Buck was adopted by a great family.
We have been having such success with finding homes for our past week’s adoptable pets, which makes us that much more excited to bring yet another deserving kitty into the spotlight. As many of our readers know, we feature an adoptable pet – cat or dog – every week. Through our teaming up with North Shore Animal League America, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks hope to help find homes for deserving pets, as well as raise awareness for pet adoption and shelters.
North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies.
The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.
With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.
Without further ado…meet Buck!
At almost 3 years of age, Buck is a shorthaired domestic cat with tabby markings. Rescued by North Shore from New Jersey, Buck is handsome, regal-looking little fellow who is anxiously waiting to find his forever home. At the shelter, Buck is known for his playful personality. He can often be found playing in the shelter’s Cat Room or heard meowing for some pats and attention. In addition, he is also a big fan of kitty scratch posts and won’t pass up the opportunity to climb on a tall cat tree. Despite being a big, full-grown cat, Buck still enjoys acting like a joyful little kitten.
It has been said that pet owners smile more, laugh more and form special friendships with other animal owners and lovers. Buck will surely bring such improvements to his new owners’ lives.
Cats are extremely versatile and adaptable animals, making them the perfect pet option for almost every household. As mainly independent animals, cats are often low maintenance and are perfect for those who live an active and busy lifestyle who may not be able to take on the responsibility that is associated with owning a dog.
Rosie Tombolo, the Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America notes, “Buck uses his handsome features, including his big green eyes, to lure people into his cage to give him ear scratches and chin rubs.”
Being the fun-loving boy he is, Buck is suitable for homes with kids of all ages. In addition, Buck would also be able to adapt and thrive in a home that already has a four-legged friend roaming around.
Moreover, Buck is much more than a pretty face. His enthusiastic and loving personality makes him the perfect addition to any family. He will surely make every day just that much brighter when he finally has a place to call home.
