This week we are pleased to introduce a furry feline who is more-than-ready to be welcomed into a loving home. As many of our readers know, we feature an adoptable pet – cat or dog – every week. Through our teaming up with North Shore Animal League America, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks hope to help find homes for deserving pets, as well as raise awareness for pet adoption and shelters.

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we are working even harder this year to get even more pets adopted than last year.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

This week we are featuring an adorable kitty that goes by the equally as adorable name of Pom-Pom.

At just 11-months old, Pom-Pom is a soft, black shorthaired domestic cat. He is a particularly handsome little fellow with bright yellow-green eyes. Like many of his counterparts, Pom-Pom is a sucker for ear scratches and will never turn down some cat treats.

It has been said that pet owners smile more, laugh more and form special friendships with other animal owners and lovers. Pom-Pom will surely bring such improvements to his new owners’ lives.

Cats are extremely versatile and adaptable animals, making them the perfect pet option for almost every household. As mainly independent animals, cats are often low maintenance and are perfect for those who live an active and busy lifestyle who may not be able to take on the responsibility that is associated with owning a dog.

Being still on the fairly young side, Pom-Pom is a great companion to have around when you want to laugh and have some fun. On the other hand, he is also the perfect addition to any cozy movie night or morning spent huddled up in bed.

Rosie Tombolo, the Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America notes, “Pom-Pom is a vocal and affectionate cat who enjoys sitting on laps and will purr when you pet him. He would make a great companion whether you love to play for hours or enjoy relaxing on the couch.”

Moreover, Pom-Pom is patiently waiting to start the next chapter of his life. He has plenty of love to give and will make any family feel that much more complete. The staff of North Shore believes that Pom-Pom is best suited for a house that has children at least 10 years of age. In addition, his lively personality and the enjoyment he gets from being the center of attention makes it most ideal for him to be the sole pet in his future household.

With many years ahead of him, Pom-Pom is ready to form a bond with his family that will last forever. Pom-Pom’s spark and the inherent joy he brings with him will undoubtedly have his family smiling every single day.

If you have had cats previously and are interested in adopting Pom-Pom, please send an inquiry e-mail to DoritS@animalleague.org.
