Not only did The Voice’s coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani recently make their relationship official, but fans of the show were also gifted with night 1 of The Live Playoffs tonight.
The night kicked off with a performance of “Locked Away” by R. City and coach Adam Levine. Fortunately, Adam’s vocal performance improved a lot since the last time he took the stage (when he performed a group song with his team).
The Live Playoffs continued on tonight’s episode of The Voice. Although earlier today Gwen Stefani shot down claims that she is dating fellow coach Blake Shelton (despite her representative issuing a statement saying she is), the show continues to play up the rumored romance.
It was the night of the big cut on NBC’s The Voice. On tonight’s episode, the Top 9 artists were cut down to the Final 4. This leaves the elite few to battle it out in the Live Finale, airing next week.
Monday (September 21) marked the premiere of The Voice season 9. The show opened up with this season’s four judges, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton singing snippets of each other’s hit songs (such as “Sugar” by Maroon 5 and “Up All Night” by Pharrell).
The Voice returned tonight after their huge cut. Last week, the competition eliminated 12 of their contestants – leaving just 12 singers to fight for the title.
