Emory found a home pretty quickly after being featured on our site.

We have such a cutie this week for you guys! As many of our loyal readers know, we here at Movie TV Tech Geeks have been teaming up with North Shore Animal League America for the past few months. With their help, we have been raising awareness for pet adoption. Every week we feature an adoptable pet – cat or dog – that is anxiously waiting to be welcomed into their forever home.

Even if you don’t live in the area, you can still contact North Shore Animal League, and they can guide you to the closest no-kill rescue shelter in your area for a similar dog or even arrange travel arrangements. If you have a friend you think would be interested, pass these articles on as we are working even harder this year to get even more pets adopted than last year.

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. For over 70 years, North Shore has been rescuing animals and advocating their proper care. Since opening in 1944, the organization has saved the lives of over 1,000,000 cats, dogs, kittens and puppies.

The shelter is located in Port Washington, New York, where it facilitates animal rescue and adoptions, as well as plays a lead role in the no-kill movement. North Shore Animal League America continues to innovate better and more sustainable ways to care for pets, in order to create a brighter future for animals everywhere.

With their vision, “To put an end to animal cruelty and euthanasia and to create a world in which all companion animals find compassionate, permanent homes.” North Shore Animal League America continues to make a positive difference in the lives of countless animals.

Now, without further ado…Meet Emory!

At just 2 years of age, Emory is a handsome Chihuahua Mix. Fortunately, he was given a second chance by North Shore Animal League America, as they were able to rescue him from the Midwest. While he is a small little fellow, he is already full-grown and is in good health. Emory has a mainly white, short coat of fur with big pointy ears. He has adorable, loving eyes and a little snout that will instantly put a smile on just about anyone’s face.

Chihuahuas are known for being full of personality and fun. Even though they may come in a tiny package, they are enthusiastic and loving. They often like to create strong bonds with their owners and stay by their side as much as possible. This particular breed is also known for being intelligent and adaptive. They can be very curious and adventurous dogs; therefore, you must keep a good eye on them when away from home, as they can maneuver themselves through even the smallest of escape routes.  Nonetheless, they are incredibly loyal pets who enjoy showing their affection and care for their family.

Rosie Tombolo, the Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America notes, ““Emory is a spunky pup with a new lease on life. He is a gentle and timid dog, but with additional socialization and time, he will turn into the little firecracker we knew he was all along!”

North Shore Animal League America’s Staff believes that Emory needs to go to a home in which there is another dog around. In addition, they believe that he would do best with a family whose children (if any) are above the age of 12.

Moreover, Emory is a young dog with plenty of joyous years ahead of him. He is more than ready to begin the new chapter of his life with a welcoming family that can appreciate all the love he has to give.

If you are interested in Emory, please send an inquiry email to RachaelR@animalleague.org.
