LOVE & HIP HOP NEW YORK: Mind Your Manners Recap

Love and Hip Hop is almost over, but that does not mean that they aren’t going to give us something to still tune into every week.

The show opens up with Yandy talking to her girl Kimbella about what Mendeecees did with saying that Amir was in the hospital. She can’t seem to move past it and they are literally not talking to each other. Kimbella tells her that she is wrong just as much as Mendeecees and that she should be the “bigger person” by just apologizing. You know that Yandy is not feeling that.

They end up meeting after he talks to Peter Gunz (of all people) and he decides to be the bigger person apologizing first which he should have done because Yandy is pregnant. He should have gotten her attention some other way.

Yandy accepts his apology but still has some unfinished business with Remy. Kimbella meets her at her office because she just happens to be around. Yandy calls Remy into a meeting to pretty much fire her because she had no business interfering with their argument. Remy comes in (without knocking) and things get heated quickly. Yandy tells her that this is her last exchange with her and that she already had her last exchange with Mendeecees. As Remy tells Yandy “hell no” Kimbella is itching to put this girl in her place, which she does when Remy says “Tell your pit to stay in her dog house.”

Then there’s Diamond. This chick just keeps showing her age (or at least her childish mindset) every episode. She meets with her “friend” Marge about what happened with Cisco and how he dissed her after Rich gave him the letter. She also tells her how Rich has been wooing her because he’s sweet and attentive. Um hello crazy girl, he wants in those pants. Get smart chick.

Later, she meets him at a restaurant and he tells her what Cisco says about him not messing with her to which she goes buck wild. She tells him to fuck Cisco and to “treat yourself.” This girl is a psycho because she goes from “fuck that shit” to “you’re so cute.” She then asks him what he wants right now and he says “To take you into the backroom and knock your screws loose.” This bitch is gonna say, “Then let’s go.” They walk into the bathroom and all we hear is “Mic off.” Real classy Rich.

After their romp fest, Diamond decides to show up to an even that Rasheeda is hosting which Rich attends to support. She immediately goes in and says that any girl that keeps trying to step to Rich “will get fucked up.” Rasheeda calls her bat shit crazy. Diamond meets Cyn and comes off straight loco. She proclaims Rich her boo to which he says (during his confessions) that they are not together, she is not his girl and that “whatever happened in the bathroom with strawberry, was meant to be left there.” Come on Rich. Why are you playing? Now you got this crazy ass bitch telling every chick she meets that you’re her man and that she will fuck them up.

Tara later meets with Rich to talk to him about here new business giving etiquette advice to artists. He throws Jhonie Blaze her way because “she’s kind of crazy” and Jhonnie joins their meeting. Tara can see that there is a thing going on between the two of them.

It seems that after Amina put her foot down on Peter coming back into her life, he seeks to give back to the community by meeting with young guys who are thugging on the streets so that they can do better and not walk down the road they did.

After the talk, of course they catch up, and Peter gives him the low down on Amina and Tara. “I’m only guilty of loving two women at one time.” Um Peter… boo, boo, you are guilty of a lot more than that.

With that, through everything that has been going on, Tara is showing immense growth. Lik she is shocking me. She and Amina meet for a playdate with Corey and the boys and Amina pours it all out on her. This is an awkward moment because Tara is listening to the woman who “stole” her man say that she can’t do it anymore.

Speaking of the grim master, Peter and Amina are back in the studio but that does not mean that they are back together. She shows up and tells him that he needs to leave the apartment and not come back to the house. The thing that I don’t get with Peter is how he turns it around on her always. She says that she wants a break and he says that you saying that “sends me out there in the world.” Nigga did you just say that her kicking you out for cheating and loving two women is her making you act single. You were already doing that. Like literally, I can’t.

The episode ends with Tara’s business launch party and Rich throwing his weight behind her. He shows up with Jhonnie Blaze who is one of her clients. Chrissy and Rasheeda show up and she asks him about Diamond (his new joint). He tells them what happens and of course they make fun of him because it is clear that she is another level of crazy.

So the stalker Diamond shows up and sees Rich and Jhonnie making a toast. He asks her, “Why you walk in here all aggressive.” Jhonnie asks what’s going on and Diamond tells her that she is not talking to her. Blaze throws her glass in her face and of course they fight. In all of this, it’s Rich’s fault. He is playing with these chicks and enjoying it.. Newsflash forty something year old Rich Dollaz, having young girls fight over you is NOT THE BUSINESS.

JUSTIFIED EP 608 Dark As A Dungeon Recap

This week on Justified, Raylan Givens starts to let go of his past and his hatred for his daddy, Arlo Givens, in this episode of Justified. Fresh off his commitment to Winona to give their relationship a shot, he starts getting rid of some old memories. Burning up Arlo’s old war trunk full of pictures and letters was a good start toward purging all his old demons as a younger man. It seems like our gun slinging Marshal is moving forward, and it’s about time.

Boyd shows just how cold blooded and callous he has become. Carl tells him about “The Pig’s” tragic fall in the mine and Boyd barely blinks an eye. Zachariah catches on to this later in the mine as he tells Boyd he is a “real leader of men” sarcastically.

Raylan continues trying to erase his past by having his mama’s grave dug up and moved off his property. He wants to do the same with Arlo’s but doesn’t care what the man doing the moving does with his daddy’s remains. This is a pretty extreme measure even for a man like Givens.

Tim shows up to give Raylan the latest on the manhunt that Givens has lost interest in or never really had. Raylan tells Tim he is checking into Zachariah and that makes Tim question why none of the locals are named Steve or John. Nice point by the sniper.

Carl has accompanied Ava back to her home only to find Ty Walker waiting for them. Walker needs Boyd’s help escaping the hills of Kentucky and is willing to help him steal the contents of Markham’s safe if Boyd will help.

Raylan keeps his word to Tim as he shows up to question Zachariah. The old drunk is hardly aware of who Givens is or that he is a Marshal with a nasty disposition. Raylan has to give the old timer a body shot as he heads inside the shed for a look at what the nut job was hiding. Raylan sees enough dynamite to fill up Wynn Duffy’s tanning bed and gets punched by Zachariah on his way out of the shed. He floors old Zachariah to which the old guy responds, “You had enough?” Hilarious. Raylan lets him off the hook and seems to think he will help get Boyd trapped with this hair brain scheme.

Hale and Duffy continued their creepy partnership and Mikey even tried to work in a game of tennis with the cougar. That went over quite badly for the bodyguard. Duffy had a file that he says shows that Markham truly was the man who ratted out her husband and had him killed eventually. She later shows the file to Art as he was summoned to her hotel room. She needs help getting to the bottom of this old mystery and is even willing to use the Marshals Service. I’m thinking that Wynn Duffy is the real rat. He certainly has that rodent look on his face, so it’s definitely plausible.

Carl’s brother Earl had his “pitiful life pass before him” when Ava hurt Walker as she stitched him up as he held a gun on the man. Doesn’t this guy know you are supposed to find a local vet when you need a gun shot wound fixed up?

Raylan finds Markham alone in his pizza joint and offers him a partnership of sorts. Givens wants Boyd so bad he can taste it, so he gets Markham to bait Boyd in a setup that involves Raylan getting Walker out of the picture. Offering a $100K reward for Walker was pretty smart so Markham agreed to use his own money for the payout. The announcement is made over AM radio. Hopefully the news spread via Twitter since AM is likely not that popular, even in Harlan.

Boyd has chosen to help Walker since he can just walk in with the safe combination instead of having to blow up an old mine to get to the money. But as usual, Raylan shows up to destroy Crowder’s big plans. Boyd should be as anxious to get rid of Raylan as the Marshal is to rid himself of the career thug. Boyd had the line of the week when he told Raylan, “You love to interlope in moments of high drama.”

Raylan mentions the $100,000 bounty on Ty Walker and Boyd did just what Raylan said any redneck would do. He went for the money and ratted out Walker. Of course Walker ran from the house as Raylan told him to stop. That ended badly for the ex soldier who showed up in Harlan to buy up land for his boss. He tried to shame Raylan for shooting him in the back, but the hardened Marshal isn’t phased by that shaky logic. He told the fugitive, “You should’ve ran toward me if you wanted to be shot in the chest.” Walker wanted fairness when just a few episodes back he ordered an innocent whore killed and murdered an elderly couple in their home.

As a side note, Boyd was on board with Walker helping him get the big money easily, but gave him up as soon as he heard about the $100K. It seemed like he gave the man up too quickly.

Raylan tells Boyd he can go get his money and they show up at the pizza parlor. Markham acts like he is a bit unhappy about paying Boyd, but it’s all a ploy. Givens wants Boyd to see the inside of that safe, full of cash. Raylan is pushing Boyd into doing something really dumb and in a hurry. I’m wondering if that money is even real. Maybe Raylan added some fake stacks just to entice Boyd even more. Why would Markham let them see $10 million in his possession? That seems both dumb and dangerous.

As Raylan sits in the basement he hears a distant explosion. That’s Zachariah of course underground. Boyd tells Ava about the huge payload in the safe, but she wisely wants to leave with the bounty they just received. Boyd has been hooked though. He can’t stand the thought of leaving $10 million behind, even if it means a smooth getaway with Ava.

Ava meets with Raylan once again. He knows something happened in Bulletville at that cabin. She won’t say though and they have another argument. She does reveal what mine shaft that Boyd is using to get to the safe from underneath. It will be interesting to see if she tells Boyd that she relayed that to the Marshal since they are supposed to be playing Raylan.

The last scene showed Raylan looking inside Arlo’s old shed. He thought there must be some bad things locked away there. But it was just an empty old building. He talks to the non existent Arlo for a bit and finally puts this memory behind him, just like he should have done long ago.

Raylan let Rachel know that Ava has been compromised so they need to have a plan for her. The season is coming to a head and I have no idea who will win out. Boyd is showing just how cold blooded he is now as we saw with him not caring about “The Pig” being dead in a hole. Raylan seems ready to move on and is in a hurry to make that happen. I thought maybe both men could win in the end, but it looks like Boyd needs to be put down.

EMPIRE Ep 10 Recap: White People Problems

Last night, we were hit with the second to last episode of a monstrously successful first season of the hit Fox show Empire. And when I say hit, that’s exactly what I mean. I will tell you that there are spoilers in this recap so if you haven’t seen it, just be forewarned.

The show opens up with the family, save Lucious, at the hospital visiting Andre. Dre is quiet and none responsive as he sits on a couch next to Rhonda. Cookie apologetically tells him that his father is not going to be able to make it to their session but he will see him when he comes to the house later to sign paperwork for the IPO. Hakeem and Jamal talk to Andre, trying to get him to say something but he sits silent the entire time. Jennifer Hudson also guest stars on this episode as a musical therapist to which Cookie looks at her and the white doctor who calls her oldest son’s condition a mental illness, crazily. “Musical therapy… mental illness, that’s white people problems” is pretty much what she says.

She goes over, kneels before Andre and begs him to speak. He doesn’t which just makes her even more upset. The family tells him that the IPO would not be if he wasn’t for him in an attempt to cheer him up, but he still doesn’t say anything.

Back at the house, we see Vernon and Lucious sitting at the table talking about the impending IPO. Lucious shares with his old friend that he is giving Cookie a generous share of the company and that…. Are you ready for it… he’s going to ask her to be his wife… again. Vernon asks him if he’s sure. Lucious tells him that he’s going to do it right this time and mentions that he and Cookie will raise Lola. This is an interesting foreshadowing because if Lola is Jamal’s daughter, why would Lucious insist on raising her, which is exactly what he did when his son later comes and tells him that he wants to have his daughter with him and be a real dad.

Cookie is back in her office and Malcolm comes in. He tells her that he will be staying away from her because he has fallen for her and being that he works for her ex-husband, he can’t cross that line. Cookie, who is widely attracted to him, doesn’t accept what he has to say and they get it on right there in her office (get it).

Later, she is in the dining room talking to Malcolm on the phone. As they flirt and she tells him that she is not wearing any panties, Lucious walks in and she quickly changes the subject and hands up. He is about to drop the bomb on her about him wanting her to be his wife when they are interrupted.

In this episode too, we see just how deep Camilla’s claws are in Hakeem. Now I understand that “age aint nothing but a number” but at some point you have to open your yes. At the signing of the IPO, Hakeem brings his girl and she immediately starts acting as if she is his manager trying to get him a deal with a big music company. Cookie doesn’t like her and Lucious peeps what she’s doing, so he calls her into his office where he tells her that he believes she’s after his son’s money. She says that she is indeed in love with the young Lyon and no amount of money will make her disappear. When she tries to leave the office, Lu locks her in and pretty much tells her that her ass is going to get gone, which she does.

Meanwhile, Dre is still in the mental hospital having a late night music session with J Hud’s character. It doesn’t seem to be really working so she stops, goes over and closes the door. Andre sits on the floor and she comes and kneels in between his legs, putting her head on his head. Yes you do think they are going to kiss and he even gears himself to do so. But she says, “Let’s pray.” Um, I don’t know where they pray like that (in a cult maybe) but that is definitely not a praying position I am familiar with. Anyway, Andre looks at her and says, “I don’t pray” to which she tells him, “Then I‘ll pray.” She grabs his hands and begins to talk to God.

The culmination of the episode takes place at the Lyon house during the IPO signing. Vernon, who clearly relapsed into drugs and drinking because Lu just won’t forgive him for plotting against him with Andre, brings Olivia and her “friend” Reg back to the house.

While there, Reg pulls out a gun on Jamal saying that he wants Lola back. Jamal tells him to shoot him if that’s what he’s going to do. Reg cocks the gun back. Cookie, who is standing behind Reg tries to grab the gun but ends up being taken “hostage.” Lucious acts quickly, jumping in front of Jamal. “Shoot me… do everyone here a favor.” Big daddy Lyon then drops the bombshell that Lola is his daughter WHICH was eluded to in the beginning of the episode in a flashback that shows a group of people chilling at the house, Mary J. Blige singing and Olivia and Lucious’ eyes meeting like, “Meet me later.”

Just when you think it’s all over for Cookie, Reg falls dead to the ground due to a bullet to the head by none other than Malcolm.

In the end, Cookie tells Lucious she will not marry him, Olivia and Lola leave, Dre is still in the mental ward, Hakeem is upset that Camilla is gone, Jamal doesn’t really know what to do, and the leader of Empire is left alone.

Next week is the two hour season finale and it is going to be everything.

You know, the one where some swindling tailor held up an invisble cloak (which was actually nothing) that only wise people can see. It’s a play on pride because no one wants to be called the fool who can’t see the clothes.

We’re not saying that Tim’s a crook or anything since he actually held a very fine and very thin piece of hardware you could wrap a Subway with. At 13.11 mm at its thickest, holding it at a proper angle will make the audience behind actually squint. Like the Apple Watch it’s introduced with, this ultrabook also comes in gold. Fit for an emperor? Yes. If the emperor hates wires and any other thing that connects to the sides of his devices. Like the diminuitive costume designer of the Incredibles’ abhorrence of capes, Apple now eschews ports that might snag on anything.

The new Macbook starts at 1,299 dollars and comes in silver, space gray and gold.It comes with a dual core 1.1GHZ Intel Core M processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD storage while higher priced versions will come with a 512GB SSD and a 1.2GHZ clocker.

The new Macbook does come with one port. A USB Type C female port that could be used for charging as well. Despite being able to see the product, we might as well be all fools to accept this new Macbook’s absence of ports. Anyway, anyone that can afford the gold version can surely afford wireless storage solutions and other wireless interfaces. This whole portless thing is ahead of its time. Hey, its Apple. It’s insanely great. It just might work.

The New Macbook ships out at April 10.

This week’s celebrity gossip includes a new member of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, drug abuse in the music industry, an engagement and much more. Fans of Big Bang Theory will be happy to know that Jim Parsons is the latest celebrity to receive the honor of a Hollywood Walk of Fame induction. His mother, boyfriend and several fellow cast members were present at the induction ceremony on Wednesday.

The Philippines is not exactly welcoming music group One Direction into their country for an upcoming concert. Local government authorities have stated that each member of the group must take a drug test before they will be allowed to enter the country. Bar Refaeli recently got engaged to boyfriend Adi Ezra. The couple has known each other since 2013 and despite their 10 year age different Refaeli thinks her older man is a perfect match for her and stated that men with more experience are easier to date.

While women like Bar Refaeili are sure of themselves, others can’t say the same. Russian supermodel Irina Shayk recently stated in a magazine interview that the five years she spent in a romantic relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo have left her insecure and that the couple is no longer together. She explained that having the wrong man makes a woman feel ugly.

In shocking news, Madonna confessed during a recent interview with Howard Stern that she was raped shortly after arriving in NYC at the age of 19. The singer reported that she was too shell shocked to tell anyone what had happened to her. This is only the second time she has publically talked about this incident. She previously mentioned it during a 2013 interview with Harper Bazaar magazine.

Madonna is also making headlines for expressing her satisfaction with her collaboration with Kanye West on three songs for her recent album. She stated that the album included a lot of reminiscing and that as far as she is concerned “Kanye is the new Madonna.” She referred to herself and Kanye as comrads.

Miami Beach police were called to the home of Lil Wayne this week in what turned out to be a hoax. The person that called the police told them that four people had been shot at the house and that the shooter wanted to start a firefight with police. Lil Wayne reportedly was not home at the time of the incident.

Lindsay Lohan is in hot water this week after she tweeted about a recent Kanye West concert and included the dreaded N word in her tweet. After receiving backlash from many of her followers, Lohan deleted the offensive tweet.

Pharrel Williams and Robin Thicke learned an expensive lesson this week when they were both found guilty of copyright infringement and now have to shell out $7.3 million to the family of Marvin Gaye. The two collaborated on the song Blurred Lines in 2013, but a jury determined that they ripped of Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up,” released in 1977.

While in Australia filming the next Pirates of the Carribbean movie, Johnny Depp reportedly suffered a hand injury off set, according to a source. There are rumors that Depp will have to undergo surgery before resuming work on the movie.

The drama between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey continues as Cannon is stating that Carey sold the couple’s mansion in Bel Air without even telling him. According to Nick, who has filed a lawsuit not only against Mariah but against her business manager too, the house was sold behind his back. Her business manager fought back by stating that Cannon is desperate and is filing a frivolous lawsuit.

On an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week Jussie Smollet, an actor on the TV show Empire, admitted that, like his character in the show, he is gay in real life as well. He told Ellen that she had inspired him and he felt she was very inspiration for gays and lesbians all over the country.

It seems that Bill Cosby’s career may be starting to bounce back after recent allegations that in the 70s and 80s he assaulted several women. During an episode of Good Morning America earlier this week, a promotional video that he filmed for an upcoming project was aired.

Hilary Duff threw a baby shower for her sister Haylie this week. Several celebrity guests were in attendance at the shower, including Kaley Cuoco, Lauren Conrad and Lacey Chabert. The shower reportedly included ice cream and cupcakes in pastel colors.

Scott Disick has come under fire for his last minute cancellation of a planned appearance at a southern England nightclub. The nightclub manager he cancelled on alleges that Scott, through his manager’s twitter account, informed the manager the night of his scheduled appearance that he was not going to be able to make it. According to the manager Scott decided to go party in Paris instead. He also said that Scott’s manager was spineless and wouldn’t return phone calls from the manager.

In town for Paris Fashion Week, Lady Gaga is making headlines after one of her bodyguards allegedly choked a fan who tried to get too close to Gaga as she left her hotel. Fans are making quite a stir during Paris Fashion Week as Robert Pattinson and Kendall Jenner ran into similar problems.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s alleged boyfriend Nick Gordon reportedly entered a rehab facility this week due to both suicidal tendencies and drug abuse owing to his struggle to be near Brown as she lies comatose in an Atlanta hospital. Gordon was the subject of an intervention led by TV host Dr. Phil McGraw.

Cate Blanchett recently announced she had adopted a baby girl with her husband Andrew. The couple has three sons ranging in age from six to 13 years old. The actress once told Time magazine that she only takes on projects that allow her to continue raising her children with her husband.

Most Underrated American League Baseball Players 2015

The excitement level is building as spring training games get underway this week in both Arizona and Florida. This also gives me a change to get a little excited about the most underrated players in the American League. Every year we see a star that might get over looked or even a sleeper that comes out of nowhere.

This could be a lot of reasons starting with the fact that some times it all comes down to the city you play in. We have all seen what has happened in the years past when a player makes either the American League or National League All-Star team that doesn’t deserve to land the spot.

This is simply the biggest reason these players land on this list of most underrated players in the game. Along with looking a where a player might play we also look at what these players might be making compared to players that stack up very similar.

The last area we like to focus on is how these players have done over a larger period of time. Now that doesn’t mean we will disregard an up and coming player but we just like to see a track record as well. Sometimes despite multiple seasons of success they might not get the recognition they deserve.

This being said here is our list of most underrated players in the American League.

Adam Jones, Baltimore Orioles: While Jones has had his share of success including trips to the All-Star game he still doesn’t get the recognition he deserves. Start by looking at his team friendly deal he signed a few years back. Jones enters 2015 making $13.3 million dollars and lands him 70^th on the most expensive players in baseball.

Yes that is still a lot of money but have you seen some of the players above him on this list that play outfield? Michael Bourne, Shin-Soo Choo and Alex Gordon all make more than him this upcoming season despite putting up the types of numbers Jones has.

Jones has at least 25 home runs in each of the past four seasons to go with at least 82 runs batted in. Prior to the stretch of twenty home run seasons Jones put together back to back 19 home run seasons on a very bad Baltimore Orioles ball club.

The other factor that you have to take into consideration is his durability factor something that many fans don’t take into consideration. Jones has played in at least 149 games in five straight seasons. This ensures Buck Showalter and the Orioles lineup their star outfielder will be in the lineup night in and night out. This also helps out his pitching staff ensuring them their gold glove center fielder is out manning his position.

Jose Altuve, Houston Astros: The Astros second baseman finished with the most hits in baseball last season as well as the highest batting average. Altuve also was only one of two players in the game with over 200 hits as Michael Brantley was the only other player to accomplish this feat.

That being said Altuve doesn’t get the recognition that players like Ian Kinsler or Robinson Cano might receive. Now we know Altuve doesn’t hit for the power like those two but a player who can get on base as well as his ability to swipe a base makes him a very valuable player to any ball club.

Unfortunately Altuve gets buried playing for a Houston Astros team that has struggled the past few seasons. This could all change in 2015, if the Astros find some success Altuve will become a bigger name in Major League Baseball.

Sonny Gray, Oakland A’s: The Oakland A’s righty is on the verge of being on of the games brightest starters. Gray also benefits from playing in a ptichers ball park out in Oakland. Last season in his first full season with the club, Gray finished with a 14-10 record in 33 games started.

In that stretch, Gray posted a 3.08 earned run average in 219 innings pitched. This came one season after Gray pitched to a 2.67 earned run average in 10 starts showcasing the A’s on the talent and potential he has as a front line starter.

He also produced in the playoffs in 2013 pitching to a 2.08 earned run average in two starts but failed to pick up a win in either start. That being said the team elected to go with a more seasoned veteran this season in the wild card game and it proved to be the wrong decision.

Chris Tillman, Baltimore Orioles: Tillman is another Oriole that doesn’t get enough credit across the country. Yes he might not have a below three earned run average but have you forgotten he does pitch in one of the best hitters ball parks in all of baseball.

That being said he has managed to rack up a 38-16 record in 82 starts over the past three seasons. Last season Tillman finished with a 13-6 record to go along with a 3.34 earned run average for the first place Baltimore Orioles.

Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer Ready For Indian Wells 2015 Tennis

The 2015 Indian Wells tennis event will continue on Sunday from California with key players scheduled for action in both the men’s and women’s draws.

On the men’s side Roger Federer is the highest ranked player slated for action. The World No. 2 will face Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman in what should be a victory for the Swiss. Schwartzmann, still a developing player on tour, is currently ranked 63rd in the world and does not appear to be a threat to the Swiss Maestro advancing. Their match is the fourth one up on Stadium court so tennis fans should be looking for a late afternoon to early evening start time.

Rafael Nadal will also see action on Sunday. The Spaniard, seeded third in Indian Wells, will face Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands. Sijsling is a veteran on tour but he can still only be judged as a moderate threat to Nadal. Their match is scheduled to start not before 7pm on Sunday night.

Other top players scheduled for action include Milos Raonic and Stan Wawrinka. Raonic has a tricky match ahead of him in Simone Bolelli while Wawrinka will face Robin Haase. Those two matches are scheduled for Sunday afternoon on Stadium 2.

On the women’s side of things, Serena Williams is the top player scheduled for court time. The World No. 1 has what could be a tough opponent ahead of her in Zarina Diyas, a Kazahkstani player that may have a future in the Top Ten on tour. Their match is the third one up on Stadium court, preceding the Federer match.

St Louis Rams Season Recap & 2015 NFL Draft Needs

The St. Louis Rams entered the 2014 season hoping to end their 10 year playoff draught. One season after finishing 7-9, things were looking up for the Rams: Sam Bradford was healthy again, the defense was one of the best in the NFL, and the defensive line was still one of the best in the league. On top of that, the Rams had the 2^nd overall pick in the NFL Draft from their trade with the Washington Redskins for Robert Griffin III. Unfortunately, injury had a different plan for St. Louis.

The Rams started out 1-4; and as if that weren’t bad enough they lost Sam Bradford to another season ending injury, and Pro Bowl defensive lineman Chris Long. Fortunately, the Rams hit the high point in their season the next week. In Week 7, the Rams pulled off a tremendous upset over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 28-26. The Rams actually had a 21-6 halftime lead in the game before the Seahawks started their comeback—the biggest lead held against the Seahawks this season.

The Rams finished the season 6-10 in the absence of two of their stars, but they did have some more great victories. In Week 9 the Rams beat their division rival San Francisco 49ers 13-10, and two weeks later the Rams pulled out their best victory of the season. The Rams held the Denver Broncos to only seven points on their way to a 22-7 upset.

In Weeks 13 and 14 the Rams pulled off an amazing feat when they didn’t give up a single point on their way to back-to-back victories. The Rams demolished the Oakland Raiders 52-0, and then continued the impressive play against the Washington Redskins, winning 24-0.

The Rams may not have had the best season in 2014, but they did what they could given all the injuries they faced to key players. Jeff Fisher is still the Rams head coach, so if they can add a little bit more talent to the roster they should be able to end their playoff drought. Fortunately for Fisher, the NFL Draft is coming up; so the Rams have a great chance to add the young talent they need to the depth chart. Here are the St. Louis Rams biggest needs heading into the 2015 NFL Draft:

Quarterback: Sam Bradford is simply too injury prone to start in the NFL, and the Rams desperately need a backup plan for if and when he goes down again in 2015. The problem is that only Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are ready to start right out of college, and neither of them will be available when the Rams pick 10^th overall. The Rams have a decision to make: they can draft a quarterback to sit behind Bradford and just hope that nothing happens, or they can hold off and select a starter in 2016. Either way, Bradford will really need to step up (preferably without tearing his ACL), or the Rams will have another mediocre year in 2015. UPDATE: Now that Bradford has been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, it makes all the above a moot point now.

Offensive Line: The Rams have a serious problem in the interior of their offensive line. Rodger Saffold is good, but Davin Joseph is likely to leave this offseason and Scott Wells is not worth the money he’s being paid. Fortunately for the Rams, guards are easy to get in the draft. The Rams could grab a guard as late as the 3^rd round and still get someone ready to start immediately. The Rams may also look to grab a center around the same time.

Italian Serie A Soccer Game Week 26 Review

Parma returns to action after two weeks of no-show. Parma, 20^th in the Serie A table, still have a realistic chance of battling out of the relegation zone although their closest competitors are 9 points ahead of them. Parma entertained Atalanta at home and the match ended in a goalless draw. The hosts got reduced to ten men in the dying minutes of the game as Rodriguez picked up two yellow cards in a span of nine minutes.

The Italian champions were bailed out by their charismatic midfielder Paul Pogba in the 82^nd minute. It was a typical Pogba screamer from about 30 yards from goal. Juve earned a narrow 1 – 0 victory over Sassuolo maintaining the lead over the challengers, AS Roma. Roma dropped two more points this weekend and now seem to be totally off the track. Trailing by 11 points to the league leaders, Roma were involved in a 0 – 0 draw at Chievo. With 12 games remaining, they are mathematically still in the race for the Serie A title, but at present they don’t seem motivated enough to get there.

Lazio managed an impressive victory on Monday. Lazio played host to Fiorentina and punished the visitors 4 – 0. Miroslav Klose, 36, is still contributing in the goal scoring department and his two goals helped his side go ahead of Napoli. Napoli are fourth on the table, although, they are equal in points tally to Lazio. Rafa Benitez’s team were held in a 2 – 2 stalemate with Roberto Mancini’s Inter. Hamsik and Higuain’s second half goals gave a comfortable lead to the Naples based side, but Palacio’s strike and Icardi’s cool penalty ensured a point for San Siro based side.

Another San Siro based side, AC Milan also played a draw at the weekend against Verona. The final score was 2 – 2 with Milan suffering a cruel 95^th minute blow. Lopez scored the late equalizer for Verona, denying Inzaghi’s side a chance of climbing above their arch rivals, Inter Milan. It is believed that the Rossoneri boss is soon going to get sacked.

When he was asked the same after the draw against Verona, he told Sky Sport Italia, “Will I be sacked? Don’t ask me. I will go with my head held high.

“You can say that we played badly tonight but not that we lacked commitment.

“In training, these boys are working with the right spirit. We definitely have to play better, but we must look forward.

“We’re not the Milan we were expecting to see, but we will try to be in the next game.”

“If we had won, it would have been the right decision,” he said. “And when Pazzini doesn’t play, you ask me why not!

“I thought that in a game like this Salvatore would give us a big hand at the back. I have to make decisions.

“It’s just disappointing that we conceded a goal with 10 seconds to go. We had this game in the bag.”

Cagliari and Cesena will have to try harder in the coming weeks if they want to get out of the relegation zone. The 19^th placed, Cesena picked up a point after a 0 – 0 stalemate against Palermo at home, whereas Cagliari, who are ahead of Cesena on goal difference, lost 2 – 0 at Sampdoria. The former Barcelona and Everton striker, Samuel Eto’o scored the second goal for Samdoria.

Including the midweek Champions League games, Real Madrid have not registered a win in three successive games. The European champions have set such high standards for themselves that the fans start worrying. Their loss against Schalke at the Santiago Bernabeu was their fifth defeat in 2015. But let us divert our attention to the La Liga.

Real Madrid have given up the top spot after dropping points against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday. Despite 13 attempts, Carlo Ancelotti’s men couldn’t find answer to Aduriz’s 26^th minute goal. Many star players including the Welsh winger, Gareth Bale were jeered by the Santiago Bernabeu faithful. Some rumors of Ancelotti’s removal from the managerial position also surfaced this week. Madrid are now trailing by a point to the Catalan giants, Barcelona. Quite contrary to Real, Luis Enrique’s team were rampant against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. Lionel Messi bagged another hat-trick and now holds the record for most hat-tricks in Spain. Well, breaking and creating records has become quite routine for the diminutive Argentine. But Suarez is also gaining pace with every passing week. His brace helped Barcelona to pick up a 6 – 1 win over Vallecano. Barcelona are still very actively involved in all the major tournaments including the Copa del Rey, Champions League and La Liga.

The reigning Spanish champions got held at the Vicente Calderon at the hands of Nuno’s Valencia. The hosts scored first in the 33^rd minute. Koke got on the score sheet for Diego Simeone’s side, but his goal was canceled out by Mustafi in the second half. Minutes before the final whistle Fuego Martínez picked two yellow cards got his marching orders from the referee.

Sevilla got a hard earned victory against Deportivo La Coruna and they inched closer to the fourth placed Valencia, who got held at the weekend. Both the sides are now separated by five points and can even eclipse Atletico with consistent performances. Sevilla won 3 – 2 against Deportivo at the latter’s home ground.

David Moyes’ Real Sociedad are not giving up on their mission of finishing in the top half of the table. With a 1 – 0 win over the Catalonian side, Espanyol, they have come two points closer to the tenth spot on the La Liga table. Canales’ 38^th minute goal separated the two sides and got three points for Real Sociedad.

After losing 1 – 0 to Elche, Almeria have found themselves batting in the relegation zone, whereas Cordoba’s 14^th loss of the season on Monday doesn’t paint bright picture of their future in Spain’s top division. Cordoba lost 1 – 2 at home to Getafe and are now dwelling at the foot of the league table. The 19^th placed, Granada didn’t do bad at all as they defeated the 7^th placed Malaga at the weekend. Few more performances like the narrow 1 – 0 win can help Granada’s cause of staying in La Liga.

Also, not just the title race, but also the race for the third spot has intensified. With 12 games to go, there are a lot permutations for the positioning of the teams in the top half of the Spanish league table.

So is it just me or did the guy who played Reg on Empire’s episode last night look just like Nick Gordon? Like, seriously I saw him and I thought to myself, “Oh so he did some acting before he went into rehab.” After appearing on Dr. Phil, he said he would go. The guy’s name is actually Jarod Haynes who played the character but his resemblance to Gordon is uncanny. I am pretty sure that the writers casted him on purpose because think about it, Gordon is painted as a leeching, violent untrustworthy man and so what Reg. Interesting to say the least.

Kathy Griffin Leaves Fashion Police

After only about seven episodes, comedienne Kathy Griffin as left the E! show Fashion Police. She says that they are just too mean and she thought she could bring her brand to the show. This move is questionable to say the least for a couple of reasons. First of all, Griffin is known for being mean and cruel. I myself have heard her say things about people that were totally uncalled for. Secondly, she just joined the damn show and she does not seem like a woman that leaves an established program (I mean she did consider herself a D-List actor at one point and time). I think it all comes down to the fact that she can be heard on the video where Giuliana Ranic diss of Disney star Zendaya, saying “…or weed…” There is way more to the story than she and her people are letting on to.

Angie Stone Says She’s the Momma

Singer Angie stone was recently arrested for hitting her daughter, Diamond, in the mouth and boy did she hit her. She told police that she did indeed strike her offspring with a metal jewelry stand. Now Diamond is claiming that her famous mom’s attack is the reason why she is missing her two front teeth (I think we all know what she wants for Christmas).

Stone says that while she did put her hands on her daughter that is not why she is missing teeth. She blames in on the fact that her teeth were already rotten and in need of a root canal. To be honest here, the pictures circulating do in fact support her claim because they look bad… really bad.

Diamond said that her brother had to eventually come and tear her mother off of her. Stone was booked on aggravated assault.

Joseline Hernandez Says Love and Hip Hop is Fake

So you know how we watch these reality TV shows and see how these people treat each other, as if this is really real life? Well Joseline Hernandez star of the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta franchise told a judge that it is fake.

The players of the show pretty much follow a set script. What, say it aint so.

She is currently being sued by Althea Eaton who claims that Hernandez was high on crack and cocaine during the reunion show and is the reason why Joseline beat her ass.

When asked by Eaton’s Lawyer if the real Joseline is what came out during the fight, she told him that they are all always acting.

Rodner Figueroa Fired for Insulting the First Lady

How people nowadays, in particular famous ones, think that they can say whatever the hell they want about whomever they want, and not suffer the consequences is beyond me. Such is the case with Univision host, or rather former host, Rodner Figueroa who was fired after saying some extremely inappropriate things about the First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama.

“Well, watch out, you know that Michelle Obama looks like she’s from the cast of ‘Planet of the Apes,’ the movie…”

Even when co-hostess Lili Estefan countered his comment asking him, “What are you saying?” and the other host Raul de Molina said Obama is indeed very attractive, Figueroa defended his remark by saying “but it is true.” This ass deserved to be fired. He was trying to be funny obviously but got his butt fired instead. You can’t get call the Michelle Obama a monkey and get away with it.

Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams Pay Up

A judged ruled this week that Robin Thicke and Pharrell used Marvin’s Gaye’s hit “Gotta Give it Up” for “Blurred Lines” with out permission. They have been ordered to pay $7.4 million to Gaye’s family in damages and other fees.

His son Marvin Gaye III said that the whole situation is not about the music but that the two artists disrespected the whole family. The duo could have further trouble on their hands thanks to Gaye’s daughter Nona and ex-wife Janis who are claiming that they hear similarities in Pharrell’s “Happy” and Gaye’s “Aint that Peculiar”

Damn, can’t these dudes get a break? In all fairness, I totally agree, “Blurred Lines” is “Gotta Give it Up.” But I can’t say the same for the other two songs.

What Facebook’s Oculus VR Purchase Could Mean For You

In March of 2014 Facebook negotiated to purchase Oculus VR, a company responsible for manufacturing virtual reality headsets. Officials at the social media site want to offer members an experience comparable to hanging out with their friends in person even when they are simply viewing a friend’s photos. An Oculus VR official has stated that Facebook could take their technology and provide its members with the ability to attend online parties with other members.

Aside from online parties, the technology provided by Oculus VR could allow Facebook to make their games and other applications much more interactive. According to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, people spend 40% of their online time playing games and 40% communicating with other members through the site.

After conquering the mobile world, Facebook began working on these plans to expand into 3D technology. They are hoping to roll out a product similar to Google Glasses, but ultimately more acceptable and less controversial.

In December of 2014 Facebook purchased the Nimble VR and 13^th Lab, which they plan to use to offer members of the social media site the chance to play hands on 3D games. This technology will allow people to physically touch virtual reality objects without even having the need for goggles, gloves or any other type of controlling device.

As of February of 2015 Facebook has been creating applications that will work in conjunction with their virtual reality enabled headsets. Users will reportedly be able to create content for the headsets. Not just meant for the average person, Facebook is looking to offer content created by celebrities as well.

Facebook is reportedly developing an application that will allow users to have the virtual reality experience of flying a Blue Angel aircraft. Other plans include virtual reality job listings as well.

One of the reasons that Facebook is allegedly attempting to implement this technology is that after 10 years of going strong, younger members are beginning to lose interest in the social media site as many of this generation’s parents and even grandparents are now using Facebook themselves, making it much less desirable to younger members than ever before.

Entrepreneurs and retailers may soon be able to use Facebook to present their products through virtual reality presentations, which could change the face of online retail sales and net Facebook even more money. Talk is that advances like this will lead to Facebook expanding even more than it already has in the past, much the way Google expanded so far beyond simply being a search engine.

The new applications being created for use with a Facebook virtual reality headset (which they will eventually be branded with the social media site’s name and logo) include viewing, marketing and sales applications.

Virtual reality will likely eventually allow Facebook to provide its members with the ability to meet “face to face” with doctors as well as travel to virtual locations and to watch various sports events. Face recognition and image processing are also likely in Facebook’s future as well.

One feature that Facebook is definetly planning on rolling out in the somewhat near future is paper, a feature that will make members news feeds easier to navigate. It takes content from other sources and customizes the content for individual members.

For all the planning and preparing Facebook is doing to make virtual reality services available to members, it will likely be quite a while before we see the fruits of their labor. Experts have said that the absolute earliest Facebook members may see virtual reality as part of the site’s services is in mid – 2015, but more likely it will be sometime next year or later before virtual reality apps are an everyday thing on Facebook.
