The brand took many years to build up. Ed Sabol’s NFL Films company helped make the viewing experience something to behold.

Today we have a ton of options to enhance our NFL watching experience. There are shows that debate the games for hours on end, along with the full morning of pre game coverage on Sundays. The NFL even has its own network that covers the league 24 hours a day. Think anyone saw that coming back in the beginning of the league when they were less popular than boxing, baseball, and even college football? Ed Sabol deserves much of the credit for bringing the NFL to the forefront of the sports world in America when it could have just as easily remained an afterthought among casual sports fans.

I have personally experienced what it’s like to have an impact on people through film work on a tiny tiny scale. A few years back, I made personalized gymnastic highlight videos for kids on my daughter’s team. I added some cool music, a few graphics, and used simple slow motion techniques that I thought looked nice. I probably subconsciously remembered those slow-mo cuts on the NFL Films I used to catch as a kid. I was told later by my wife that parents loved the gymnastic highlights I had created and that more than a few of the dads actually cried as they watched their daughter’s routine with the added music and special effects. This made me feel great about the work I had done. Getting a grown man to cry showed how impactful a film can be. I’m no Ed Sabol, as if that needs stating. I was just doing something for our gym team and wanted to do a good job. What I did on a small scale was enhance a memory for the fans of our little team. The memory was already great as we were watching our children do something they enjoyed. The video work just captured the moment and made it more memorable and special.

What I did for a handful of people, Ed Sabol did for a nation. He and his son made a nation care about NFL football in a way that trumped the other games in town. He made us cry, yell, laugh like hell, and remember the heroes and villains of the game in a more vivid way. He took an already great game and made it better by creating a story around it. It’s easy to forget a 20 – 17 game after a couple of years. A contest that was spun into a theatrical display of courage, grit, and athletic beauty will stay in one’s memory a lot longer. That’s what Ed Sabol did for the NFL. He made it stay on fans’ minds by creating work that was unforgettable. This man will be truly missed by me and anyone who loves the NFL. But his work lives on and that is the mark of a special person. Ed Sabol, unforgettable.

Daniel Craig Back To James Bond Duty As SPECTRE Filming Begins Again

Knee injuries can be tricky, but Daniel Craig isn’t letting that stop him from returning to shooting the latest 007 film “Spectre” after production was halted late last week.

After suffering a knee injury on the set of the latest James Bond movie, Daniel Craig is back to filming “Spectre” again, Deadline reported yesterday.

“Everything is fine. We have been filming today,” said an on-location production staffer.

Craig has suffered many injuries in his four tours as 007, but this one was serious enough to halt productions, sent all the extras home and seriously freak out the producers.

Craig hurt his knee during a dramatic action scene being shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckingham, England. The injury was severe enough to cause filming to be brought to a halt with extras being sent home. As the 007 films are very expensive with a tight production schedule, any issues like this can cause quite the panic.

This isn’t the first wrench thrown into the production schedule as producers had planned to shoot key scenes on the 15th century Ponte Sisto bridge in Rome, including having Craig leap from a helicopter, but that has been stopped. Religious campaigners since the bridge holds special significance with links to Pop Innocent X, and this led them to hold protests in the Italian capital. Director Sam Mendes had been prepared to begin shooting in that location in March, but things are on hold as they continue looks for a less controversial site.

Former 007, Sir Roger Moore jokingly tweeted that he was ready to don the tuxedo once again if needed.

Spectre” is the fourth James Bond film that Craig has starred in, and it began filming in December with Sam Mendes. Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner) and Ralph Fiennes (M) will be returning. Christopher Waltz is a new face in the cast set to play a classic 007 villain.

“Spectre” is set to be released in theaters Nov. 6 as long as no other production delays happen.

Dan Quinn’s Uphill Battle With Atlanta Falcons

Dan Quinns Uphill Battle With Atlanta Falcons

I have no doubt that Dan Quinn is a defensive guru, wizard, genius, and any other word that describes his ability to stop offenses. He proved his worth in Seattle the past couple of years. While the Seahawks’ defense got a lot of press because of Richard Sherman’s uncanny ability to move the needle when it comes to publicity, the defense truly was historically great. The numbers bear it out as does the fact that they went on back to back Super Bowl trips. Quinn faces an uphill battle in Atlanta and I’m not sure he knows exactly how tough a road he has ahead of him.

The Atlanta Falcons defense is the opposite of Seattle’s. The Falcons D has been historically bad the past few years. I’m not digging into numbers with them, but as a Falcons’ fan I can tell you they have been atrocious the past two years. Not only could they not stop a nose bleed, to quote Bart Scott, but they couldn’t stop an opposing offense if they were allowed to tranquilize eight starters before each game. The reason for the awful state of the Atlanta defense is very complicated. I will try and break it down in the simplest way possible. I have used a couple of spreadsheets and wacky formulas to come to this conclusion, so stay with me here. Ready? THEY HAVE NO TALENT ON DEFENSE.

Dan Quinn may be the greatest defensive mind in the game and he still can’t turn crap into gold. Mike Smith was a solid defensive coach, having been with the Super Bowl winning Ravens in 2000 as the linebackers coach. Smith had little success with his defenses in the ATL. Atlanta is simply lacking the players needed to slow down, much less stop an opposing offense.

I hope Dan Quinn succeeds where Mike Smith failed. I have been a Falcons’ fan since I was old enough to be forced to get up and turn the TV by hand with the little knob and then go out and turn the antenna by hand if the station wasn’t clear. Hard times youngsters. No cable or dish for me as a five year old. The Falcons had very little to brag about back then either. There were a few good seasons here and there, but there was no consistency to speak of. No back to back winning seasons until Mike Smith arrived says it all about the history of the franchise. Let me say that again, no back to back winning seasons from 1966 to 2007! An accidental back to back 9-7 season seems more probable.

I am always a proponent of the players being the difference in football. I know coaches make a big impact, but the X’s and O’s can’t make up for a lack of football ability when the whistle blows. Let’s say that Dan Quinn’s football IQ is so high that he improves the Falcons’ defense by 20 percent. That still isn’t enough to make them into a real contender. Outscoring the opposition has been the plan for the past three years in Atlanta, which is not surprising considering GM Thomas Dimitroff came from New England. That plan worked one out of three seasons. The past two got Smith fired and should have cost Dimitroff his gig as well.

atlanta falcons matt ryan gets a butt sandwich game from patriots 2015

Quinn has not only the problems on defense to deal with, but he has an offensive line that is as bad as the defense. He has to fix that immediately. Having one of the best quarterbacks in the game matters not if he is running for his life game in and game out. The Carolina season finale was as bad an example of offensive line play as I have ever witnessed. If I had been Matt Ryan’s dad I would have come down from the stands and asked to fill in for any of the inept guys that were letting my boy get pummeled.

So how does Quinn get better in a hurry? And make no mistake, it needs to happen in a hurry. He has the right guy at QB to win a Super Bowl, but Matt Ryan won’t be around forever. That window is always closing. Just ask Peyton Manning. One Super Bowl victory is all Peyton will ever get and he is one of the best to ever play the game. Dan Quinn obviously needs to have a good draft this year. That will set him up for the future. That is only part of the puzzle. How does he get better immediately? He needs free agents that are hungry and he needs to explore every possible trade scenario not involving Matt Ryan. That puts the target squarely on the back of #11. Julio Jones is a beast at wide out. I love him as a play maker even though I feel like he has underachieved thus far. But if the Falcons can go 6-10 with him, they can certainly do the same without him.

matt ryan atlanta falcons 2015

I don’t think Atlanta can get over on some hapless team the way Dallas did Minnesota in the Hershel Walker deal. I do feel like they could get some good pieces for Jones though. If Tom Brady can make some lesser name receivers look like All Pros then so can Ryan. If not then he is not the answer at quarterback. I believe he is though. Just look at the rookie standouts at wide receiver in 2014. Odell Beckham was a beast. Mike Williams wrecked defensive backfields. Kelvin Benjamin and Sammy Watkins were dominant rookies as well. If the Falcons can get value for Julio Jones, they should pull the trigger. Then they can roll the dice on a rookie replacement for Jones in the upcoming draft.

Dan Quinn comes into Atlanta with a heck of a resume, but he’s not bringing the Legion Of Boom with him. He has to create his own crew of defenders now. He has little to work with currently so he best not worry about X’s and O’s just yet. He can start implementing schemes once he has a decent lineup on the defensive side of the ball. Some drastic moves are needed to make that happen. We will see if management has the guts to make these moves.

Gary Greys STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON Trailer Packs Its Punch

Every N.W.A. fans has wondered when their story would ever be told as they were truly a part of making history while also punching through cultures with their music. F. Gary Grey, who knows the subject well and you can see if in the first look trailer of “Straight Outta Compton” below.

F. Gary Gray’s “Straight Outta Compton” has just released the first look red band trailer which can be called an authorized account of the rise of N.W.A., the Hollywood Reporter reported today.

The first minute of the nearly four minutes long trailer features Ice Cube and Dr. Dre driving around their old neighborhood giving us a full background history of where N.W.A. came from. This also gives the film all the authenticity fans need to know that it’s not going to be a Hollywood type film where mistakes from the past are hidden and prettied up. This trailer shows us the grittiness and frustrations in the neighborhood during the very conservative 80’s.

As the trailer rightfully shows, the rise of N.W.A. was something the establishment wasn’t ready for, and when the frightening portrayal of urban life was shoved in their faces, they didn’t know what to do. It follows up to the 1992 riots that came about after the Rodney King beating to show how everything in the country was coming to a head with such a culture clash.

Tragedy has already struck the film during a promotional shoot when Suge Knight showed up a few miles away and got into a deadly altercation resulting in the death of Terry Carter. Cle “Bone” Sloan was badly injured when Knight allegedly ran over him with his car. Knight is currently being held until today where he’ll have his bail hearing. Bail was originally set at $2 million after Knight turned himself in on Jan. 30, but it was revoked just days later when a bail commissioner said that the 49-year-old rapper was a possible flight risk.

nwa straight outta compton movie poster 2015 images

For those not familiar with N.W.A. here’s the full synopsis:

In the mid-1980s, the streets of Compton, California, were some of the most dangerous in the country. When five young men translated their experiences growing up into brutally honest music that rebelled against abusive authority, they gave an explosive voice to a silenced generation. Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how these youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war.

Starring O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, Straight Outta Compton is directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job). The drama is produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who are joined by fellow producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright. Will Packer serves as executive producer of the film alongside Gray.

Straight Outta Compton” hits theaters on August 14.

BAFTAs Give Richard Linklaters BOYHOOD Love Plus Full List Of Winners

Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood” is proving that just when you think you’ve got the Oscar race for best picture figured out, things change quickly. This happened last night at the BAFTA’s after “Birdman” has been collecting SAG, PGA and DGA awards faster than Kim Kardashian collects marketing opportunities, but that run stalled last night at the British Awards show.

Everyone pretty much had Michael Keaton’s “Birdman” locked up as the Oscar contender after winning the Director’s Guild Award (DGA) Saturday night, but last night Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood” changed all that, Variety reported today. After “Birdman” had won the top ‘best picture’ awards from the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and Producers Guild Awards (PGA), so it seemed like a sure Oscar lock for the dark comedy.

boyhood wins bafta for best picture director with ethan hawke 2015

Last night at the BAFTA’s, “Boyhood” walked away with best picture of the year, and Linklater took best director while Patricia Arquette received the award for supporting actress. Naturally, some will say this means nothing, but it shows that the best picture Academy Award is still up for grabs with no sure bets this year. Some are still predicting the box office powerhouse “American Sniper” could sneak in as a darkhorse, but Acadmey Award voters usually shy away from controversy, and the Clint Eastwood film has attracted plenty of that.

With only ten days left for Academy Award members to get their votes in, expect more surprises.

Stress Helped Get Rosie O’Donnell To Leave THE VIEW Again

Stress Helped Get Rosie O'Donnell To Leave THE VIEW Again

Now that it’s all over the place, Rosie O’Donnell is making sure that people know that there was more reasons than her just leaving another wife that caused her to leave the daytime talkfest “The View”. Granted, that would be enough to cause a problem but Sherri Shepherd made it through her divorce, and it was messy, without having to leave the show. Thankfully, the show left her. O’Donnell is taking better care of herself these days, and it seems that the stress levels on the ABC show were really getting to her.

Rosie O’Donnell further explained her decision to leave ABC’s troubled daytime talk show “The View”, People Magazine reported today.

The comedian/actress said that this was what her doctor ordered as she suffered a near fatal heart attack in 2012 and is taking much better care of herself since.

“My doctors were noticing that there was an uptick in my numbers since I started on the show,” she said. “It got a little bit worse right before the holidays, and my doctor was kind of concerned, so when I went back after the holiday break, she said to me, ‘You know, the stress level is too much,’ ”

O’Donnell denies that infighting between the multiple hosts and producers caused her decision.

“No,” she said. “This is definitely about my heart. It’s about [the] company of Disney being amazing… When I sat down with them and said, ‘Here is the deal, this is what’s been going on with me personally and professionally,’ they were great… It’s not about anybody else. It never was and it never will be. Everybody wants a show to work and for it to succeed. But [what] you want mostly is to take care of your health.”

While the gossip columns had been following O’Donnell’s antics on the set of “The View,” they’ve had not paid attention to her personal life, which had been floundering as she and her wife Michelle Rounds have now decided to split up. With all the tumult, she feels it’s better to leave the daytime show and focus on her five children. She and Rounds separated in November after being married for nearly three years. They were married in a private ceremony in June 2012, and they adopted a baby girl, Dakota in 2013.

Rosie’s rep, Cindi Berger, confirmed the marital split, as well O’Donnell’s departure from “The View,” in a statement Friday night: “I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave ‘The View.’ Next week will be her last.”

“Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show,” an ABC rep said in a statement to THR. “When she told us that she wanted to exit The View, we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We’re delighted she’s still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on The Fosters. And we know she’ll return to The View often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family.”

“The View” tried shaking things up in September to stave off low ratings numbers after the rough year with Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy which drove viewers off in the demographics that ABC covets. Bringing back Rosie O’Donnell seemed like a good idea as you never knew what she would say, and that kept viewers coming back whether they liked her or didn’t. Adding Rosie Perez, hoping to pull in a different demographic along with Republican Nicole Wallace just hasn’t had the impact they were hoping for.

ABC has remained quiet on who will fill her seat on “The View” along with Rosie Perez as it has been widely rumored.

No Paparazzi Excuses For Bruce Jenner Crash That Killed Woman

No Paparazzi Excuses For Bruce Jenner Crash That Killed Woman

It’s not looking so good for for Olympian and reality star Bruce Jenner as his excuse for rear ending a woman was photographers chasing him. I don’t know why he would have said that as it’s being reported the woman in a white Prius slammed the brakes and there are signs that Jenner braked hard trying to avoid hitting her. Jenner was the third car in the multiple rear-end collision, according to police. Five people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Los Angeles authorities have said there is no evidence that Bruce Jenner was being chased by paparazzi which caused his involvement in a fatal car accident, CNN reported today.

We reported yesterday that members of the Jenner family had contacted TMZ telling them that paparazzi pursuing the Olympian gold medalist has precipitated the crash.

“As of right now, there is no indication that Bruce Jenner was being chased by paparazzi at the time of the crash,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Lecrivain said.

“There was a possibility that paparazzi was following him at the time of the crash, but that is a very regular occurrence, and (there is) no indication at this time it was a contributing factor of the crash.”

Eyewitnesses told police that Jenner rear ended the white car ahead of him causing it to go into incoming traffic where it was then struck by a Hummer. The woman driving this car has died.

Woman Killed In Bruce Jenner Three Car Accident

Now that it is appearing to be Jenner’s fault, fans are wondering if this could lead to jail time for the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star. There has been much media scrutiny surrounding him as he made it official that he’s transitioning from a man to a woman.

The attorney concludes that if the investigating department determines Jenner “acted negligently or grossly negligent in evading pursuing paparazzi,” that it’s likely he will be facing some sort of legal punishment for his actions.

Jenner was on his way back from picking up his Polaris UTV at a wounded veterans group he had loaned it to.

There will obviously be more to this story as the days go on, and we’ll report to you what we find out.

BRING IT! Ep3 Recap: Return Of Purple Diamonds

BRING IT Ep3 Recap: Return Of Purple Diamonds

The girls and Ms. D are back at it again this week on Bring It. In the second episode, they went up against the Divas of Olive Branch and things got out of control very quickly. Diana, not one to be disrespected (but she can be disrespectful) called out Neva and her team for poor sportsmanship which ultimately led to the Divas leaving before the awards were given out because the coach felt that disrespected. For the record, I totally agreed with Neva last week. Ms. D was out of line, but then again when is she ever not out of line?

This week, the girls compete against their “biggest rivals” the Purple Diamonds (PD), who happen to be another Jacksonville, MS team. The thing that is funny about this show or at least about Ms. D and her competition is that every week it seems like she is facing her biggest rival. It is always, “we have to redeem our title” etc. blah, blah, blah. It is interesting to see what they consider to be reasons why to get back at another team.

bring it miss d talks to dancing dollz about purple diamonds 2015

Ms. D expresses her disgust with the way the Purple Diamonds acted the last time the two teams faced off. PD won and two of the girls slapped their asses at the Dancing Dollz pretty much telling them to kiss their butts. This did not go over well with Diana and what they did seemed to be all that she could talk about.

Before the competition, the two teams and the captains meet to “go over” what they expect to happen. Apparently, the way things went down last time, Diana felt like there was a possibility that a brawl could break out. Of course she expressed to the coach Shanika that she did not like the way her girls behaved and that there will be none of that. Shanika, who is VERY pregnant in the episode, apologized and said that she did not direct her girls to do that. It was only two members of the team and it was not the whole team. Of course Ms. D can’t really accept that and goes off talking about how it just better not happen again.

bring it moms worried about puple diamonds competition 2015

This is one of the things that I don’t get about her. She has this need to be in control so badly and her whole stance about not being disrespected is kind of bogus because she speaks to the parents and the girls in very disrespectful tones all the time. This brings me to the moms. This week, they decided to “stand up” to Diana because they don’t feel like the girls should be competing against the Purple Diamonds.  They fear that something will happen because tensions are just too high. Kayla’s mom is especially vocal. After practice they go into Diana’s office to express their concern and the first thing she says is, “what ya’ll doing in here.” From there, raised voices and flaring tempers commence.

I understand the parents on this particular issue. They feel there is a possibility that their girls will be put in a situation that runs the risk of getting out of hand. Ms. D did not want to hear anything they had to say and that further proves my theory that she is hell bent on being in control without having to answer to anyone. I mean she speaks harshly to these moms, she talks over them and she does not listen to them at all. I don’t see how none of them have whipped her ass yet the way that she snaps at them for no reason. She dismisses them from her office telling them, “I have to go.”

Later we see her talking to husband as they play with their son at a park and her whole demeanor is changed. I don’t know if it is just with other women she puts on this alpha female persona, but she was calm and even meek when she spoke with her husband. She expressed to him how the parents came in to talk to her and that their concerns make her question herself and her decision to go ahead and compete with PD. He tells her to go with her gut because she is not going to let anything happen to the girls. And so she does.

Competition time comes and there are two categories. She is surprised that PD is not competing in the creative portion. Shanika said she feels that the best thing for her team was to focus on the battle competition and I respect that. The Dancing Dollz’s secret weapon this week for the creative portion was a group of male dancers who came out toward the end of the performance and the whole routine went over pretty well with the crowd.

Then the battle competition takes place and of course, each team talked so much smack about who was going to win. Diana definitely pumped up the girls to proclaim them the better team. They each did their thing and one of Purple Diamond’s slipped off of her chair during a stunt, which Diana thought was funny.

In the end, the Dancing Dollz won the creative competition but the Purple Diamonds were crowned the winners in the battle category once again and I think they deserved it. When it comes to the dancing, they were better, their technique was more detailed,, and they looked like all-around more defined dancers.

Diana didn’t really have much to say outside of “we both come from the same place” and something about needing to get along. The girls also showed better sportsmanship, hugging each other at the end of the ceremony. Shanika and Diana’ even exchanged pleasantries which included a side hug (and probably a side eye).

It was good to see Diana eat some humble pie. You can’t win them all and it’s back to the drawing board for them.
