UPDATE: Moose found a great new home this weekend. 2017 has been incredible as every rescue pet that’s been featured on Movie TV Tech Geeks has already found a home! We’re so excited as we’re now in our second year teaming up with North Shore Animal League America, the largest no-kill shelter in the world.  Don’t forget to check here as there’s more great rescue pets to be adopted.

So far, 2017 has shown to be a promising year for animal adoption. We have already had notable success in helping North Shore Animal League America find loving homes for several furry friends. This week, we are so excited to continue to contribute to such an important and admirable cause, as we present yet another adorable cat who is anxiously waiting to find his forever home.

As most of our loyal readers know, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks have been teaming up with North Shore Animal League America to feature adoptable pets – cats and dogs – every week for well over a year now. North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we hope to continue to find loving, suitable homes for even more pets.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

Now…time to introduce this week’s featured pet…Moose!

At just 1 year old, Moose is a handsome Domestic shorthaired cat. He was fortunate enough to be rescued by North Shore from the upstate New York area. Moose has an orange and white, soft coat of fur. His perky ears, little pink nose and striking yellow eyes are enough to capture the heart of any animal lover.

While staying at North Shore, Moose has been living in the center’s cage free Purina Cat Habitat. Here, he has shown to be a notably friendly little guy – both with his fellow felines and two-legged buddies. In the Cat Habitat, he is able to socialize with other cats, as well as play around on the Habitat’s cat trees. In fact, one of Moose’s favorite things to do is to climb up one of the Habitat’s trees and watch all of the birds flying in-and-out of North Shore’s window feeder.

It has been said that pet owners smile more, laugh more and form special friendships with other animal owners and lovers. Moose will surely bring these improvements to his new owners’ lives and help them lead a more joyful life.

Cats are extremely versatile and adaptable animals, making them the perfect pet option for almost every household. As mainly independent animals, cats are often low maintenance and are perfect for those who live an active and busy lifestyle who may not be able to take on the responsibility that is associated with owning a dog.

Jennifer Workman, the Feline Behaviourist at North Shore Animal League America notes, “Moose has a friendly and mellow personality. He enjoys snuggling in his two-legged friend’s laps and purrs loudly when he receives head scratches.”

Moreover, at such a young age, Moose has plenty of love and joy-filled years ahead of him. He has shown to be a kind and affectionate cat, making him the perfect addition to any suitable family. By adopting Moose, you can make 2017 the best year yet – for you, your family and of course, Moose!
